Abstract

Utilization of information technology is very important to provide the best service in the library and satisfy the information needs of customers who are increasingly complex. The purpose of this research is to find out how the process of utilizing automation in libraries and what obstacles are faced by library managers. This study uses a qualitative research with a descriptive approach which basically wants to explain and describe the truth of a provisional answer. The method used in this study is a survey method that uses interview guidelines as a data collection tool. The data collection techniques used observation, interview and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique in this study uses the Miles and Huberman data model, there are 3 important components in this analysis, including data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that the use of automation in SMA Negeri 1 Kertosono has not run optimally, there are still many obstacles faced by library managers. The obstacles faced by the manager are the media, the internet, workers who do not have a background in the library and software that has not been mastered to the fullest. Utilization of automation at SMA Negeri 1 Kertosono still needs a lot of repairs before it's too late, seeing the many obstacles that exist but it is balanced with the willingness of the managers to be able to change for the better, because for now if you don't follow modern times the library will be far behind the others, especially now that everything is digital.

Abstract

Librarians should contribute through research and publications to develop their knowledge. Citation is a sign of showing popularity of a paper. This study aims to analyze the effect of the number of pages of a paper on the number of citations in Scopus indexed publications. This study uses 35 samples of secondary data that have been eliminated from 80 population data downloaded from Scopus. This study uses the OLS method to analyze the effect of variable X to variable Y. The results show that the prob. score. variable number of pages as variable X > 0.05, which means there is no effect on the number of citations as variable Y. paper quality determines whether a paper has the opportunity to be widely cited by other researchers or not. In addition, papers that have a large number of pages do not always have good quality content, so they do not always get the attention of other academics. Other content such as the uniqueness of the title, the regularity of the abstract, and the keywords that symbolize the content of the content also affect a paper to get a chance for citation.

Abstract

Planning a good collection development will affect the improvement of students' insight and references to get good achievements. In addition, the fulfillment of the collection will be able to translate the lessons taught by the teachers. In this case, library readiness is needed to support the school's vision and mission to improve student achievement. This study aims to determine the effect of library management on student achievement at SMA Negeri 8 Jakarta. This type of research is quantitative with a simple linear regression analysis approach. This study uses probability sampling where the population is class XI students as many as 354 students and class XII as many as 360 students so that the total population becomes 714 students. The sources of this research come from questionnaires, document studies and interviews. The results of the study found that there was a positive influence between library management and student achievement at SMA Negeri 8 Jakarta. This can be seen from the data processing of SPSS ver 22 calculation results, through statistical testing of the t test. the results of the t count value of 2,915 and t table of 1,998 with a significance of 0,005. With the test criteria t count > t table and if the significance is < (0.05), then H0 is rejected, then in the calculation of the coefficient of determination it is known that the influence of library management on student achievement at SMA Negeri 8 Jakarta is 9% while the remaining 91 percents is influenced by other factors. not researched. The readiness of libraries to increase student predation begins with developing electronic-based library collections and providing access to collections by utilizing OPAC. In addition, to improve information literacy, the library held a workshop on writing scientific papers by inviting well-known writers.

Abstract

Information technology is one of the factors that affect the success of a program. Information technology can be used as a potential tool that can support the Merdeka Learning Program for the Independent Campus, considering that library access is very necessary to information sources that are multidisciplinary subjects, multiformat, integrated search, local, national and international collections as well as advanced services needed by its users, especially students who study outside their campus through the stages of socialization, education and evaluation to achieve the success of Merdeka Learning Merdeka Campus. The research used in this research is qualitative. Research conducted on natural objects. A natural object is an object that develops as it is, is not manipulated by the researcher and the presence of the researcher does not affect the dynamics on the object. In qualitative research the instrument is a person or human instrument, that is, the researcher himself. To gain a broader and deeper understanding of the social situation under study.

Abstract

The concept of library services has developed according to the needs of generations of users. The change is more to the design. Services in the form of guidance assistance to users in the process of searching for appropriate sources of information and referral sources, consulting assistance on the use of reference materials is a form of assistance to meet the needs of users. This research is a qualitative research with the type of library research. The data collection technique is literary, and the data analysis method is done by analyzing the content (content analysis). The results of the research through this analysis are that the concept of library services is in accordance with the interpretation of the letter Al-Maidah verse 2 that 1. there is assistance or assistance in the form of guidance to users in searching for appropriate reference or referral sources 2. providing training in tracing printed reference sources and digital (e- resources), guidance for users on how to be ethical in citing other people's work to avoid plagiarism violations. 3. an appeal to be more careful in identifying and using valid reference sources, maintaining and not damaging the collection. This is because the act is detrimental to others and is included in the act of tyranny. All forms of library services are conceptually a form of virtue (birru).

Abstract

This study aims to examine the information access process for visually impaired library users at the Braille Corner of the Malang City Library and Archives Office. The information- seeking model used is a combination of approaches by Ellis and Kuhlthau and Wilson, which outlines the stages of information-seeking from uncertainty to understanding. The research findings show that visually impaired users visit Braille Corner for various reasons, such as looking for books or simply the desire to read. In the initial stage, they recognize the need for information and begin searching by utilizing various facilities such as Braille books, smart computers, and talking books. If the information they seek is not found, they tend to ask the librarian or request recommendations for other collections. The information-seeking process involves filtering and selecting relevant information, with further interaction between the users and librarians to verify the accuracy of the information. Users express satisfaction and comfort with the services provided, although sometimes physical and psychological conditions can affect their mood when accessing information. However, librarians face challenges related to infrastructure and facilities that are not yet fully disability-friendly, as well as the need for training for new librarians. This study concludes that although users are satisfied with the facilities and services, there are still several challenges related to infrastructure and human resource development that need to be addressed to improve the quality of information services for visually impaired users at Braille Corner, Malang City Library.

Abstract

Rendahnya tingkat literasi membaca siswa sekolah dasar didaerah pedalaman menjadi tantangan serius dalam dunia pendidikan Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran volunteer dari komunitas Patjar Lentera Muda (PLM) dalam meningkatkan minat baca siswa di SDN 2 Padak Guar, Lombok Timur. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi terhadap guru, siswa, kepala dusun, serta ketua lapangan relawan PLM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program literasi yang dijalankan relawan PLM, seperti kegiatan "Relawan Menyapa SD", "Gerakan Sore Literasi", dan "Belajar di TPQ", berhasil membangkitkan semangat belajar serta meningkatkan minat baca siswa secara signifikan. Selain itu, adanya bantuan buku bacaan dan dukungan donatur untuk pembangunan ruang kelas menunjukkan dampak berkelanjutan dari program ini. Tantangan yang dihadapi relawan meliputi keterbatasan sumber daya manusia dan dana, serta rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya pendidikan. Namun demikian, semangat dan strategi edukatif para volunteer berhasil menciptakan perubahan positif. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar pemerintah, sekolah, dan masyarakat turut serta mendukung program literasi berbasis komunitas untuk menciptakan pendidikan yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Era digital membawa tantangan dan peluang baru dalam budaya literasi, terutama terkait minat baca generasi muda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis minat baca anggota Organisasi Literasi Ilmiah UIN Mataram di tengah gempuran teknologi digital yang kerap mengalihkan perhatian dari aktivitas membaca. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode campuran (mixed methods) dengan pengumpulan data melalui angket Google Forms, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 55,2% anggota secara rutin membaca buku atau artikel ilmiah setiap minggu, dan 89,7% merasa terdorong untuk membaca karena keterlibatan mereka dalam organisasi literasi. Meskipun demikian, sebanyak 55,2% responden mengaku bahwa gadget lebih menarik daripada membaca buku, menunjukkan bahwa tantangan digital masih signifikan. Organisasi Literasi Ilmiah berperan penting dalam meningkatkan minat baca melalui kegiatan seperti bedah buku, pelatihan menulis, dan diskusi ilmiah, yang berhasil menciptakan lingkungan akademik yang mendorong budaya membaca. Dengan pendekatan kontekstual dan dukungan lingkungan literasi yang aktif, minat baca generasi digital dapat terus ditumbuhkan dan diarahkan secara positif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji literasi keagamaan di Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) Gampengrejo, yang didefinisikan sebagai pemahaman dan pengalaman nilai agama untuk membentuk karakter positif siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pelaksanaan literasi keagamaan dalam mempengaruhi perubahan sikap siswa dan untuk mengetahui faktor pendukung dan penghambat literasi keagamaan dalam membentuk sikap siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan melibatkan 6 informan (4 walimurid, 1 guru PAI, dan kepala sekolah) melalui observasi partisipan, wawancara semi terstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa program literasi keagamaan, seperti SUKALIA (Siswa KAmis LIterasi Agama), dan pengajian rutin berhasil diimplementasikan dan berkontribusi signifikan pada peningkatan sikap positif siswa, termasuk toleransi, kejujuran, kemandirian, dan empati. Keberhasilan ini didukung oleh beberapa faktor seperti, kesiapan siswa, materi, dukungan orang tua, dan kepala sekolah, meskipun masih terkendala oleh dua faktor yaitu, kurangnya dukungan buku dan sarana prasarana. Saran penelitian ini adalah pentingnya mengembangkan kurikulum dan media mendorong pembelajaran yang lebih sesuai untuk siswa berkebutuhan khusus.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of evaluating user satisfaction as part of the effort to improve library service quality in higher education institutions, particularly at IPDN NTB Campus. In an era of governance that demands transparency and accountability, user satisfaction has become a key indicator within the internal quality assurance system (SPMI) and serves as a basis for formulating service development policies. The aim of this research is to measure the level of user satisfaction with the library services at IPDN NTB Campus in 2025, analyze trends in comparison with previous periods (2018, 2021, 2022, and 2024), and identify aspects that need improvement. The study employed a descriptive quantitative survey method using a questionnaire based on nine elements of public service standards issued by the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (Kementerian PAN-RB), including procedures, requirements, service time, cost/tariffs, service products, staff competence, staff behavior, facilities/infrastructure, and complaint handling. Data were analyzed quantitatively to obtain the average User Satisfaction Index (IKP) score for each element and its trend over time. The results indicate that, overall, the library services at IPDN NTB Campus in 2025 are rated as excellent. Eight out of nine service elements showed an increase in score compared to previous periods, with the highest achievement in the cost/tariff element (3.8732) and the lowest in the facilities/infrastructure element (3.5915), which experienced a slight decrease from the previous year but remained in the “excellent” category. Longitudinal comparisons highlight continuous improvements in procedural aspects, service speed, librarian competence, and responsiveness to feedback. These findings confirm the effectiveness of the implemented service quality improvement strategies and provide an empirical basis for formulating action plans and developing more adaptive, innovative, and sustainable library services.
