Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the quality of public services at PT. Air Minum Sanggam Balangan (Perseroda) in Paringin District, Balangan Regency. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The analysis is based on Fitzsimmons' five service quality dimensions: tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The results indicate that overall service quality falls under the “fair” category. The dimensions of reliability, assurance, and empathy show positive performance, particularly in terms of procedural accuracy, staff attitude, and responsiveness to customer needs. However, weaknesses were identified in the responsiveness and tangible dimensions, especially regarding slow responses to customer complaints and limited technical facilities, such as the absence of backup generators. This study recommends improvements in technical infrastructure and response speed to enhance the overall quality of public services.

Abstract

This study reveals several fundamental issues, including the low level of public awareness, limited budget, and the suboptimal use of available facilities and infrastructure. The research aims to analyze the influence of posyandu cadre service quality on the effectiveness of program implementation. A quantitative approach with an associative research type was employed. All questionnaire items were deemed valid, as their correlation values exceeded the critical r-value (more than 0.2732). The research instrument also proved to be reliable, as indicated by a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.97. The data were normally distributed based on the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, with a significance value greater than 0.05. Furthermore, the linearity test showed a significant linear relationship between the independent and dependent variables. The heteroscedasticity test using a scatter plot indicated a data distribution pattern suggestive of heteroscedasticity symptoms. In the hypothesis test, the calculated t-value was 26.718, which was higher than the critical t-value of 2.402 (with 48 degrees of freedom), thus the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. This finding was supported by the linearity test, which yielded a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a strong linear relationship between the variables studied. Service quality was proven to contribute 94% to program effectiveness, as reflected in the following simple linear regression equation:Y = 5.486 + 1.168X.

Abstract

This study aims to explore consumer perceptions of green marketing strategies and to what extent these strategies influence purchase intention toward sustainable products in Amuntai, Hulu Sungai Utara Regency. The research is grounded in the growing awareness of environmental issues such as pollution, climate change, and plastic waste, which have prompted businesses to adopt environmentally friendly marketing approaches. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, utilizing in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation as data collection techniques. The findings reveal that several local SMEs have started implementing elements of green marketing, such as using eco-friendly materials and promoting environmental education through their marketing channels. Consumers in this region—especially young adults and environmentally conscious households—are showing a growing interest in sustainable products, particularly those with natural ingredients, eco-friendly packaging, and clear environmental messaging. However, significant challenges remain, including limited knowledge among business owners, higher production costs, and a lack of local government support. The study concludes that green marketing holds substantial potential to increase consumer purchase intention, yet it requires a more structured, collaborative, and educational approach. These findings offer strategic insights for local SMEs, government stakeholders, and community groups seeking to advance sustainable business practices in the region.

Abstract

The problems identified in this study are low attendance in development activities, lack of financial participation, and dependence on village funds. This study aims to examine community participation in village development and the factors that influence it. A qualitative approach was used. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, document analysis, and participant observation. Data sources were selected purposively, involving six participants. Data analysis was conducted using domain and taxonomy techniques. The results show that community participation is fairly good. Good indicators include access to information, involvement in committees, participation in monitoring, feedback, use of facilities, accessibility of results, and improvements in economic, educational, and health activities. Moderately good indicators include attendance at meetings, public consultations, involvement in evaluation, and maintenance activities. Poor indicators include physical attendance and financial participation. The driving factors are group interests and needs, the role of community leaders, the active role of the village government, participation incentives, and understanding the benefits of development. The inhibiting factors are individualism, dependency on incentives, and the perception that responsibilities are handled by others. It is recommended to provide education, apply intensive engagement strategies, strengthen togetherness and transparency, and encourage people to make time for social activities

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial management strategies implemented by micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the culinary sector in response to economic instability in Amuntai Selatan. The research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method, involving five culinary MSME actors selected purposively. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and inductive conclusion drawing techniques. The results indicate that the financial management strategies of culinary MSMEs are generally still simple and intuitive. Financial planning is rarely carried out formally, financial records are mostly done manually with varying quality, and financial control mainly relies on daily cash and stock monitoring without evaluation based on financial reports. The main challenges faced by MSME actors include low financial literacy, the absence of separation between business and personal finances, limited access to formal financing, and low utilization of digital technology. Nevertheless, MSME actors demonstrate adaptability through operational efficiency, simple product innovation, and the use of social media as a promotional tool. These findings highlight the importance of improving financial literacy, adopting digital financial recording technology, and strengthening support from relevant stakeholders to enhance the resilience of culinary MSMEs in facing economic dynamics

Abstract

Regional disparity with respect to infrastructure gaps is considered a benchmark for measuring inequality. In this study, the indicators for infrastructure availability are road infrastructure, education infrastructure, and health infrastructure. This policy paper aims to provide an overview of the phenomenon of inequality and its causes in Pangkajene and Islands Regency (Pangkep Regency) by examining the relationship between the infrastructure aspect and the reality of disparity in the region. It also aims to recommend policies related to infrastructure to reduce inequality in the regency. The method used to describe the inequality in Pangkep Regency is descriptive-quantitative, utilizing secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) from 2021 to 2024 and sectoral data from Local Government Agencies. The study's findings reveal that the disparity in economic growth, as shown by the development of the Gini ratio index from 2021-2024, tends to be volatile and remains in the moderate category. The transportation infrastructure, specifically road length, has an effective contribution to reducing income inequality. The total road length in Pangkep Regency from 2021-2024 was 873.39 km. The aspect of education infrastructure also requires attention to prevent inequality in accessing educational services. Disparity in the health sector is also considered a contributor to inequality in Pangkep Regency, due to the uneven distribution of health infrastructure, particularly in areas with difficult accessibility, such as the islands. These findings are a strong message to the government to proportionally accelerate equitable development programs, especially in areas considered to be left behind, so that the infrastructure development process is not biased toward already developed areas

Abstract

The effectiveness of the SIMKAH (Marriage Management Information System) application in managing marriage registration administration at the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) in Batumandi Subdistrict, Balangan Regency, faces several challenges. These include limited understanding among prospective brides and grooms regarding the existence of this online based registration system, a lack of human resource capacity due to the absence of dedicated personnel to operate the SIMKAH application resulting in the penghulu (marriage officiant) also serving as the operator and technical issues such as server and network disruptions that delay the uploading of required documents. The findings indicate that the use of the SIMKAH application in the marriage registration process at the KUA of Batumandi Subdistrict is less than effective. This is reflected in several indicators. While access, target achievement, and procedures were found to be effective, other indicators such as timeliness, socialization, training, and infrastructure were deemed less effective. Supporting factors include SIMKAH’s integration with the Population Administration Information System (SIAK) managed by the Civil Registry Office (Disdukcapil), and the availability of clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Inhibiting factors include limited public understanding of the application, insufficient user guidance, and recurring server downtimes. To improve the effectiveness of the SIMKAH application in marriage registration administration, it is recommended that: the Head of KUA address technical infrastructure issues; operators continue to enhance their technical skills; and the public be encouraged to submit required documents within the specified timeframe.
