Abstract

Perkembangan Teknologi dalam bidang infonnasi membawapengaruh terhadap berbagai bidang tennasuk dalam bidangpendidikan khususnya dalam pengembangan mediapembelajaran. Sistem pembelajaran dalam pieinbelaj~.jarakjauh yang mengandalkan penggunaan media dalampenyampaian materinya mau tidak mau harus ditinjau kembalikeefetifannya. Penerapan konsep Virtual Learning dalam sistemPembelajaran Jarak Jauh akan menjadi trend teknologipembelajaran masa depan. Pemanfaatan teknologi infonnas: ·dB.lam hal ini adalah internet telah dimulai di sejumlah institusipendidikan. Secara konseptual Virtual lesming memiliki poterisiyang tidak sederhana daJam meningkatkan kualitaS. pendidik8ri; ·.diantaranya potensi dalam membCrikan peluang berkomunika$i\antara peserta belajar dan penyelenggara/pengajar sertakomunikasi antar peserta belajar, bahan belajar yang tidakterikat oleh ruang dan waktu. Selain itu kelas Virtual dapatmemberikan sajian bahan belajar yang menarik sehingga pesertabelajar termotivasi untuk belajar. namun dilain pihak, VirtualLeaming dalam proses pembelajaran jarak jauh terdapatbeberapa kelemahan diantaranya mahalnya biaya yang harusdikeluarkan. Abstract

The teaching and learning activities in higher education nowadays have beendominated and focused on the application of exposition or expository learningstrategy. In the exposition learning strategy, lesson materials are presented tothe participants who have the ability to control their own materials. As aconsequence, students are become quite passive since there is no initiative toparticipate in the lecturing and also because of the less conducive conditionwhere students have to develop knowledge by themselves. Students areencouraged to ask questions, raise opinions, or discuss relevant issues. Inorder to improve the students' learning activities in the classroom to becomemore dynamic, we can apply one alternative study using "active learning"approach. The implementation of this learning model can be developed into 8procedures or phases that are: (1) orientation (2) group forming (3) teamworkassignment (4) exploration (5) presentation (6) checking students'understanding and the student 's mastery of learning materials (7) reflectionand feedback, and (8) formative evaluation.

Abstract

Formal education until recently tend to teach students to fact memorizing andconvergent thinking. It makes student have difficulties in solving problems thatdemand deep thinking and creative problem solving. Learning process in classtend to expect outcomes as knowledge, memory, and logic thinking. Students needto be motivated to think divergently. This is a serious issue since this kind oflearning might results in reduction or even death of student's creativity.Developing creativity in science education, especially those that related tostudent's divergent thinking ability, require learning approaches that willencourage students to think well and able to give many alternative solutions to asingle problem. Inquiry approach is the most effective one since this approach isstudent centered and persuades students to solve problem using scientific skillsand researches. Abstract

Qualified human resources who have the right competence,skills, abilities, attitudes, behavior, motivation and commitment isneeded in the global market competition. But the reality shoes that thequality of Indonesian human resources are relatively underdevelopedand very low. To overcome this obstacles required the participation ofboth government and society, in synergy, and particularly the schoolcommittee to provide education.This paper discussed the school committees' participation ineducation. There are four kinds of participation: l) the involvement indecision-making process, 2) the implementation of the program, 3)thegaining advantages of the program, and 4) the evaluation of theprogram. If all of these are performed together or as a whole, it willbring the potential of integrated development.First, public participation in decisions making process,especially choosing the purpose alternatives by discussing ideasrelating to mutual interest. Second, participation in theimplementation of the program is continuation of the plan which hasbeen agreed upon the planning, implementation, and objectives. It cantake the forms of physical labor donations, financial donations,donations of material, moral contribution (counseling, advice), andthe decision contribution. Third, participation in taking the benefit.This is not independent from the quality and the quantity of theachieved program implementation. Fourth, participation in theevaluation process related to the implementation of the program as awhole.

Abstract

di kelas. Strategi mengajar merupakan cara agar siswa dapatmenguasai materi pelajaran secara maksimal. Namun kenyataan di lapangan tidaksemulus yang telah direncanakan Kenyataannya banyak siswa yang tidak dapatmenguasai materi pelajaran, terutama mata pelajaran Matematika masih banyak anakyang nilai ulangan di bawah KKM (KKM 70) .Tujuan dilakukannyan penelitian tindakan kelas ini metode Latihan Mandiri iniadalah untuk meningkatkan penguasaan materi Lingkaran I sub pokok bahasanKeliling Lingkaran.Prosedur penelitian tindakan kelas yang digunakan mengacu pada metodologi actionresearch, yaitu(1) perencanaan,(2) implementasi tindakan,(3) pengamatan danevaluasi,(4) refleksi, yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Latihan mandiri merupakansuatu latihan soal dengan cara siswa membuat soal beserta penyelesaiannya setelahmendapat materi dan disertai dengan contoh dan cara menyelesaikannya.Hasil latihan mandiri siklus 1 menunjukkan bahwa ketrampilan siswa dalammembuat soal beserta penyelesaiannya sebesar 84,62 %, dan hasil latihan pada siklus2 ketrampilan siswa mencapai 92,86 %. Sedangkan rata-rata hasil tes siklus 1sebesar 67,50 dan rata-rata hasil tes siklus 2 sebesar 78,63. Hal ini menunjukkanadanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa.Dari penelitian tindakan kelas ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa latihan mandiri dapatmeningkatkan penguasaan materi Lingkaran I sub pokok bahasan Keliling Lingkaranbagi siswa kelas VIIIE SMP Negeri 5 Sragen Semester Genap Tahun Pelajaran2009/2010 . Saran dalam penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut : Perbanyak latihanagar siswa lebih mudah dalam menguasai materi, perhatikan intensitas latihan mandiriagar siswa tidak mengalami kejenuhan, guru harus trampil dalam mengatasi kesulitanbelajar siswa.

Abstract

Krisis kemanuoiaan dan kebangsaan yang dihadapi olehmasyarakat Indonesia hingga kini belum dapat diatasi secaratuntas. Kondisi demikian Jiduga bermula dari apa yang dihasilkanoleh dunia pendidikan. Proses monopolisasi kepentingan,liberalisasi dan komersialisasi pendidikan serta kebutuhan seringkali terjadi. Anak seakan tidak boleh mengetahui mengenai realitasdiri dan dunianya yang tertindas. Sebab kesadaran demikian akanmembahayakan kescimbangan struktur masyarakat hirarkhispiramidal yang selama ini diinginkan oleh sekelompok elite sosialpolitis. Pendidikan yang berkeadilan sosial merupakan upaya yangdiharapkan mlll'1pu mengatasi masalah-masalah di atas. Hal ituhanya dapat dicapai lewat proses pendidikan bebas dan metodepembelajaran aksi dialogal. Keaktifan siswa menjadi unsur amatpenting dalam menentukan kesuksesan belajar. Pendidikandiharapkan mampu mewujudkan proses demokratisasi belajar,suatu proses pendemokrasian yang mencerminkan bahwa belajaradalah atas prakarsa anak. Demokrasi belajar berisi pengakuan hakanak untuk mrlakukan tindakan belajar sesuai dengankarakteristiknya. Salah satu prasyarat terwujudnya masyarakatbelajar yang demokratis dan/atau berkeaC:ilan adalah adanyapengemnsan pembelajaran yar1g beragam dengan caramenghapuskan penyeragaman kurikulum, strategi pembelajaran,bahan ajar dan evaluasi belajar. Peran sekolah dalam mewujudkanpendidikan yang berkeadilan sosial mampu mengembangkanseluruh potensi masing-masing anak secara maksimal tanpa harusmengganggu perkembang~n potensi individu-individu lainnya.

Abstract

Teacher quality is one of important factors for good education.Therefore, it is a demand to develop and implement effective qualityteacher improvement programs. Effective quality teacher improvementprograms should be based on need assessments. This study aims todescribe teacher quality improvement programs based on teachers’needs by studying: 1) the profile of Junior High School teachers inBanyumas which includes several teachers’ aspects: their career rank,their academic qualification, and their mastery of teachercompetencies; 2) teachers’ opinions of teacher quality improvementprograms, and 3) teacher quality improvement programs based onteacher needs.This is a survey research of 607 Junior High School teachers whowere selected randomly. The research was conducted in Banyumas.The study employed opened and closed questionarries to collect data.The data analysis applied quantitative descriptive technique.The profile of Junior High School teachers in Banyumas show thatnone of teachers has been in IV/b career rank. However, most ofteachers have met the academic qualification requirement. Only a fewteachers hold Senior High School and D3 certificate and haveirrelevant education background with the subjects that they teach. Theteacher mastery of teacher competencies which are pedagogieccompetency, professional competency, and scientific writingcompetency is fair. There are two programs needed to improve thequality of Junior High School teachers in Banyumas: 1) program toimprove teacher’s academic qualification, and 2) program to improveteacher’s competency. Teacher academic qualification improvementprogram based on teachers’ needs should consider following aspect; itshould consist of undergraduate programs, D3 and S1, and graduateprogram: S2. 2) The study program should be in education field andrelevant with the subjects that teachers teach. 3) The program shouldtake place near or within location in which teachers live. 4) Theprogram need to provide supports for teachers such as funding forstudying – tuition fee and operational costs-, and study permit ordispensation to be free of or have only few teaching hours. Severalaspects also should be considered in the implementation of teachercompetency improvement program. According to teachers, training is the most suitable form to improve their competency besides workshop,seminar, and shortcourse (1-3 months). The programs should addressa) teacher competency in subject matters which is needed by most ofteachers, b) teacher competency in teaching, and also c) teachercompetency in making a scientific writing. Implementing program in alocation where teachers live in will be very helpful for teachers.Besides that, teachers need some supports such as money and alsopermit to join the program.

Abstract

of state and nation, if we educate them optimally. Education is an effort to develop potentials of the children since earlier ages. One of the education which must be given is moral values, according to anticipate the spreading of the negative behavior done by children, either it is inconsequential or seriously consequential. Besides, it is suitable to the scope of Early Childhood Education, which includes moral and religious values.The way to implant moral values to Early Childhood can be carried out by means of narrating strategy. It is appropriate to the Kohlberg’s theory of moral development. On the other hand, there are more benefits which are possible to get. In fact, many parents have not a lot of time to narrate their children some stories. Most of them, especially mothers, are professional or career women, etc. Nowadays popularity of verbal narration has been surpassed by luster of electronic media and more attractive toys. It was a challenge to parent and teachers to make their verbal narration more attractive. Thus, the message on moral values can be perceived well by the children.In order to make an attractive narration, parents or teachers have to care many aspects related to technique of narrating, i.e. the types of story, the used method, visual-aid instrument, vocalization, gesture, etc. Those can support success of using of narrating strategy to implant moral values for children.

Abstract

Schools are the educational institution that exists hundred centuries ago. It isbegun with only an activity to fill a leisure time for children of Roman’s aristocrats. In the next development, schools become an institution designed to teach students under teachers’ supervision. Most countries have formal education system where school is as an obligation for everyone on their age. Schools as a system include some components and its components consist of some factors. Each factors are related and forming a system.Schooling system in some countries has their own unique and characteristics, include in Indonesia’s school institution. The expectation of family, society, and nation toward school institutions are truly tremendous, which is forming each individual to be an intelligent and smart person.Schools are the communities’ only expectation to form such things;however, some policies and schools’ problems are very complex and complicated. Therefore, it needs deep thinking and diagnoses comprehensively in order to make school institutions get closer to family, society, and nation’s expectation.

Abstract

In general this study aims to reveal: (1) Developing of interactive multimedia product on CD program form for the study of cinematography, and (2) The effectiveness of interactive multimedia. The tryout subjects in this study were 35 people consisting of 2 content expert, 2 instructional media specially, 3 students in one-to-one evaluation, 8 students in small group experiment, and 20 students in field experiment. The data were collected of formative evaluation done using assessment enquette for the aspect of instruction, content, design, and pemrogramming. The data collected sumative evaluation done using pretest and posttest and also enlist interview and cheque.The result findings show that: (1) Product of interactive multimedia for The Study of Cinematography have been developed in the form of the CD program as according to development procedure. This matter proven that; product quality of interaktive multimedia of instruction aspect is in good criterion with the average score 3,92; content aspect is in good criterion with the average score 3,65; design aspect is in good criterion with the average score 3,74; and programming aspect is in good criterion with the average score 3,73. (2) The product of interactive multimedia used effective for The Study of Cinematography, proven by increase of score average of pretest and posttest from students equal to 9,55 or 14,54% in once meeting. Besides, data result of interview and observation of that product can motivate students at the process study of.
