Abstract

The existence of a university library is very important in an effort to improve the quality and human resources, both lecturers, employees and students, as well as the life and splendor of scientific activities in universities very much depends on the health of the existing library. The Medica Farma Husada Mataram Polytechnic Library as a means of supporting education, hopes to make a major contribution to the development and progress of the academic community. If seen from the graph of the development of the study program followed by the increase in the number of students, it must also be followed by changes and development of the library.The purpose of writing this article is to find out a review of the pattern of development of the Medica Farma Husada Mataram polytechnic library.The method used in this paper is a descriptive research model because descriptive research can be interpreted as a problem solving process that is investigated by describing the current state of the subject and object of research based on the facts that appear or as they are.The results of the study show that the Medica Farma Husada Mataram Polytechnic Library has good service performance which is guided by the existence of user services which have a philosophy of being more than just an effort to provide services when needed by the user (client-respondencess), more than that, they always try to provide guidance services by providing library materials. to be read by the user (client-focus). In general, procurement and collection development activities are still the same as those carried out by other universities that have been running so far. This activity does not involve many parties such as students, lecturers, employees, so that sometimes collections are not utilized by users. In accordance with the functions and duties of the library as a collector, manager, preservation and dissemination of information, the Medica Farma Husada Mataram Polytechnic Library has its own budget and policies in managing the library in accordance with the library organizational structure of the Medica Farma Husada Mataram Polytechnic library. Total Human Resources 3 (three) people, 2 people who have qualifications in the field of libraries. The Medica Farma Husada Mataram Polytechnic Library has not been directed to user oriented. This can be seen by the hours of service that are not adapted to the teaching and learning process, do not involve students in the selection and procurement of collections, and the available budget is not sufficient.The conclusion is that the pattern of developing the Medica Farma Husada Mataram Polytechnic library has been carried out quite well, this can be seen by the efforts made by librarians in service, namely service not only when students visit the library, but also at certain times and at certain times the librarian provides guidance to each student both in groups and during student orientation. The availability of the library's micro organizational structure management is also part of the library's development efforts in terms of library management and clarity of tasks and functions of the library at the Politeknik Medica Farma Hsuada Mataram. Library automation already exists, namely by using the Slim application so that it is easier and more effective in serving students. Human Resources already has a professional staff in the field of libraries.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif berdasarkan studi pustaka untuk mengumpulkan dan menganalisis data dari berbagai sumber pustaka yang berkaitan dengan UI dan UX. Untuk penelitian UI pada SLiMS, observasi virtual digunakan dengan menginstal dan menggunakannya serta mengamati perpustakaan yang telah mengadopsi SLiMS. Sedangkan metode pengumpulan data UX pada aplikasi SLiMS menggunakan metode kuantitatif melalui kuisioner yang diisi oleh mahasiswa yang menggunakan aplikasi SLiMS. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa antarmuka SLiMS menawarkan tampilan yang bersih, rapi, dan mudah dinavigasi, memberikan pengalaman pengguna yang mudah dan intuitif. Fitur-fitur antarmuka seperti tampilan beranda, halaman pencarian buku, tampilan detail buku, formulir peminjaman buku, halaman anggota, dan laporan koleksi memberikan informasi lengkap dan bermanfaat bagi pengguna. Meskipun mayoritas pengguna menyukai antarmuka SLiMS, disarankan agar pengembang menyediakan petunjuk atau panduan yang lebih sederhana dan mudah diakses untuk fitur yang dianggap sulit dipahami oleh beberapa pengguna. Responsivitas antarmuka juga perlu ditingkatkan, terutama saat memuat halaman dan mengisi formulir, untuk memastikan pengalaman pengguna yang lebih baik. Pemeliharaan dan pembaruan secara berkala juga dianjurkan untuk menjaga SLiMS selalu berjalan dengan baik dan mengikuti perkembangan teknologi terbaru.

Abstract

This study describes the process of digital preservation at the Tarumanagara University Library Services in the Field of Psychology. The aim is to provide an overview of how digital preservation is part of the resilience strategy of the Tarumanagara University Library Services in the Field of Psychology during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Serving collections of scientific works online with digital collection sources is a way that the Tarumanagara University Library Services in the Field of Psychology does during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The availability of digital collections is the key to making online services possible. Interestingly, this digital preservation which has been carried out since 2018 has helped the Tarumanagara University Library Services in the field of Psychology survive and adapt and can still serve users during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This study uses a case study approach with a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection was carried out based on observation and documentation. Data analysis uses the theory of Miles and Huberman's Model which consists of three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions which are used to explain the results of research systematically. The results found in this study are the motive for digital preservation due to obsolescence and damage to collections of scientific works in the form of Compact Disks (CDs). Another reason is to adapt to technological developments. The form of digital preservation that is carried out is in the form of refreshing and is included in the category of long-term preservation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh fasilitas ruang baca terhadap minat berkunjung pemustaka di Perpustakaan Kota Bogor. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan metode kuantitatif deskriptif menggunakan kuisioner. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah pemustaka perpustakaan Kota Bogor pada bulan Januari – Oktober 2023 sejumlah 85.745 orang. Pengambilan sampel dipilih menggunakan metode simple random sampling dengan penerapan rumus Slovin sehingga diperoleh 100 orang responden. Pengukuran menggunakan skala Likert 1 hingga 5 yang digunakan untuk menilai respon para responden. Hasil uji reabilitas pada penelitian ini menggunakan aplikasi Jamovi, dengan nilai variabel X sebesar 0.761 dan variabel Y sebesar 0.835. Hal ini menunjukkan reabilitas pada penelitian ini cukup memuaskan. Hasil uji validitas menunjukkan bahwa kedua variabel sudah valid. Nilai-nilai validitas variabel X berturut-turut sebesar 0.559, 0.520, 0.481, 0.675, 0.684, 0.528, 0.664, 0.643, dan 0.654. Nilai validitas yang cukup tinggi juga diperoleh pada veriabel Y dengan nilai-nilai validitas berturut-turut sebesar 0.709, 0.811, 0.781, 0.800, dan 0.780. Uji korelasi pada penelitian ini menunjukkan nilai korelasi 0.523 yang berarti korelasi positif dan bersifat sedang. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pada fasilitas ruang baca dengan minat berkunjung pemustaka di perpustakaan kota Bogor.

Abstract

The development of scientific journals has rapidly progressed in recent times, serving as a platform for publishing scientific articles derived from research conducted by scholars. The abundance of published articles has led to the emergence of new fields of study, one of which is bibliometrics. The presence of bibliometrics facilitates the measurement of the development of scientific journals. This research aims to identify scientific articles published through the Journal of Information and Library Studies from 2019 to 2023, using bibliometric analysis. The data collection method employed in this study involves observing and recording information about the number of articles, the number of authors, citation counts, collaboration and single-authorship. The data analysis method utilizes bibliometric analysis techniques, calculating values using the Subramanyam formula to determine the level of author collaboration. Lotka's Law is employed to measure author productivity, and the impact factor is used to assess journal quality. The research findings indicate that within the 2019-2023 timeframe, the Journal of Information and Library Studies has produced 66 articles with a total of 172 contributing authors. The calculation of the author collaboration level resulted in a value of C equal to 0.803. Author productivity within the Journal of Information and Library Studies for the years 2019-2023, as calculated based on Lotka's Law, yielded a value of n = 3.033 with C = 0.8539. The impact factor of the Journal of Information and Library Studies is 7.136, indicating that the journal holds significant quality and influence for the development of a particular field of knowledge.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Literacy is a reading and writing skill that is very important in the learning process. It is the initial ability that every student must have which will affect achievement and the subsequent learning process. However, the reality is that not many children with special needs are able to literate well. With this, the need for support and assistance both at school and at home, as well as providing media that can help and increase students' attractiveness in literacy / learning, because of their physical and motor conditions which are one of the obstacles in every literacy / learning process.The purpose of this study is to determine the involvement of parents in developing the literacy skills of students with special needs in SLB-C Negeri Tulungagung district. This research uses a qualitative approach and type of case study research by conducting research at SLB-C Negeri Tulungagung. The research subjects consisted of 8 informants, 6 informants from guardians of elementary school students and 2 informants from elementary school teachers at SLB-C Negeri Tulungagung. Data collection was obtained from observation, documentation, and interviews. Analysis with data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. From the research that has been done, the research findings reveal three findings, namely: (1).Parents of students with special needs are very involved in every student's literacy / learning activities both at home and at school. (2).Students are able to interact with fellow friends in the neighborhood. (3) During school learning, students are able to literate and learn with the assistance and direction of the teacher. Keywords: Parental Involvement, Literacy, Students with Special Needs.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Perpustakaan perguruan tinggi sebagai tempat penyedia informasi bagi civitas akademika dituntut untuk memudahkan pemustaka dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi. Perpustakaan yang memadai yaitu perpustakaan yang mampu mengelola seluruh sumber informasi atau seluruh koleksi yang tersedia diperpustakaan khususnya koleksi grey literature tugas akhir mahasiswa. Pengelolaan koleksi perpustakaan yang baik akan memudahkan pemustaka dalam menelusur sumber informasi yang dibutuhkan.Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengelolaan grey literature tugas akhir mahasiswa di Perpustakaan Universitas Bhinneka PGRI Tulungagung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif berlokasi di perpustakaan UBHI Tulungagung, informan pada penelitian ini yaitu kepala unit perpustakaan dan pustakawan perpustakaan UBHI Tulungagung. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu pengelolaan grey literature tugas akhir mahasiswa di perpustakaan UBHI Tulungagung terdiri dari kegiatan inventarisasi, klasifikasi, labelling, dan shelving. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan cukup baik akan tetapi tidak terdapat edukasi maupun proses khusus dalam sarana temu kembali informasi koleksi grey literature tugas akhir mahasiswa oleh pemustaka. Selain hal tersebut tidak adanya nomor panggil (Call number ) pada koleksi grey literature membuat proses temu kembali relatif lebih lama. Sehingga hal tersebut membuat pemustaka kesulitan dalam menemukan kembali koleksi grey literature tugas akhir mahasiswa karena harus mencari koleksi yang dibutuhkan satu persatu. Manfaat dari penelitian ini dapat memberikan pengetahuan terkait pengelolaan grey literature dan hasil penelitian dapat dijadikan evaluasi untuk memperbaiki dan memaksimalkan kualitas perpustakaan terkait pengelolaan grey literatutre tugas akhir. Abstract

Nowadays, libraries face many problems. Due to the development of information technology that is growing rapidly, so that this phenomenon not only makes it easier for humans to get information but also becomes a threat to the extinction of libraries. Therefore, every library must have a strategy to maintain the function of the library as an information provider institution by the public. One way is to apply the 4P marketing mix (Price, Product, Place and Promotion) such as the Riau Islamic University library which has implemented the concept.The purpose of this study was to analyze the information mix as an information marketing strategy at the Riau Islamic University library. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a case study approach.Data was collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis.The participants of this research consisted of librarians and users who were selected purposively.The results showed that the information mix at the Riau Islamic University library included four main components, namely information promotion, information distribution, information content, and user interaction.Information promotion involves the use of social media, websites, and electronic newsletters to disseminate information about library services and resources.

Abstract

Information is a basic need in student life which is needed, of course, of a scientific nature. In order to fulfill this information, students are required to have information literacy skills. This is done to make it easier for students to collect and find information according to their needs. This research aims to determine the level of information literacy of Islamic Library and Information Science students at UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung using ACRL (Association of College and Research Libraries) standards. This type of research uses descriptive with a quantitative approach. The population in this study was 167 Islamic Library and Information Science students at UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung Class of 2020 and 2021. The sampling technique used was nonprobability sampling with the Slovin formula so that 63 samples were obtained. The data analysis technique is by looking for percentages using the SPSS version 26 program. The results of the research show that Islamic Library and Information Science students at UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung are based on ACRL standards with 5 indicators, namely determining the nature and scope of information needed, accessing information effectively and efficient, evaluating information and its sources critically, using information for specific purposes, understanding economic, legal and social aspects related to the use of information, getting a final score of 4.04, which means that the level of information literacy skills is good

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the efforts of the library in increasing students' reading interest at Aisyiah Taman Harapan Curup Elementary School. The research analyzes various strategies implemented by the library to facilitate and develop reading habits among students. The findings show that students have a very high interest in reading, which is influenced by regular teaching activities in the library managed by teachers and librarians. These activities include three scheduled library visits each day, allowing students to consistently engage in reading. Specific efforts include book analysis competitions with prizes to motivate students and collaboration with the local library to expand access to various book collections. However, the study also identifies the need for reorganizing the library space and updating the service system to enhance comfort and accessibility for users. Organizing books by category is also recommended to make searching easier. These findings provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of library methods in promoting reading interest and offer recommendations for further development
