Abstract

ENGLISH: Strategy for Utilizing Artificial Intelligence in Islamic Religious Education Learning in Junior High SchoolsObjective: This study aims to develop strategies for the ethical and practical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) features in the Canva application to transform Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning at the junior high school level. Method: The research method used a qualitative descriptive approach. Data was collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Results: Canva's Magic Studio and automation feature reduced material preparation time to 30–60 minutes, enabling the production of relevant visual media. The “SIKAP” blended learning model with strict Islamic content control increased student motivation, theological understanding, memory, classroom interaction, and pedagogical efficiency. Conclusion: The integration of Canva-based AI, which is ethical and strictly supervised by humans (human-in-the-loop), has proven capable of revitalizing junior high school PAI learning, making it more engaging and relevant to the digital generation without compromising Islamic values or the role of teachers as guardians of morals. Contribution: This study developed a replicable and low-cost “Blended PAI-AI with Islamic Content Control” model for PAI teachers in Indonesia. It enriched the TPACK theory with the dimensions of Islamic ethics and content validation in AI-assisted religious education.INDONESIOA: Strategi Pemanfaatan Kecerdasan Buatan dalam Pembelajaran PAI di SMPTujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan strategi pemanfaatan fitur Kecerdasan Buatan (AI) pada aplikasi Canva secara etis dan efektif untuk mentransformasi pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di jenjang SMP. Metode: Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam serta analisis dokumen. Hasil: Fitur Magic Studio dan otomatisasi Canva mengurangi waktu persiapan materi menjadi 30–60 menit, menghasilkan media visual relevan. Model blended learning “SIKAP” dengan kontrol konten Islami ketat meningkatkan motivasi siswa, pemahaman teologis, daya ingat, interaksi kelas, dan efisiensi pedagogis. Kesimpulan: Integrasi AI berbasis Canva yang etis dan diawasi ketat oleh manusia (human-in-the-loop) terbukti mampu merevitalisasi pembelajaran PAI jenjang SMP sehingga lebih menarik dan relevan bagi generasi digital tanpa mengorbankan nilai-nilai Islam maupun peran guru sebagai penjaga akhlak. Kontribusi: Penelitian ini mengembangkan model “Blended PAI-AI dengan Kontrol Konten Islami” yang mudah direplikasi dan berbiaya rendah untuk guru PAI di Indonesia, serta memperkaya teori TPACK dengan dimensi etika Islam dan validasi konten dalam pendidikan agama berbantuan AI.

Abstract

ENGLISH: The Relevance of the Hadith 'A Woman is Married for Four Things' in Contemporary Muslim Mate Selection: A Maudhu'i ApproachObjective: This study aims to analyze the hadith “Women Are Married for Four Reasons” using a thematic approach and examine its relevance in the choice of a spouse in contemporary Muslim society. Method: This study uses a Maudhui approach, collecting related hadiths, analyzing their sanad and matan, and exploring the social context behind the hadith. Results: Although wealth, lineage, and beauty are essential, religion should be the top priority in choosing a spouse because religion is directly related to happiness and stability in the household. In addition, choosing a spouse based on religion is not only a matter of spirituality, but also of morals, emotional maturity, and readiness to build a household. Conclusion: The Maudhui approach offers a more comprehensive understanding of the message of the hadith for fostering a harmonious and sustainable Muslim family. Contribution: This research provides new insights into understanding the message of the hadith “Women are married for four reasons,” as well as its relevance in the social and cultural context of contemporary Muslim society.INDONESIAN: Relevansi Hadis “Wanita Dinikahi Karena Empat Perkara” dalam Pemilihan Pasangan Muslim Kontemporer: Sebuah Pendekatan Maudhui.Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hadis "Wanita Dinikahi Karena Empat Perkara" dengan pendekatan Maudhui (tematik) dan melihat relevansinya dalam pemilihan pasangan di masyarakat Muslim kontemporer. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Maudhui, dengan mengumpulkan hadis-hadis terkait, menganalisis sanad dan matan, serta menggali konteks sosial yang melatarbelakangi hadis tersebut. Hasil: Meskipun harta, keturunan, dan kecantikan penting, agama harus menjadi prioritas utama dalam memilih pasangan karena agama berhubungan langsung dengan kebahagiaan dan kestabilan rumah tangga. Selain itu, memilih pasangan berdasarkan agama tidak hanya menyangkut spiritualitas, tetapi juga akhlak, kedewasaan emosional, dan kesiapan membangun rumah tangga. Kesimpulan: Pendekatan Maudhui dalam memberikan pemahaman yang lebih luas tentang pesan hadis untuk membangun keluarga Muslim yang harmonis dan berkelanjutan. Kontribusi: Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan baru dalam pemahaman pesan hadis "Wanita Dinikahi Karena Empat Perkara", serta relevansinya dalam konteks sosial dan budaya masyarakat Muslim kontemporer.

Abstract

ENGLISH: Evaluation of the Love Curriculum Implementation in Shaping Students' Relational Character at State Islamic High Schools: The CIPP Evaluation Model Objective: This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Love and Compassion Curriculum in shaping students' relational character in Islamic boarding school-based education. Method: This study uses a qualitative approach with the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. Results: The Love Curriculum is highly relevant to the objectives of Islamic character education. The implementation of this curriculum is effective in fostering discipline, empathy, and cooperation among students through various coaching activities, such as tahfidzul Qur'an, ta'limul muta'allim, and muhadloroh. Conclusion: The formation of students' relational character is not sufficient through spiritual guidance and internal discipline in Islamic boarding schools alone; it requires continuous social learning that involves schools, families, and communities working collaboratively. Contribution: This study makes a theoretical contribution by emphasizing the relational character as a key indicator of the success of Islamic character education.INDONESIAN: Evaluasi Implementasi Kurikulum Cinta Kasih dalam Pembentukan Karakter Relasional Siswa di SMA: Model Evaluasi CIPPTujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi implementasi Kurikulum Cinta Kasih dalam pembentukan karakter relasional siswa pada pendidikan Islam berbasis pesantren. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan model evaluasi CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product). Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil: Kurikulum Cinta Kasih memiliki relevansi yang tinggi dengan tujuan pendidikan karakter Islam. Implementasi kurikulum ini efektif dalam menumbuhkan kedisiplinan, empati, dan kerja sama antarsantri melalui berbagai kegiatan pembinaan, seperti tahfidzul Qur’an, ta’limul muta’allim, dan muhadloroh. Kesimpulan: Pembentukan karakter relasional siswa tidak cukup hanya melalui pembinaan spiritual dan disiplin internal pesantren, tetapi memerlukan kesinambungan pembelajaran sosial yang melibatkan sekolah, keluarga, dan masyarakat secara kolaboratif. Abstract

ENGLISH: Santri Management in Pesantren (Islamic Boarding Schools)Objective: This study aims to analyze the management of students at the Dar El-Hikmah Islamic Boarding School in Pekanbaru through a review of the guidance, supervision, strengthening of student organizations, and implementation of extracurricular activities in the daily lives of students. Method: This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data was collected through intensive observation for one month, in-depth interviews, and data analysis using the Miles and Huberman model. Results: Student management at the Dar El-Hikmah Islamic Boarding School is carried out in a structured manner through the supervision of daily activities, continuous moral guidance, strengthening the student organization as a forum for leadership, and organizing extracurricular activities based on interests and talents, a whole range of responsibilities, and the social competence of students. Conclusion: The digital literacy capacity of students and the use of technology in the management system are still limited, so Islamic boarding schools need to strengthen these areas to adapt to the demands of the modern era. Contribution: This study reveals a structured santri development ecosystem, encompassing character development, supervision, organization, and extracurricular activities, which forms an integrative management system and opens up opportunities for pesantren transformation to ensure relevance and resilience in the modern era: Keywords: Student Management; Islamic Boarding School; Character DevelopmentINDONESIAN: Manajemen Santri di Pondok Pesantren Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis manajemen santri di Pondok Pesantren Dar El-Hikmah Pekanbaru melalui kajian terhadap proses pembinaan, pengawasan, penguatan organisasi santri, serta pelaksanaan kegiatan esktrakurikuler yang diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari santri. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi intensif selama satu bulan, wawancara mendalam, analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil: Manajemen santri di Pondok Pesantren Dar El-Hikmah dialksanakan secara terstruktur melalui pengawasan kegiatan harian, pembinaan akhlak secara berkelanjutan, penguatan organsiasi santri sebagai wadah kepemimpinan, serta penyelenggaraan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler berbasis minat dna bakat, seluruh rangkaian tanggung jawab, serta kompetensi sosial santri. Kesimpulan: Kapasitas literasi digital santri dan pemanfaatan teknologi dalam system manajemen masih terbatas, sehingga pesantren perlu melakukan penguatan di bidang tersebut untuk menyesuaikan diri dengan tuntutan era modern. Kontribusi: Penelitian ini mengungkap ekosistem pembinaan santri yang terstruktur, mencakup akhlak, pengawasan, organisasi, dan ekstrakurikuler, yang membentuk manajemen integratif dan membuka peluang transformasi pesantren untuk relevansi dan ketahanan di era modern.

Abstract

ENGLISH: Islamic Religious Education Learning Strategy Based on Self-Regulated Learning in Enhancing Students' Metacognition at Al-Izzah International Islamic Boarding SchoolObjective: This study aims to analyze the learning strategies employed by teachers to enhance students' metacognition through a Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) approach at Al-Izzah IIBS Batu High School. Method: This study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing a case study design. Data was obtained through interviews with the principal, vice principal for curriculum, Islamic Education teachers, homeroom teachers, and students. Results: The improvement of students' metacognition at SMA Al-Izzah IIBS Batu is achieved through a Self-Regulated Learning (SRL)-based Islamic Religious Education teaching strategy that involves teacher reflection and the development of students' learning independenc. Conclusion: Students' self-regulated learning (SRL) abilities influence their metacognition, which, in turn, shapes their learning independence and readiness to become lifelong learners. Contribution: This study contributes to the implementation of Self-Regulated Learning in Islamic Religious Education, enhancing metacognition and fostering life skills such as independence, responsibility, and self-awareness among students.INDOENSIAN: Strategi Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam Berbasis Self-Regulated Learning Dalam Meningkatkan Metakognisi Siswa di Al-Izzah International Islamic Boarding SchoolTujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru dalam meningkatkan metakognisi siswa melalui pendekatan berbasis Self Regulated Learning (SRL) di SMA Al-Izzah IIBS Batu. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan kepala sekolah, waka kurikulum, guru Pendidikan Agama Islam, wali kelas dan siswa. Hasil: Peningkatan metakognisi siswa di SMA Al-Izzah IIBS Batu tercapai melalui strategi pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam berbasis Self-Regulated Learning (SRL), yang melibatkan refleksi guru dan pengembangan kemandirian belajar siswa. Kesimpulan: Kemampuan Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) peserta didik memberikan pengaruh terhadap metakognisinya, yang pada akhirnya membentuk kemandirian belajar dan kesiapan menjadi pembelajar sepanjang hayat secara berkelanjutan. Kontribusi: Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam penerapan Self-Regulated Learning pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam, yang meningkatkan metakognisi dan menumbuhkan keterampilan hidup seperti kemandirian, tanggung jawab, dan kesadaran diri pada peserta didik.
