Abstract

Gross motor development is very important for children. The development of children's gross motor skills requires assistance from educators in educational institutions. The ability to carry out movements and physical actions for a child is related to self-confidence and forming a self-concept. One way to maintain body fitness is through rhythmic exercise. Rhythmic gymnastics are gymnastic movements or free movements accompanied by music that matches the rhythm that follows the movements. Rhythmic gymnastics aims to develop movement abilities, such as developing muscle endurance, strength, flexibility, agility and balance through physical activities, namely playing and exercising which are carried out systematically, directed and planned. Children who are directly involved in rhythmic gymnastics activities will develop flexibility and coordination. To improve a child's gross motor skills, training is needed that is appropriate to the child's characteristics. Gross motor development will be optimal if physical activities are carried out to stimulate it. First, perform coordinated body movements to train flexibility, balance and agility. Second, coordinate the movements of the legs, hands and head in imitating dance or gymnastics. Third, play a physical game with rules. Fourth, be skilled in using your right and left hands. Fifth, carry out personal hygiene activities.

Abstract

Learning as a part of education is the spearhead of determining whether or not educational goals are achieved, so that the quality of learning is intimately associated with the caliber of education. Lesson study implementation is one attempt to raise the standard of education in the modern world. Lesson Study is a coaching endeavor aimed at enhancing the learning process that is carried out by a group of teachers in a collaborative and ongoing manner when it comes to organizing, carrying out, monitoring, and reporting learning outcomes. An educational paradigm that includes strategies to raise the standard of instruction by using the application of lesson study is a very relevant and effective approach. Lesson Study is a cooperative approach where educators plan, monitor, and reflect on their learning together. The learning community is one of the cornerstones of lesson study. The research method used in this article is a literature review. The quality of learning, autonomous learning during lesson study, and methods for putting lesson study into practice to raise learning quality are all included in this research.

Abstract

The process of learning activities currently follows technological developments, one of which is learning via the internet. One effort to overcome students' passive attitude is to increase students' involvement in learning through the use of learning media. There are many learning media that can be used in the learning process, especially in science subjects. This includes images, videos and animated media and can use existing school infrastructure to provide these media. One of them is the use of social media-based learning media. Instagram social media is very suitable as an online learning medium because Instagram is very easy to use and is an application that is familiar to the millennial generation. The use of Instagram as a learning medium has emerged as an alternative solution in improving the quality of learning in the current digital era. Instagram social media is very fast in conveying information and easy to access by students. Using Instagram as a learning medium can also increase student participation in learning activities. With more intense interaction and attractive visuals, students will be more motivated to learn.

Abstract

Differentiated learning is an approach that adapts to the learning needs of each student. Teachers provide facilities that suit students' individual needs, bearing in mind that each student has unique characteristics and cannot be treated uniformly. This article aims to provide a deeper understanding of learning differentiation and explore teachers' perceptions regarding its implementation in the classroom. The results of interview research show that the purpose of differentiated learning is to coordinate learning by paying attention to students' interests, readiness and learning preferences. This aims to help all students achieve learning goals, increase motivation and learning outcomes, and establish a harmonious relationship between teachers and students, so that students are more enthusiastic about learning. In conclusion, differentiated learning gives students the opportunity to learn naturally and efficiently with the help of teachers who are able to combine the required methods and approaches. There are several obstacles that arise, such as limited facilities and infrastructure that support the differentiated learning process, teachers need time to prepare learning instruments, appropriate methods and appropriate media, implementing differentiated learning requires relatively high costs and teachers must have good classroom management skills.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the level of scientific information literacy of class VII junior high school students in two schools in Palu City. The era of globalization demands students' ability to navigate social media and digital information sources critically. The survey method was used by collecting data from 50 students using structured questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. Five dimensions of scientific information literacy are explored: information acquisition, information filtering, information credibility evaluation, information sharing, and opinion expression. The results showed that the majority of students demonstrated a high level of scientific information literacy, especially in information acquisition and filtering. However, the ability to evaluate the credibility of information and express opinions still requires further attention. These findings highlight the importance of developing students' critical skills in managing and assessing the information they encounter in digital environments. The educational implications of this research include the need for further integration of information literacy education in the school curriculum, with a focus on developing skills for evaluating the credibility of information sources and strengthening the ability to express opinions. Recommended strategies include intensive training for teachers in teaching information literacy, the use of technology to support learning, and the development of assessments that comprehensively reflect students' information literacy abilities. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the status of students' scientific information literacy at the junior high school level, as well as providing a basis for the development of more effective educational strategies for facing the current challenges of information globalization.

Abstract

This introduction discusses the importance of early childhood education in shaping the growth and development of children, especially in cognitive development. The golden period of childhood, particularly at the age of 5-6 years old, is a crucial time in forming personality and understanding of the surrounding environment. One important aspect to develop during this period is cognition, which involves various abilities such as attention, memory, and logical thinking. Science learning activities, especially through gardening methods, are an interesting approach to enhance the scientific understanding of young children. Through these activities, children can learn in a fun and contextual way while developing science process skills and understanding of the environment. The subjects of this research are 3 children aged 5-6 years old. The research method used is qualitative, involving observation, interviews, and literature studies to gain a deep understanding of the influence of gardening activities on the scientific knowledge of young children. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that gardening activities have a significant impact on the development of children, both in terms of knowledge, skills, and attitudes. This indicates the importance of introducing scientific concepts to young children through fun and relevant approaches to their daily lives.

Abstract

This article addresses key aspects such as body position, hip rotation, and core strength with physical and mental exercises that contribute to stronger punches and hitting accuracy. Through implementing these strategies, players can develop more effective shots and improve their ability to control and dominate the court. Combining the right technique and training will be the key to achieving superior hitting power in tennis. Court tennis forehand technical skills include open skills. Open skills are movement skills where the implementation occurs in changing environmental conditions, and the actor moves according to the stimulus that arises. Temporal and special changes in environmental conditions will stimulate students to move. When students perform forehand movements, they will adjust the incoming ball so that they can adjust the position of their feet, bet and starting point in executing their forehand. The drill method for forehand strokes is a movement that is done with a sprint movement to move forward or obliquely forward, a step to the right, left side, and a backward movement to move backwards and obliquely backwards. Thus, if training using the drill method is carried out seriously and according to instructions, it will be able to improve your forehand ability to become better, so that during games or matches it will be an advantage for scoring points.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of nature-based science learning on the cognitive development of early childhood students at TK IT Nada Ashobah Wiyung Surabaya. The research method used is a quasi-experimental design with a one- group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study consists of all group B children at TK IT Nada Ashobah, totaling 15 children. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling. The sample consists of 15 group B children. The results show a significant improvement in children's understanding of plant parts after the treatment. The pretest indicated that most children were in the "Starting to Develop" category, while the posttest showed an increase, with the majority of children in the "Developing Very Well" category. The Wilcoxon test showed an Asymp (2-tailed) value of 0.001, indicating that nature-based science learning has a significant impact on children's cognitive development. The study concludes that the nature-based learning approach is effective in enhancing children's understanding and interest in science and recommends integrating this method into the early childhood education curriculum.
