Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (R&D) yang dibuat berdasarkan Kompetensi Inti Kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan instrumen analisis kesalahan untuk mengukur critical thinking skills matematika siswa SMA yang valid dan reliabel, dan untuk mengetahui kemampuan critical thinking matematika siswa SMA setelah diberikan instrumen. Penelitian ini meliputi beberapa langkah, yaitu: (1) menyusun spesifikasi tes, (2) menulis soal tes, (3) menelaah soal tes, (4) melakukan uji coba tes, (5) menganalisis butir soal, (6) memperbaiki tes, dan (7) merakit tes. Uji coba instrumen dilakukan di kelas X SMAN Jatiwangi, dengan jumlah keseluruhan subjek uji coba sebanyak 30 siswa. Teknik dalam mengumpulkan data pada penelitian pengembangan ini adalah tes tertulis, sedangkan instrumen pengumpulan datanya berupa soal uraian, pilihan ganda dan jawaban singkat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa instrumen yang dibuat sebanyak 41 butir soal ini valid dan reliabel. Hal ini berdasarkan perhitungan yang menggunakan rumus Aiken, bahwa nilai V-Aiken pada semua butir soal  0,3, dan dengan nilai Cronbach's Alpha sebesar 0,738. Hasil dari uji coba instrumen ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan critical thinking matematika siswa kelas X baik. Hal ini dapat diketahui dari nilai rata-rata hasil uji coba ≥ 65, yaitu sebesar 70,98 dalam skala 100.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to mapped the higher order thinking skills of students in solving PISA and TIMSS standards based test item based on indicators that had been compiled, as one of the effort to determine the right thing to do to increase the quality of education. The indicators in this research were the ability of analysis, evaluation, and creation. This research use a descriptive qualitative and quantitative approach. The data collection methods in this research were documentation, test, and interview. From 71 students spread across many Junior High Islamic Scoolls in Cirebon city, 2 students classified as having high order thinking skills with moderate level. Students in moderate level are found to be able to perform analysis, evaluation, and creation well in resolving some of the problems. Furthermore, 69 students are not able to perform analytical skills, evaluation, and creation well in solving all the problems, so they are considered to have low level in high order thinking skill. The difference of the student’s ability due to the lack of motivation students and teachers in improving the ability of HOTS in learning. An increase in HOTS of students can be done to improve standards evaluation, improve the quality of the process and the result of learning, as well as increase the motivation students and teachers. This research can be applied to measure student’s high order thinking skill in order to increase  the quality of education according to international standards.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce valid mathematical learning devices, learning the practical implementation and effective learning. This type of research is the development of a modified model of Plomp, with four phases without including the implementation phase after phase of testing, evaluation, and revision. The effectiveness of learning is obtained by performing the test on the population of students of MTs Darul Masholeh Cirebon by selecting a sample of VIII A grade as class treatment by purposive sampling technique. Results of software development: 1) a valid learning device: With a maximum score of 5.00 was obtained syllabus with an average score of 4.26 (very good); RPP with a score of 4.23 (very good); LKS with a score of 4.14 (good); Textbook students with a score of 4.15 (good); and TKBK with a score of 4.28 (very good); 2) practical learning tools, namely: a) applicability device during the learning process has an average of 4.26 (very good), b) the positive student response to average 4.01 (good); 3) Learning effective, namely: a) The ability to think critically mathematical students completed, either individually with an average value of 76.88 and classical ≥ 85%; b) the positive influence the character of independence and activity of critical thinking ability of students to mathematical students of 81.7%; c) The average difference between the mathematical critical thinking skills of students whose learning using PBL with cognitive conflict strategy with conventional learning students; and d) An increase in the value of critical thinking skills mathematically. Keywords: Problem Based Learning (PBL), Cognitive Conflict Strategy, Critical Thinking, Independence, Valid, Practical, Effective.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the cognitive profile of students' creative thinking on learning mathematics model Jigsaw through discovery learning approach. The method used in this research is a quantitative method that is experimental with one-shot case study design study. Student response to the application of jigsaw learning model through discovery learning approach showed a positive response, with average percentage 69.2% and included in strong category, while for the average mastery of class 78,51. The students' creative thinking ability after being given treatment by applying jigsaw learning model through discovery learning approach has increased. From the observations during the learning at each meeting experienced a significant increase, with the average percentage of 53.81% included into the good category. Then it can be concluded that the creative thinking ability of class VIII I students in MTs Negeri 1 Kota Cirebon during learning by using jigsaw model through discovery learning approach is said to have good categorization.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui profil kognitif berfikir kreatif siswa pada pembelajaran matematika model Jigsaw melalui pendekatan discovery learning. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif yang bersifat eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one shot case study. Respon siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran jigsaw melalui pendekatan discovery learning menunjukan respon yang positif, dengan rata-rata persentase 69,2% dan termasuk dalam kategori kuat, sedangkan untuk ketuntasan rata-rata kelas 78,51. Kemampuan berfikir kreatif siswa setelah diberikan perlakuan dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran jigsaw melalui pendekatan discovery learning mengalami kenaikan. Dari hasil pengamatan selama pembelajaran di setiap pertemuannya mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan, dengan persentase rata-rata sebesar 53,81% termasuk kedalam kategori baik. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan berfikir kreatif siswa kelas VIII I di MTs Negeri 1 Kota Cirebon selama pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model jigsaw melalui pendekatan discovery learning dikatakan berkategori baik.

Abstract

This study aims to exploration of traditional crafts Tapis Lampung as ilustration STEM. This research is a qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. The results showed that (1) Science: as an illustration of the ability of scientific knowledge and biological acculturation processes found in animal motive that describe the elements of science, such as the Tapis Tuho motive which has dragon animal motives, aro wood, stars silver, and sasab titled. (2) Technology: as an illustration of new technologies emerging from globalization with the entry of Islam in Lampung, the implications for communication and traffic between the Indonesian archipelago so that the use of shipping transportation is needed, can be explored from the existence of a Tapis Single Ship which shows the diversity of forms and construction. (3) Technology: as an illustration of engineering technology that is developed through an design process by integrating other elements, it can be explored from the mountains motives, dragon ship motives, and hill motives that resemble bridges. (4) Mathematics: as a geometrical illustration of transformation, which can be expressed as a form of translation, rotation), reflection, and dilation.. Through the investigation of Tapis Lampung, it can be used as a source to disseminate and provide information about Indonesian local wisdom to the world.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the effectiveness of Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Discovery Learning (DL) learning models concerning of problem-solving abilities of grade students of 4 Pandak Junior High School. This type of research is quasi-experiment with The Nonequivalent Posttest-Only Control Group Design. The population of this research is students grade  state of 4 Pandak Junior High School. The samples for this research are students grade A and students grade B. The instruments of this research are observation, test, and documentation. Then data analysis techniques are a normality test using Kolmogorov Smirnov, homogenity test using Levene’s test, and hypothesis test use T-test with 0,05 as it significantly. The final result of this research are (1) Problem Based Learning (PBL) models in terms of students mathematical problem-solving skills is effective are students grade  of 4 Pandak Junior High School, it analyzed with one sample t-test method and it shown that  ); (2) Discovery Learning (DL) models in terms of students mathematical problem-solving skill is effective are students grade  of 4 Pandak Junior High School, it analyzed with one sample t-test method and it shown that  ; (3) There are differences between Discovery Learning (DL) learning models and Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning models and shown by the Discovery Learning (DL) learning model is more effective than Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning models in terms of problem solving abilities are students grade  of 4 Pandak Junior High School. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dengan pembelajaran snowball throwing dengan talking stick antara kelompok self efficacy tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Selain itu, peneliti juga menganalisis interaksi antara model pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan pemecahan. Penelitian ini dapat mengembangkan keterampilan siswa pada pemecahan masalah. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII A dan VII B SMP, dengan metode pengumpulan  data  ialah  angket, tes pemecahan masalah, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis data awal dengan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji keseimbangan. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan adalah ANAVA dua jalan sel tak sama. Berdasarkan tahapan penelitian di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) tidak ada perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa antara pembelajaran talking stick dengan snowball throwing, (2) ada perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah antara kelompok self efficacy tinggi, sedang, dan rendah, (3) ada interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan self efficacy siswa terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tahapan berpikir geometris yang dimiliki oleh siswa SMA dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan siswa kelas X yang mempunyai nilai matematika di atas rata-rata sebagai subjek penelitian. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan lembar masalah sebagai instrumen pendukung untuk mengetahui tahapan berpikir geometris yang dimiliki siswa. Lembar masalah berupa pertanyaan yang berfungsi untuk merangsang munculnya tahapan berpikir geometris yang dimiliki siswa. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara, dokumentasi, catatan lapangan, dan lembar jawaban siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu teknik analisis dari Miles & Huberman yang meliputi tiga aktivitas yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada suatu aktivitas yang belum masuk pada tahapan berpikir geometris menurut Van Hiele dan Musa. Aktivitas tersebut adalah menentukan rencana untuk menyelesaikan masalah matematika, dan dalam penelitian ini peneliti sebut sebagai level 1,5 yaitu mengorganisasi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to compile a mathematical module that integrates Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) models to develop critical thinking skills of high school students. The development model used in this study is the Plomp development model. Plomp development model consists of 4 stages, namely (a) Investigation Stage, (b) Designing Stage, (c) Realization / Construction Stage, (d) Test Stage, Evaluation, and Revision. The method used to collect data is questionnaire, observation, test of learning outcomes, and documentation. The instruments used were validity sheets, practicality sheets, and effectiveness sheets. Modules are said to be feasible if it meets the criteria  of valid, practical and effective. Data analysis techniques used are qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. After data analysis, product validity assessment was categorized as very good with an average percentage of 85,15%, practicality assessment categorized as good with a percentage of 76,67%, and effectiveness assessment categorized as good with a percentage of 64,5%. Based on this, it can be concluded that the mathematics module that integrates the PCK model is appropriate to be used to develop critical thinking skills of senior high school students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the result of national examination in mathematics subject matter in junior high school start from 2013 to 2016. The method used was literature study by analyzing the report of national examination in junior high school start from 2013 to 2016 which published by Assessment Center of Research and Development Board, Ministry of Education and Culture. The result of this study shows that based on the result of national examination in junior high school start from 2013 to 2016, mathematics was the subject matter with the lowest in average score in three years last compared with three subject matters else (Indonesia Language, English Language, and Science). At that years, the average score of mathematics tended to decrease. Three dimensional, statistics, and probability were the most difficult to be understood by students of junior high school in Indonesia.
