Abstract

This study used the D&D method proposed by Richey and Klein, whereby the media development process included the stages of needs analysis, design, prototype development, implementation, and evaluation. Validation was carried out by three validators, namely subject matter experts, media experts, and learning experts. The validation results showed that the media was very suitable for use, with validation scores of 92.5% (material), 92.86% (media), and 95.56% (learning). A limited trial was conducted with 18 fifth-grade students and showed an increase in their understanding of earthquake mitigation. The students' average score increased from 54.97% on the pre-test to 84.59 on the post-test. The use of the Explosion Box media not only made learning more interesting, but also helped students understand earthquake mitigation material in a contextual and in-depth manner. Earthquake mitigation learning is very important for elementary school students, especially in earthquake-prone areas, so that students can improve their preparedness when an earthquake occurs.

Abstract

The development of a learning planning textbook based on the Independent Curriculum aims to provide practical guidance for educators in designing adaptive and tailored learning processes. The Independent Curriculum prioritizes flexibility, creativity, and student character development, so this textbook is designed to support the understanding and application of these principles. The research and development process was carried out by adapting the Borg and Gall model. Of the ten existing development stages, the researcher only implemented seven stages. The development results show that: 1) the developed module includes a cover, foreword, table of contents, materials, implementation of learning tools, and author biodata. Assessments from material experts reached 82.6% with good qualifications, learning design experts 81.3% with good qualifications, and practitioner experts 81.3% with good qualifications. 2) In terms of textbook appeal, the researcher conducted a post-test on 30 students, with an achievement percentage of 91.6% included in the very good qualification. This indicates that the textbook has met the criteria of being attractive and valid. Data analysis using Paired Samples T Test with SPSS 25, and the results showed a Sig 0.000 < 0.02, so the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. This means there is a significant difference in student learning outcomes after using the textbook.

Abstract

Observations of student behavior at SDN 02/II Senamat between February 10–11, 2025, served as the impetus for this study. According to observations, students typically showed up on time, dressed nicely, obeyed directions from professors, kept the classroom in order, and finished tasks on time. The study's goal was to explain how primary school teachers influence their kids' disciplined conduct. The study used a descriptive qualitative design. Among those who participated were 3 students, the school's principal, plus a homeroom teacher for the 4th grade. Miles and Huberman's interactive approach (data reduction, data display, and generating conclusions) was used to examine the data that were gathered through observation, interviews, and document review. Trustworthiness was strengthened through source triangulation, member checking, and an audit trail. Findings show that student discipline was reflected in six dimensions: obedience to rules, regularity in learning, consistency of behavior, responsibility, empathy, and diligence. Effective teacher strategies included modeling desired behavior, habituating positive routines, providing recognition and appropriate consequences, and offering consistent guidance. Supporting factors included family involvement, school culture, peer influence, community role models, and mindful use of media and technology. Obstacles included inconsistent student behavior, negative environmental influences, and weak media/technology control. The study highlights how important teachers are in helping students learn discipline, and it suggests working with families and the larger society to maintain character development.

Abstract

Student motivation and learning independence remain significant challenges in Indonesian education, as many learners have yet to achieve optimal academic outcomes. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of integrating the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model with audiovisual media in enhancing students’ motivation and learning independence. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles with 38 students in class XI F at SMAN 3 Denpasar in the even semester of 2024/2025. Data were collected through questionnaires measuring learning motivation and self-regulated learning indicators. The findings reveal a significant improvement in student achievement, with the average score increasing from 67.1 (42% mastery) in the pre-cycle to 74.6 (68%) in cycle I, and reaching 82.3 (87%) in cycle II. Similarly, the average score of learning independence rose from 2.8 (low category) to 3.6 (moderate), and finally to 4.2 (high). These results indicate that the integration of PBL with audiovisual media fosters a more interactive and contextual learning environment, effectively enhancing students’ intrinsic motivation, independence, and academic achievement.

Abstract

The learning system in non-formal educational institutions still faces challenges such as low active student participation and the dominance of a tutor-centered approach that makes the learning process monotonous. Therefore, innovative, interactive, and student-centered learning strategies are needed to create an interesting and meaningful learning atmosphere. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) learning strategy in improving the quality of education at the Sunan Kalijogo Kediri Community Learning Center (PKBM) and provide strategic recommendations for innovative student-centered learning. The study was conducted in May 2025 using a qualitative approach, focusing on the experiences, behaviors, motivations, and interactions of participants holistically. The TSTS strategy fosters active two-way communication between tutors and students. So that students can express opinions, share ideas, and collaborate in finding solutions to help reduce boredom and improve understanding. The findings show that TSTS increases student participation and encourages a more interesting, inclusive, and humanistic learning environment, thereby improving the quality of teaching. The study contributes academically by becoming the basis for further research on the TSTS method in other PKBM programs, such as skills or entrepreneurship training.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of deep learning-based Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in improving religious literacy in the digital era. The deep learning approach focuses not only on the depth of the material but also on the meaningfulness of the mindful, joyful, and meaningful learning process. This study employed library research, reviewing various relevant sources. Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques through the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that mindful learning strengthens students' awareness of religious values; joyful learning creates a pleasant learning environment that encourages motivation and active engagement; while meaningful learning makes PAI material relevant to the realities of everyday life, including digital challenges. This approach has been proven to align with the goals of Islamic education, which emphasize the integration of knowledge and morals, and aligns with the independent curriculum policy, which focuses on character building and student-centered learning. In conclusion, deep learning-based PAI reinforcement can be a pedagogical and preventive strategy in dealing with the rapid flow of digital information. This model has the potential to develop a generation of Muslims who are literate, critical, moderate, and virtuous. These findings are expected to provide conceptual and practical contributions for teachers, curriculum developers, and Islamic education researchers in the future.

creativity and innovation so that graduates are better prepared to compete in the job market. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the internship program at Medan State University and develop optimization strategies that focus on enhancing student creativity and innovation. This study was conducted using a mixed-method approach, namely a qualitative approach through interviews with students and industry representatives and observation. The quantitative approach through surveys and tests of student performance in the internship program. The research subjects included students and several partner companies where students underwent internships. The results showed that students involved in the internship program with an innovative project-based approach had higher levels of creativity compared to students who only carried out administrative tasks. Factors contributing to the program's success included the involvement of industry mentors, the integration of a problem-solving-based curriculum, and support facilities that foster innovation. The novelty of this research lies in the development of a creativity- and innovation-based internship program optimization model, which has not yet been widely implemented in Indonesian universities. This contributes to academic policy by improving the effectiveness of internship programs and strengthening university-industry collaborations to produce graduates better prepared to compete in the digital age.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education is the main focus in efforts to create superior and adaptive educational units to the dynamics that occur. One of the strategic approaches currently being promoted by the government is the implementation of Data-Based Planning (PBD). This approach allows educational units to make decisions that are more objective, measurable, and in accordance with real needs in the field. With the effective implementation of Data-Based Planning, educational units are expected to be able to improve the quality of learning, educational services, and the achievement of student learning outcomes in a sustainable manner. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach that is intended to find out in detail the problems faced. This study aims to examine the implementation of Data-Based Planning in improving the quality of education in the Central Jakarta 1 Senior High School environment, as well as to identify the challenges faced and strategies that can be developed. The results of the study show that although most schools have access to educational data, its use in the planning process is still not optimal. Factors such as low data literacy, limited training, and lack of a reflection-based work culture are the main obstacles. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the capacity of human resources and support systems that encourage maximum data utilization in the planning and evaluation of school programs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dengan fokus pada tiga nilai utama, yaitu prinsip religiusitas, kedisiplinan, serta rasa tanggung jawab pada peserta didik kelas 7, 8, dan 9 di SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Kramat, Jakarta Pusat. Pemilihan ketiga nilai ini didasarkan pada relevansinya dengan tujuan utama pendidikan Islam, kebutuhan karakter generasi muda saat ini, serta hasil observasi awal yang menunjukkan lemahnya penerapan nilai-nilai tersebut di lingkungan sekolah. Nilai religius dipilih karena menjadi pondasi moral dan spiritual peserta didik. Nilai disiplin dipandang penting dalam membentuk sikap tertib dan tanggung jawab terhadap aturan. Sedangkan nilai tanggung jawab menjadi indikator kedewasaan dan kepedulian sosial siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga nilai karakter tersebut telah diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran PAI, baik secara langsung melalui materi ajar maupun secara tidak langsung melalui keteladanan guru dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler.

Abstract

Learning trauma in children often arises from negative experiences in the educational process, such as academic pressure, monotonous teaching methods, or a lack of emotional engagement from teachers. This has implications for decreased motivation, self-confidence, and even a rejection of learning activities. In the context of Islamic Religious Education, the concept of mahabbah or love can be a strategic solution to overcome these problems. Mahabbah is understood as the foundation of affection, respect, and care instilled by teachers in learning interactions. Through this approach, learning is not only oriented towards cognitive aspects, but also touches the affective and psychomotor domains, so that children feel accepted, appreciated, and loved. This study aims to explore the role of the mahabbah concept in creating a humanistic, enjoyable, and calming learning atmosphere for children who experience learning trauma. This research method uses a qualitative case study approach. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of mahabbah in Islamic Religious Education subjects can foster a sense of security, build emotional closeness between teachers and students, and restore children's enthusiasm for learning.
