Abstract

This study aims to analyze the utilization of folklore as a storynomics in vocational tourism education, specifically at SMKN 1 Panggul, Trenggalek Regency. Folklore, as part of local wisdom, has the potential to enrich tourism learning with deep cultural values. Employing a descriptive qualitative- analytical approach and document study, this research, conducted in 2025, explores the integration of folklore from Babad Tanah Panggul (e.g., the tales of Mbah Panji Nawangkung, Kyai Onggo, and Nyi Rumbung) into the Vocational Tourism Services curriculum. The findings indicate that these folklores contain values such as leadership, mutual cooperation, resilience, and ethics, making them highly relevant for developing local culture-based tourism guiding competencies. This integration can enhance students' cultural literacy and character, while also contributing to the development of local wisdom- based tourism. The study also identifies implementation challenges,including limited documentation and teachers' preparedness. Therefore, teacher training and community collaboration are essential.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SDN Jurang Manggu Timur 02 using a descriptive quantitative research method. Data were collected through structured interviews with PAI teachers and observations of the learning activities. The results indicate that the Merdeka Curriculum has been effectively implemented through strategic steps such as initial assessments of students' characteristics, the development of teaching modules based on student needs, and the application of innovative teaching strategies like discovery learning, problem-based learning (PBL), and project-based learning (PjBL). These methods have proven effective in engaging students and enhancing their critical thinking skills. Furthermore, the study found that students' character development aligned with the Pancasila Student Profile was reinforced through religious habituation activities, such as communal prayers and Yasin recitation. This research contributes to the development of educational theory by emphasizing the importance of collaboration between schools, teachers, and parents in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum. Such collaboration plays a vital role in creating a supportive learning environment that addresses students' spiritual and moral needs, resulting in a more holistic educational experience.

Abstract

Traditional games are increasingly being marginalized amidst the dominance of digital games, even though these games contain cultural and educational values that are important for children's character development.. The purpose of this research is to produce an analytical description of the values contained in the traditional game Ucang-Ucang Angge. The research method uses literature study and field study. Data collection techniques were carried out through document studies, interviews, and observations. The results of this study show that the Ucang-Ucang Angge game has various values consisting of main values and supporting values. The main value in the Ucang-Ucang Angge game is the value of affection, while its supporting values include the value of togetherness, mutual trust, and mutual care. In the context of primary education, the results of this study can help teachers understand that Ucang-Ucang Angge is not just a game, but also a foundation for character education to develop students' affection and emotions.

Abstract

Using technology in the learning process is crucial for creating a more interactive, flexible, and relevant learning experience that meets the current needs. The use of digital learning media, e-learning platforms, and technology-based applications allows for the delivery of more varied Islamic Religious Education materials and supports collaborative learning between lecturers and students. This study shows that technology integration not only increases access to educational resources but also enriches the learning experience through various innovative learning methods, such as gamification and the use of artificial intelligence (AI). This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach at the Islamic University of Jakarta. The purpose of this study is to increase the effectiveness of technology integration in Islamic religious education education in universities so that it can support more innovative, inclusive, and relevant learning to the times. Research shows that technology integration in Islamic Religious Education learning in universities has great potential to increase the effectiveness of the learning process. However, there needs to be an increase in infrastructure and digital literacy to maximize the benefits that can be generated.

Abstract

Improving the quality of human resources (HR) is one of the main priorities in efforts to achieve the vision of developing Indonesia so that it is competitive in the global arena. In the era of globalization and rapid technological development, the need for superior, competent, and adaptive HR is increasingly urgent. To meet these needs, education plays a very strategic role as the main foundation in forming quality HR. One of the major challenges in managing education in Indonesia is the limited access and funding support for the community to continue their education to a higher level, especially for those who have academic potential but come from disadvantaged economic backgrounds. Realizing this, the government, through the Education Fund Management Institute (LPDP), has taken strategic steps to provide financial support in the form of scholarships and research funding aimed at improving the quality of Indonesian HR. This study uses a qualitative approach, which is an approach taken to find out or describe the reality of the events being studied so that it is easier to obtain objective data. Research objectives The synergy between APBN funds and LPDP funds also needs to be reviewed to ensure maximum benefits for national education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to look into how the Independent Curriculum is being used and what problems it is encountering in order to help reach national education goals in the Fiqh subject at MTs Al-Khairiyah Tanjung Priok. The Independent Curriculum is designed to provide flexibility in the learning process by emphasizing character development, strengthening competencies, and empowering students' potential holistically. Despite facing various obstacles, the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in the Fiqh subject has made a positive contribution in shaping students' religious attitudes and characters in accordance with national education goals. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection methods through observation, interviews, and documentation. The purpose of this study is to optimize learning outcomes. With an integrated approach, the Independent Curriculum can be a strategic foundation in developing character-based and contextual education.

Abstract

Pedagogical competence is one of the crucial aspects that must be possessed by teachers, especially Islamic Religious Education teachers, in delivering teaching materials effectively and meaningfully. Students' religious understanding is not only formed through memorization and theory, but also through a learning approach that is in accordance with the characteristics of students, the use of varied methods, and the teacher's ability to create a religious and conducive learning atmosphere. This study aims to reveal the extent to which the pedagogical competence of Islamic Religious Education teachers contributes to the formation of students' religious understanding. Through a qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that teachers who have good pedagogical competence are able to design contextual learning, facilitate critical religious discussions, and be role models in religious attitudes and behavior. Thus, the pedagogical competence of Islamic Religious Education teachers at MTS Tarbiyatul has a strategic role in instilling deep religious values ​​in students.

Abstract

21st Century Learning requires students not only to master knowledge, but also to have critical thinking skills that are able to face the complexity of life's problems, including in understanding and internalizing Islamic values. In this context, the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning process offers new opportunities that can optimize students' intellectual potential. AI not only functions as a learning aid, but also as a thinking partner that is able to facilitate discussions, provide quick feedback, present a variety of religious perspectives, and present contextual simulations that challenge students to think deeply, analytically, and reflectively about religious teachings. Through this technology-based learning approach, students are encouraged not only to receive material passively, but to actively explore meaning, compare arguments, and build a more comprehensive understanding of Islamic values. The research was conducted through a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies at several universities that have adopted AI technology in their learning process. This research aims to explore how the strategic use of AI in the PAI learning process can improve students' critical thinking skills, as well as identify the most effective teaching models and strategies in integrating this technology.

Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of character education in the Social Sciences subject at SD Negeri 31 Banda Aceh. Character education not only focuses on academic achievement but also on the development of essential moral values, ethics, and social skills. A qualitative study using a case study approach was conducted between January-February 2025, involving six Social Sciences teachers as key informants. The results of the research indicate that the integration of values such as honesty, responsibility, and tolerance through contextual learning and group discussions effectively enhances students’ social awareness. However, limited instructional time and varying levels of student comprehension remain significant challenges. The article also emphasizes the need for active parental involvement in supporting character education, thereby fostering a generation that is not only academically proficient but also possesses moral integrity.

Abstract

Problem-based learning (PBL) model and cognitive conflict strategy have an impact on mathematical problem-solving ability (MCE) and initial mathematical ability (EAC). Students' poor problem-solving ability and the need for a learning model that teaches students to think critically and analytically are the main issues in this study. A quasi-experimental design with a 2×2 factorial design was used. All students of junior high schools in grade VII in Palmerah District were the subjects of this study. Two groups consisted of samples: one group used PBL with cognitive conflict, and the other used direct learning. Data analysis was carried out using t-test and Two Way ANOVA. The results of the t-test showed a significant difference between the average MCE of students who learned using PBL compared to direct learning (t(142) = -2.539, p = 0.012). The results of the ANOVA test showed that KAM had a significant effect on KPM (F(1,92) = 453.358, p = 0.000), and there was an interaction between the learning model and KAM on KPM (F(1,92) = 11.043, p = 0.001). Thus, the PBL model with cognitive conflict strategy has proven to be effective in significantly improving students' mathematical problem solving abilities, especially when adjusted to the students' initial mathematical ability level
