Abstract

The development of analytical ability is an essential aspect of higher-order thinking skills that must be fostered through Islamic education, particularly in Aqidah Akhlak learning. However, learning practices in many madrasahs remain dominated by conventional methods emphasizing memorization rather than analytical reasoning. This study aims to analyze the Aqidah Akhlak learning model and its role in developing the analytical abilities of seventh-grade students at MTs Sumbersari Kowang. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving teachers, students, and the school principal. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of case-based learning combined with group discussions and role-playing effectively enhances students’ analytical abilities. Students demonstrated improved skills in identifying moral problems, analyzing Islamic textual evidence, constructing logical arguments, and making ethical decisions. Classroom participation increased from 50% to 80%, while students’ essay scores improved from an average of 70 to 85. This study concludes that the Aqidah Akhlak learning model is effective and relevant for developing students’ analytical abilities in madrasah contexts, particularly in rural areas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of learning agility as a human resource development approach for teachers in responding to educational technology transformation at SMP Plus Darussalam Blokagung. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The findings indicate that teachers with high learning agility demonstrate greater adaptability, pedagogical innovation, and consistency in integrating digital learning technologies. Learning agility strengthens teachers’ mental readiness, fosters instructional innovation, and enhances the effectiveness of technology-based professional development. This study contributes to the literature by extending learning agility research into the context of Islamic boarding school–based education and proposing a strategic framework for sustainable and adaptive teacher development

Abstract

This study aims to identify the role of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in addressing bullying behavior at SDN 1 Kalampangan. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with students and the Islamic Education teacher as the main subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that Islamic Education teachers play a strategic role in preventing and handling bullying through three main functions: as educators, role models, and spiritual mentors. They instill moral and ethical values (akhlakul karimah), guide students to understand Islamic teachings regarding compassion and the prohibition of harming others, and foster a religious and harmonious school atmosphere. Efforts include integrating Islamic values into the learning process, promoting mutual respect among students, and collaborating with schools and parents. The main obstacles encountered are low student awareness of bullying’s impact and limited supervision outside class hours. The study concludes that collaboration among teachers, schools, and families is essential to create a safe, religiously grounded, and bullying-free educational environment

Abstract

Digital plagiarism has become an increasingly serious issue in the contemporary digital era, particularly within academic and professional environments. Rapid advances in information technology have enabled easy access to a wide range of digital resources, while simultaneously increasing the risk of copyright violations and the unauthorized use of others’ intellectual works. This paper aims to examine the concept of digital plagiarism, its various forms, underlying causes, and its impacts on academic integrity and professional credibility. The study also explores strategies to prevent and address digital plagiarism through ethical awareness, educational efforts, and the use of plagiarism detection technologies. This research employs a qualitative approach based on library research, drawing on academic journals, books, and expert opinions related to digital plagiarism and academic ethics. The findings indicate that a lack of understanding of citation practices, limited awareness of copyright issues, excessive academic pressure, and the ease of copying digital content are major factors contributing to digital plagiarism. Therefore, comprehensive education on digital ethics, strict institutional policies, and the effective use of plagiarism detection tools are essential to minimizing plagiarism practices in academic and professional contexts

Abstract

This research is motivated by the gap between the high activity of early childhood children in the use of sewing learning media and the low fine motor skills of children in Group A RA Al-Mukhlisin Lengkong, Bandung Regency. This can be seen from the children's response when the children's activities in the use of sewing learning media are able to follow until completion. On the other hand, children's fine motor skills are still not developed as seen from the children's inability to button clothes, tie shoelaces, and trace shapes. This study aims to determine how the activities of early childhood children in the use of sewing learning media, fine motor skills, and the relationship between the two. Fine motor skills are influenced by several factors, one of which is the child's activity in the use of sewing learning media. Children's activities in the use of sewing learning media can optimize eye-hand coordination, wrist flexibility, and strength and flexibility of the fingers. The research methodology used is a quantitative approach with a correlation method. The subjects of this study were 37 children in Group A RA Al-Mukhlisin Lengkong, Bandung Regency. This study used a saturated sampling technique, which means that all populations were sampled. The data collection technique of this research uses observation and documentation. The results of data analysis show that the activities of early childhood in the use of sewing learning media obtained an average value of 60. This figure is in the range of 60-69 which is interpreted as sufficient. While fine motor skills obtained an average value of 77. This figure is in the range of 70-79 which is interpreted as good. Furthermore, the relationship between the activities of early childhood in the use of sewing learning media with fine motor skills obtained a correlation coefficient of 0.412. The results of the significance test obtained t count = 2.677 and t table at a significance of 5% with db = 35 of 2.030. Because t count = 2.677> t table = 2.030, then Ho (null hypothesis) is rejected and Ha (alternative hypothesis) is accepted. In other words, the activities of early childhood in the use of sewing learning media have a positive and significant relationship with fine motor skills. Furthermore, children's activities using sewing learning media contributed 16.97% to fine motor skills in Group A of RA Al-Mukhlisin Lengkong, Bandung Regency. The remaining 83.03% was influenced by other factors not examined in this study

Abstract

Christian Religious Education (CRE) within the family context holds a crucial role in nurturing children’s faith and shaping their character. The family functions as the primary educational environment that plays a significant role in instilling Christian values through life example, teaching processes, and the habitual practice of faith in daily life. This article aims to analyze the implementation of Christian Religious Education within the family as a means of holistically forming children’s faith and character. The method employed is a literature review using a descriptive–qualitative approach based on relevant theological, pedagogical, and psychological sources. The findings indicate that the effectiveness of CRE implementation in the family is determined by the active involvement of parents as faith educators, the application of values such as love, discipline, and responsibility, and consistent spiritual formation through prayer and Bible reading. Christian Religious Education in the family not only serves as a means of transmitting faith knowledge but also functions as a continuous process of shaping Christian character. Therefore, family-based CRE becomes a strategic means of preparing children to develop mature faith and character that reflect the values of Christ in their daily lives.

Abstract

Authentic assessment is a crucial component of the Merdeka Curriculum, particularly in Islamic Religious Education (PAI), which emphasizes holistic development of students’ attitudes, knowledge, and skills. However, its classroom implementation still encounters practical challenges. This study aims to examine the implementation of authentic assessment in PAI learning at SMP Negeri 1 Kota Sukabumi within the Merdeka Curriculum framework. A qualitative case study design was employed, with data collected through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis involving a PAI teacher as the main informant. Data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by triangulation techniques. The findings reveal that authentic assessment has been implemented through integrated assessment of attitudes, knowledge, and skills using practices, discussions, and observations during the learning process. Teachers provide feedback and follow-up actions; however, limitations remain in the use of written and structured assessment instruments, particularly rubrics. This study underscores the importance of strengthening teachers’ assessment literacy to improve the effectiveness and consistency of authentic assessment in PAI learning.

Abstract

The development of technology-based vocational education requires Islamic Religious Education (IRE) to adapt in order to remain relevant to students’ needs. This study aims to analyze the epistemology of IRE within a new paradigm and to examine the integration of IRE with vocational subjects at SMK Wira Informatika Global Parungkuda. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis, and were analyzed thematically using source triangulation. The findings indicate that IRE epistemology is understood in an integrative manner, positioning revelation as the primary normative source while being interpreted through reason and contextualized by students’ vocational experiences. The integration of IRE and vocational knowledge is manifested through the linkage of Islamic values with digital ethics and professional conduct. This study concludes that IRE functions as a value framework guiding character formation and competency development in technology-based vocational education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain: 1). The ability to memorize short surahs in the Al-Qur’an and Hadith subject among first-grade students of MIN 2 Sambas. 2). The implementation of the habituation method in improving the memorization of short surahs in the Al-Qur’an and Hadith subject among first-grade students of MIN 2 Sambas. 3). The implications of the habituation method in improving the memorization of short surahs in the Al-Qur’an and Hadith subject among first-grade students of MIN 2 Sambas. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data was examined using triangulation and member checking. The results of the study show that: 1. The ability to memorize short surahs in the Al-Qur’an and Hadith subject among first-grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 2 Sambas includes: a) ability, b) memorization, c) sources of motivation, d) development, e) improvement, f) prevention, and g) habituation. 2. The implementation of the habituation method in improving the memorization of short surahs in the Al-Qur’an and Hadith subject among first-grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 2 Sambas consists of: a) routine activities, b) spontaneous activities, c) exemplary behavior (role modeling), and d) programmed activities. 3. The implications of the habituation method in improving the memorization of short surahs in the Al-Qur’an and Hadith subject among first-grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 2 Sambas include: a) enabling children to memorize independently in their daily lives without parental assistance, b) internalized values that are manifested in their lives, c) application in daily life, and d) habituation can encourage and accelerate behavioral change.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze classroom teachers’ strategies in integrating Fiqh and Natural Sciences (IPA) to realize holistic education at MI Azzainiyyah. The research is motivated by the persistent dichotomy between religious subjects and general sciences in madrasah learning, which often causes Islamic Religious Education, particularly Fiqh, to be perceived as less contextual and less relevant to students’ daily lives. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the vice principal for curriculum and classroom teachers, classroom observations, and document analysis. The collected data were analyzed using an interactive analysis model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the integration of Fiqh and Natural Sciences has been implemented contextually through flexible lesson planning, learning activities based on real-life examples and students’ experiences, and the reinforcement of school habituation programs. This integrative approach contributes to the development of holistic educational values encompassing cognitive, affective-spiritual, and psychomotor aspects. However, the implementation of integrative learning still faces challenges, particularly the lack of standardized integrative teaching materials and limited availability of learning media.
