Abstract

This study aims to determine the planning, procurement, maintenance and utilization of existing facilities and infrastructure at the Darul Aufa Muara Bulian Islamic Boarding School.This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, the source of data obtained is from the Leadership, Waka Sarpras, and Students. The results showed that 1) the planning carried out at the Darul Aufa Islamic Boarding School was carried out at the beginning of each year, 2) the procurement carried out, namely receiving grants, buying, and making their own. 3) maintenance carried out, namely maintaining together and the existence of a list of pickets to take care of every day 4) utilization at this Islamic Boarding School is used which one is there first, then that is what will be used.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the strategy of school discipline in improving the disciplinary character of students at MAS Al-Hidayah Tebo Ilir. This research uses a qualitative approach. The informant selection technique uses purposive sampling. Data collection is carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis using interactive model analysis techniques by Miles and Huberman. The results showed that disciplinary character building is carried out through the application of discipline and habituation of activities that form the character of the discipline, such as arriving on time, praying on time, how to dress, and other extracurricular activities.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the central government's program, namely the creation of e-KTP for all Indonesian citizens. As a form of public service, people want fast and satisfying services. Meanwhile, the reality of the services received by the community is far from what was expected, and the low quality of e-KTP services such as the manufacture of e-KTP for days and the inadequacy of the devices used in serving. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive method, intended to provide an overview and analyze community services at the Pamenang District Office. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews. The results showed that the quality of public services at the Pamenang Subdistrict Office was still not optimal, which can be seen from the guarantee of uncertain settlement, inadequate facilities and infrastructure, lack of attention and good response from employees, lack of responsiveness of employees and lack of information provided to the community regarding service procedures. The employees have also not been consistent in implementing the Pamenang Sub-district Decree Number 11 of 2020 concerning Standard Operating Procedures which aims to realize quality services.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the leadership role of the principal in changes in the school organization. This research uses a qualitative approach with a meta-analysis method which is carried out by analyzing data obtained from several previously existing studies. The results of the data analysis show that the principal as a leader of change in the school organization has a very important role, namely: (1) building and growing awareness of all elements of the school regarding the urgency of change; (2) create and develop a vision, mission, goals, strategies, and policies for school change by including the participation of all elements of the school; (3) communicate the vision, mission, objectives, strategies, and policies to obtain improvements and feedback; (4) provide support, motivation, and empowerment of school resources for a smooth process of change; (5) planning and striving for the realization of short-term benefits of change; (6) consolidate all elements of the school to realize the success of school change; (7) demonstrate commitment and do what is said; (8) evaluate to determine the success rate of changes and improvements that need to be made; and (9) hold celebrations by giving awards (rewards) to all elements of the school.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the management of the tahfidz and tahsin Quran juz 30 exams at Ma'had Al-Jami'ah UIN STS Jambi. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection uses interview, observation, and documentation methods. The results of this study show that the management process of the tahfidz and tahsin Quran exams at Ma'had Al-Jami'ah UIN STS Jambi has carried out management functions, namely planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating. The planning of the tahfidz and tahsin Quran programs is carried out through the determination of targets, goal setting, method determination, method determination, and strategy determination. The implementation of the tahfidz and tahsin Quran programs has proceeded in accordance with the activity plans that are prepared in a structured and systematic manner. The control of the tahfidz and tahsin Quran programs has been carried out through activities to build cooperative relationships between supervisors and tutors, mentors in motivating tutors, mentors in fostering and directing tutors, and mentors in establishing communication with tutors.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the management of book collections, as well as the challenges and efforts made by the Jambi City Library and Archives Office. This research uses qualitative techniques and descriptive research design. Interviews, observations, and documents are used as data collection strategies. Data reduction, visualization, and verification techniques are used in data analysis (conclusions). Based on the results of field research, the management of book collections at the Jambi City Archives and Library Office includes the procurement of books, data verification, intervention, book stamps, classification, cataloguing, making cards and book bags, as well as providing barcodes before being placed on the bookshelf. In accordance with applicable norms and regulations, the number of books in the Jambi City Archives and Library Office is sufficient. Evaluate human resources by offering advice and training, and presenting them to librarian managers.

Abstract

Leadership is a divine mandate. Therefore the Quran has a lot to say about this leadership. This article aims to explain the nature of leadership, the requirements to become a leader, as well as the qualifications to become a leader. This discussion becomes important when it is associated with the image of leadership. To solve this problem, it is necessary to see how the support of the Quran provides justification in choosing leaders, the importance of the position of leaders in Islam, and the criteria for good and qualified leaders. This article concludes that the study of the Quran by taking a management approach, especially leadership studies, has long been carried out by management and leadership thinkers. Some experts conclude that leadership is not something special, but is a responsibility, sacrifice, hard work, authority to serve, even a pioneer of action. This research uses a library research method, namely literature study. The results of this research show that whoever becomes a leader, all his energy, enthusiasm, ambition, patience, liking, and direction must be carried out according to the guidance of the Quran.

Abstract

One of the main challenges in contemporary education lies in the ability of educational institutions to respond to rapid changes while continuously improving educational quality. Therefore, educational institutions are required to possess analytical capabilities to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats as a basis for formulating effective strategies. This study aims to describe the inhibiting and supporting factors of educational quality improvement, explain the importance of strategic management in enhancing educational quality, and analyze the role of SWOT analysis within educational strategic management. This research employs a literature review approach by examining relevant scholarly sources. The findings indicate that the inhibiting factors of educational quality improvement include policy inconsistency, centralized educational governance, and limited community participation. Meanwhile, supporting factors consist of school-based quality management, community involvement in education, and the development of effective learning paradigms. Furthermore, strategic management enables educational institutions to design adaptive and anticipatory strategies to ensure sustainable quality improvement. SWOT analysis serves as a strategic instrument that optimizes internal strengths, minimizes weaknesses, capitalizes on opportunities, and mitigates threats, thereby contributing significantly to the enhancement of educational quality.

Abstract

Human resource management (HRM) plays a crucial role in supporting the success of educational institutions, as human resources are the key element in realizing the vision and mission of an organization. Without proper planning and standards, the potential of human resources may become an obstacle rather than a strength in achieving institutional goals. This study aims to explain the implementation of Human Resource Management (HRM) from an Islamic perspective. The research method employed is a literature review, analyzing books and previous studies using descriptive analysis. The findings indicate that: (1) HRM encompasses all processes related to planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the development and guidance of Muslim individuals within organizations optimally; (2) The internalization of Islamic values is the responsibility of Muslims to prepare superior and qualified human resources across various aspects of life; (3) Islamic educational institutions play a vital role in producing individuals with broad knowledge, strong skills, technological competence, and a foundation of faith and piety, which serve as the basis for mastering knowledge, enhancing expertise, and applying knowledge in accordance with religious, moral, and governmental regulations; (4) The Qur’an and Hadith provide normative guidance for the internalization of HRM from an Islamic perspective. This study offers a deeper understanding of HRM implementation based on Islamic values and emphasizes the importance of structured, organized, and directed processes aligned with the principles of Sharia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the principal’s leadership in improving the effectiveness of online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMP Negeri 11 Muaro Jambi. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the principal’s leadership consists of four main stages: planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation. The principal adopted a transformational leadership style by providing individualized consideration, motivation, intellectual stimulation, and idealized influence. These strategies were manifested through coordination meetings, teacher training, the use of online learning platforms such as WhatsApp Group, Google Classroom, and Zoom Meeting, as well as regular evaluation of learning activities. Challenges included limited internet access, low digital literacy among some teachers, and fluctuating student motivation. This study emphasizes that the success of online learning during the pandemic is not only determined by the principal’s managerial skills but also by adaptive capacity and transformational leadership.
