Abstract

Cataloging Javanese script literature is a specific skill that cannot be done by everyone or librarians. This study aims to describe the efforts to preserve knowledge and good practices in the cataloging activities at the Perpustakaan Balai Bahasa DIY. We collected qualitative data by interview, non-participant observation, and documentation to collect data. Data analysis was carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The informants of this research are library coordinators and other related staff. The results of the study indicate that the preservation of tacit, explicit, and traditional knowledge is carried out at this institution. Knowledge preservation efforts need to be made into a structured activity so that the transfer of knowledge between librarians is more optimal.

Abstract

Current technological advances lead us to rapid development. One of the developments that occurred was in the library. The information needs of library users are facilitated by the existence of e-books which can be used as learning support. . E-books are library materials in digital form which are considered as library materials that can be accessed whenever and wherever we need them. This research was conducted to find out how the use of e-book library materials as a support for learning at SMAN 1 Kedungwaru. The research method used in this study is qualitative and presented in a descriptive form using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis was carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions/verification. The results of the study show that students at SMAN 1 Kedungwaru have used e-books as a learning support. They use e-books as reading material to add insight. This is considered a practical matter to obtain learning materials, especially during a pandemic. The existence of this e-book also has a big influence on student academic achievement. E-books are also considered to make it easier for students to fulfill academic information. The results of this study also show that there are still students who have not been able to make full use of e-books. What's more, the collections provided are still limited, so students choose to look for library materials in physical form. However, librarians try their best to add library materials and carry out promotions so that students can make the most of e-books. E-book library materials can be put to good use and are also effective in utilizing the facilities provided. The e-book is used as a reference in supporting the learning process. The suggestion of this research is the need for encouragement or motivation so that users can make the most of e-books.

Abstract

Academics including librarians need publications in order to develop their knowledge. There are so many uses of digital technology for library services that it leaves little novelty behind. This study aims to observe the research trends of preliminary studies related to digital technology and libraries in papers on the Scopus website. This study uses the bibliometric method for searching and analyzing data. The population was found to be around 2298. Then the population will be eliminated based on several inclusion criteria such as using English, only in the form of articles, and only for the field of social science studies. Samples were obtained around 1598 documents on the Scopus website. The results show that the most recent topic trends regarding the use of digital technology in libraries in 2018. This shows that there are no more papers on digital technology after 2018. In Scopus Paper indexed journals about digital technology, libraries globally have novelty/ high novelty if published in 2022 and beyond. In addition, there is not a single sub-topic related to human resources and their management in the library environment. This study also shows that the United Kingdom (UK) is the affiliate with the most citations, followed by the United States of America (USA), Pakistan and China. While the affiliation with the most papers with the highest citations is the USA.

Abstract

Bibliometric research in Indonesia is essential to do for exploring trends and understanding the knowledge base of bibliometric research from the perspective of globally indexed publications. Bibliometric studies have been applied mainly to scientific fields of activity, mostly based on metadata elements such as author, title, subject, citation, etc., related to scientific publications in a discipline. However, no study explicitly discusses the development of bibliometric research in Indonesia based on globally indexed publications. This study aims to identify 1) the growth of bibliometric research in Indonesia, 2) the performance of scientific agencies in publishing bibliometric research in Indonesia, and 3) the science mapping of bibliometric research in Indonesia. This study used data and graphical quantification methods to help researchers understand the future progress and trends of bibliometric research in Indonesia. The study results show that within two decades, there have been 167 relevant documents published and globally indexed in this field. The 167 documents were then analyzed and interpreted using bibliometric techniques: performance analysis and science mapping. The performance analysis results show that bibliometric publications in Indonesia continue to increase from one publication in 2001 to 85 documents in 2022. The most popular categories studied with bibliometrics are Environmental science and Engineering. The analysis results also show the productivity of each scientific actor, including writers, institutions, and countries. The conclusion showed four significant clusters in bibliometric research in Indonesia: the Chemical science cluster, Bibliometric analysis and literature review, food safety, and top Indonesian universities.

Abstract

Users are the subject and at the same time the object of library services, because users feel the most about whether the services they receive are able to meet their needs for the necessary scientific information. Therefore, the level of user satisfaction needs to be measured periodically using various methods, one of which is through surveys. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of user satisfaction for the NTB IPDN Campus for the 2022 period in the form of a User Satisfaction Index. The method used is descriptive qualitative with secondary data sources from searches or literature studies of relevant previous research results for comparison. Study results. The User Satisfaction Index for Library services in 2022 has increased by an average of 4%, when compared to the 2021 period. The highest increase in service elements is the element of service fees/tariffs with a difference of 231 points or an increase of 7%. While the element of service with the smallest difference is found in the element of service procedures by 27 points or 1%. Listening to all the service elements (9 elements), all of them experienced an increase in user satisfaction from the 2021 survey when compared to the 2022 survey results. The conclusion of this study is that the User Satisfaction Index for library services IPDN Campus NTB in 2022 obtained an average value for all service elements of 3.326 or converted with user satisfaction index interval values entered in the performance of service units in the GOOD category

Abstract

The quality of service at the UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung library is measured based on the results of a descriptive analysis of Tangible, Responsiveness (response), Assurance (guarantee), Empathy (empathy) given by librarians in serving users is good and a total score of 3733 is obtained or 70.43% means that the quality of service at the UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung library is good. User satisfaction at the UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung library is measured by the theory of Libqual Service of Affect. Users feel satisfied when receive services from librarians, library as place user feel satisfied when they are in the library, information control users feel satisfied when they receive instructions and access facilities provided. by librarians, a total score of 520 or 65.40% of users felt satisfaction when they received services from the UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung library. The effect of service quality on user satisfaction in the UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung library has a strong and positive significant value, the data is obtained from a simple linear regression test, if the service quality is higher then the user's perceived satisfaction is also high, supported by the dimension of service quality that give satisfaction to users such as concrete evidence of the availability and completeness of the collection, the infrastructure owned by the library such as tables, chairs, shelves, reading rooms, neatness of the staff. Reliability, thoroughness, expertise, discipline of office in serving user needs, discipline and timeline of office in serving users. Good and fast response of officers to complaints and user needs. Guaranteed timely certainty in service and also guaranteed certainty of meeting the needs of users. Officer empathy prioritizes serving user needs, officers are friendly and polite in serving user needs, do not discriminate between services to users Officers respect user needs.

Abstract

Sejauh ini, perpustakaan dikenal dengan banyak orang sebagai tempat tumpukan buku. Padahal perpustakaan memiliki fungsi tersendiri, salah satunya akses untuk memenuhi sumber informasi dan sebagai sara pembelajaran bagi masyarakat. Seperti halnya adanya perpustakaan jalanan (Perjal), di mana menjadi wadah untuk melayani keperluan yang berkaitan dengan bahan pustaka bagi masyarakat. Perjal merupakan perpustakaan yang begitu dengan masyarakat karena konsepnya yang sederhana dan dapat langsung membaur kepada lingkungan sekitar. Di Nganjuk terdapat Perpustakaan Jalanan Kabupaten Nganjuk, di mana konsep adalah lapak buku yang dilakukan setiap minggu di tempat yang mudah dijangkau oleh masyarakat. Perjal ini mengenalkan perpustakaan lewat media sosial instagram. Oleh sebab itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan media sosial instagram sebagai sarana promosi perpustakaan jalanan Nganjuk. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan sumber data primer dan sekunder. sumber data primer di dapat dari observasi dan wawancara, sedangkan sumber data sekunder didapat dari dokumentasi dan kajian pustaka. Hasil dari penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa perpustakaan jalanan Nganjuk menggunakan instagram sebagai sarana promosi untuk mengenalkan perpustakaan itu sendiri dan produk yang berkaitan dengan literasi yang mudah dijangkau oleh masyarakat sekitar. Adanya konsep lapak buku sederhana dan terbuka untuk siapa pun yang memanfaatkannya, Perjal Nganjuk kini dikenal oleh banyak masyarakat sekitar. Oleh sebab itu, fungsi perpustakaan sebagai tempat pembelajaran dan rekreasi kultural telah tercapai. Di mana masyarakat dapat membaca dan mengakses sumber informasi yang ringan dan bersifat menghibur. So far, the library is known to many as a place of stacks of books. Even though the library has its own function, one of which is access to meet sources of information and as a means of learning for the community. Like the existence of a street library (Perjal), which is a place to serve needs related to library materials for the community. Perjal is a library that is like the community because of its simple concept and can immediately blend into the surrounding environment. In Nganjuk there is the Nganjuk District Street Library, where the concept is a book stall that is held every week in a place easily accessible by the community. Perjal introduces the library via Instagram social media. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to find out the use of social media Instagram as a means of promoting the Nganjuk street library. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection uses primary and secondary data sources. Primary data sources are obtained from observation and interviews, while secondary data sources are obtained from documentation and literature review. The results of this study showed that the Nganjuk street library uses Instagram as a promotional tool to introduce the library itself and products related to literacy that are easily accessible to the surrounding community. With the concept of a simple and open bookstore for anyone who uses it, Perjal Nganjuk is now well known by many local people. Therefore, the function of the library as a place for learning and cultural recreation has been achieved. Where people can read and access information sources that are light and entertaining.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini membahas tentang penerapan aplikasi Tulib sebagai sarana temu balik informasi elektronik di perpustakaan Daerah Kabupaten Tuban. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keberhasilan aplikasi Tulib sebagai sarana temu balik informasi serta efektivitasnya dalam pemenuhan informasi masyarakat kabupaten Tuban. Metode pada penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif dengan data yang diperoleh melalui wawancara pustakawan Tulib serta masyarakat pengguna Tulib yang tersebar diseluruh Kabupaten Tuban. Observasi dengan mengunjungi langsung tempat yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemanfaatan aplikasi Tulib kebanyakan masih diminati oleh sektor pendidikan, tidak sedikit masayarakat umum yang belum memanfaatkan Tulib sebagai media temu balik informasi. Abstract

Perpustakaan memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam memberikan dukungan pendidikan bagi masyarakat.. Perpustakaan Pitimoss adalah perpustakaan modern yang juga dikenal sebagai taman bacaan. Perpustakaan ini berdiri atas dasar cinta mendalam para pendirinya terhadap dunia literasi dan buku. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah fungsi manajemen yang ada di Perpustakaan Pitimoss ini telah menerapkan fungsi manajemen dengan baik dan tepat sesuai aturan Lembaga perpustakaan sebagaimanan mestinya.. Tujuan dari dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah Perpustakaan Pitimoss ini telah menerapkan fungsi manajemen dengan baik dan tepat sesuai aturan Lembaga perpustakaan sebagaimanan mestinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini fokus pada pemahaman mendalam tentang karakteristik, aspek-aspek, konteks, dan makna dari fenomena yang diteliti. Hasil dari penelitian deskriptif kualitatif disajikan dalam bentuk laporan penelitian yang berisi narasi dan interpretasi mengenai temuan-temuan yang ditemukan selama proses penelitian. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Perpustakaan Pitimoss belum sepenuhnya menerapkan fungsi manajemen menurut George Robert Terry dengan baik. Salah satu fungsinya adalah fungsi pengorganisasian yang di mana masih kurang begitu jelas mengenai transparansinya.

Abstract

Indonesia, as a country rich in cultural heritage, has cultural diversity that stretches from Aceh to Papua. The role of the library is very significant as a form of effort in maintaining and preserving these cultural values. Libraries play an important role as guardians of knowledge, culture and civilization of a nation. This is where various national cultural products are collected, recorded, grouped, preserved, and presented to the community for further development. This aspect becomes a collective contemplation, especially in the context of the problems expressed in the title above. The Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, which consists of various islands and stretches from the western tip of Sumatra to the east of Papua, has an area comparable to the area of ??the European continent. Within this framework, the role of the library is very important as a place of preservation for various cultures in Indonesia. Cultural wealth, including in the form of manuscripts, is the creation of the glorious civilization of the Indonesian people in the past. The contents of the values ??and outlook on life contained in these texts need to be maintained because they will be a driving force for the progress of the nation in the current era of globalization. Libraries play a crucial role in realizing efforts to preserve the nation's cultural heritage. One of the ways is by supporting research, study, and dissemination of the noble values ??contained therein. Through this function, the library not only maintains cultural heritage, but also ensures the continuation of these values ??for future generations. Thus, the library plays a role as the vanguard in efforts to preserve cultural values ??and pass them on to the future.
