Abstract

The recitation of the Qur'an has become a ubiquitous practice in mosques and Islamic boarding schools, fostering a profound acculturation between Arab culture and local culture. This phenomenon is particularly evident in institutions such as the Ponpes Ulul Albab Mosque, where the ritualistic recitation of the Qur'an serves as a cornerstone of religious and cultural identity. This research employs a phenomenological and ethnomethodological approach to evaluate the effectiveness and societal responses to this activity. By examining the lived experiences and social interactions surrounding Qur'anic recitation, this study aims to elucidate the complex dynamics involved in the cultural transmission of Islamic practices. The findings of this research indicate a positive acceptance from the community, with significant affective, cognitive, and conative impacts. The affective dimension reveals a profound emotional resonance among participants, as the recitation of the Qur'an evokes feelings of spiritual connection and communal solidarity. The cognitive dimension highlights the intellectual engagement and understanding that arises from the meticulous study and recitation of the sacred text. Furthermore, the conative dimension underscores the motivational and behavioral changes observed among participants, as they strive to perfect their recitation skills and integrate these practices into their daily lives. This study contributes significantly to the understanding of modern religious practices and cultural interactions in the context of Qur'anic recitation in mosques.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal and analyze the phenomenon of Thibaq contained in Surah al-Ahzab and to decipher the meaning of the verses contained in Thibaq. This research is a type of qualitative research with data collection techniques based on literature study. The research results show that there are two types of Thibaq in surah al-Ahzab, namely Thibaq ijab and Thibaq salb, where Thibaq ijab is found in 7 verses while Thibaq salb is found in 1 verse. In surah al-Ahzab there are 8 verses that contain Thibaq elements.

Abstract

Kinship Care is a form of childcare by close relatives such as grandparents, aunts, uncles, or siblings when biological parents cannot fulfill their parenting responsibilities. In Indonesia, Kinship Care often arises in the context of poverty, migration, parental death, or the inability of parents to care for their children for various reasons, including death, illness, or legal issues. This research is a desk study using Wilhelm Dilthey's hermeneutic analysis method to explore three aspects, namely Erlebnis (experience), Ausdruck (expression), and Verstehen (understanding), in Surah Ali 'Imran verses 37 and 44. The results of this study conclude that in the Kinship Care pattern, Zakariya has four patterns in caring for Maryam, security and support, space for children, financial security, dialogue and appreciation for children. Then, suggestions for further research related to Kinship Care studies to explore broader patterns using different hermeneutical theories and different figures in the Qur'an can also be taken in relevance to different contexts so that they can reach ideal patterns for Kinship Care studies.

Abstract

Repetition (al-Tikrar) is one of the language styles used in the Qur'an. Currently, many hufadz of the Qur'an start memorizing from surah 30. The problem is that as a Muslim, he must increase his interaction with the Qur'an from reading, memorizing, understanding and practicing it. The purpose of this research is to know and understand the meaning of repetition style in the Qur'an based on the theory of qawa'id at Tafsir by Uthman al Sabt, to identify and know the letters in chapter 30 which contains At Tikrar's rules, to understand the analysis of At Tikrar's rules. Researchers conducted this research through library research with a qualitative descriptive analysis research type. The researcher used the main source of the book Qawa'id at Tafsir, Jam'an wa Dirasatan by Khalid bin 'Utsman Al-Sabt. Secondary sources are the Al-Qur'an Juz 'Amma (juz 30) and the Book of Tafsir Jami' al Bayan 'an Ta'wil Ay al-Qur'an by Imam Al-Tabari. This study found that the language style of At Tikrar in Al Qur'an Juz 30 is found in 35 of the 37 surahs al mufashalat (short). In almost all surahs there are verses, sentences, or words that are repeated, either in pronunciation or editorial or repetition of meaning, except for two surahs that do not have repetition of meaning or lafazh, namely the 105th Surah Al-Fil and the 108th Surah Al-Kauthar.

Abstract

This research contains an analysis of tasybih in the novel Arsis by Ahmed Al-hamdan. In this novel, there is a language style with meanings and various redactions that are still vague if not understood with the science of bayan. The purpose of this research is to determine the types and objectives of tasybih based on the bayan science approach. Qualitative description is the method used in this study. This research includes library research-based research  that uses the novel Arsis by Ahmed Al-Hamdan as a data source. And sentences that contain tasybih in the novel as a type of data. Data provision using the technique of watching and recording. The data will be studied, then marked and recorded, and then analyzed with the analysis of the science of bayan. The result of this research is that the novel Arsis by Ahmed Al-Hamdan has tasybih mursal, tasybih mufashshal, tasybih mujmal, and tasybih baligh. Meanwhile, tasybih mu'akkad is not found in the novel. The purpose of tasyb³h contained in the novel only includes taqriru halil musyabbah, baynu halil musyabbah, baynu imknil musyabbah, baynu miqdri hlil musyabbah, and taqb³hul musyabbah. While tazyinul musyabbah is not found in the novel. This research strengthens the theory and description of the understanding of tasyb³h based on the analysis of the novel Arsis by Ahmed Al-Hamdan.

Abstract

Ilmu Nahwu merupakan fondasi utama dalam cabang linguistik bahasa Arab yang mulai berkembang sejak abad pertama Hijriyah. Seiring waktu, ilmu ini mengalami perkembangan pesat, yang terlihat dari banyaknya karya-karya ilmiah yang mengulas berbagai metode dalam nahwu. Selain itu, sejak abad kedua Hijriyah, mulai bermunculan berbagai aliran dengan pendekatan masing-masing, seperti aliran Basrah, Kufah, Bagdad, Andalusia, hingga Mesir yang berkembang sampai abad kelima Hijriyah. Dalam konteks perkembangan keilmuan di era modern, para pakar bahasa Arab telah melakukan berbagai usaha reformulatif dan simplifikasi terhadap struktur bahasa Arab agar lebih mudah dipahami oleh peserta didik, baik dari wilayah Arab maupun dari luar kawasan tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan penjelasan mengenai konsep Tawābi’ dan Quyūd, serta mengidentifikasi metode pembelajaran yang tepat bagi siswa tingkat menengah, termasuk bagaimana penerapannya secara efektif. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam memperluas wawasan para pendidik dan peserta didik dalam bidang ilmu nahwu, khususnya pada pembahasan Tawābi’ dan Quyūd, melalui pendekatan pembelajaran yang relevan dan aplikatif. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the form and meaning of amr as well as the structural components of imperative sentences in the book Ṣuwar min Ḥayātiṣ-Ṣaḥābah by Dr. Abdurrahman Ra’fat Al-Basha, using a semantic approach. This approach focuses on the meaning of language within a specific context. A semantic approach allows for an analysis of how the meaning of amr can vary depending on its situational usage, whether literal (Ḥaqīqī) or figurative (majāzī). The research method employed is descriptive-analytic, which serves to describe and provide an overview of the object under study through collected data or samples. The data were obtained from excerpts containing imperative verbs (fiʻl amr), which were classified according to their form and implied meaning, and then analyzed based on the theory of amr proposed by Ahmad Al-Hāsyimī. The results of this study indicate that the concept of amr in Ṣuwar min Ḥayātiṣ-Ṣaḥābah encompasses seven meanings: 55 instances of literal command (Ḥaqīqī), 2 of honoring (ikrām), 4 of permission (iʾzn), 28 of supplication (duʿāʾ), 43 of guidance (irshād), 17 of request among equals (iltimās), and 8 of threat (tahdīd). Morphologically, the imperative forms appear in two patterns: fiʻl mujarrad (basic/root verbs) and fiʻl mazīd (augmented verbs), both transitive and intransitive. Syntactically, the structure of amr typically follows the pattern: verb (fiʻl) – subject (fāʻil) – object (mafʻūl bih) – preposition (ḥarf jar) and vocative (nida'). Abstract

Differences are inevitable, taking any form imaginable, from who gets to define right and wrong to who makes it to the afterlife. This is a question that sparks crucial discussions among religionists. Tafsir scholars certainly have their own interpretations of verses relating to the afterlife and views of salvation. Religious pluralism is something that is difficult to avoid, because it is impossible to gather various beliefs under one religious banner. However, can this plurality in religion be recognized by all religions or is it only a group of people who claim justification for themselves and their group who will truly gain salvation? Departing from this background, the author presents several discussions that will be discussed in this article, namely: the meaning of religious pluralism, verses from the Qur'an about religious pluralism, biographies of commentators, interpretation of pluralism verses according to tafsir books, as well as comparative writers of tafsir and the interpretation of the pluralism verses that they wrote in their tafsir. The purpose of this article is to reveal a comparison of the interpretation of pluralism verses and to compare the biographies of the authors in terms of their interpretation methodology. The method used by the author in this article is a qualitative method with a narrative study approach which focuses on the biography or background of each interpreter and their views on pluralism verses which are being widely studied at this time.

Abstract

Background: Arabic news texts have many complex sentences, and the identity of the agent or subject of the sentence is frequently withheld. In addition, the study of case grammar on Arabic news is still relatively minimal and rarely discussed by many people. Purpose: This study aims to identify and describe deeply the propositional case and the classification of verbs as propositional elements in the news text in the rubric “Akhbār Indūnīsyā”. Method: This research uses analytic descriptive method with a case grammar approach. The data source in this research is the rubric “Akhbār Indūnīsyā” on al-jazeera.net website. The techniques used in this research are reading, note taking, purposive sampling, and PUP (pilah unsur penentu) techniques. Results and Discussion: The results show that there are 10 data about propositions contained in the rubric “Akhbār Indūnīsyā” with various propositional cases and verbs classification. Conclusions and Implications: Based on this research results, it was found: (1) 10 propositional cases, namely agentive cases, experiencer cases, instrumental cases, benefactive cases, objective cases, locative cases, source cases, goal cases, time cases, and comitative cases; and (2) 3 verbs classifications, namely state verbs, process verbs, and action verbs. The findings of this research strengthen the relevance of case grammar theory in analyzing the logical structure (semantic structure) of complex sentences. The application of propositional case roles such as agentive, experiencer, benefactive, objective, and location in nouns and case frames in verbs proved effective in revealing meaning relationships in Arabic news texts. This indicates that case grammar theory has cross-linguistic flexibility and can be applied to Semitic languages including Arabic. Understanding the semantic roles in sentences can help Arabic learners interpret texts more critically, especially in journalistic literature that are rich in information construction. In addition, language practitioners such as translators, journalists, and teachers can utilize this approach to deepen their understanding of implicit meanings in news texts. In addition, this research offers room for more extensive further research, such as the application of case grammar theory to non-news texts such as literary texts, religious texts, or academic texts in Arabic.

Abstract

Education plays a strategic role in shaping national character. In Indonesia’s culturally rich context, an educational approach based on local wisdom is essential to preserve traditional values. This article aims to explain the concept of local wisdom-based education, examine its relevance from the perspective of the Qur’an and Hadith, and explore its application in Islamic education. Employing a qualitative content analysis of relevant literature, this study reveals that integrating local values—when not in conflict with Islamic principles—can strengthen cultural identity and foster noble character in students. The theoretical contribution of this study lies in reinforcing a contextual Islamic education paradigm through the synergy between local culture and Islamic values. Key implementation aspects include curriculum integration, contextual learning methods, and the role of religious institutions.ABSTRAKPendidikan memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk karakter bangsa. Dalam konteks Indonesia yang kaya akan budaya, pendekatan pendidikan berbasis kearifan lokal menjadi penting sebagai bentuk pelestarian nilai-nilai tradisional. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan konsep pendidikan berbasis kearifan lokal, menelaah relevansinya dalam perspektif Al-Qur’an dan Hadis, serta mengeksplorasi implementasinya dalam pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi (qualitative content analysis) terhadap literatur yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi nilai-nilai lokal yang tidak bertentangan dengan syariat Islam dapat memperkuat identitas budaya sekaligus membentuk akhlak mulia peserta didik. Kontribusi teoritis kajian ini terletak pada penguatan paradigma pendidikan Islam yang kontekstual melalui sinergi budaya lokal dan nilai-nilai keislaman. Integrasi nilai lokal dalam kurikulum, metode pembelajaran, serta peran lembaga keagamaan menjadi kunci dalam implementasinya.
