Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the Difference in Professional Attitudes Viewed from the Marital Status of PAID Teachers in Singkil District, Aceh Singkil Regency. Thesis, Medan: Faculty of Education, State University of Medan 2025. This study uses a comparative research type. The sample in this study was 30 PAUD teachers, sampling using purposive sampling technique. The instruments used were questionnaires and observations. The statistical analysis used hypothesis testing using paired sample t-tests. The results of the study showed no significant difference between Professional Attitudes viewed from the Marital Status of PAID Teachers. This difference does not appear to be seen in the average value of the questionnaire and observation. The average obtained from the results of the questionnaire with the married group obtained a value of 8, while the results of the questionnaire with the unmarried group obtained a value of 7. The results of the average value obtained from the results of Observations 1 and 2 with the married group obtained 8, and the results of observations with the unmarried group obtained 7. The results of the data analysis obtained showed a significant value of 0.821> 0.05. Significance Value> 0.05 then Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected, meaning that there is no significant difference in Professional Attitudes seen from the Marital Status of PAID Teachers in Singkil District, Aceh Singkil Regency.

Abstract

In this era of rapid development, moral and ethical values are often tested because there are still many behaviours that indicate that Islamic religious education has not been successful in educating students to develop ethics and morals. Therefore, Islamic religious education plays a very important role in internalising Islamic values so that students can understand, appreciate, and practise Islamic values in their daily lives. This study aims to describe how Islamic values are internalised by Islamic religious education teachers through the habit formation method. The research was conducted at MTs Al-Ukhuwwah in Banjang District. The research subjects were Islamic religious education teachers with informants consisting of students, the head of the religious affairs department, the school principal, and administrative staff. In collecting data, the author used observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The author also used qualitative data analysis techniques with a descriptive method. Meanwhile, data validity was checked using triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the internalisation of Islamic values by Islamic education teachers through the habituation method has been implemented at MTs Al-Ukhuwwah in Banjang District. The internalisation process involves several stages. First, the value transformation stage, which involves informing or communicating what values are good or bad. Second, the value transaction stage, which involves guiding students towards the values that have been communicated. Third, the trans-internalisation stage, which involves becoming a role model or good example. The forms of habit formation in the internalisation of Islamic values include activities that occur both within and outside the learning process, such as shaking hands and greeting others, praying before and after lessons, reciting the Qur'an, performing Dhuha prayers in congregation, performing Zuhr prayers in congregation, religious activities, extracurricular activities, and commemorations of important Islamic days. With this habit-forming method, the values of faith, morals, and worship can be realised well with the support and role of Islamic education teachers in guiding and directing the personalities of students to be better, so that students not only gain general knowledge but also religious knowledge that is embedded in themselves. The factors that hinder internalisation are the influence of the environment, moral and ethical decay, and the influence of technology. Meanwhile, the supporting factors are advice from teachers, motivation and rewards, supervision, and punishment.

Abstract

This article examines the dynamics of Christian Religious Education (PAK) in Indonesia through historical, contextual, and prospective approaches. From the colonial period to the independence era, PAK has undergone significant developments in terms of curriculum, methods, and theological orientation. In the current context, PAK faces complex challenges such as globalization, secularism, religious plurality, and the development of digital technology. To respond to these challenges, contextualization and innovation strategies are crucial to ensure PAK remains relevant, transformative, and capable of shaping strong Christian character. This article also proposes a direction for future PAK development that emphasizes strengthening teacher competency, integrating faith and life, and synergy between the church, schools, and society. Through this study, it is hoped that PAK can continue to be a moral and spiritual force that plays a role in shaping a generation of faithful, critical, and integrated Christians in Indonesia's pluralistic and dynamic society.

Abstract

The aim of the study to determine an effect of implementing the Discovery Learning model on developing the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) skills of fourth-grade learners at SD Inpres 13 Reni Ayau. The study employed a quantitative method with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design experimental approach. The sample consisted of fiveteen learners in the experimental group and seventeen learners in the control group. Data collection techniques included tests, observations, and documentation. The analysis results indicated a significant effect on the improvement of FLN skills in the experimental group after the implementation of the Discovery Learning model. This model encouraged active student engagement, experiential learning, and increased learning independence. Therefore, the Discovery Learning model is effective in enhancing elementary learners' literacy and numeracy skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between teacher attention and learning interest among third-grade students at SD Inpres 23 Pasir Putih, South Sorong. The research problem stems from the lack of studies examining the impact of teacher attention on learning motivation in rural schools, despite its recognized importance in the learning process. A quantitative correlational approach was employed, with a total sampling of 16 students. Data were collected using a 4-point Likert scale questionnaire, validated for content and reliability (α=0.72). The results showed an average score of 63.43 (good category) for teacher attention and 66.12 (good category) for s tudent learning interest. However, Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis yielded a coefficient of r=0.084 (p>0.05), indicating no significant relationship between the two variables. These findings suggest that in rural school environments, other factors such as family support or learning facilities may play a more substantial role in student engagement. This study contributes to the development of teaching strategies in remote areas by advocating for a holistic approach involving multiple stakeholders.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the profile of students receiving the Smart Indonesia Card (KIP) in the Civic Education (PPKn) Study Program at Bhinneka PGRI University Tulungagung. The focus of the research includes the students' socio-economic backgrounds, academic achievements, and strategies to maintain their Grade Point Average (GPA). KIP is a government scholarship program designed to support academically talented students from underprivileged families to access quality higher education. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach using data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings revealed that most KIP recipients came from lower-middle-class families, made considerable efforts to sustain academic performance, and implemented strategies such as time management, intrinsic motivation, and social support. Moreover, they faced challenges such as academic pressure and a lack of engagement in non-academic activities. The study concludes that student success under the KIP program is not solely determined by financial support but also by psychological readiness, a conducive learning environment, and personal strategies applied consistently.

Abstract

This study aims to examine Guidance and Counseling Services in Addressing Learning Difficulties at SD Inpres 3 Kalabahi Timur, Alor Regency, and the role of homeroom teachers as counselors in helping students overcome learning difficulties at the same school. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including interviews and documentation. The results show that the implementation of guidance and counseling services to address students' learning difficulties at SD Inpres 3 Kalabahi Timur includes: guidance and counseling services are carried out by classroom teachers, as there is no dedicated counseling teacher at the school, and the types of services used include: learning guidance services, individual counseling services, and collaboration with parents or guardians. The role of the homeroom teacher is as a counselor in implementing guidance and counseling services to help students overcome their learning difficulties at SD Inpres 3 Kalabahi Timur, Alor Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze teacher readiness in identifying the characteristics and developing the potential of gifted and talented children in fourth-grade students at the Folangkai Elementary School Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD), located in Wolwal Tengah Village, Alor Barat Daya District, Alor Regency. A common problem in elementary schools is teachers' lack of understanding in analyzing the characteristics of gifted and talented children, resulting in their potential not being optimally developed. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation of fourth-grade teachers, as well as analysis of the learning outcomes and activities of gifted and talented children. The results indicate that teachers already have a basic understanding of the characteristics of gifted and talented children, such as outstanding academic ability and speed in understanding material. However, teachers still experience difficulties in systematically identifying them due to limited research and practical guidance. Furthermore, efforts to develop the potential of gifted and talented children are still limited to providing additional assignments, the lack of additional learning programs, and the lack of structured and challenging learning programs tailored to their needs. This study recommends ongoing training for teachers and the development of differentiated learning programs to support the optimal development of gifted and talented children at the UPTD of Folangkai Elementary School. Abstract

This research aims to examine the role of tutoring in improving students' interest in learning at SD GMIT 27 Mebung, an elementary school that operates without a dedicated counseling teacher. The main issues raised are how this school implements counseling guidance services and the challenges faced in increasing students' interest in learning amidst limited resources and the influence of external factors. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques of in-depth interviews with class teachers as key informants. Data analysis was carried out thematically to identify strategies for collecting student interest and talent, handling social and disciplinary problems, collaboration with parents, and supervision and evaluation systems. The results showed that SD GMIT 27 Mebung implements integrated counseling guidance with the role of the class teacher as the main implementer. This system includes gradual data collection of students' interests and talents, individual and group social guidance services to overcome conflicts and bullying, as well as intensive handling of student attendance problems through home visits and provision of school supplies. Despite facing external challenges such as school conditions without parapets and the digital divide among students, this school has managed to make achievements in the development of students' interests and talents in the field of extracurricular activities.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of learning guidance at SD GMIT 023 Ruilak as an effort to improve students’ learning outcomes. Learning guidance at the elementary school level is an essential service that helps students overcome learning difficulties, develop independence, and foster motivation to study. This service is also expected to improve the quality of the learning process, especially in schools located in areas with limited educational facilities. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews with the fourth-grade homeroom teacher, and documentation of students’ learning progress records. The data analysis technique applied is qualitative descriptive analysis, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the implementation of learning guidance at SD GMIT 023 Ruilak still faces various challenges, such as limited time, low parental involvement, and the need for a more optimal individual approach. However, teachers play a crucial role in identifying students’ learning difficulties and providing pedagogical and emotional support to help students succeed in their studies. This study is expected to serve as a basis for improving learning guidance programs in elementary schools to make them more effective.
