Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work discipline and work motivation on employee performance at PT. J&T Express Baturaja Branch. The data collection technique used in this study was through the distribution of questionnaires. The population size was 33 people. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression. Based on the partial analysis results, there is a positive effect of work discipline on employee performance with a t-value of 6.677. The work motivation variable has a positive effect on employee performance with a t-value of 4.392. Simultaneously, it was found that work discipline and work motivation have an effect on employee performance at PT. J&T Express Baturaja Branch with a calculated F-value 0f 157,854 > 3,32. The coefficient of determination (R2) obtained was 0.913. This indicates that the contribution of work discipline and work motivation to employee performance is 91.3%, while the remaining 8.7% is influenced by other variables outside this study, namely leadership style, work environment, workload, and job satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of exports, imports, and foreign direct investment on economic growth in Indonesia. The data used in this study were obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) for the period 2015–2024. The analytical method applied is quantitative analysis using multiple linear regression. Data processing was conducted through statistical testing and classical assumption testing. However, during the analysis process, a high multicollinearity symptom was found between the export and import variables. Therefore, the import variable was eliminated to obtain more stable and valid results, and the analysis continued with export and foreign direct investment as the independent variables. The results show that simultaneously (F-test), export and foreign direct investment significantly influence economic growth in Indonesia. Partially (t-test), both export and foreign direct investment have a positive and significant effect on economic growth. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.763, indicating that the joint contribution of export and foreign direct investment to the variation in economic growth is 76.3%, while the remaining 23.7% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study, such as household consumption, government expenditure, domestic investment, labor conditions, exchange rate stability, inflation, and global economic development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of supervision, rewards, and sanctions on the work discipline of employees at the Secretariat Office of the Lahat Regency DPRD. The research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method through questionnaires. The research population consisted of all 72 employees, and the sampling technique used saturated sampling. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination test with the help of SPSS. The results showed that partially, supervision, rewards, and sanctions have a significant effect on work discipline. Simultaneously, these three independent variables also have a significant effect on work discipline with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.767 or 76.7%, while the remaining 23.3% is influenced by other variables outside the study. Sanctions are the variable with the most dominant influence. Based on these findings, it is recommended that management can improve the effectiveness of supervision through a structured system, develop varied performance-based reward systems, and apply sanctions consistently and fairly to enhance and maintain sustainable employee work discipline.
