Abstract

This study aims to provide an in-depth analysis of the role of information technology in educational supervision, particularly in enhancing efficiency while identifying challenges that arise in the digital era, with a specific focus on vocational high schools. Using a qualitative research design with a case study approach, the research was conducted in several public vocational high schools in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. Data collection involved in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, direct observations of supervisory practices, and document analysis. The findings reveal that information technology significantly accelerates monitoring processes, strengthens accountability, and facilitates more effective communication between supervisors and teachers. However, several barriers were identified, including limited technological infrastructure, low levels of digital literacy among some educators, and resistance to changes in organizational work culture. The study concludes that information technology holds substantial potential to improve the quality of educational supervision. Nevertheless, its successful implementation depends on the readiness of human resources, consistent policy support, and the strengthening of digital capacity within schools. These results highlight the need for integrated strategies that combine technological innovation with professional development to ensure sustainable improvements in supervisory practices

Abstract

The Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) is one of the government’s efforts to improve the nutritional status and learning quality of elementary school students. This study aims to analyze students’ satisfaction levels with the implementation of the MBG program in five elementary schools within Cluster 5 of Pengasih District. The research employed a quantitative method using questionnaires as the primary data source and supplementary secondary data obtained through interviews. The study involved 219 students from a total population of 481, determined using the Slovin formula with a margin of error of 0.5%. Data analysis referred to the SERVQUAL dimensions, including Tangibles, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Empathy. The results showed that the overall satisfaction level ranged between 7.50 and 8.04, categorized as “good to very good.” The Tangibles dimension obtained the highest mean score (8.04), indicating that students were satisfied with the cleanliness, appearance, and presentation of meals. However, the Assurance dimension received the lowest score (7.50), suggesting the need for improvement in food safety and quality aspects. Overall, the MBG program was considered effective in supporting students’ health, learning motivation, and overall well-being within the elementary school environment

Abstract

Educational media is a crucial component in the learning process, serving as a means of conveying messages from educators to students. This research aims to examine the concept of educational media and its role in increasing learning effectiveness. The research method employed is a qualitative approach, utilizing literature studies through the review of various books and scientific articles relevant to the topic of learning media. The data was analyzed using content analysis techniques to identify the role, types, and benefits of educational media in the teaching and learning process. The results of the study indicate that the effective use of educational media can enhance students' material understanding, learning motivation, and active involvement. Additionally, the development of digital media offers opportunities for more interactive, flexible, and student-centered learning. However, the effectiveness of educational media is highly dependent on educators' ability to choose and utilize it effectively in accordance with learning objectives and the characteristics of students. Thus, educational media must be strategically integrated into learning plans to enhance the quality of education

Abstract

Student learning achievement is one of the key indicators of educational success and is influenced by various internal and external factors. One important external factor is the family environment. This study aims to describe the condition of the family environment in supporting students’ learning activities, analyze students’ learning achievement at school, and examine the influence of the family environment on students’ learning achievement. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. The research subjects were selected purposively and involved students, parents, and teachers. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The data were analyzed thematically through data reduction, data presentation, verification, and conclusion drawing, supported by source triangulation to ensure data validity. The results indicate that a supportive family environment characterized by harmonious relationships, parental attention, learning assistance, and adequate learning facilities has a positive effect on students’ learning achievement. Conversely, a lack of parental attention, limited economic conditions, and an unconducive home environment negatively affect students’ motivation and academic achievement. Therefore, it can be concluded that the family environment has a significant influence on students’ learning achievement and that collaboration between families and schools is essential to support students’ learning success.

Abstract

Teachers play a very important role in determining the success of the learning process. One of the main roles of teachers is to foster student motivation to learn in order to create an active and meaningful learning atmosphere. This study aims to describe the role of teachers in fostering student motivation to learn in Fiqh lessons in Grade III at MIN 3 Sambas and to identify the factors that support and hinder this. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the research subjects being Fiqh teachers and third-grade students at MIN 3 Sambas. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analysed descriptively through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that teachers played an important role in fostering student motivation through various strategies, including using varied learning methods, setting a good example, creating a pleasant learning atmosphere, and rewarding students' efforts. Supporting factors included the availability of learning media, school environment support, and good teacher-student relationships. Hindering factors included differences in student characteristics and limited learning time. Thus, it can be concluded that the role of teachers is very influential in fostering student motivation in learning Fiqh. Teachers who are able to innovate and adapt teaching methods to the needs of students can increase their interest and enthusiasm for learning Fiqh

Abstract

Christian religious education in the family is one of the main foundations in shaping children’s faith and character. However, in reality, there is often tension between the expectations of Christian parents and the psychological reality of children. On the one hand, many parents expect their children to be obedient, diligent in worship, and behave in accordance with Christian values. On the other hand, children are in a stage of psychological development that requires acceptance, emotional support, and even a sense of security for the children themselves. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of Christian faith education in family life, highlighting the tension that occurs between parental expectations and the psychological condition of children, and offering a balanced, sustainable, and humanistic approach to Family PAK. The method used was qualitative, using a literature study approach to various scientific literature related to Family Religious Education and Child Development Psychology. The results of the study showed that religious education that is too authoritarian or normative in children’s daily lives has the potential to make children less creative and raise them in a rigid pattern so that sometimes children are less able to express themselves freely. Therefore, Christian Religious Education in the family needs to reinterpret and integrate Christian faith with an understanding of child psychology so that the process of shaping a child’s faith can take place in a holistic, relational, and sustainable manner and fulfill the objectives of Family Religious Education

Abstract

Leadership plays an important role in sustaining non formal educational institutions. This study examines family based leadership and management efficiency practiced by the founder of Sekolah Qu’ran Indonesia in Plupuh, Sragen. The research focuses on leadership patterns that shape the working atmosphere and institutional management. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through in depth interviews with the founder and participatory observation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.The findings indicate that leadership at Sekolah Qu’ran Indonesia is participatory and family oriented. Teachers are positioned as part of an institutional family and involved in decision making through deliberation, routine evaluation, and pre teaching briefings. This approach creates a supportive working atmosphere and strengthens collective responsibility. Management efficiency is reflected in the optimal use of limited resources. The study shows that family based leadership and efficiency support institutional continuity

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the sociological characteristics and typologies of Islamic education at the Raudlotut Tolibin Islamic Boarding School and MI Al-Mukmin (PP. Bumi Solawat Al-Mukmin) in Seruyan Raya District, Central Kalimantan. The research method employed is a qualitative approach with a library research design and documentary study. Data analysis techniques utilized content analysis through an interactive model encompassing data reduction, descriptive data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Research findings indicate that the development of Islam in Bangkal and Selunuk Villages reflects an organic model of religious moderation, characterized by the physical coexistence of houses of worship alongside symbols of the local Dayak culture. Institutionally, there is a harmonious dialectic between the salafiyah pattern, which maintains the originality of faith through the mastery of classical yellow books (kitab kuning), and the khalafiyah pattern, which is adaptive through an innovative and environment-oriented educational vision. Specifically, MI Al-Mukmin's vision successfully synchronizes the demands of flagship school standards with the preservation of local cultural activities as an effort to protect Muslim identity from the currents of globalization. The synergy of these two boarding school typologies represents an integral educational model that is most effective in addressing multi-sectoral challenges while serving as an anchor for social stability in the hinterlands of Kalimantan

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of spiritual leadership as a human resource management approach to improving teacher performance in Islamic educational institutions.The study used a qualitative case study approach, collecting data through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation with teachers and institutional leaders.This approach emphasizes the integration of spiritual values, such as role models, integrity, and moral responsibility, into human resource management, which are rarely systematically applied in contemporary Islamic education.The results show that spiritual leadership strengthens teachers' commitment, discipline, and the quality of learning, and creates a meaningful work climate. This provides a practical reference for improving the quality and performance of Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

The institutional transformation of Islamic higher education in Indonesia constitutes a crucial aspect of educational planning and development within the national education system. The change from State Islamic Colleges (STAIN) to State Islamic Institutes (IAIN), and subsequently from IAIN to State Islamic Universities (UIN), represents not merely a change in nomenclature but a strategic expansion of academic mandates, institutional strengthening, and the integration of Islamic sciences with general sciences. This study aims to analyze the historical background of the STAIN–IAIN–UIN transformation, the urgency of planning and developing Islamic higher education institutions, and development strategies relevant to globalization and contemporary challenges. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach through library research by examining academic literature, government regulations, and relevant policy documents. The findings indicate that institutional transformation is a strategic response to the advancement of science and technology, labor market demands, religious moderation, and the internationalization of higher education. Islamic higher education institutions are required to develop integrative curricula, enhance the quality of human resources, strengthen research and scientific publications, and implement professional and accountable governance. Through comprehensive planning and effective development strategies, Islamic higher education institutions are expected to serve as centers of academic excellence while preserving Islamic values in the global era
