Abstract

Abstrak Pemerintah telah berupaya untuk memasyarakatkan kewirausahaan, namun upaya tersebut belum membawa pengaruh yang signifikan karena masih banyak penduduk yang tidak produktif setiap tahun. Dalam praktik di sekolah, bisa di lihat bagaimana strategi mengelola lembaga sekolah dengan menggunakan konsep kewirausahaan yang menguntungkan bagi sekolah dan siswa, dengan cara mengoptimalkan segala potensi yang dimilikinya. Hal ini bisa di lihat dari (1). Syarat-syarat apa saja yang harus di miliki pengelola sekolah agar mampu menciptakan unit kewirausahaan, (2). Bagaimana pola pengembangan unit kewirausahaan yang dapat di implementasikan di sekolah, (3). Bagaimana cara memonitor dan mengevaluasi pengembangan kewirausahaan di sekolah. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah SMP Islamic Solidarity School yang telah menerapakan kewirausahaan berbasis sekolah. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan memaparkan hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian yang capai saat ini yaitu, guru belum menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis kewirausahaan dalam perencanaan pembelajaran. Ada beberapa kendala yang dihadapi pihak sekolah dalam menrapkan kewirausahaan berbasis sekolah diantaranya dana, Sumber Daya Manusia, Sarana prasarana, waktu, pemasaran dan kerjasama pada pihak luar yang terkait. Kata kunci : manajemen pendidikan, pendidikan kewirausahaan, strategi berbasis sekolah Abstract The government has made an effort to promote entrepreneurship, but these effort seem not show a significant impact due to the fact that many people who are not productive every year. It can be seen at school practice how the management of school institutions apply the concept of entrepreneurship that is benefical for schools and students by optimizing its potential. This can bee seen from (1). The requirements that should be owned by the school manager to be able to create an entrepreneurial unit, (2). How to develop of entrepreneurial units that can be implemented in school, (3). How to monitor and evaluate the development of entrepreneurship in schools. The sample of this study is Islamic Junior High School (Solidarity School) that has been applying the school-based entrepreneurship. This is a qualitative method using descriptive approach. The current research results are the teachers have not applied a based learning entrepreneurship in lesson planning. There are several problems faced by the school in applying the school-based entrepreneurship namely: funding, human resources, facilities and infrastructure, time, marketing, and cooperation on relevant external parties. Abstract

Abstrak Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran kepemimpinan, kondisi budaya akademik mahasiswa, hubungan antara peran kepemimpinan dengan budaya akademik, serta faktor pendukung dan penghambat budaya akademik mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi di Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Universitas Jambi, IAIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi dan Universitas Batanghari Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan mixed methods research. Data dianalisis menggunakan mean, standar deviasi, dan korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan respon pimpinan terhadap pelaksanaan budaya akademik di ketiga perguruan tinggi di Kota Jambi tersebut berada pada tahap sederhana (skor min 2.67). Selain itu, sejumlah faktor pendukung pelaksanaan budaya akademik tidak dimanfaatkan dengan baik, bahkan disetujui berada pada tahap tinggi (skor min 3.45). Penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa faktor penghambat pelaksanaan budaya akademik mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi Kota Jambi tersebut yang secara keseluruhannya berada pada tahap rendah. Selain itu, peran pimpinan dalam hubungannya terhadap pelaksanaan budaya akademik mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi Kota Jambi dalam bentuk; 1) katalisator (menumbuhkan kesadaran), 2) fasilitator, 3) pemecahan masalah, 4) penghubung sumber (mencari sumber kebutuhan organisasi) menunjukkan hipotesisnya diterima, dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa hubungan antara peran kepemimpinan terhadap pelaksanaan budaya akademik mahasiswa tersebut memiliki hubungan yang signifikan. Kata Kunci: Kepemimpinan, budaya akademik, mahasiswa Abstract [The Relationship Between The Role Of Leaders and The Students’ Academic Culture At University In Jambi].The aim of this article is to find out the correlation between the role of leaders and students’ academic culture, including the supporting factors and obstacles. The State University of Jambi, The Institute of Islamic Studies Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi, and Batanghari University were the subjects of the research. This was a mixed method research from which the data were analyzed using mean, deviation standard, and correlation’s formula. The result showed that leaders’ respond towards the application of academic culture in the three universities in Jambi City was at a simple stage (score 2.67). The factors for supporting a good academic culture have not been applied well or even approved at the high stage (score 3.45). There was a low level of factors which might constraint the application of good academic culture. In a nutshell, the roles of leaders in the application of students’ academic culture were in the form of: 1) the builder of awareness, 2) facilitator, 3) problem solver, and 4) resource finder for the need of institution. Therefore, the hypothesis was accepted that there was a significant correlation between roles of leaders and the application of students’ academic culture. Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang kepemimpinan demokratis nyai dalam pengembangan Pondok Pesantren. Penelitian ini mengambil latar di Pondok Pesantren Muntasyirul Ulum MAN Yogyakarta III. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tipologi Pondok Pesantren Muntasyirul Ulum adalah pesantren campuran, yaitu menggabungkan sistem salafiyah dengan modern. Tipe kepemimpinan demokratis nyai dalam pengembangan pondok pesantren ditandai dengan sikap mengedepankan prinsip musyawarah, kerjasama, pendelegasian wewenang dan pengambilan keputusan. Implikasi kepemimpinan demokratis nyai bagi pengembangan pondok pesantren adalah pengembangan manajemen pondok pesantren dan sumber daya manusia (SDM) Pondok Pesantren Muntasyirul Ulum MAN Yogyakarta III.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengetahuan manajerial dan motivasi berprestasi terhadap kinerja Kepala Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain survey kausal, yang melibatkan total sampling sebanyak 32 orang kepala Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Jambi. Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan analisis jalur menemukan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara variabel pengetahuan manajerial dengan kinerja kepala sekolah. Sementara motivasi berprestasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja kepala sekolah, meskipun motivasi berprestasi bukanlah satu-satunya faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja seorang kepala sekolah. Selanjutnya, pengetahuan manajerial tidak berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi berprestasi. Sedangkan pengetahuan manajerial dan motivasi berprestasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap variabel kinerja. Besarnya pengaruh pengetahuan manajerial dan motivasi berprestasi terhadap kinerja tergolong tinggi. Kata kunci: Pengetahuan manajerial, motivasi berprestasi, kinerja Abstract [The Influence of Managerial Knowledge and Achievement Motivation on Public Primary School Principals’ Performance]. This study is aimed at finding out the influence of managerial knowledge and achievement motivation on public primary school principals in Jambi. The study employed quantitative method through the use of causal survey design, involving 32 public primary school principals in Jambi. The result of study using path analysis revealed that there was significant influence of managerial knowledge variable on principals’ performance. Meanwhile, achievement motivation positively influenced and was significant to principals’ performance, though achievement motivation is not the only factor affecting a principal’s performance. In addition, managerial knowledge did not positively influence and was not significant to achievement motivation. Managerial knowledge and achievement motivation positively influenced and was significant to performance variable. The influence of managerial knowledge and achievement motivation was high. Abstract

Penyelenggara pendidikan baik negeri maupun swasta memiliki tanggungjawab dalam menyajikan layanan pendidikan yang berkualitas. Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu As Shiddiqi merupakan salah satu diantara Sekolah yang berhasil menjadi model Sekolah yang memiliki akuntabilitas dalam menyelenggarakan pendidikan dasar dua belas tahun di kota Jambi. Meskipun Sekolah ini dikatagorikan sebagai sekolah elit, namun kehadirannya telah ikut memberi andil dalam kebijakan pendidikan dua belas tahun di Jambi. Akuntabilitas Sekolah tercermin dari sarana dan prasarana sekolah yang memadai, proses belajar mangajar dan evaluasi yang mengikuti standar yang telah ditetapkan oleh Pemerintah dan JSIT, sikap dan peran serta stakeholder dalam pelaksanaan akuntabilitas manuntaskan wajib belajar dua belas tahun, dan beberapa kebijkan yang dilakukan pihak Sekolah yang menunjang pelaksanaan akuntabilitas manuntaskan wajib belajar dua belas tahun. Kata Kunci: akuntabilitas pendidikan, sekolah islam terpadu, wajib belajar dua belas tahun. Abstract [The Implementation Of Twelve-Year Compulsory Education Policy; Highlighting the Accountability Of Integrated Islamic Primary School]. Providers of both public and private education are responsible for the quality of education. Integrated Islamic Primary School As Shiddiqi is one of schools which succeeded being school model having the accountability in the implementation of twelve-year compulsory education in Jambi. Even though, this school is categorized as elite school, its existence contributes to twelve-year compulsory education policy in Jambi. School accountability is reflected from the adequate school infrastructures, teaching and learning process and evaluation which are based on the standard stipulated by the government and JSIT, attitude and participation of stakeholders in the implementation of completing twelve-year compulsory education and several policies operated by school which support the accountability implementation. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan mengenai manajemen pengembangan karir pegawai di Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Agama Provinsi Jam dan problematika yang dihadapi dalam pengembangan karir. Metode yang akan penulis gunakan meliputi (non-participant observation) atau pengamatan tidak terlibat, wawancara yang dilakukan secara mendalam, mendetail, atau intensif, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data akan dilakukan dengan cara analisis isi, analisis domain, dan analisis taksonomi. Hasilnya, ditemukan bahwa pengembangan karir pegawai di Kantor Wilayah kementerian Agama Provinsi Jambi telah berjalan baik walaupun masih ditemukan beberapa peawai yang mengalami kesulitan dalam upaya kenaikan pangkat khususnya dari IIId ke IVa. Problem utama yang ditemukan adalah kurangnya motivasi individu dan kemampuan dalam menghasilkan karya tulis ilmiah yang masih rendah. Jambi Abstract [The Management Of Servants’ Carrier Development At The District Office Of Ministry Of Religious Affair In Jambi Province.] The purpose of the research was to describe the management of servants’ carrier development and the problems occurred at the district office of Ministry of Religious Affair in Jambi Province. The researcher used non-participant observation, in-depth interview, and documentation. The data was analyzed using content analysis, domain analysis, and taxonomy analysis. The finding revealed that the carrier development was running well although some servants experienced difficulties dealing with increasing their grade from IIId to Iva. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap informasi tentang dan temuan-temuan tentang peningkatan kinerja tenaga administrasi di MAN 3 kota Jambi. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi dalam pengumpulan data. Sementara analisis data dilakukan dengan cara mereduksi data, menyajikan data, dan menyimpulkan data. Studi ini menemukan 1) tenaga kependidikan kurang responsibel terhadap supervisi yang dilakukan kepala madrasah, 2) tenaga kependidikan kurang profesional dalam melaksanakan tugas dan tanggung jawab, dan 3) peningkatan kinerja masih belum intens. Adapun hasil dari analisis data diperoleh informasi bahwa kegiatan supervisi yang dilakukan kepala Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 3 kota Jambi belum mampu meningkatkan kinerja tenaga kependidikan secara optimal, disebabkan beberapa faktor: a) faktor individual yang masih sulit dibentuk, b) terdapat beberapa tenaga kependidikan yang cukup senior sehingga membutuhkan waktu lama dalam proses supervisi, c) kondisi madrasah yang masih tergolong baru. Kata Kunci: Kinerja, supervisi, kepala sekolah Abstrak [Educational Staffs Performance; Questioning the Role of Principal Supervision]. This study is aimed to reveal the information and findings of administrative staff’s performance improvement at MAN 3 Jambi. The study employed qualitative approach through the use of interview, observation, and documentation. Meanwhile, the data were analyzed by using data reduction, data presentation, and data conclusion. From the result of study, it was found that 1) educational staffs were less responsible to the supervision carried out by the principal, 2) educational staffs were less professional in carrying out duties and responsibilities, and 3) performance improvement was not yet intense. In addition, based on data analysis, it was found that the supervision carried out by the principal of MAN 3 Jambi has not been able to improve optimally the educational staffs’ performance, due to several factors: a) the individual factor which is difficult to develop, b) there were several senior educational staffs so it required a long time in the process of supervision, c) the condition of school is still relatively new Keyword: Performance, supervision, principal

Abstract

Abstrak: Artikel ini bertujuan untuk melihat pandangan masyarakat terhadap AFTA, dampak AFTA terhadap karakter bangsa serta peran Manajemen Pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kota Jambi. Kerangka teori penelitian dikembangkan berdasarkan pandangan masyarakat terhadap AFTA, dampak AFTA terhadap karakter bangsa, dan peran Manajemen Pendidikan Islam. Terdapat 20 orang dijadikan sampel dengan rincian 5 orang pengusaha, 5 orang Pegawai Negeri Sipil, 5 orang politisi dan 5 orang tenaga pendidik. Penelitian ini menggunakan Korelasi Pearson Product Moment. Data dianalisis menggunakan mean, standar deviasi, dan korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan pandangan masyarakat terhadap AFTA berada pada tahap tahap tinggi (min=3.45), selain itu, dampak AFTA terhadap karakter bangsa berada pada tahap sederhana (min=3.25). Penelitian juga menunjukkan pandangan masyarakat terhadap peran manajemen pendidikan Islam berada pada tahap tahap tinggi (min=3.52). Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa secara keseluruhan implikasi AFTA terhadap pengembangan karakter di Kota Jambi memiliki implikasi yang signifikan. This research was conducted in Jambi city. Theoretical framework developed based on society's view of AFTA, AFTA impact on the nation character, and the role of Islamic Education Management. There are 20 people sampled with details of five businessmen, 5 persons Civil servants, 5 politicians and 5 people as educators. This study uses Pearson Product Moment Correlation. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and correlation.The results has shown that overall the public's view of AFTA are at a higher stage (min = 3.45), in addition, the impact of AFTA on the nation character is at the stage of simple (min = 3.25). Research also shown society's view of the role of Islamic education management at the stage of the high stage (min = 3.52). Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap strategi pemasaran jasa pendidikan pada Sekolah Dasar Islam terpadu Nurul Ilmi Jambi, yang dalam beberapa tahun terakhir mampu merebut pasar kelas menengah perkotaan terdidik yang sebelumnya lebih memilih sekolah-sekolah negeri atau sekolah swasta unggulan lainnya. Hasil penelitian dengan pendekatan kualitatif menemukan bahwa pemasaran jasa pendidikan pada sekolah tersebut dilandasi oleh ideologi muwasafat yang disebarkan dengan sistem jejaring melalui strategi segmentation, targeting, positiong, dan marketing mix. Model ini efektif dalam meningkatkan citra dan reputasi sekolah dikalangan masyarakat, pemerintah, dan stakeholder. Beberapa aspek yang menjadi tantangan adalah image sekolah ‘elit’, pesaing, dan keeksklusifan. Kata kunci: pemasaran jasa, pendidikan, Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu. Absrak. The Model of Ideology and Networking Based Educational Marketing Service: Study at Integrated Islamic Primary School. This study aims at revealing the marketing strategies of educational services at the Integrated Islamic Primary School Nurul Ilmi Jambi, which in recent years were able to seize the educated urban middle class that previously would prefer public schools or other private schools featured. The results of the study with a qualitative approach revealed that the marketing of educational services at the School based on the ideology, namely muwasafat (ten principles of education, derived from Hasan al Banna), networking systems through a strategy of segmentation, targeting, positioning, and marketing mix. The model was effective to improve the image and reputation of the School among the public, government, as well as stakeholders. Some aspects to be the challenge are the image of the School as 'elite' school, competitors, and also exclusivity. Keywords: marketing services, education, elementary school Islam.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap strategi pemasaran jasa pendidikan yang diterapkan pada Lembaga Bimbingan Belajar Primagama dan faktor-faktor pendukung dan tantangan yang menyertainya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus pada Lembaga Primagama Broni Jambi. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa dalam menghadapi persaingan Primagama cenderung menerapkan strategi segmen (segmented strategy) dengan memfokuskan diri pada asosiasi merek (brand association). Kekuatan ini didukung strategi bauran pemasaran dengan differensiasi pada produk-produk unggulan, promosi langsung, dan fariasi harga yang bersaing. Keunggulan Primagama selain terletak pada aspek bisnis yang menerapakan model waralaba, juga pada jejaring lembaga ke Dinas Pendidikan, Sekolah, dan masyarakat, serta dukungan staf akademik yang profesional. Tantangan sekaligus ancaman Lembaga adalah menjamurnya fullday school, kebijakan otonomi keuangan sekolah, dan minat masyarakat, yang menuntut Lembaga untuk merancang model pemasaran yang lebih berfariasi dan unggul. The study aims at revealing marketing strategies of educational services applied at Bimbingan Belajar Primagama (Primagama Tutoring Institute), and supporting factors as well as challenges it faces. The study employed a qualitative approach with case study design at the Bimbingan Belajar Primagama Broni Jambi. The study revealed that in the era of competition Primagama tend to implement segmented strategy focusing on brand associations supported by marketing mix strategy which focusing on product differentiation and distinction, direct promotion, and competitive-varies prices. The advantage of Primagama not only lies on its franchise model of business strategy, but also good networking to Educational Office, schools, and stakeholders, as well as professional staff. Challenges and threats faced are the emergence a model of fullday school, school financial autonomy policies, and low public interest.
