Abstract

Based on initial observations, data was obtained showing that students' science learning outcomes were still low. This was due to the conventional learning system and the lack of tools to help students understand the learning material. Therefore, research was conducted with the aim of improving science learning outcomes through the use of the learning cycle model with image media. This research was classroom action research, which was carried out in two cycles. The stages included planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data collection methods used included written tests, observation sheets, and documentation. Data analysis used descriptive statistics. The subjects in this study were 14 third-grade students at SD Negeri 14 Langung Sepakat, Rao Utara. From the results of the pre-cycle data analysis, the classical mastery level was 42.86% with an average score of 60.00, which was considered sufficient. After the PTK was conducted, there was an increase in the average science learning outcomes of students in each cycle. In cycle I, the classical mastery percentage was 64.29% with an average score of 67.86, then in cycle II, the classical mastery percentage was 92.86% with an average score of 86.42, with a Very Good criterion. From these results, it can be concluded that the use of the learning cycle model with image media can improve students' science learning outcomes, so that it can be used by teachers as one of the learning models in science lessons.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in fine motor skills of children aged 5-6 years through pattern sewing activities at Tk Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 01 Medan. This type of research is a quantitative experiment with Pre-experimental design type one group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study amounted to 17 children of group B at Tk Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 01. Data collection instruments include observation and documentation guidelines. Pattern sewing activities use flannel, plastic needles, wool thread as learning media. The results of the analysis show a significant change in children's fine motor skills after being treated. This is shown through the Wilcoxon test which obtained a significance value of 000 <0.05 so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, pattern sewing activities using flannel are proven to have an effect on children's fine motor skills.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the Tahfidz Dua Juz Program at SD Sekolah Alam Youth Khalifa using the Countenance Stake Model, which assesses the antecedents, transactions, and outcomes of a program. Several implementation issues such as limited communication between teachers and parents, the absence of special strategies for students with special needs, unclear achievement indicators per grade level, and limited facilities serve as the background of this evaluation. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The analysis compares intended plans with observed practices and evaluates their alignment with program standards. The findings reveal that although the program is conceptually strong, its implementation faces obstacles that affect students’ memorization progress. The daily morning tahfidz routine runs effectively, yet parental involvement and differentiation for special-needs students remain suboptimal. Outcomes show that not all students achieve the two-juz target, prompting policy adjustments to a minimum of one juz. Overall, the program is running well but requires improvements in communication, facilities, and individualized learning strategies.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has had a significant impact on the education sector, including in the realm of Islamic education. One innovation that plays a crucial role is artificial intelligence (AI). This article explains how AI can be used as a tool in Islamic education using the TPACK approach, which encompasses knowledge of technology, pedagogy, and content. This research was conducted through a literature review analyzing various existing literature. The findings of this study indicate that AI can increase the effectiveness of the Islamic learning process and maintain the teacher's position as a moral and spiritual guide.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to identify and describe leadership values at the Rasyidiyah Khalidiyah Islamic Boarding School in Amuntai, South Kalimantan. Methodology: The research method used was a qualitative approach with a case study design. Sampling techniques were carried out using targeted sampling and snowballing techniques. The research instruments used were observation, interviews, and document examination. Data analysis was conducted using an inductive conceptualisation approach. Findings: Based on the research conducted, the following findings were obtained regarding leadership values at the Rasyidiyah Khalidiyah Islamic Boarding School in Amuntai: (1) Types of values: the main values at the Rasyidiyah Khalidiyah Islamic Boarding School in Amuntai are sincerity, kinship, togetherness, and boarding school values (morals and rituals). (2) Sources of values: The leadership values of the Rasyidiyah Khalidiyah Amuntai Islamic Boarding School originate from the founder of the boarding school (muassis), leadership figures, and teachers at the boarding school. (3) Transmission of values, at the Rasyidiyah Khalidiyah Amuntai Islamic Boarding School, values are transmitted within the cultural environment of the boarding school, which is reinforced by traditions such as haulan, selamatan, rituals, ceremonies, and the practice of ‘gawi sabumi’ work. (4) Awareness of values, there is a strong awareness among members of the basic principles. These values determine academic leadership and organisational actions. (5) Value advancement: this study shows that the dissemination of values within the organisational community occurs naturally and continuously, built within a unique environment of interaction and coloured by the nature of the leadership. (6) Documentation of values: the main social values possessed and developed in Islamic boarding schools are not documented, but new organisational leadership values have been written normatively and textually in institutional documents.

Abstract

Educational supervision is an essential component of educational management that plays a strategic role in improving the quality of learning in schools. Supervision does not merely function as a control mechanism but also serves as a continuous professional development effort aimed at enhancing teachers’ competencies. This article seeks to analyze the concept of educational supervision, including its definition, objectives, functions, principles, models, techniques, as well as the challenges and solutions in its implementation. The research method employed is a literature review by examining relevant books, regulations, and scientific journal articles. The findings indicate that educational supervision conducted in a professional, democratic, and collaborative manner can significantly improve teachers’ pedagogical competence and contribute to the enhancement of learning quality in educational institutions.

Abstract

This study examines symbolic violence and gender representation in the reporting of the Pacet Mojokerto mutilation case using Norman Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA). This study employed a qualitative approach, with data sources consisting of news videos on the YouTube platform and their narrative transcripts. The analysis focused on discourse practices, including the production, distribution, and consumption of texts. The results showed that the media reproduced gender bias through the use of sensationalist diction, causal framing that led to victim blaming, and the dominance of law enforcement narratives. The distribution of discourse through digital media reinforced the spread of patriarchal ideology, while audience consumption of texts contributed to the normalization of violence against women. This study emphasized that media discourse practices play a significant role in shaping public perception and reproducing gender inequality in crime reporting

Abstract

This study aims to analyze language variations in TVRI's Public Service Announcement entitled "Reject Money Politics" to understand the formation of moral messages and anti-money politics ideologies through linguistic choices. Language variations in advertisements not only function as an information medium but also as a communication strategy that adapts messages to the characteristics of diverse audiences. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with sociolinguistic analysis based on Chaer and Agustina's language variation theory. Data were obtained through transcriptions of verbal utterances in advertisement videos uploaded to TVRI's official YouTube channel, then classified into three categories: popular mass language, legal language, and persuasive language. The results show that popular mass language is used to create closeness with the public through familiar greetings and simple diction. Legal language serves to emphasize the authority of election regulations through legal terms and criminal sanctions. Meanwhile, persuasive language is used to encourage attitude change through direct invitations and affirmation of moral values. These three language variations complement each other in building public awareness and strengthening the message of rejecting the practice of money politics in order to maintain the integrity of democracy

Abstract

Instructional media has a strategic role in increasing the effectiveness of the Islamic Education learning process. Learning that is still dominated by conventional methods tends to be less effective in accommodating the diverse needs of students, both in terms of learning styles and technological advancements. This study aims to analyze the role of instructional media in the learning process of Islamic Education and examine its contribution to increasing understanding, motivation for learning, and the internalization of Islamic values in students. The research method employed is a literature study, which involves analyzing various relevant literature sources, including books, journal articles, and previous research results. The results of the study show that the use of appropriate instructional media, including visual, audio, audio-visual, and digital media, is able to create more interactive, interesting, and meaningful learning experiences. In addition, instructional media play a supporting role in delivering teaching materials systematically and assist teachers in instilling Islamic values in a contextual manner. Thus, the optimal use of instructional media is expected to improve the quality of the learning process and outcomes of Islamic Education.
