Abstract

The nature of science is essential to be conveyed in the curriculum and student books because it becomes a reference in the learning process to adequately achieve learning objectives. This study aims to describe aspects of the nature of science in the "merdeka" curriculum and its comparison between countries and an analysis of the nature of science in elementary science books. The quantitative descriptive method is carried out by studying literature and analyzing documents on aspects of the nature of science in the "merdeka" curriculum documents and elementary science books. Curricula documents from other countries are analyzed to find out the comparison. Based on the analysis and comparison results, it is shown that the nature of science in the elementary school curriculum and its embodiment in student books is not explained explicitly, both in the curriculum and in student books. The percentage of science essence values ​​in the student curriculum is > 80.00%, namely product, subjective, and creative aspects, and in student books, only product aspects have a percentage value of > 80.00%. It is known that the percentage of the emergence of the nature of science is different in each country.

Abstract

4C skills have become part of the current elementary school curriculum, which is expected to improve the quality of education so that graduates are ready to compete in the global world. Student worksheet, based on the RADEC model, is needed as a learning tool that can help participants practice 4C skills. This study aims to develop and validate the Student Worksheet based on the RADEC model on the theme of aerial skills-oriented 21st century: critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication (4C). This research and development (R&D) use the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). This research was carried out until the development stage or validation stage. The validity of the student worksheet is determined by an assessment of media, materials, and language on a scale of four, validated by twenty-five teachers who have attended the RADEC model workshop for three days. The data obtained were tabulated by calculating the validity of the quantitative and descriptive analysis. The development results show that the student worksheet based on the RADEC model to train 4C skills is declared valid with the calculation results Vh>Vt or Vh> 0.64 and is suitable for use in learning. This research can be used as information on the development and validation of teaching materials, especially student worksheet, based on the RADEC model to train 4C skills in science materials in elementary schools.

Abstract

Guru sekolah dasar harus memahami konten materi dan cara mengajarkannya kepada siswa atau dikenal dengan Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK), dan buku guru sebagai panduan guru haruslah sesuai dengan kaidah-kaidah PCK tersbut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai ruang lingkup Pedagogical Content Knowledge pada buku guru IPAS kelas IV kurikulum merdeka. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah BAB dengan muatan IPA. Intrumen evaluasi buku berisi aspek-aspek konten Pedagogical Content Knowledge dalam buku guru. Pengisisan instrument evaluasi buku guru dilakukan dengan memberikan nilai 0 sampai 3 pada setiap aspek penilaian Data yang telah diperoleh dianalisis dengan menghitung persentase nilai Pedagogical Content Knowledge. Berdasarkan hasil analisis Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) pada muatan IPA buku guru IPAS berada pada persentase 84% dengan katagori sangat tercapai. Namun demikian buku ini sebaiknya tidak bisa dijadikan satu-satunya pegangan, guru perlu memiliki buku pendamping lain sebagai penunjang dan pelengkap, terutama pada aspek pengetahuan inti dan kerangka metakognisi

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat sejauhmana kemampuan guru sekolah dasar dalam membuat pertanyaan pra pembelajaran menggunakan model RADEC. Metode yang digunakan adalah Survey. Partisipan penelitian adalah guru sekolah dasar yang ada di wilayah Kabupaten Purwakarta dan sekitarnya dengan jumlah 32 orang. Data penelitian diperoleh secara online menggunakan angket melalui media google form. Analisis kemampuan guru sekolah dasar dalam membuat pertanyaan pra pembelajaran menggunakan model RADEC  terbagi menjadi 4 indikator yaitu dengan (1) pengetahuan guru tentang pertanyaan prapembelajaran dalam model RADEC, (2) pengetahuan guru tentang pengembangan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi melalui pertanyaan prapembelajaran, (3) respon guru dalam membuat pertanyaan prapembelajaran, (4) kendala pembuatan pertanyaan prapembelajaran. Berdasarkan rata-rata porsentasi tiap indikator menunjukan porsentasi yang tinggi Adapun Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah guru bukan hanya bertugas sebagai penyampaikan materi saja melainkan harus mampu mengembangkan segala potensi yang ada pada diri siswa. Sebagai bagian dari model RADEC, Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan adalah dengan membuat pertanyaan prapembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to develop e-SW or e-LKPD products, test the feasibility of e-SW 7E products based on expert assessments, test the practicality of e-SW 7E products based on the assessment of chemistry teachers and peer reviewers, find out the responses of students in terms of readability and test the effectiveness of e-SW 7E products. The method in this research is R&D with a 4-D development model. The sampling technique used in this study used cluster random sampling techniques. Interviews, questionnaires, and question techniques carry out data collection techniques. The data analysis technique used is the assessment of theoretical validity by qualitative experts converted quantitatively using the Likert scale with a score range of 1-5, empirical validity analyzed using the Quest program, and manova test analysis using SPSS. The results of the study found that e-SW 7E based on learning cycle 7E feasible, practical student responses in terms of readability in the very good category resulted in an average of all aspects of 4.45 and a percentage of 82.5%. There was an effects on the understanding of concepts and skills of the science process by 34.5%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the initial understanding and identify elementary school students' misconceptions about the circulatory system. This research method is descriptive, with the research subject being 29 5th-grade students at an elementary school in Bandung Regency. The three-tier multiple-choice diagnostic test instrument used 7 items. Data on the results of the diagnostic test instrument are in the form of percentage calculation data and analysis of student answers. Students' initial knowledge is categorized into 3, namely Misconceptions (MK), Not Knowing Concepts (TTK), and Knowing Concepts (TK). The result of this study is the highest misconception (MK) was the concept of organs in the circulatory system, with a finding of 68.97%. The students who do not know the concept (TTK) are highest in the concept of organs in the circulatory system, with a finding of 72.41%. Students who know the concept (TK) are highest on the concept of blood group, with a finding of 82.76%. This research can be a reference for teachers to introduce the concept of the circulatory system, which can improve understanding and minimize students' misconceptions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi yang dibuktikan dengan rata-rata hasil Penilain Akhir Semester (PAS) tahun ajaran 2021/2022 kelas XI IIS SMA Negeri se-Kota Bandung yang masih belum memenuhi Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum (KKM). Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui peran adversity quotient dalam memediasi pengaruh status social ekonomi orang tua terhadap hasil belajar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survey eksplanatori dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket. Populasi penelitian ini adalah Sembilan sekolah yang tersebar di wilayah kota Bandung sebanyak 1063 siswa dengan jumlah sample sebanyak 290 siswa yang diperoleh dengan teknik random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda dengan variabel mediasi dan menggunakan bantuan program SPSS 24 for Windows. Hasil yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini adalah: (i) status sosial ekonomi orang tua berada pada kategori sedang, adversity quotient berada pada kategori tinggi. (ii) status sosial ekonomi berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar. (iii) status sosial ekonomi orang tua berpengaruh terhadap adversity quotient. (iv) adversity quotient berperan memediasi sebagaian (partial mediation) pengaruh status sosial ekonomi orang tua terhadap hasil belajar.

Abstract

This research aims to develop and test the validity of student worksheet based on the RADEC Learning Model (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain and Create) in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subjects at elementary school level. The RADEC model is used as a basis for designing worksheets that support an active, participatory learning process and stimulate an in-depth understanding of science concepts. This research uses a development research approach. The development stage includes needs analysis, worksheet design, and validation by experts. It is hoped that the results of this research will contribute to improving worksheets as a learning aid that can improve students' understanding of science material in elementary schools. Apart from that, this research can also provide guidance to educators and students in implementing the RADEC Learning Model to improve the quality of learning in the classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the occurrence of reading literacy indicators in a set of Student Worksheets (LKPD) for elementary school students (grades 2, 3, 4, and 5) based on the Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create (RADEC) model at UPI Campus Purwakarta Laboratory Elementary School. A case study methodology was employed in this research. The analysis results demonstrate the dominance of Informational Texts in almost all cases, emphasizing the importance of mastering factual information in reading literacy. Personal and cultural contextual texts also play a central role in developing reading skills. On the other hand, in the cognitive process, the elements of evaluating and reflecting on information play a key role in advancing reading literacy. The research findings provide in-depth insights into the dynamics of learning in various classes and subjects. The implications of this analysis indicate the need to develop more focused and effective learning strategies, taking into account the unique characteristics of each class and subject. By expanding the scope of reading literacy understanding through diverse texts, including fiction, and integrating personal, social, and scientific dimensions, reading education at the elementary level can continue to evolve. This research serves as a starting point in the journey towards more empowered and integrated reading literacy education at UPI Campus Purwakarta Laboratory Elementary School.
