Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of price, brand image, and lifestyle on purchasing decisions of branded secondhand clothing (thrifting) in Samarinda City. The background of this research is based on the growing interest in thrifting as an alternative fashion choice that is affordable, unique, and environmentally friendly. This study adopts a quantitative approach with purposive sampling. The sample consisted of 108 respondents who have purchased branded secondhand clothing from several popular thrift stores in Samarinda. Data were collected through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. The data analysis was conducted using SPSS version 24, involving validity and reliability tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination. The results show that partially, price and brand image do not have a significant effect on purchasing decisions. However, lifestyle has a significant effect on purchasing decisions. Simultaneously, price, brand image, and lifestyle have a significant influence on consumers' decisions to purchase branded secondhand clothing in Samarinda. These findings indicate that consumers' lifestyle—particularly in terms of fashion preferences and the desire for uniqueness—plays a dominant role in influencing purchasing decisions in the context of thrifting.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze service innovation strategies through the “SiKompak” application in supporting sustainable business performance at PERUMDAM Tirta Kencana, Regional Service Unit 1, Samarinda City. The focus includes evaluating the application's usefulness in enhancing service delivery and identifying internal and external factors to formulate strategies that influence business sustainability. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with an interactive analysis model by Miles and Huberman, which involves data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with five informants from various organizational levels, providing a comprehensive perspective on the application’s implementation. IFAS and EFAS analyses were conducted to develop the SWOT matrix. The findings show that SiKompak contributes positively to service effectiveness and employee performance. The application is operationally integrated, supported by adequate devices and relevant features, thereby improving efficiency, data accuracy, and response speed to customer complaints. From a sustainability perspective, SiKompak promotes economic efficiency, equitable workload distribution, and reduction of physical waste. However, technical challenges such as network disruptions and data synchronization still need to be addressed. The SWOT analysis places the innovation strategy of SiKompak in Quadrant II, recommending a defensive diversification strategy that focuses on strengthening internal capacity to address external challenges and ensure long-term sustainability. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of digital innovation strategies with a sustainability approach, as well as the use of a multi-level interview method within the organization.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of the suboptimal operation of the Lembursitu Market in Sukabumi City which has been revitalized through the construction of the Jabar Juara People's Market which was inaugurated in August 2022 and has met the Indonesian National Standard (SNI 8152:2021). However, its implementation has not had a significant positive impact. The current market conditions are quiet and have not operated optimally, resulting in the revocation of the SNI label for the Lembursitu Market in Sukabumi City in 2023. Field findings show that many kiosks are unoccupied, market activity is minimal and the number of visitors is still low. Meanwhile, the condition of the terminal is also less supportive because the infrastructure is chaotic and unorganized. This condition indicates an imbalance in governance and a lack of synergy between the two public facilities. This study aims to examine the opportunities for integration of the Lembursitu Market and Terminal through a collaborative governance approach. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that meeting physical standards alone is not enough without being supported by effective market and terminal management. To optimize the integrated function of the market and terminal, collaborative cooperation between various parties is needed. By applying the principles of collaborative governance Ansell & Gash (2008), more effective integration can be achieved through open dialogue, increased trust between actors, and institutional design that supports sustainability between the market and the terminal. This study also highlights the importance of involving informal stakeholders such as traders, public transportation drivers who have proven to be important in forming a practical and sustainable integration model.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the representation of ecotourism of the Wan Abdul Rachman Forest Park (Tahura) on social media as part of a digital communication strategy in developing sustainable ecotourism. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a digital content analysis approach. Data were collected through the Brand24 and Google Trends platforms during the period March to June 2025. The results of the analysis show that mentions of Tahura on social media are still very limited and all come from non-social media such as news portals and scientific repositories. The sentiment that emerged was neutral, without the involvement of influencers or prominent digital campaigns. Meanwhile, Google Trends data shows that search interest in Tahura is very low and was only recorded in Lampung Province, with one spike in searches during the analysis period. This finding reflects that the digital presence of Tahura Wan Abdul Rachman is still minimal, both in the form of social media discussions and online searches, and is not yet widespread geographically.

Abstract

Alangkah Lucunya Negeri Ini (ALNI) describe social problems about street children that occur in Indonesia. The film attempts to construct street children as marginalized groups, through discourses on social discrimination, verbal and non-verbal violence, and the role of crime. The role shown by street children in the ALNI film provides a reflection related to the lives of former street children in the past. Former street children are in a marginalized position and get negative stigma in social interaction.. The purpose of this study is to see, understand, and explore how former street children response, expression, comment, or interpret meaning in watching the ALNI film played by the street child. This study uses the reception method proposed by Stuart Hall, namely the concept of dominant hegemony, negotiation, and opposition. The results showed that in addition to the appearance of pleasure in watching through the comedy genre in film, pleasure also displayed distortions due to verbal and non-verbal violence displayed in the ALNI film. The element of pleausure in the watch activity is done by expressing happiness, sadness, and frustration when watching a film. Some informants explained the film's presence as a form of effort to boost the development of the lives of street children and as a motivation for street children to put awareness of the educational and religious construction contained in the film. However, the construction of crime aimed at street children in the film also creates ambivalence and contradiction, as a result of the experience of society stigma that is increasingly inherent in the lives of street children. The construction of the film in building the role of street children also provides personal closeness in remembering street children who were present in life in the past.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the attractiveness of food vlogger content on purchasing decisions of MSME products, as well as the role of viral marketing as a mediating variable on TikTok users in Sukabumi City. The background of this study is based on the phenomenon of the increasing use of social media, especially TikTok, as a means ofpromoting MSME products through collaboration with food vloggers. The method used is quantitative with a descriptive and associative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through online questionnaires distributed to 145 respondents who met certain criteria. Data analysis used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) with the help of SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results of the study show that the attractiveness of content has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, both directly and indirectly through viral marketing. Viral marketing has been shown to mediate the relationship between the attractiveness of content and purchasing decisions, which means that interesting content can increase the likelihood of content spreading virally, and ultimately influence consumer purchasing decisions. These findings indicate that content-based marketing strategies and social media have an important role in supporting the promotion of MSME products. This study provides theoretical implications in the development of digital marketing literature as well as practical recommendations for MSMEs and content creators to optimize the potential of social media in reaching consumers more effectively.

Abstract

This research explores the influence of social media influencer credibility, focusing on Tasya Farasya, on purchase intention toward skincare products, with brand image as a mediating variable. The study was conducted among female TikTok users in Sukabumi, aged 13 to 45, who had never used but were aware of the skincare brand Glad2Glow (G2G). Using a quantitative approach and associative method, 150 respondents were selected through purposive sampling. Data was collected via an online questionnaire and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The study found that influencer credibility, consisting of expertise, trustworthiness, and attractiveness, has a significant and positive effect on brand image and purchase intention. Moreover, brand image was proven to significantly mediate the relationship between influencer credibility and purchase intention. This indicates that a credible influencer not only directly influences consumer buying interest but also enhances the perceived image of the brand, which further motivates purchasing decisions. The research highlights the vital role of credible influencers in digital marketing strategies. When influencers are perceived as knowledgeable, trustworthy, and appealing, they can build a strong brand image that positively influences consumer behavior. These findings are relevant for marketers and businesses in optimizing influencer marketing campaigns, especially in the beauty and skincare industry where consumer trust and brand perception play critical roles in purchasing decisions. Overall, the study contributes both theoretically and practically by offering insights into the mechanisms through which influencer credibility influences consumer intention through brand image formation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of destination image on revisit intention, with the impression of tourist experience as a mediating variable, using Goalpara Tea Park in Sukabumi as the case study. As a newly established tourist destination, Goalpara Tea Park has attracted attention for its natural beauty and modern facilities. However, fluctuations in visitor numbers suggest that not all tourists are interested in returning. This study employs a quantitative approach with a total sample of 135 respondents who had previously visited the site. Data was collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS) method. The results show that destination image has a significant positive effect on both revisit intention and the impression of tourist experience. Furthermore, the impression of tourist experience significantly mediates the relationship between destination image and revisit intention. This indicates that a strong and positive destination image can enhance the quality of tourist experiences, which in turn increases the likelihood of tourists returning in the future. The findings emphasize the importance of aligning promotional content with actual on-site experiences to avoid visitor disappointment. The study provides both theoretical contributions to consumer behavior and marketing literature and practical recommendations for tourism managers inimproving service quality and strategic image-building efforts. Enhancing both the physical and emotional aspects of the tourist journey is vital in fostering lasting impressions and loyalty among visitors

Abstract

Business legality is an important foundation in strengthening the position of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) amid the ever-evolving digital economy ecosystem and public policies. However, the low rate of Business Identification Number (NIB) ownership among MSME operators remains a challenge in many regions. This study aims to analyze the strategies employed by the Investment and Integrated One-Stop Service Agency (DPMPTSP) of Sukabumi City in promoting systematic and sustainable increases in NIB ownership. The approach used is descriptive qualitative, employing Everett Rogers' innovation diffusion theory as the analytical framework, encompassing four main dimensions: innovation, communication channels, time, and social systems. The research findings indicate that public service innovations such as the SI JIMAT BOSS program (Ready to Pick Up Permits in the Community Together with OSS) have successfully brought licensing services directly to the community through a proactive approach. The effectiveness of this strategy is reflected in the achievement of 97.47% of SMEs in Sukabumi City having obtained an NIB by 2024. In addition to reducing service time, the DPMPTSP has maximized multi-platform communication channels and fostered cross-sectoral collaboration. These results indicate that adaptive, participatory, and locally-driven strategies can accelerate business legalization and strengthen the competitiveness of SMEs. This study provides practical contributions as a best practice reference for inclusive and innovation-based local licensing service management. Keywords: strategy, SMEs, NIB, DPMPTSP Sukabumi City, Innovation Diffusion, Public Services, Best Practice.
