Abstract

The increasing phenomenon of moral deviance in students seen in the millennial era is really worrying for the world of education, so one of the efforts to shape the religious character of students is through the tahfidz al-Qur'an program. This research aims to determine the implementation of the tahfidz Al- Qur'an program and the formation of the religious character of students. An important aspect of this research is the implementation of the tahfidz Al-Qur'an program and the formation of religious character which includes: Methods, stages, indicators as well as supporting and inhibiting factors for the formation of the tahfidz Al-Qur'an program internally and externally at the Darussalam Koto Anau Islamic Boarding School. This research uses a qualitative approach. The data collection methods used are observation, interviews and documentation methods. The research results show (1) The implementation of the tahfidz Al-Qur'an program is good and running smoothly; (2) The formation of the religious character of students is said to be good by applying methods of example, habituation, advice and methods of reward and punishment. The stages are the stages of knowledge, awareness, practice, habituation and maintaining religious character values. Indicators for the formation of religious character include: akhlakul karimah, polite speech, congregational prayers, dhuha prayers, praying before and after learning, saying greetings when meeting, morning imtaq activities and reading yasin and ratib on Friday nights. Internal supporting factors: health, intelligence and motivation. External factors: cooperation of all parties, competent tahfidz teachers, time management, government response, internal inhibiting factors: laziness, impatience, despair, difficulty managing time and often forgetting. External factors: economic capabilities and material density.

Abstract

The backdrop or circumstances that preceded the revelation of a Qur'anic verse are referred to as Asbabun Nuzul. Since it gives the social, political, and cultural background for the Qur'anic verses, understanding this idea is crucial to understanding them. One efficient method for thoroughly exploring and comprehending subjects, particularly those pertaining to the study of concepts like Asbabun Nuzul, is to employ a qualitative research approach employing the library research method. The study's findings demonstrate that both classical and modern academics value the idea of Asbabun Nuzul, which explains the rationale for the Qur'anic verses' revelation. Classical scholars like Ibn Kathir and Al- Tabari stress how crucial it is to comprehend the historical background in order to correctly interpret the scriptures. Sayyid Qutb and Fazlur Rahman, two modern scholars, agree that Asbabun Nuzul is significant, but they also stress that the lessons of the Qur'an are still applicable in today's world. All things considered, Asbabun Nuzul aids in accurately and practically comprehending passages in both historical and modern situations.

Abstract

Community Learning Activity Center Ibnu Taimiyyah Bukittinggi is an educational foundation established since 2019 in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra, which aims to produce generation of qur'ani and become da'wah educational institution. To achieve this goal, policy was formed that adopted Qur'anic values. However, some regulation makers don’t understand the science of tafsir to interpretation the surah for school regulations. This study examines process of developing regulations that integrate Qur'anic values, the verses used in making regulations, and perspective of tafsir maqasidhi on the understanding of the parties making regulations at PKBM Ibnu Taimiyyah Bukittinggi. This study aims to analyze the suitability of tafsir maqasidhi with regulations at PKBM Ibnu Taimiyyah bukittinggi. The methodology is empirical research, with qualitative approach, which is based on primary data of observations or interviews. The study findings indicate that the rules made at PKBM Ibnu Taimiyyah refer to surah al-'Asr, surah al-Isra verse 32, and surah al- Muzzammil verse 4. All rules based on these surahs are in accordance with the meaning of the interpretation of each surah and in accordance with maqashidi because there are still some parties who make regulations understand the science of tafsir even though others don’t understand the science of tafsir interpretation

Abstract

Modern life is often filled with challenges and distractions that can test a person's faith and piety. Therefore, implementing faith and piety in everyday life is very important. This article discusses how individuals can integrate the values of faith and piety in the context of modern life. Faith is the foundation of belief in God and religious teachings. In the midst of modern life which is busy and full of pressure, maintaining a strong faith requires high awareness and commitment. One important step is to involve yourself in regular worship such as prayer, reading the Koran, and dhikr. Additionally, interacting with religious communities and getting guidance from clerics can help strengthen faith. Taqwa, on the other hand, reflects a person's piety and devotion to God. In a modern context, piety can be realized through good actions, high work ethics, and behavior based on moral principles. Maintaining integrity in business, doing good to others, and avoiding sinful acts are part of implementing piety in everyday life. The importance of combining faith and piety in modern life is to create harmony between spirituality and world life. It helps individuals cope with stress, live life meaningfully, and carry out their responsibilities with integrity. Thus, the implementation of faith and piety in modern life is the key to achieving spiritual and material prosperity in this increasingly complex world.

Abstract

This abstract aims to explain the potentials contained in the verses of thr Qur’an that inspired and motivate human self-developemnt. The problem raised is how the potential contained in surah An-Nahl verse 78 which discusses the physical and mental development of humans starting from the womb, with a focus on basic abilities such as hearing, sight and reason, all of which are intended to increase human awareness and gratitude for the grace of Allah, as well as the potential contained in surah Asy-Syams verses 8-10 whish will give birth to good and behavior in each individual, according to how they use inspiration from Allah’s prohibiton to approach zina, this prohibition functions as a preventive measure to protect the honor of individuals and families, and prevent wider social damage. This study uses a library research method with a descriptive approach, as well as data collection techniques through documentation. The results of the analysis show that the Qur’an reminds us of Allah’s blessings and the importance of using them wisely. These verses also teach noble and responsible behavior, and encourage awareness to maintain self-honor and family. By understanding the potential contained their abilities and live a more meaningful life. This study is expected to provide a positive contribution in understanding the moral and spiritual values contained in the Qur’an as a guide in developing self-potential.

Abstract

This research aims to describe literacy in the Qur'an: Building a Scientific Tradition and Revelation-Based Civilization. This research method uses library research methods, a type of research that involves the use of resources found in libraries such as books, journals, articles and databases. , to gather information on a specific topic. Literacy in the Al-Quran, especially in Surah Al-Alaq verses 1-5, Al-Isra verse 14, Al-Baqarah verse 44, and At-Taubah verse 122. This analysis shows that the Al-Quran encourages humans to seek knowledge and understanding. through various aspects of literacy. Surah Al-Alaq verses 1-5 emphasize the importance of reading and writing as the main foundation in achieving knowledge and faith. Al-Isra verse 14 teaches the importance of seeking knowledge anywhere and from anyone, even from younger people. Al-Baqarah verse 44 teaches that seeking knowledge aims to increase faith and devotion to Allah SWT. Finally, At- Taubah verse 122 emphasizes the importance of seeking knowledge to distinguish between truth and falsehood. That literacy in Islam is not just about reading and writing, but also about understanding the meaning and values contained therein. Abstract

The article discusses the Qur’an, as the holy book of Muslims, not only has linguistic an spritual miracles, but also contains scientific miracles that are relevant to the development of modern science. I’jaz Al-Qur’an refers to the miracle of the language and structure of the Qur’anic text that cannot be imitated by anyone, while the miracles of the Qur’an include extraordinary aspects that prove the truth of divine revelation. This article aims to examine the relationship between I’jaz and the miracles of the Qur’an, especially in the context of modern science. This study includes a review of various verses of the Qur’an related to natural phenomena, biology, astronomy, and physics. This article shows that the miracles of the Qur’an are not only in the spritual and linguistic dimensions, but are also scientifically proven in the context of modern times. This study reveals that the miracles of the Qur’an have infinite dimensions, which continuously challenge human understanding of the universe and provide stronger evidence of the truth of divine revelation.

Abstract

In the context of an increasingly pluralistic society, interfaith interaction becomes a crucial aspect in creating social harmony. This article explores theological perspectives on religious diversity (religionum) and how it plays a role in a pluralistic society. Using a comparative approach, this article analyzes the basic principles upheld by various religious traditions and identifies significant points of similarity and difference. The main focus is to understand how the theology of each religion responds to and interacts with diversity, and how these values can support interfaith dialogue and social tolerance. The analysis results reveal that despite fundamental differences in teachings and practices, there are universal values that can serve as bridges for dialogue and cooperation. This research also highlights the importance of inclusive and dialogical approaches in addressing issues related to religious pluralism. Thus, it is hoped that these theological insights can contribute to enhancing tolerance and peaceful coexistence in diverse societies.

Abstract

All Muslims, both naql experts and aql experts, have agreed that hadith/sunnah is the basis of Islamic law, namely one of the sources of Islamic law and also agree on the obligation to follow hadith as required to follow the Al-Qur`an. Many verses of the Qur'an and Al- Hadith explain that hadith is a source of Islamic law besides the Al-Qur'an which must be followed as follows the Al-Qur'an, both in the form ofawamir and nawahnya.

Abstract

Approach to Islamic Studies from a Multicultural Perspective. The Islamic study approach based on the view of multiculturalism is a paradigm in which Islam is part of the study of a pluralistic society which prioritizes tolerance and mutual respect for the differences that exist in society with different concepts of understanding Islam at the technical and practical levels in each region. The approach to Islamic studies in the theological aspect based on a multicultural view is an approach that prioritizes the washatiyah side, which implements the concept of mutual respect for diversity by finding a middle way based on peace, benefit and balance in life with fellow Muslims who are different in terms of religious ritual practices. The Islamic study approach to aspects of philosophy based on a multicultural view is an approach in which Islam does not separate aspects of philosophy that developed previously, where in terms of practicing Islamic beliefs it has a combination of philosophy between culture and Islam and has different varieties. So Islam must actually be able to combine different philosophical concepts for the good of society. The Islamic study approach to historical aspects based on a multicultural view emphasizes the historical acculturation aspect. Where in Islam it does not abandon existing past history, but instead history is the most important part of Islam and the development of Islam is due to its long history which is the motivation to survive until now. Likewise, when Islam applies to societies that have different histories, Islam connects their history as part of developing and advancing in civilization. The approach to Islamic studies in the sociological aspect is based on the multicultural view that Islam always respects differences in culture, race and ethnicity. Tolerance for differences is very high, so it is easily accepted in society, because the principle on which it is built is rahmatan lil alamin
