Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and Earnings per Share (EPS) on the stock prices of food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the years 2020-2024, both partially and simultaneously. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with a population size of 100. The sample of companies that meet the criteria is 50 companies. The data analysis method used is descriptive statistical analysis with statistics consisting of multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination test (R2), partial T test, and simultaneous F test. The data from financial reports and stock prices obtained have been tested with classical assumption tests and the results can be used for regression data. Both simultaneously and partially, Return on Asset (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and Earnings per Share (EPS) significantly affect stock prices. Based on the coefficient of determination (R2) results, stock prices are influenced by ROA, ROE, and EPS by 66.4%, while the remainder is influenced by other variables discussed in the research

Abstract

In the context of education, the courage to express opinions is an important indicator in shaping the character and skills of students. This courage reflects students' ability to convey ideas, thoughts, and arguments openly in front of teachers and classmates. This study aims to describe the role of teachers, the obstacles faced, and efforts to overcome these obstacles in increasing students' courage to express opinions, especially in Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) learning at SMK Negeri 1 Lolomatua. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Informants in this study consisted of six people, namely one PPKn subject teacher and five students who were selected purposively. The results of the study indicate that the role of teachers is very important in creating a classroom climate that is conducive to student courage. Teachers play a role in creating an open, democratic, and inclusive classroom atmosphere; use participatory learning methods such as group discussions; and serve as role models in expressing opinions politely. The main obstacles faced consist of internal factors such as lack of self-confidence, minimal understanding of the material, and limited communication skills. Meanwhile, external factors include an unsupportive learning environment and concerns about judgment or negative reactions from classmates. Teachers' efforts to overcome these obstacles include acknowledging every opinion expressed by students, conducting public speaking exercises or simulations, building a culture of mutual respect in the classroom, and communicating with parents to provide moral support at home. With a consistent approach, students' courage in expressing their opinions can be gradually and sustainably increased.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of teachers, the obstacles faced, and the role of teachers in overcoming these obstacles in instilling democratic values through Civics Education (PKn) subjects for students of SMP Negeri 4 Tuhemberua. Democratic values such as freedom of opinion, tolerance, deliberation, and responsibility are an important part in shaping students' character to become good citizens. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that teachers have a strategic role in instilling democratic values, both through the learning process in the classroom and through extracurricular activities. Teachers act as facilitators, motivators, and role models in fostering democratic attitudes in students. Obstacles faced include the lack of active student participation and limited learning media, but these can be overcome with a creative and participatory approach. Thus, Civics learning makes a significant contribution in shaping students' democratic attitudes and behavior in the school environment. Furthermore, in the learning process in the classroom, teachers use various active methods such as group discussions, deliberation simulations, and debates that aim to encourage students to get used to expressing opinions responsibly. Teachers also frequently relate material to current social phenomena, enabling students to see the relevance of democratic values in everyday life. Furthermore, teachers instill the values of tolerance and respect for differences through concrete examples and everyday behaviors both inside and outside the classroom. Another obstacle identified in this study was the students' diverse social backgrounds, which influenced their perspectives on democratic values. Some students still struggled to understand the importance of respecting others' opinions or were not yet accustomed to playing openly.

Abstract

Problems in learning Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) for students are caused by various factors, including school factors, teachers, and the students themselves. The purpose of this study is to identify and understand in depth the problems that occur and determine the steps that can be taken to overcome these problems. This study uses a descriptive approach with qualitative methods. The main instrument in this study is the researcher herself, who is tasked with determining the research focus, collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data, and drawing conclusions based on field findings. Data collection techniques used are observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Informants in this study include the principal, PPKn teachers, and students at the UPTD SMP Negeri 7 Mandrehe. The results of the study indicate that the main problems in PPKn learning are caused by low student interest and motivation, the use of monotonous learning methods by teachers, limited learning media, and minimal supporting facilities and infrastructure at the school. These conditions have an impact on students' lack of understanding of the values of Pancasila and citizenship. To address this issue, various efforts have been made, including requiring teachers to use more varied, innovative, and enjoyable learning methods. Furthermore, schools are expected to provide support by organizing teacher training and providing learning facilities and infrastructure, such as libraries, audio-visual media, and classrooms that support active and interactive teaching and learning activities. These steps are expected to make PPKn learning more effective and beneficial for students. Problems in Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) learning for students are caused by various factors, including school, teacher, and student factors. The purpose of this study is to identify and understand in-depth the problems that occur and determine steps that can be taken to address these issues.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas implementasi Sistem Pemerintahan Berbasis Elektronik (SPBE) di Kementerian Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) dalam rangka mendukung reformasi birokrasi digital di Indonesia. Meskipun capaian Indeks SPBE Kementerian BUMN menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dengan skor 4,41 pada tahun 2023, implementasi di tingkat internal BUMN masih menghadapi sejumlah tantangan serius. Permasalahan utama mencakup rendahnya interoperabilitas sistem, fragmentasi data, keterbatasan SDM digital, lemahnya komitmen kepemimpinan, serta budaya organisasi yang belum mendukung transformasi digital. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis literatur dan data sekunder untuk mengevaluasi faktor penghambat dan pendorong keberhasilan implementasi SPBE. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan SPBE di lingkungan BUMN sangat ditentukan oleh integrasi teknologi, harmonisasi regulasi, penguatan tata kelola (good governance dan good corporate governance), serta kepemimpinan yang visioner. Studi ini merekomendasikan penguatan manajemen perubahan, peningkatan kapasitas SDM, percepatan integrasi sistem digital antar-BUMN, dan pembentukan ekosistem digital yang inklusif sebagai strategi keberlanjutan SPBE ke depan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the legal status of adopted children in inheritance distribution according to Karo customary law. The method used is qualitative research with an empirical juridical approach. This approach was chosen to explore the interaction between customary legal norms and practices that occur in Karo society. Through an empirical approach, researchers seek to directly understand how inheritance distribution is carried out in the daily lives of the Karo customary community. The research data sources consist of primary data obtained through direct interviews with traditional leaders, field observations, and documentation, while secondary data comes from literature, regulations, and related documents. Data analysis was conducted qualitatively with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and verification or drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the Karo community, particularly in Dokan Village, recognizes that adopted children adopted through the Perkahkah Bohan traditional ritual have equal status to biological children in social and emotional aspects. Adopted children who are adopted before a married couple has biological children usually receive full inheritance rights, especially if the child is male. However, if the adopted child arrives after the birth of a biological child, the inheritance rights received tend to be smaller or different, which are determined based on family deliberation. The factor of customary legitimacy through traditional rituals plays a crucial role in determining the status of adopted children regarding inheritance rights. These findings confirm that Karo customary law is dynamic, adapting to social conditions while maintaining the principle of patrilineal kinship as the primary basis of the inheritance system. Thus, the status of adopted children in Karo customary law is not static, but rather contextual, in accordance with customary values and collective family decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze efforts to implement legal protection for the social welfare rights of street vendors based on Regional Regulation Number 5 of 2022 and to analyze the obstacles faced in implementing regional regulations related to the protection of social welfare rights of street vendors. The research method used is qualitative research and descriptive research type, and uses a normative juridical approach to analyze regional regulations and an empirical juridical approach to explore real conditions in the field. The subjects of this study were Street Vendors and the Head of Public Order in Sempakata Village, Medan Selayang District. Data collection used is primary data and secondary data. Primary data in the form of observations and interviews, while secondary data in this study is legal literature, government policy documents such as regional regulations. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman approach, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the study, it shows that legal protection for street vendors as regulated in Regional Regulation Number 5 of 2022 has not been fully realized in Sempakata Village. The implementation of this regional regulation, such as limited public awareness campaigns, the lack of suitable relocation sites, and the lack of empowerment programs, are major obstacles to its implementation. Although the regulation normatively includes social welfare rights, such as training, business assistance, and protection from eviction, in practice, these are still not optimally enjoyed by street vendors. This study recommends strengthening the role of local governments and sub-districts, improving cross-sectoral coordination, and adopting a more humane approach to managing street vendors to ensure the fair and sustainable fulfillment of their social welfare rights.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the Big Five Personality traits on the compulsive buying behavior of e-commerce users, with a particular focus on popular platforms such as TikTok Shop, Tokopedia, and Shopee. Compulsive buying behavior, often characterized by excessive and uncontrolled purchasing, has become increasingly prevalent in the digital marketplace, raising concerns regarding consumer well-being and financial management. To investigate this issue, a quantitative approach was employed through a survey distributed to active e-commerce users. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to examine the extent to which personality traits contribute to compulsive buying tendencies. The findings reveal that the Big Five Personality traits collectively explain 42.6% of the variance in compulsive buying behavior, highlighting their substantial role in shaping consumer decision-making. Among the traits, Neuroticism emerges as the most influential predictor, indicating that individuals with higher emotional instability are more likely to engage in compulsive purchasing as a coping mechanism for stress or negative emotions. Extraversion also shows a significant positive relationship, suggesting that socially outgoing individuals may be driven by the appeal of online interactions, trends, and peer recommendations. Similarly, Agreeableness exerts a notable influence, as more agreeable individuals tend to place higher trust in sellers, advertisements, and social endorsements, thereby increasing their vulnerability to compulsive purchases. In contrast, Openness to Experience and Conscientiousness do not exhibit significant effects, implying that creativity, curiosity, or self-discipline are less relevant in predicting compulsive buying within the e-commerce context. These findings carry important implications for both scholars and practitioners. For marketers, understanding the psychological underpinnings of consumer behavior can inform the development of more ethical marketing strategies, while also providing insights into targeted campaigns. At the same time, consumer education programs aimed at enhancing self-control and financial literacy are essential to mitigate the negative consequences of compulsive buying in the digital era.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to determine the tactics used by the principal of SMA Negeri 1 Binjai, Langkat Regency, in maximizing school infrastructure and facilities to encourage innovative learning. Respondents in this paper were the principal and teachers. This study employed a qualitative descriptive methodology. Structured interviews were used as data collection instruments. The results showed that the principal used a priority scale and school quality reports in the field of facilities and infrastructure as the main guidelines in designing strategies for improving school facilities. These strategies include thorough planning, effective budget management, and the involvement of all school members in the decision-making process. These efforts were made to ensure that the available facilities and infrastructure are able to support innovative learning needs and are in line with current developments. The quality of learning innovation at SMA Negeri 1 Binjai is closely related to the principal's strategy in improving facilities and infrastructure. This is because the innovative learning process requires the support of adequate facilities, such as comfortable classrooms, complete laboratories, technology-based learning media, and a conducive learning environment. The effectiveness of the principal's plan to improve facilities and infrastructure is greatly influenced by several factors, including teacher involvement in planning, the principal's managerial skills, the availability of School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds, and collaboration among all school personnel. With good synergy between various parties, it is hoped that innovation in learning can run optimally, thereby improving the quality of education at SMA Negeri 1 Binjai, Langkat Regency.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perilaku dan karakter yang dibentuk dari cerita rakyat yang bersumber dari masyarakat Tidore. Cerita rakyat masyarakat Tidore masih banyak dituturkan dan dipraktekan dalam keseharian sosial budaya masyarakat Tidore sejak dahulu kala hingga saat ini secara turun-temurun sehingga menciptakan norma atau hubungan sosial dan kebiasaan didalamnya. Cerita rakyat seperti Goyoba dan Goheba, Asalnya Leba Mareku Laisa dan Nasihat Putri. Fokus masalah dalam artikel ini yakni pada nilai-nilai yang dimiliki dalam cerita rakyat masyarakat Tidore. Artikel ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif sehingga informasi yang didapatkan dapat dideskripsikan secara teliti dan analitis. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan antara lain observasi, wawancara, pencatatan maupun perekaman dan dokumen-dokumen yang berkaitan dengan adat istiadat dan cerita rakyat masyarakat Tidore. Hasil yang didapatkan yakni bahwa cerita rakyat tersebut memuat nilai-nilai leluhur seperti keberanian, kebijaksanaan, kesetiaan, tanggung jawab, saling menyayangi, religiusitas dan kebersamaan yang kemudian dapat menjadi pedoman moral yang menjadi penuntun sehari-hari dalam berperilaku bagi masyarakat didalam kehidupan sosial, spiritual dan budaya.
