Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konten YouTube Short pada sosial media YouTube terhadap minat baca siswa kelas 6 SD Negeri di Kecamatan Penajam Kabupaten Penajam Paser Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 60 siswa kelas 6 SD Negeri di Kecamatan Penajam. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 60 siswa kelas 6 SD Negeri kelas 6 Kecamatan Penajam dam terbagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen yang menonton konten YouTube Short selama satu minggu dan kelompok kontrol yang tidak menonton konten YouTube Short. Minat baca siswa kelas 6 SD Negeri Kecamatan diukur menggunakan skala Likert yang terdiri dari 10 pernyataan. Data yang diperoleh nantinya dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif dan inferensial. Analisis deskriptif digunakan untuk menggambarkan karakteristik subjek penelitian dan hasil pengukuran variabel penelitian. Sedangkan analisis inferensial digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian dengan menggunakan uji regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara minat baca siswa yang menonton konten YouTube Short dengan tidak menonton. Nilai rata-rata minat baca siswa yang menonton konten YouTube Short adalah 4,2, sedangkan nilai rata-rata minat baca siswa yang tidak menonton konten YouTube Short adalah 3,6. Nilai t hitung adalah 2,54, yang lebih besar dari nilai t tabel pada taraf signifikansi 0,05 dengan derajat kebebasan 58, yaitu 2,00. Nilai p-value adalah 0,014, yang lebih kecil dari 0,05. Hal ini berarti hipotesis penelitian yang menyatakan bahwa ada pengaruh positif konten YouTube Short terhadap minat baca siswa diterima. Konten YouTube Short dapat menjadi salah satu media yang meningkatkan minat baca siswa kelas 6 SD Negeri kecamatan Penajam Kabupaten Penajam Paser Utara. Oleh karena itu, konten YouTube Short dapat menjadi alternatif yang dapat digunakan oleh guru dan orang tua untuk meningkatkan minat baca siswa.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study explores the application of text mining algorithms to analyze book reviews on social media with the goal of improving library services. Analyzing 5,000 book reviews revealed that the majority are positive, particularly for genres like science fiction and fantasy. Text classification identified key themes in reviews, such as character development, plot, and writing quality, with character development being the most prominent. Entity extraction highlighted frequently mentioned authors and books, indicating reader interest in specific works. These findings suggest that the application of text mining algorithms can assist libraries in updating their collections, aligning with reader preferences, and designing more relevant programs. This data-driven approach contributes to enhancing library service efficiency and advancing information technology in collection management. Keywords: text mining, book reviews, sentiment analysis, libraries, collection development ABSTRAK Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi penerapan algoritma text mining untuk menganalisis ulasan buku di media sosial dengan tujuan meningkatkan layanan perpustakaan. Melalui analisis terhadap 5.000 ulasan buku, ditemukan bahwa mayoritas ulasan bersifat positif, terutama untuk genre fiksi ilmiah dan fantasi. Klasifikasi teks mengidentifikasi tema utama dalam ulasan, yaitu pengembangan karakter, alur cerita, dan kualitas penulisan, dengan pengembangan karakter sebagai tema yang paling dominan. Ekstraksi entitas mengungkapkan penulis dan buku yang sering disebutkan, menunjukkan minat pembaca terhadap karya-karya tertentu. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan algoritma text mining dapat membantu perpustakaan dalam memperbarui koleksi, menyesuaikan dengan preferensi pembaca, dan merancang program yang lebih relevan. Pendekatan berbasis data ini berkontribusi pada peningkatan efisiensi layanan perpustakaan dan kemajuan teknologi informasi dalam pengelolaan koleksi. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the relationship between Instagram book review content presented by the @Meisyasallwa account and the reading interest of generation Z. Generation Z, who grew up in the digital era, tends to rely on social media to get information, including in terms of literacy. Book review content presented with an attractive visual style and effective storytelling is expected to increase their reading interest. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational method to measure the relationship between the independent variables, namely Instagram book review content, and the dependent variable, namely the reading interest of generation Z. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire distributed to 100 respondents, who were followers of the @Meisyasallwa account. The sampling technique used the purposive sampling method, with the criteria of followers who had an interest in book content. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical tests, validity tests, reliability tests, and Pearson Product Moment correlation tests to measure the strength of the relationship between variables. The results of the study showed a positive and significant relationship between book review content on Instagram @Meisyasallwa and the reading interest of generation Z. This is indicated by a Pearson correlation value of 0.605 and a significance value of 0.000. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the hypothesis in this study is accepted because the significance value is <0.05 so that it is proven that there is a relationship between the content of the Instagram book review @meisyasallwa and the reading interest of generation Z. The conclusion of this study is that social media, especially Instagram, can be an effective tool for building and increasing reading interest among the younger generation, if used with the right approach. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara konten Instagram ulasan buku yang disajikan oleh akun @Meisyasallwa dengan minat baca generasi Z. Generasi Z, yang tumbuh di era digital, cenderung mengandalkan media sosial untuk mendapatkan informasi, termasuk dalam hal literasi. Konten ulasan buku yang disajikan dengan gaya visual menarik dan storytelling yang efektif diharapkan mampu meningkatkan minat baca mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional untuk mengukur hubungan antara variabel bebas, yaitu konten Instagram ulasan buku, dan variabel terikat, yaitu minat baca generasi Z. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 100 responden, yang merupakan followers akun @Meisyasallwa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling, dengan kriteria followers yang memiliki ketertarikan pada konten buku. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik deskriptif, uji validitas, reliabilitas, serta uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment untuk mengukur kekuatan hubungan antar variabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif dan signifikan antara konten ulasan buku di Instagram @Meisyasallwa dan minat baca generasi Z. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan dengan nilai pearson correlation sebesar 0,605 dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis dalam penelitian ini diterima karena nilai signifikansi <0,05 sehingga terbukti terdapat hubungan antara konten Instagram review buku @meisyasallwa terhadap minat baca generasi Z. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa media sosial, khususnya Instagram, dapat menjadi alat yang efektif untuk membangun dan meningkatkan minat baca di kalangan generasi muda, jika digunakan dengan pendekatan yang tepat. Abstract

Libraries must carry out essential activities such as preservation and conservation, but in practice, various obstacles arise that prevent them from running smoothly. This study seeks to describe efforts to maintain and protect library items at the Bojonegoro University Library, as well as the challenges associated with carrying out these operations. This study employs descriptive research methodologies and a qualitative approach. Researchers analyzed data gathered through firsthand observations, interviews, and documentation. The Miles and Huberman model is used in the data analysis technique, namely for data reduction, data display, and conclusion drafting. Meanwhile, data veracity is checked using triangulation techniques. According to the study's findings, preservation and conservation actions such as binding, changing covers, re-covering, and digitalization media to the thesis collection were carried out at Bojonegoro University Library. Maintain cleanliness and control room humidity, supply plastic covers for all library materials. The issues encountered include a lack of facilities, room availability, a limited budget, and a shortage of human resources. Fumigation activities have never been carried out due to a lack of funds and qualified staff

Abstract

The development of digital information is entering the information era which is growing very rapidly, giving rise to many benefits and polemics in society, a very important ability to have is digital literacy, one of the efforts to increase digital literacy in society carried out by libraries is through the Digital Reading Corner innovation which is expected to be used to improve people's digital literacy skills. The research aims to determine the use of Digital Reading Corners as a means of increasing digital literacy in the Batu City Library and Archives Service. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods with a grounded theory study approach. Data collection consists of observations and in-depth interviews with Digital Reading Pojok users. The data obtained was then analyzed using interactive data analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results of the research show that the use of Digital Reading Corners in Batu City is quite good, but still needs to be improved, shown by the user's ability to master four elements of digital literacy skills, namely basic digital literacy skills, background information knowledge, main competencies in the field of ICT, attitudes and user perspective.

Abstract

School library management is basically a process of optimizing human, material, and budgetary contributions to achieve library goals. The purpose of this study is to describe the management of the Ceria library at SMA N 1 Rejang Lebong, the specific purpose of which is to find out how the implementation of the management function in the cheerful library at SMA N 1 Rejang Lebong starts from planning, organizing, implementing (actuating), controlling which is applied in the cheerful library of SMA N 1 Rejang Lebong. This research method the author uses a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach to find out how the implementation of library management in the cheerful library of SMA N 1 Rejang Lebong. The subject of this research is the head of the library, librarians, teachers, students and schools. The results of this study are the implementation of management functions in the cheerful library of SMA N 1 Rejang Lebong has been implemented well.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of Reading Time activities on students' information literacy skills in the library of SMA N 1 Jetis. The research method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. The sample obtained amounted to 74 respondents with the Yammane formula. The sampling technique used incidental sampling. Variable X is Reading Time activity as independent variable, Y variable is information literacy ability as dependent variable. Data collection techniques are questionnaires, interviews, observation, and documentation. The measurement scale uses a Likert scale. Data analysis used the mean and grand mean, correlation analysis and simple linear regression analysis. The results showed: (1) Reading Time Activities in the Library of SMA N 1 Jetis were included in the "Good" category from the results of the analysis of the mean and grand mean of the variable X of 3.11 in the interval 2.50 - 3.24. (2) Students' Information Literacy Ability in the "Good" category from the results of the analysis of the mean and grand mean of the Y variable of 3.23 in the interval 2.50 - 3.24. (3) The results of the hypothesis test show that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is a positive influence between Reading Time activities on Students' Information Literacy Ability in the Library of SMA N 1 Jetis. The effect has a value of (0.716) which is included in the interval 0.60 - 0.799 meaning the level of the relationship is "Strong". (4) The results of the calculation of Simple Linear Regression with the equation Y= 22.447 + 1.496 X. and R Square of 0.513. It means that the influence of Reading Time activities on information literacy skills is 51%.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic, which continues to spread to various countries, has had a huge impact on many sectors. The education sector is one of the most affected by the COVID-19 virus. Learning that was originally able to be done face-to-face must be changed to distance learning or online. Being one of the sources of reference in a learning and information center, the library must innovate in providing services so that it can still meet the needs of users. This study discusses the application of mixed services to circulation services at the UIN SAIZU Purwokerto library during the pandemic. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with interviews and observations as a deepening of data collection. The borrowing service uses a drive thru system, while the return service is carried out via expedition or if you are still in one city you can leave the book to the security guard in a neat package and give the user's name, number, and cellphone number. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the application of blended services in the circulation service of the UIN SAIZU Purwokerto Library, although it encountered several obstacles, could be implemented well.

Abstract

The purpose of the research are To understand the library system that is being used by UPT Library Lambung Mangkurat University Banjarmasin; Identify the problems in library; Produce recommendation about digital library information system as a process to enhance the effectiveness and the efficiency. Qualitative method with an action research approachment is being used in this research are interview, observation and documentation. Data collected then analyzed in descriptive qualitative approach. This research shows how conventional system applied in UPT Library Lambung Mangkurat University Banjarmasin library leads to ineffectiveness and inefficiency that affects the user and operator; There are many negative sides which are limited time access, longer book-searching and borrowing process, human error in recording, and many others; Thus, the researcher gives a solution in a form of digital library website in order to lift the effectiveness and efficiency in every single library activity. Based on the result, it is known that library system that is being used in UPT Library Lambung Mangkurat University Banjarmasin still conventional. There are several weaknesses such as limited time acces, ineffective and inefficient in book-searching process, transaction, and recording. Information system by solusion, digital library using digital library website is a correct option to prevent any problem exist in current library system.

Abstract

In connection with the enactment of Work From Home (WFH) for employees engaged in public services, physical distancing policies, and other health procedure rules so that public services are not carried out optimally, the phenomenon of an online service system appears. Noting this phenomenon and seeing the efforts made by public service providers in dealing with this pandemic situation, library services also need to adapt by implementing an online service system. Changes or adjustments to services are a must so that the function of the library remains in demand and is useful for many people. The research was conducted qualitatively by utilizing secondary data sources obtained from official publications of agencies and institutions, applicable laws and regulations, and other related publications. Limitations in the implementation of services during the pandemic should be an opportunity for libraries to innovate. During the COVID-19 pandemic, libraries can use the following library service strategies: online public access catalog-based online search services, independent circulation services, delivery-based services, on-site reading services, user education services, collection proposal services, webinar services, information literacy services, and library and librarian consulting services.
