Jati Emas (Jurnal Aplikasi Teknik dan Pengabdian Masyarakat) is a scientific journal published by the Perkumpulan Dosen Indonesia Semesta (DIS), East Java Regional Board, with E-ISSN 2550-0821. The journal is published quarterly, in March, June, September, and December. Jati Emas aims to serve as a publication platform for scholarly works based on applied engineering and community service activities, particularly for early-career lecturers, students, and authors developing their scientific publication skills. The journal emphasizes author mentoring to ensure articles meet scientific standards, novelty, and publication ethics, and implements a published-in-ready system to accelerate the publication process. Its focus and scope include innovation and application of appropriate technologies, solving real community problems through scientific and engineering approaches, implementation of community service programs with direct impacts on community capacity building and welfare improvement, as well as the development of cross-disciplinary applied methods and practical solutions oriented toward social benefits.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are an important sector in increasing national economic growth. The Banyuwangi area, especially Rogojampi and Genteng Districts, has business potential that is worthy of being developed. Mothers who are BTPN Syariah customers as pre-prosperous Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are struggling to achieve their families' welfare. The main objective of this activity is to help provide assistance in accessing knowledge, market access, entrepreneurial strategies, and strategies to overcome business obstacles for MSME actors. BTPN Syariah is a bank that focuses on financing without collateral. Productive pre-prosperous mothers, through the Bestee Program in the remote site area, are given a Mentoring Facilitator and Market Power Driver. Mentoring activities by the Mentoring Facilitator include several stages such as location surveys, introductions and assessments, finding obstacles, mentoring, practice, and closing. The stages of mentoring Market Power Drivers are location surveys, interviews, mentoring, documentation, and reporting. The Bestee Program mentoring activities have a positive impact on all parties involved, especially BTPN Syariah customers who participate in the program.

Abstract

Social Forestry Business Group (KUPS) is an idea designed by the government to optimize community-based forest management in order to improve economic welfare and maintain environmental sustainability. KUPS can be called the same as MSMEs, but KUPS is under the auspices of social forestry. With the development of digital technology, online marketing is the most effective place to buy and sell. At KUPS Kemantan Village, business actors still sell forest commodity products traditionally and most of them are still semi-finished products whose value cannot be fully utilized. By utilizing digital marketing, it is hoped that it can increase sales, welfare, and increase the selling value of commodity products.

Abstract

The Gasing game in Pematang Lumut Village is a traditional game that has become their cultural identity, but in its development, it has been displaced by modern digital-based games. The Gasing Game Assistance Activity in Pematang Lumut Village is a community service activity carried out by Lecturers and Students of UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi to increase the existence of the top game as a cultural identity. This activity done by using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, researchers collaborated with the Pematang Lumut Village community to assist the young generation in playing tops. The activities include socialization of the importance of preserving traditional games, the introduction of Gasing tops and how to play the Gasing, as well as preservation through holding competitions that will be made a routine village agenda. The success of the mentoring is measured by the impact it produces, such as the number of competition participants and the enthusiasm of the community in participating in the top game mentoring. The Pematang Lumut Village also plans to make the spinning top competition an annual agenda so that the cultural identity of Pematang Lumut Village is maintained.

Abstract

Instilling anti-corruption and anti-drug attitudes is the first step in instilling positive attitudes. This is useful for preventing and overcoming the rampant corruption and drugs that can lead the generation of the Indonesian nation into negative things. Through the counseling or socialization method, this activity includes basic materials on drugs and corruption, including the definition, prevention, impacts, factors that can cause abuse, symptoms, the influence of corruption and drugs on the development of the Indonesian economy, religious perspectives, and instilling attitudes in society, especially the younger generation. The importance of instilling anti-corruption and anti-drug attitudes in the fields of formal and non-formal education can encourage awareness of preventing corruption and drugs. The impact is to create the next generation of Indonesia who have honesty, integrity, high responsibility, and intelligence in leading Indonesia in the future. This can lead to the realization of the golden Indonesia 2045.

Abstract

The logistics process in warehouse management is a crucial aspect in improving the operational efficiency of manufacturing companies. PT. XYZ requires a mature logistics strategy to support its production activities. The implementation of logistics activities often faces obstacles, both from internal and external factors, which can disrupt the supply chain flow. This activity explores the logistics planning and control strategies that have been implemented in the Warehouse Management System at PT. XYZ, and identifies the obstacles faced in logistics revitalization efforts. The activity uses a qualitative approach, with data collection through observation and interviews, including direct participation in service activities at the PT. XYZ warehouse. A revitalization program is proposed for the company, which involves improving logistics planning strategies and considering various factors that may cause errors in production or external factors such as natural disasters.

Abstract

In achieving the vision and mission of an organization, human resources are needed who have the capacity and quality that are in accordance with the needs. PT. Nusantara Medika Utama is one of the health facility management companies in Central Java and East Java which includes several hospital facilities, treatment clinics, ERs, and aesthetics. This activity focuses on the recruitment and selection procedures for non-leadership candidates at PT Nusantara Medika Utama. The implementation of the activity aims to evaluate practical steps in the recruitment and selection process for workers for the non-leadership candidate category. The impact of the implementation of the activity is expected to maximize the acquisition of human resources that are in accordance with the company's needs. Based on the results of the implementation of this activity, it can be seen that the procedures carried out by PT. Nusantara Medita Utama in recruiting new workers consist of several stages. The first stage is Pre-Recruitment in the form of identifying worker needs, the process of accepting applications and administrative selection, Academic Potential Tests, Psychological Tests, Interviews and Health Tests, to signing work contracts. Several suggestions have been submitted to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the implementation of the recruitment process.

Abstract

Companies need strategies to achieve their goals. Without a strategy, company performance cannot be managed optimally and its goals will not be achieved optimally. Giving rewards plays an important role in the strategy to improve performance because it can increase employee motivation to achieve company goals. The purpose of implementing this internship activity is to increase insight into the world of work, provide soft skill development, for work preparation, provide understanding related to a particular industry or field of work, and find out the strategies used by the company PT Nusantara Medika Utama in increasing employee performance motivation. The method of implementing this program consists of the preparation, implementation, and reporting stages. The program implementation lasted for 4 months at PT Nusantara Medika Utama, starting on February 19 - June 18. The results of the internship activity analysis showed that the ability to analyze employee needs in improving performance was able to improve employee motivation skills. PT Nusantara Medika Utama provides work motivation by providing feedback in the form of incentives and operational services.

Abstract

Customer Relationship Management (CRM) supports a company to provide real-time customer service and build relationships with each customer through the use of customer information. This CRM method emphasizes the human element. This activity is intended to monitor the effectiveness of the implementation of the CRM method. Measurements are carried out through data collection obtained from direct observation of consumers and the Educourse.id marketing team. The results found are that the company's CRM management can monitor marketing activities in carrying out visits to consumers and showing activities in each branch of the company. The implementation of CRM can increase sales by monitoring marketing activities through qualified leads. Monitoring activities begins when consumers are visited by the marketing team until the follow-up at the MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) stage. In addition, the performance of each branch can also be seen to increase or decrease. Thus, the company can predict long-term sales, marketing activities, and potential cooperation with each consumer. Cooperation in the form of coding and robotics learning.

Abstract

Maggots, the larvae of the Black Soldier Fly (BSF), play a crucial role in addressing food waste issues by rapidly and efficiently breaking down organic waste, reducing the volume of waste sent to landfills, and producing high-protein animal feed. Utilizing maggots helps solve environmental problems caused by food waste while providing economic benefits to the community. The community service activity conducted by the Institut Bisnis dan Informatika Kesatuan team focuses on using organic waste for maggot breeding to enhance economic welfare in RW 07 Ciparigi Indah, Bogor. This initiative has had a significant positive impact. In terms of management, the activity has increased community awareness of the maggot breeding cycle through provided guidance. In marketing, the operators have gained skills in using digital technology for marketing strategies and creating a financial reporting system application to assist with financial management. The activity has increased the supply of organic waste used as maggot feed in production. The provision of appropriate technology has led to a significant rise in maggot production.

Abstract

Logistics is a role in the corporate world that discusses the distribution flows management, maintenance, and storage of goods or materials. PT Sucofindo Samarinda Branch as a service company in the field of testing, inspection, and certification in various sectors requires a goods management website in order to adapt to the digital era. This need arises from user problems such as the difficulty of monitoring the flow of goods in real time, limited information on available goods, and the inefficiency of manual submission of goods. This company requires several functions on the web, starting from the ability to accommodate various types of goods information, monitor the movement and management of goods, track the position and quantity of goods, and to apply for permission to use or request goods from branches. The initial design of this web system was designed using Figma, then the design was built using Adobe Dreamweaver based on the Conceptual Data Model (CDM) diagram. The web also includes a database using PHPMyAdmin and Xampp to connect the web database without connecting to the web server, and implementing the entire system into the CodeIgniter framework. This system works as an information center in storing important data with a comfortable, simple, and clear UI design to improve the efficiency of supply chain management. Although web-based, human involvement is still the main element in providing accurate monitoring and periodic tracking. This activity provides a comprehensive solution to improve the quality of the goods management process at PT Sucofindo Samarinda Branch.
