Abstract

This study aims to explore how learning science with using techniques of The Six Thinking Hats to appear student activity, student creativity and creating a fun learning so the learning will be effective is to achieve the objectives learning. Basically, the discussion is focused on learning science base PAKEM using The Six Thinking Hats technique that can enable students and raise student creativity and improve students' critical thinking skills. Impacts arising from PAKEM against activity and creativity of students tested .. This study also explains how criteria of learning by using PAKEM approach and explain how the application of the Thinking Hats technique in science learning

Abstract

Sebagai salah satu bidang' utama dalam pengembangan media,penguasaan terhadap konsep-konsep visual dalam mata kuliah-mata kuliahyang linear dalam pengembangan media audio visual sangatlah penting.Masalah yang seringkali muncul (berdasarkan pengalaman dalam mengajar)adalah mahasiswa kurang memiliki sinkronisasi pada pengembangan konsepberpikir visual pada mata kuliah-mata kuliah audio visual. Pola pikirmahasiswa masih berada pada tingkat abstrak dan belum mampu menguasaisecara tuntas mata kuliah-mata kuliah linear tersebut. Sebagai salah satustrategi pembelajaran aktif dengan konsep full class learning, penggunaanstrategi vide() critique merupakan strategi yang mengutamakan keaktifanmahasiswa dalam melakukan analisis terhadap konsep-konsep visual didalam layar. Prosedur yang dilakukan dalam pembelajaran visual modelvide() critique diawali dengan memilih video tertentu yang berhubungandengan pokok bahasan yang akan dikuasai mahasiswa pada pertemuantertentu, kemudian mahasiswa diberi konsep-konsep penting yang akandigunakan dalam pembelajaran tersebut, selanjutnya, setelah penyajianvideo mahasiswa melakukan diskusi dengan menggunakan model videocritique. Ada banyak variasi kegiatan yang dapat digunakan untukmengembangkan model · ini, mengingat mata kuliah Media Pembelajaranmenun1'!t adanya penguasaan materi yang cukup kompleks. Berdasarkan·'femuan hasil penelitian penerapan model video critique ini penerapan modelvideo critique dapat meningkatkan penguasaan mahasiswa akan materipembeiajaran konsep visual sebesar 21.94 % dan lebih sesuai digunakanuntuk mahasiswa yang telah memiliki pengetahuan awal tentang konsepvisual dasar.

Abstract

Every parents wish to have children with moral and noble manner. These children will benefit not only their own life and their family but also their society. It is why every child should have moral and ethical education. Moral education is an educational process that is based on moral and ethics. In the attempt to teach moral and foster noble personality to children, parents need particular methods and strategy in nurturing their children. This method should be an agreement between the father and the mother so there will be consistency in the ruling, reward and punishment. Besides, parent’s exemplars are vital in children personality development.Parent’s effort in moral education and personality development consist of creating customary habits, dialog, exemplar, empathy, creating open environment and truthful behavior, inviting children to contemplation, giving respect to their children and put reward and punishment into practice. Reward and punishment are necessary to reinforce children behavior. Rewards are given to encourage children to maintain, repeat and improve good behavior while punishments are given to stop bad behavior. Some guidelines in applying rewards and punishments are: (1) do not punish when you are angry; (2) calm yourself; (3) do not punish to embarrass children; (4) Do not punish in front of people; (5) be consistent; (6) be proper; (7) punish at that time, do not delay. Parents are the accompaniment, the supervisor, the counselor and the role model for their children. Additionally, parents should be aware of the environment that may affect their children’s behavior.

Abstract

The powerful information resources of the Internet hold tremendous promise for students and teachers. Teachers can find lots of useful resources on the Internet, which they can use in their instructions.  E-learning than can be found on the internet is a hi-tech way, which is widely used in teaching learning process. Yogyakarta State University provides students with e-learning, which is known as Be-smart, in order to meet the upper standard of transferring knowledge and facilitating students to open the global world. It can be the train for UNY to get what people of say World Class University. Thus, this article will describe the use of Be-smart in teaching listening and reading in English Education Department of Faculty Languages and Arts.

Abstract

In addition to provision of art, science and technology, schools shouldalso develop aspects of moral and religious values to establish theattitude and behavior of the nation's generation of noble character.Technically, the strategy of the student’s attitude and the moralbehavior development in learning activities at school can at least bepursued through an integration of four alternatives strategies. The firststrategy is to integrate the curriculum content of the moral lesson thathas been formulated into all relevant subjects, especially the subjectsof religion, citizenship, and language (both Indonesian and regionallanguages). The second strategy is to integrate moral learning intoeveryday activities at school. The third strategy is to integrate morallearning into the programmed or planned activities. And the fourthstrategy is to build communication and cooperation between schoolsand parents (of the students).

Abstract

Communication ability of deaf children has not reached maximum result yet generally as their parent’shope although getting the instructional of bina wicara in school. The maximum unreachable ability ofthese deaf-children’s communication is influenced by some factors namely The main factor,surely,is onthe children condition themshelves namely the limitation of vocabulary, low control ability of soundperception and rythm, immature of articulation ability, and low mastering in total communication.Second, the teacher’s low ability and skill in bina wicara instructional. Third, lack of supporting facilitiesof bina wicara instructional. Fourth, lack of cooperation among teachers in supporting communicationability of deaf children. From some factors that obstacle the communication ability of deaf-children,so, itmust be togather-awareness and to be solved soon. Because of that, the optimalization of bina wacarainstructional implementation becomes a key to support the result and communication ability of deafchildren.
