Abstract

This study aims to analyze the preferences of students of the State Polytechnic of Creative Media towards e-commerce platforms using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The background of the study is based on the rapid development of e-commerce in Indonesia, followed by increasing student participation as active users. This study uses a quantitative approach with a Likert-scale questionnaire instrument that measures five main criteria, namely price, ease of use, service quality, delivery speed, and promotion. The data obtained are then processed using the SAW method to determine the ranking of e-commerce platforms based on preference scores. The results show that promotion and price factors are the most dominant criteria in influencing student preferences, followed by ease of use, service quality, and delivery speed. Based on the results of the SAW method calculation, the Shopee platform is ranked first as the platform that best suits student preferences, followed by Tokopedia and Lazada. These findings indicate that students tend to choose platforms that offer economic benefits as well as a good user experience. This study contributes to the development of multi-criteria decision-making methods in the context of digital consumer behavior. In addition, the results of this study can also be a reference for e-commerce industry players in designing more effective marketing strategies that are oriented towards user needs, especially students. Thus, this research has not only academic relevance but also practical implications for developing a competitive and sustainable e-commerce ecosystem.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the meaning of perseverance motivation messages contained in the lyrics of the song "Grow Up" by Stray Kids. This research employs a qualitative approach using a constructivist paradigm. The research method applied is Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotic theory, which focuses on the relationship between the signifier and the signified in constructing meaning. The findings indicate that the song "Grow Up" conveys strong messages of perseverance motivation. These meanings are reflected in lyrics that emphasize that failure, mistakes, and feeling of being left behind are natural parts of the growing process. The song highlights the importance of self-acceptance, patience in personal growth, and the belief that everyone has their own pace and path in life. In addition, the consistent emotional support expressed in the lyrics suggest that individuals are not alone in facing life's challenges. Overall, "Grow Up" represents a form of motivational communication that is comforting and empowering, especially for young listeners who are experiencing mental pressure or uncertainty in life. This study is expected to contribute to a deeper understanding of song lyrics as a form of mass communication in delivering motivational messages and supporting mental well-being.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of marketing mix strategies at the Katura Batik Studio in Cirebon City as an effort to increase competitiveness while preserving batik cultural heritage. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Research informants include studio owners, artisans, and batik consumers. The analysis was conducted by referring to the 7P marketing mix concept, which includes product, price, place, promotion, people, process, and physical evidence. The results show that the marketing strategy implemented by the Katura Batik Studio is not only oriented towards economic aspects, but also on cultural values. The resulting products are of high quality with typical Cirebon motifs such as Mega Mendung, which have been maintained for generations. The pricing strategy is adjusted to the level of production complexity, while promotion is carried out through social media, word of mouth, and cultural events. In addition, the role of human resources, traditional production processes, and physical evidence such as showrooms also strengthen the consumer experience. The findings of this study indicate that optimal integration of marketing mix elements can increase consumer loyalty while strengthening the position of batik as a local cultural identity. This research contributes to the development of culture-based marketing strategies in the creative MSME sector.

Abstract

This article examines the transformation of Javanese tradition and mythology into a contemporary visual language through Sukamto’s relief print Batara Kala Lahir (1991). The study applies an art-based research approach using secondary data, including visual documentation, exhibition catalogues, and academic writings on Sukamto’s linocut practice. The analysis combines Susanne K. Langer’s symbolic theory, Feldman’s model of art criticism, and Panofsky’s iconological reading to identify formal elements, interpret symbolic meaning, and compare the work with classical wayang conventions. The findings show that the transformation occurs through three main strategies: deformation of wayang figures, substitution of traditional attributes with modern symbols, and reorganization of mythological narration into social critique. The sharp black-and-white linocut technique strengthens the tension between tradition and modernity, while symbols such as the firearm, skull, heart icon, and hammer-and-sickle tattoo reposition Batara Kala as an allegory of time, destruction, ideology, and moral crisis. The article argues that Sukamto’s work does not merely reproduce Javanese mythology but reactivates it as a critical visual discourse within Indonesian contemporary printmaking. The study contributes to the discussion of tradition-based graphic art by emphasizing iconographic transformation as a strategy for negotiating cultural identity and social reflection.
