Abstract

Social media is one of the alternatives for delivering information quickly, and it offers various platforms, including YouTube. Anyone can access these platforms, such as the YouTube channel Adi Hidayat Official. This account contains uploaded Islamic-themed videos with various delivery methods. Among these videos is one titled ”About Iman, Islam, and Iḥsān.”In presenting this theme, Ustadz Adi Hidayat conveys a hadith commonly known as the Hadith of Jibrīl (Gabriel). This research aims to examine how the hadith is presented on the Adi Hidayat Official channel, as well as the exegetical reception and functional reception of the hadith. The study employs a qualitative method with direct observation of the video on the Adi Hidayat Official YouTube channel under the theme ”About Iman, Islam, and Iḥsān” as the primary source. Additionally, a literature review approach is used as a secondary source related to the research topic.The findings indicate that in delivering the hadith, Ustadz Adi Hidayat presents it in his religious lecture (tausiyah) to provide understanding to the audience as an argument or motivation in worship. He emphasizes that **Islam, Iman, and Iḥsān** are closely interconnected and complementary in attaining the pleasure of Allah (swt). Abstract

Hadith education in the archipelago was initially not given much attention by some seekers of knowledge due to the lack of references offered at that time. However, at-Tarmasi (d. 1920 AD) emerged as a differentiator by introducing the book Manhaj Dzawin Al-Nazhar as the main reference in studying hadith and the sciences within it. This article serves as a resource to explore the role of at-Tarmasi (d. 1920 AD) in the advancement of hadith education in the archipelago through his book Manhaj Dzawin Al-Nazhar. Using a historical approach as a step to seek in-depth information. The steps taken by the author involve four stages: heuristic, criticism, understanding, and destruction, which result in the conclusion that the book Manhaj Dzawin Al-Nazhar is a book of ulumul hadis that serves as a reference for scholars in the archipelago to study hadith. This book also provides seekers of knowledge with an understanding of the importance of a system for studying hadith, which has been adopted by many scholars from the archipelago to teach hadith education in the region

Abstract

This article aims to study, identify, and compare the epistemology of contextual and textual interpretation of Wahbah Al-Zuhaili and Sayyid in interpreting Surah Al-Ma>’idah verses 44, 45, and 47. This research is qualitative with a comparative analysis method based on library research. The results of this study indicate that Al-Zuhaili interpreted the verses contextually without absolutely justifying infidels by applying specific khit}a>b targets and detailing the context of the infidel status, so that his views are flexible by prioritizing the realization of maqa>s}id al-shari>’ah. Al-Zuhaili's interpretation is based on sources and methods of interpretation that integrate al- ma’thur>r and al-ma’qu>l guided by the analysis of narrations, opinions of companions, and tabi’in, aspects of Islamic knowledge, and opinions of scholars and interpreters. Meanwhile, Sayyid Qutb's interpretation is textual by universalizing the status of kafir for anyone who does not rule by Allah's law, anytime and anywhere. Qutb's interpretation is based on the integration of history and reason with an emphasis on the goals of ideology within the framework of al-tas}awwur al-islam>mi> with an approach to analysis of history, muna>sabah, and reflection on reality. The similarity between the two is that both uphold the authority of history and believe that Allah is the main source of law in all aspects of life and those who deny Him doctrinally (belief) are included as kafir.

Abstract

In the Banten Province region, which is known for its cultural and social diversity, gender dynamics are very important to understand. Although women in Banten contribute significantly to various aspects of life, such as economic, social, and political, they often face challenges related to patriarchal gender norms. Historically, women in Banten have played an important role in social and economic life. This research method uses a qualitative approach with the aim of deeply understanding the experiences, views, and perceptions of women in Banten regarding their position and role in society. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews and also using the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method, which was held with groups of women to discuss issues related to gender, social roles, and the challenges they face. Women in the Banten region contribute significantly to the economic sector, especially in the informal sector. This result can be seen from data from the Banten Central Statistics Agency (BPS) (2021), around 60% of women in Banten work in the informal sector, which often does not provide legal protection and social security. The results of the study show that women's representation in decision-making in Banten is still low. Data from BPS Banten (2021) shows that only around 15% of women hold strategic positions in local government. Barriers faced by women in politics include lack of support from family, gender stereotypes, and lack of access to political education

Abstract

This study aims to explore the concept of integrity from the perspective of the Qur'an using the thematic study method (maudhu'i) combined with a grounded theory approach. The background of this study departs from the problem of the integrity crisis that plagues contemporary society, such as rampant corruption, information manipulation, and a weak sense of responsibility. The Qur'an as the holy book of Muslims presents fundamental values that are relevant to address these challenges. By using the method of collecting and analyzing Qur'anic verses related to integrity (amanah, shidq, istiqamah, and responsibility), this study found that Qur'anic integrity encompasses spiritual and social dimensions. The grounded theory approach allows for the formation of a new theoretical construction of integrity based on the Qur'an, which not only provides honesty in social interactions but also continues to spiritual commitment to Allah SWT. This study concludes that integrity in the Qur'an is a transcendental value that is the basis for the formation of a civilized person and society.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the integration of ecological principles and gender equality within the Qur’anic ethical framework by analyzing selected verses through Tafsir Al- Misbah and Tafsir Al-Azhar. The problem addressed is the gap in understanding the Qur’anic perspective that links environmental preservation with inclusive gender participation. The study employs a thematic interpretation method (tafsir maudhu’i) combined with qualitative literature review and case studies. The results reveal that the Qur’an affirms the principles of balance (mīzān), prohibition of corruption (fasād), and equitable utilization of resources as a mandate of human stewardship (khalīfah). Furthermore, it recognizes equal contributions of men and women in righteous deeds, including environmental protection. The analysis shows that environmental degradation is not only a physical problem but also a moral, social, and structural issue, requiring inclusive cross-gender solutions. The findings contribute to expanding the maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah by incorporating ḥifẓ al-bī’ah (environmental preservation) as an essential objective, and they provide a foundation for integrating Qur’anic eco-theology and gender justice into Islamic education curricula.

Abstract

The importance of planning in life, especially since many people do not understand it and tend to act hastily. Planning is the first step to achieving goals through the determination of the necessary steps. The purpose of this research is to analyse the verses of planning from the perspective of Al-Quran and al-Hadist. This research is included in the type of qualitative research , more precisely descriptive qualitative with library research data sources or literature, whose findings are not achieved by statistical procedures. The results of this study indicate that Q.S Al-Hasyr Verse 18: This verse calls Muslims to piety and self-reflection in preparation for the hereafter. Piety to Allah is the core of faith, and every action will be accounted for. Q.S Fathir Verse 11: This verse emphasises that the creation of man and all events, including life and death, are within the knowledge and decree of Allah. Q.S Al-Anfal Verse 60: This verse calls for thorough preparation in the face of the enemy, covering various aspects of life, not just military. Planning in the Perspective of Al-Hadith, Rasulullah SAW emphasised the importance of planning in every activity. Hadith teaches that every deed should be planned with clear intentions. He said about time: ‘Be thou in this world as a traveller...’ reminds us to make good use of time. The word about intention: ‘A deed is accompanied by its intention...’ emphasises the importance of intention in every action.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of time in the Qur'an, especially through Surah Al-'Ashr. This research compares Tafsir Al-Misbah by Mohammad Quraish Shihab and Tafsir Al-Azhar by Hamka, providing an opportunity to understand various dimensions of time management from an Islamic perspective. Both interpretations can provide different insights. The purpose of this research is to compare the analysis of time management in QS AL-'Ashr in the interpretations of Al-Misbah and Al-Azhar. Then this research uses a literature study method using a qualitative descriptive approach. This method is a research method by collecting information or data through journals, books, notes, interpretations with other sources. The results of this study explain that Tafsir Al-Misbah and Tafsir Al-Azhar do have important contributions to the tradition of interpretation in Indonesia, with different characteristics. Similarities: 1) the purpose of interpretation: both aim to provide a deep understanding of the Qur'an as a guide to life; 2) interdisciplinary approach: integrating various disciplines to expand the meaning of the verse; 3) the use of references: referring to classical sources and scholarly opinions, showing commitment to the scientific tradition; 4) social and cultural influences: linking the teachings of the Qur'an with the social and cultural context of society. while for the differences: 1) author and background: al-misbah was written by muhammad quraish shihab with a narrative approach, while al-azhar by buya hamka with a focus on fiqh issues; 2) thematic approach: al-misbah is more thematic and reflective, while al-azhar is systematic and analytical; 3) language style: al-misbah uses poetic language, while al-azhar is more formal and academic; 5) context focus: al-misbah emphasises Indonesian social and cultural issues, while al-azhar is more on religious and legal contexts

Abstract

The correlation between tafsir and ta’wil in the methodology of Qur'anic interpretation aims to understand how these two approaches complement each other in the process of interpreting the verses of the Qur'an. Tafsir generally focuses on the literal and contextual explanation of Qur'anic verses, while ta’wil delves into deeper, esoteric meanings, particularly in ambiguous (mutashabihat) verses. Using a qualitative approach and literature review, this research analyzes classical and contemporary exegesis to identify how scholars across different eras combine these approaches. The findings reveal that the correlation between tafsir and ta’wil enriches the overall understanding of the Qur'an. Classical scholars tend to separate tafsir and ta’wil methodologically, whereas contemporary scholars often integrate both approaches to address modern challenges, such as social change and interpretative pluralism. This study emphasizes the importance of synergy between tafsir and ta’wil in developing a more comprehensive and relevant method of Qur'anic interpretation in the contemporary era.

Abstract

This article analyses the changing communication patterns of society in the digital era through the perspective of the Quran, focusing on the use of social media and communication ethics. The digital era has changed the way people interact and share information, making social media the main tool of communication. This transformation brings significant benefits but also challenges in maintaining communication ethics in accordance with Islamic values. The Quran provides guidance on good communication, including verification of information, good manners, dissemination of useful content, and maintaining privacy. This analysis highlights the importance of applying Quranic principles in the use of social media to avoid the spread of false information, hatred and privacy violations. With the integration of Islamic values, users can create a more positive and harmonious communication environment. This study concludes that the changing communication patterns in the digital era require greater awareness and responsibility, but also offer opportunities to build a better digital community through the application of Quranic communication ethics
