Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of strategic leadership in driving change and innovation in Islamic educational institutions, focusing on the policies and implementation of changes implemented by madrasah heads. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, which involves in-depth interviews with madrasah heads, administrative staff, and senior teachers, as well as direct observation of the learning process and policies implemented. The findings of the study show that madrasah heads play an important role in directing change through policies that focus on improving the quality of technology-based education, despite constraints such as limited resources and facilities. Administrative staff expressed the importance of technology-based management systems to improve operational efficiency, while teachers suggested continuous training in order to optimize the use of technology in learning. Students felt motivated by technology-based changes, despite difficulties in accessing learning materials due to internet access constraints. The study also identified that although there are policies that support innovation, their implementation is still hampered by limited facilities and adequate training. Therefore, improved technology facilities, intensive training for teachers, and increased access for students are needed to ensure successful policy implementation. Overall, this research provides insight into the importance of strategic leadership in managing change and innovation in Islamic education, as well as the challenges that need to be addressed to achieve more quality and sustainable education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relevance of an Islamic worldview in the development of an Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum. The background of this research is based on the challenges of modern education, which tends to be secular and has implications for the weakening integration of Islamic values in the learning process. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature review. Data were obtained from various sources, such as books, journal articles, and the works of Islamic education figures, then analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results indicate that an Islamic worldview plays a strategic role as a philosophical foundation in the development of an Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum, particularly in determining educational objectives, developing materials, selecting learning methods, and evaluating the system. The Islamic worldview, grounded in monotheism, is able to integrate cognitive, affective, and spiritual aspects in education. Thus, developing an Islamic worldview-based PAI curriculum is a solution for shaping students with Islamic character and personality amidst the challenges of modernity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the problems and reconstruct adaptive pedagogical strategies in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning based on the Independent Curriculum at SDN Kutorejo II Pandaan, Pasuruan Regency. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation, and then analyzed through data condensation, data presentation, and verification. The results of the study indicate that the main problems lie in the limited pedagogical competence of teachers in implementing differentiated learning, weaknesses in diagnostic and formative assessments, and minimal integration of technology. On the other hand, adaptive dynamics were found in the form of teachers' efforts to use group discussions, open-ended questions, and activity-based learning, although these efforts were not yet consistent and systematic. Based on these findings, this study reconstructs an adaptive pedagogical strategy that includes strengthening learning differentiation, optimizing formative assessment, contextual integration of technology, and developing dialogical pedagogical interactions. This study has implications for the importance of strengthening teachers' capacity through practice-based training as well as school system support that encourages learning innovation. Thus, this study contributes to the development of an adaptive, contextual, and curriculum-relevant Islamic education (PAI) learning model in accordance with the demands of the Independent Curriculum.

Abstract

Curriculum development and change are inevitable in the education system to meet the demands of the times. However, for teachers who stand in front of their classrooms every morning, curriculum change is like a tectonic earthquake. There's a classic adage often heard cynically in the teachers' lounge: "Change the minister, change the curriculum." This statement reflects fatigue, confusion, and the historical reality of our education system. However, on the other hand, we are also faced with an undeniable fact: the world is changing very rapidly. The Industrial Revolution 4.0, artificial intelligence, and global dynamics demand new competencies from the next generation. The curriculum, as the compass of education, inevitably must be recalibrated. This article examines the phenomenon of dynamic curriculum development in Indonesia, focusing on the challenges faced by teachers, the adaptation process, and its implications for the quality of learning. Based on a literature review and analysis of socio-educational phenomena, it was found that dynamic curriculum changes often create administrative and psychological burdens for teachers in the initial phase. However, with systemic support such as training, learning communities, and educational technology platforms, teachers can transform into more adaptive learning facilitators. This paper concludes that the success of curriculum change depends heavily on teacher readiness and support from the government and the school ecosystem.

Abstract

This article examines the relationship between rationalism, mysticism, and idealism within the philosophy of science as three epistemological approaches shaping human understanding of reality and knowledge. Rationalism emphasizes reason as the foundation of epistemic certainty through logical principles, while mysticism introduces a transrational dimension of knowledge obtained through intuition and spiritual experience. Idealism functions as a philosophical synthesis bridging reason and consciousness by positioning the subject as an active agent in the construction of knowledge. This study employs a qualitative library research method using philosophical and interpretative analysis of Western philosophical works and Islamic epistemological thought. The findings indicate that integrating rationality and spirituality produces an integrative scientific paradigm that transcends positivistic reductionism and fosters dialogue between science, philosophy, and religion. Consequently, mystical rationalism and idealism offer an alternative epistemological foundation for developing a more holistic and humanistic philosophy of science.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum policy in improving the quality of learning at SD Negeri 1 Tugupapak. This study was motivated by the need to improve the quality of education through a more flexible and student-centered learning approach. The method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation involving teachers and school officials. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum contributes positively to improving the quality of learning, particularly in enhancing student engagement, learning flexibility, and the application of contextual learning. However, there are several challenges in its implementation, such as limited teacher readiness, variations in student abilities, and limited learning facilities. Supporting factors such as teacher commitment, institutional support, and adaptive learning strategies also play a role in the success of policy implementation. This study concludes that the effective implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum requires continuous teacher capacity building, the provision of adequate resources, and a collaborative learning environment.
