Abstract

The Comparing to other states, quality of education in Indonesia including Islamic education has not shown significant progress. It can be verified from the report of PERC, World Bank, and data from UNDP. It is a regret to find the decrease of our education quality. It occurs because supervision of education is done in conventional manner, rigid, and formality limited. Moreover, it may also because instructional activities have not been optimal yet and management of education institution which is less professional. In order to solve the problem, some solutions are offered. One of them is that the implementation of supervision has to be done optimally, procedurally, and professionally. In this case, supervision takes its role as, (1) academic supervision: teacher partner, innovator, and pioneer, instructional and education consultant, teachers counselor, and motivator, (2) managerial supervision: concept drafter, programmer, composer, reporter, and builder. Furthermore, manager (headmaster) has to be able to concentrate and supervise the effort to have a good input through very good process to produce excellent output: moderate input through excellent process produces very good output; and the lower input through a very excellent process resulting better output.

Abstract

A community kitchen is a collective space that functions not only as a place for cooking but also as a platform for social collaboration, user interaction, and community empowerment. In the context of the community kitchen operated by FoodCycle Indonesia, the complexity of activities and the diversity of users’ backgrounds present particular challenges in designing spatial layouts and furniture that effectively respond to users’ needs. This study aims to develop spatial and furniture design strategies that address both functional requirements and user-centered considerations within the community kitchen. Through a design thinking approach and qualitative methods, the research focuses on identifying activity patterns, spatial issues, and the strategic role of space and furniture in enhancing work efficiency and user comfort across various activities. The problem-solving process is conducted comprehensively through the empathize stage to gain an in-depth understanding of users’ needs. The findings are formulated into spatial and furniture design strategies that are flexible and adaptable to evolving activities within the community kitchen, taking into account aspects of activity patterns, user needs, ergonomics, anthropometry, and long-term kitchen operations. The proposed design is expected to create an inclusive working environment, improve work quality, and enhance workflow comfort within the community kitchen.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze the implementation of a Christian values- based inclusive education model in schools. Inclusive education is an approach designed to ensure that all students, including those with special needs, can fully participate in the learning process. In this context, Christian values such as love, justice, equality, and service provide a strong moral and ethical foundation to support inclusive education. This research employs a literature review method to examine related literature on the implementation of inclusive education and the integration of Christian values in education. The findings of the study indicate that a Christian values-based inclusive education model can create a more welcoming, just, and supportive learning environment for all students. The value of love helps to foster a classroom atmosphere of attentiveness and empathy, while the values of justice and equality ensure that all students have equal access to educational opportunities. The value of service teaches the importance of helping and serving others, enriching students' learning experiences. The inclusive classroom model and the collaborative model are two effective approaches for integrating Christian values into inclusive education. The inclusive classroom model emphasizes adapting the curriculum and teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students, whereas the collaborative model involves cooperation between general education teachers and special education teachers to support student needs. The study concludes that Christian values-based inclusive education not only enhances students' academic outcomes but also builds strong character and morals, making them fair, loving individuals ready to serve society.
