Abstract

Fenonema hubungan romantis jarak jauh menjadi salah satu tantangan bagi setiap pasangan romatis. Jarak yang memisahkan para pasangan ini bisa dikarenakan oleh beberapa faktor seperti tuntutan pekerjaan, pendidikan, maupun sebab lainnya seperti yang terjadi saat ini yaitu adanya pandemi global. Memelihara komunikasi menjadi satu hal yang harus dipertahankan, karena pasangan hubungan jarak jauh tentu akan sulit untuk bertemu langsung. Bahasa cinta atau The Five Love Languages oleh Gary Chapman dipilih untuk diterapkan dalam berkomunikasi pada hubungan jarak jauh dengan maksud untuk lebih mendalami bagaimana keadaan serta keinginan tiap pasangan sehingga bisa mengurangi perselisihan akibat keterbatasan yang akan mempengaruhi komunikasi mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana para pasangan memelihara hubungan romantis jarak jauh mereka dengan menerapkan konsep-konsep bahasa cinta. Penelitian ini disusun menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, paradigma interpretif serta pendekatan fenomenologi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yakni wawancara mendalam. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Teori Pemeliharaan Hubungan dan Teori Komunikasi Verbal dan Nonverbal.

Abstract

Technological developments encourage changes in the behavior of people's transactions in Indonesia. Currently, people are starting to switch to non-cash transactions. The use of e-wallets has now become a new phenomenon in the world of finance and technology. The emergence of the phenomenon of using e-wallets has encouraged various digital wallet companies in Indonesia. As a result of this competition, each e-wallet company has improved the performance of its features and services as well as increased the dissemination of information in various mass media such as television, radio, online news and Instagram social media. Even so, not all people use e-wallets to make payment transactions. The study aims to determine the effect of the intensity of e-wallet information consumption, the intensity of e-wom e-wallet communication, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use on interest in using e-wallet applications. This study uses the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and simple linear regression statistical tests. The sample in the study was 100 respondents aged 20-60 years who are residents of the city of Semarang. The results of the study prove that in H1 there is an influence between the intensity of consumption of e-wallet information on perceived usefulness. Then, in H2 there is an influence between the intensity of e-wom e-wallet communication on perceived usefulness. In H4 there is an influence between the intensity of e-wom e-wallet communication on perceived ease of use. Then, in H5 there is an influence between perceived usefulness on interest in using e-wallet applications, and in H6 there is an influence between perceived ease of use and interest in using e-wallet applications. Meanwhile, in H3 it shows that there is no influence between the intensity of consumption of e-wallet information on perceived ease of use, which means that the perceived ease of use of individuals does not grow from the intensity of consumption of e-wallet information, instead the intensity of e-wom e-wallet communication contributes to the growth perceived ease of use.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan hal yang penting bagi anak, namun, Kota Semarang, khususnya SMAN 5 Semarang belum mendapatkan prestasi belajar memuaskan yang didasarkan pada penurunan nilai UN dan peringkat sekolah berdasarkan nilai UTBK. Kehadiran media sosial menjadi salah satu faktor yang berhubungan dengan prestasi belajar siswa. Kehadiran media sosial dapat membuat para penggunanya kecanduan. Hal tersebut kurang diperhatikan oleh orang tua, dimana intensitas komunikasi orang tua dengan anak tergolong rendah dan masih banyak anak yang menggunakan smartphone tanpa adanya aturan dari orang tua. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengkaji hubungan antara intensitas penggunaan media sosial TikTok dengan prestasi belajar siswa SMA di Kota Semarang dan intensitas komunikasi orang tua – anak dengan prestasi belajar siswa SMA di Kota Semarang. Teori yang digunakan adalah Displacement Effects Theory dan Parental Mediation Theory. Pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah non-probability sampling, yakni siswa-siswi SMAN 5 Semarang, berusia 15 – 18 tahun, dan aktif menggunakan media sosial TikTok. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 50 responden. Hasil uji korelasi kendall’s tau_b antara intensitas penggunaan media sosial TikTok dengan prestasi belajar siswa SMA di Kota Semarang diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,736 yang dapat diartikan bahwa kedua variabel tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan. Hal ini dikarenakan para responden dapat berperan aktif untuk memilih waktu yang diinginkan dalam penggunaan media sosial, sehingga penggunaan TikTok oleh responden tidak menggantikan waktu belajar. Kemudian, hasil uji korelasi kendall’s antara intensitas komunikasi orang tua – anak dengan prestasi belajar siswa SMA di Kota Semarang diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,879 yang dapat diartikan bahwa kedua variabel tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan. Hal ini dikarenakan responden yang merupakan usia remaja sudah memiliki kemampuan untuk mengontrol, mendisiplinkan diri, serta mampu membatasi diri dalam menggunakan kebebasan yang diberikan kepada mereka.

Abstract

One situation where cultural adaptation happens frequently in society is when a person moves to a location that is considerably different from his or her usual environment. Students who relocate to foreign nations also experience this; they struggle to fit in with their new surroundings. Many elements that make it challenging for pupils to adapt are typically brought on by the new environment, culture, conventions, and rules. The question of how these Indonesian students can adjust to a new environment and culture then arises for students who are immigrating to other nations. This study uses qualitative research techniques in conjunction with interpretive paradigms and phenomenological approaches to learn more about the adjustment process of Indonesian students while they are studying in Turkey. In-depth interviews are the method of data collecting used. The U-curve theory, cultural identity theory, culture shock theory, and cultural adaptation theory were the theories employed in this study. The findings of this study show that there are four stages in the process by which Indonesian students adjust to their new cultural environment while studying in Turkey. The first stage involves acclimating to the new environment, followed by the second stage, which is known as culture shock. Students experience anxiety and fear at this stage. due to different religious beliefs, language, cuisine, lifestyle, and culture, as well as homesickness. The life of Indonesian students in Turkey once they have adjusted to the country's surroundings and culture follows the culture shock phase. Identity formation is the last stage that Indonesian students go through. Because of the interactions amongst Indonesian students, identity is formed

Abstract

TVRI Jawa Tengah adalah lembaga penyiaran publik yang bertugas menyiarkan informasi dengan nilai edukasi kepada masyarakat. Sebagai salah satu wujud tanggung jawab dalam menjadi sarana pelestarian budaya dan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal, TVRI Jawa Tengah memiliki salah satu program berita yaitu Jawa Tengah Hari Ini. Program ini memuat salah satu segmen Mini Feature yang berisi informasi berita ringan. Feature sendiri merupakan liputan berita yang sifatnya informatif, edukatif, menghibur, meyakinkan, serta memberi nilai-nilai kemanusiaan (human interest) sehingga bisa membuat simpati atau empati yang menontonnya tergugah dan tidak terikat waktu (timeless). Pelaksanaan karya bidang ini hadir untuk mengisi segmen Mini Feature tersebut dengan konten yang mengangkat tema besar tentang budaya sesuai dengan tugas TVRI sebagai lembaga penyiaran publik. Adapun tema besar tersebut dibagi dalam beberapa kategori meliputi kesenian, wisata, kuliner, sejarah, dan ritual/tradisi. Pelaksanaan karya bidang ini berlangsung dengan memproduksi sebanyak 48 konten liputan dengan durasi rata-rata 5-7 menit penayangan. Konten liputan ini tayang di Stasiun TVRI Jawa Tengah pada bulan April-Juli 2022 dan ditayangkan ulang melalui kanal YouTube “Karbid TVRI”. Dalam pelaksanaannya, terdapat 4 jobdesk utama dalam proses praproduksi, produksi, hingga pascaproduksi : produser, director, reporter, dan juru kamera.

Abstract

Nowadays, the use of the internet continues to grow rapidly, and so do the social media users in Indonesia. This has made many companies promote their products digitally through various social media. Pokemon TCG Indonesia is one of the companies that promotes through social media. Advertising has been the most popular way of promoting a product. Apart from that, there are also other ways such as using content creators on Youtube to promote products through reviews of these products. This study aims to determine the effect of advertising exposure and YouTuber video unboxing on consumer buying interest in Pokemon TCG Indonesia products, the Sparkling VMAX Collection series. The sampling technique used non-probability sampling with a total sample of 50 people. The testing is done using Simple Regression analysis. The results of the study show that the significance value for the ad exposure variable is 0.000. It means that the ad exposure variable has a positive influence on the purchase intention variable. Furthermore, for the results of the Youtuber video unboxing exposure variable, it shows a significance value of 0.000. It means that Youtuber video.

Abstract

In recent years, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, Netflix's revenue has continued to decline throughout 2021 and 2022. On the other hand, Netflix, as the pioneer of SVoD services in the world, has implemented various strategies to build and maintain its good image. In addition, even though the price set is relatively higher, the amount of content available is greater than similar competitors and the price set is still within the range of the majority of spending by the Indonesian people in consuming SVoD shows. Nevertheless, Netflix has still not succeeded in becoming the main choice for the Indonesian people. This research aims to determine the effect of brand image and price perceptions on purchasing decisions for SVoD Netflix services This research uses a quantitative method with an explanatory type and is based on the concept of Customer-Based Brand Equity and the Model of Consumer Behavior. The sampling technique is in the form of non-probability sampling with a total sample of 100 respondents who are generation Z and millennials who live in Greater Jakarta and know Netflix. The results of this study using the Chi Square non-parametric statistical test tool succeeded in revealing a relationship between brand image and the decision to purchase Netflix services with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.050. Furthermore, different results occur in testing the effect of price perceptions on purchasing decisions, where there is no influence between the two variables indicated by a significance value of 0.119 > 0.050. Thus, this research shows that price is not the main issue that is considered by consumers in purchasing Netflix services, instead a good brand image is a consideration, so it is important for brands to continue to maintain a good image. This research is limited by variables that are used, as well as the age range and domicile of the respondents. Therefore, other variables and broaden background of the respondents can be used for the further research.

Abstract

Film is one of mass medias to find out the ideology of authority formed in the gender realm through the representation of the roles of women and men. The formation of character in Hollywood action film features women as complements and sweeteners for male heroes more often. The Film “Resident Evil: Retribution” aimed to find out the point of view used in describing women's authority in a film that engage female as the main characters. This research used a critical paradigm applying standpoint theory. The subject of this study was the scene in the film Resident Evil: Retribution that showed women's authority through observation. This study used the Semiotics data analysis method from Roland Barthes, idest Semiotic Analysis with a lexia and 5 reading codes including hermeneutic code, proarietic code, symbolic code, cultural code, and semic code. The results of Resident Evil: Retribution film research described women's power as represented through the main female character. Elements of authoriry in female characters showed the value of masculinity, with appearances such as male attributes, fighting, dominant, brave. The ideology appears in Resident Evil: Retribution was patriarchy, masculinity, women could be judged to have authority if they had masculine traits by appearing like men and managed themselves to look cool and scary.

Abstract

Sepakbola merupakan olahraga terpopuler di Indonesia, sebanyak 77 persen rakyat indonesia cinta sepakbola. Indonesia sendiri memiliki kompetisi sepak bola dengan berbagai macam aturan dan klub di dalamnya. Seringkali aturan yang telah ditetapkan dilanggar oleh supporter dari klub yang terdaftar sebagai peserta kompetisi. PSIS Semarang merupakan salah satu klub sepak bola di Indonesia dan tunduk terhadap aturan kompetisi yang ditetapkan oleh PSSI. Bagaimanakah PSIS Semarang menjalin komunikasi kepada supporter terkait aturan yang ditetapkan dalam kompetisi yang berjalan? Design penelitian yang digunakan adalah tipe penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Penulis bertujuan untuk membuat gambaran atau lukisan secara sistematis, faktual dan akurat mengenai fakta-fakta, sifat-sifat serta hubungan antar fenomena yang dimiliki. Penghimpunan informasi dilakukan melalui PROSES wawancara kepada 2 kelompok supporter PSIS dan Management PSIS. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses komunikasi yang dilakukan dalam program sarasehan ini adalah secara 2 arah dengan tatap muka langsung atau face to face antara management dan kelompok supporter, dimana untuk pertama dari management menyampaikan regulasi yang ebrkaitan dengan supporter, kemudain penyampaian aspirasi- aspirasi dari kelompok supporter, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan Tanya jawab. Dalam program sarasehan ini komunikasi dilakukan secara santai, tidak formal tetapi tetap serius.

Abstract

Apart from the communication limitations Deaf people have, some of them still have economic needs that must be met. In Indonesia, there are Deaf people who work as frontliners in normal working environments. As Deaf frontline employees, working in a normal work environment can create potential barriers to communication while working. To be able to deal with these barriers, it takes the role of other people and the environment as social support. This study aims to understand communication experiences, communication barriers, and forms of social support that Deaf frontline employees receive in a normal working environment. This study used Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) method with in-depth interview techniques with four Deaf people who work as frontliners in normal working environment. This research refers to the concept of Communication Barriers by Orbe & Bruess and Social Support Behavior Codes which is a framework by Cutrona & Suhr. The results of this study found that Deaf people who work as frontliners communicate verbally (sign language and writing) and nonverbally (gestures). Deaf frontline employees have positive, encouraging experiences in the form of disability-friendly facilities and colleagues who can speak sign language. However, at the same time, Deaf frontline employees also experienced negative experiences in the form of discriminatory treatment, cynical treatment, and rejection from customers, also bullying from colleagues. During communication in the normal work environment, communication barriers arise such as lip reading which is hindered by masks (physical barriers), speaking too fast and differences in sign language (semantic barriers), hearing loss (physiological barriers), and lack of confidence (psychological barriers). Finally, social support appears in the form of action-facilitating support and nurturing support in the form of giving advice, translation and changing work roles by deaf frontline co-workers, praise for work, alleviating feelings of guilt, being listened to when venting, and the presence of co-workers.
