Abstract

The influence of globalization in today's industry has increased the level of competition between companies, making them increasingly fierce and competitive. A company's success is often measured by the quality of the products it produces. Total Quality Management (TQM) is an ongoing process that aims to achieve better quality standards in meeting customer needs. This study aims to analyze the application of Total Quality Management (TQM) in maintaining product quality and its impact on consumer satisfaction at RGB Printing in Samarinda. TQM is a management approach that focuses on overall quality improvement through continuous improvement, involvement of all members of the organization, and orientation to customer satisfaction. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, where data is collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that the implementation of TQM in RGB Printing involves strict supervision of the production process, improving the quality of raw materials, and training employees regularly. In addition, the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) method is used to ensure that each stage of production runs according to the standards that have been set. The impact of the implementation of TQM on product quality can be seen from the decrease in product defects and the improvement of mold quality. In addition, the implementation of TQM also has a positive impact on consumer satisfaction, which is reflected in the increase in the number of repeat customers and the reduction in complaints about print results. Overall, this study emphasizes that TQM strategies that are consistently applied can increase the company's competitiveness through improved product quality and more optimal customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This research is a gender analysis study of women’s agency in the Open Defecation Free (ODF) campaign, conducted by the first healthcare facility for the community, namely the Community Health Centre (pusat kesehatan masyarakat  or puskesmas) in Bandar Lampung City. ODF campaign officers are sanitarians and health promotion officers, most of whom are women. The ODF village program is a village where all people defecate in healthy latrines. The program is one of the pillars of the community-based total sanitation (Sanitasi Total Berbasis Masyarakat-STBM) policy, as an effort to realize the primary service transformation in the health sector launched by the Government of Indonesia since 2022. The descriptive qualitative research explores the experiences that include the contributions and challenges faced by women’s agency as sanitarians and health promotion officers in the ODF campaign. The researcher employed Naila Kabeer’s agency theory, which posits that agency is the ability to make decisions derived from cognitive processes, reflection, and analysis associated with the power within. The agency operates through the resources of a supportive social, political, and economic structure to shape the effectiveness of its transformative agency. The study demonstrates that political, social, and economic resources can support women’s agency among sanitarians and health promotion officers in the ODF campaign, thereby changing the construction of gender bias in the sanitation sector.

Abstract

This study explores how work-life balance (WLB) affects employee work motivation, with burnout considered as a mediating variable. The research was conducted at PT. Charoen Pokphand Jaya Farm, a company in the agribusiness sector. The background of this study lies in the observation that some employees experience difficulties in maintaining motivation due to stress from workload and imbalance between work and personal life. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 133 employees and analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 26. The results show that work-life balance has a significant positive effect on motivation, while burnout has a significant positive effect on motivation. Additionally, burnout partially mediates the relationship between work-life balance and motivation. This means that a good balance between personal life and work can reduce burnout, which in turn helps maintain or increase employee motivation. The findings contribute to understanding how HR management can create healthier work environments in the agribusiness sector, especially through supportive policies that promote work-life balance.

Abstract

This Study aims to determine the influence of Work Environment, Employee Retention and Perceived Fairness on Perceived Organizational Support (POS) on GrabBike partners in Sukabumi, Indonesia. As part of the growing gig economy, online motorcycle taxi drivers operate under a flexible and independent work structure, often without the benefits and protections of formal employment. Understanding what influences their perception of organizational support is critical to improving engagement, satisfaction, and long-term cooperation between drivers and platform providers. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method of 97 respondents who are active GrabBike partners in the Sukabumi area. Data was collected using a closed questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression through the SPSS version 26 program. The results of the analysis show that Work Environment, Employee Retention and Perceived Fairness simultaneously have a significant effecton Perceived Organizational Support (POS). However, partially, Work Environment and Perceived Fairness have a positive and significant effect on Perceived Organizational Support (POS), while Employee Retention does not show a significant effect.  The study highlights the importance of a supportive and comfortable work environment, as well as fair treatment in task allocation and compensation systems. These elements enhance the drivers' sense of belonging and trust toward the platform. Conversely, traditional retention strategies may not be as impactful in the gig economy, where work is often viewed as temporary or supplemental. The findings offer practical implications for digital platforms aiming to strengthen human resources and partner loyalty. Companies like Grab are encouraged to invest in transparent communication, flexible benefit schemes, and fair operational policies. This study contributes to the broader understanding of human resource manajement (HRM) in non-traditional employment sectors and aligns with the IICIS 2025 theme of “Food Security and Strengthening Human Resources.”

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of job insecurity, workload, and job stress on turnover intention among employees at Hermina Hospital Sukabumi. The rising turnover rate in the healthcare sector, especially in hospitals like Hermina, which has surpassed its organizational turnover target of 6%, has raised concerns regarding employee retention and organizational sustainability. Turnover intention is a critical issue as it often leads to higher recruitment costs, loss of experienced personnel, and decreased service quality, particularly in healthcare settings where employee consistency is vital. Therefore, understanding the underlying psychological and organizational factors influencing turnover intention becomes essential. This research applies a quantitative approach with a survey method to examine the relationship between job insecurity, workload, and job stress with turnover intention. Data were collected from 80 employees using a structured, closed-ended questionnaire and analyzed through multiple linear regression using SPSS software. The theoretical framework integrates concepts from human resource management, organizational behavior, and psychological stress theory. The findings reveal that job insecurity and workload positively and significantly influence turnover intention, meaning that employees who perceive instability in their jobs and experience high work demands are more likely to consider leaving the organization. Interestingly, job stress shows a negative yet significant effect, implying that stress, although present, might lead to adaptation rather than resignation. This unexpected result suggests that not all stress is detrimental, and some employees may develop coping mechanisms that allow them to remain in their roles. Overall, the study emphasizes the importance of managerial strategies to enhance job stability and maintain balanced workloads in hospital environments. It also calls attention to the nuanced role of stress, advocating for workplace support systems that help employees manage pressure without triggering withdrawal behaviors. This research contributes valuable insights into employee retention efforts within Indonesia’s healthcare industry.

Abstract

The digital revolution has encouraged companies to carry out technological transformation to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. However, the implementation of digitalization does not always have a direct impact on improving employee performance. This study aims to analyze the effect of digitalization skills on employee performance with readiness to change as a mediating variable at PT Sari Alam Sukabumi. The research method used is quantitative with a sample size of 122 respondents. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires distributed to employees, and data analysis techniques employed Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results showed that digitalization skills have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. In addition, readiness to change has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Furthermore, the study found that readiness to change successfully mediates the relationship between digitalization skills and employee performance. This indicates that employees who possess strong digital competencies and are ready to adapt to organizational changes are more likely to demonstrate improved performance. These findings highlight the importance of developing digital skills and fostering a culture of change readiness to support successful digital transformation in organizations.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) remains a global health challenge, including in Indonesia, with the number of cases continuing to increase in various regions, including Sukabumi City. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of tuberculosis (TB) prevention policies at Puskesmas Selabatu in Sukabumi City using Daniel Stufflebeam's CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation theory. This descriptive qualitative research collected data through interviews with five key informants, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the TB control policy has been implemented with a comprehensive approach, but still faces several challenges. The results showed that tuberculosis (TB) prevention at the Selabatu Health Center was under regulations, namely Ministry of Health Regulation No. 67 of 2016 and Presidential Regulation No. 67 of 2021 and supported by the Regional Budget (APBD) and Health Operational Assistance (BOK). However, there are several obstacles in implementation, such as the capacity of medical personnel that is not yet optimal, a less effective monitoring system, and limited community education. Lack of training of TB cadres and patient monitoring that only relies on WhatsApp groups and monthly control has led to many patients being inconsistent in treatment. In addition, supporting facilities such as rapid molecular testing (TCM) are not yet available, resulting in slow early diagnosis and increasing the risk of treatment dropout. However, the DOTS approach and the active role of TB cadres helped improve patient adherence. Community participation is generally low, but if properly empowered, local communities have great potential in assisting with education, early detection, and patient monitoring. Cross-sector collaboration between Puskesmas, the Health Office, local government, and professional organizations is also important in strengthening service coordination and improving synergy in TB program implementation.
