Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to examine the cultural meaning, psychological function, and dynamics of the transformation of the nggowo lemah tradition in the context of house moving among Javanese communities in three villages: Calungan, Beru, and Candisari. This study uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews, direct observation, and interpretive analysis of the informants' lived experiences. The research findings indicate that nggowo lemah is practiced as a simple and adaptive domestic custom that focuses on the symbolic act of carrying a handful of soil from the old house to the new one. This tradition has a strong emotional function, especially in building a sense of security, spatial continuity, and attachment to the original environment, without being related to religious legitimacy. The results also reveal a generational shift, where younger groups tend to abandon this practice due to a more practical orientation to life, so that its sustainability is highly dependent on social and emotional relevance in the context of modern society. Overall, this study confirms that nggowo lemah is a cultural practice that functions as a psychosocial transition mechanism in the process of adaptation to a new space.

Abstract

This study seeks to examine how pesantren culture influences patterns of interpretation in one of the works of Nusantara exegesis, namely the Tamsyiyyat al-Muslimin exegesis compiled by KH. Ahmad Sanusi. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach, the study explores the relationship between pesantren experiences, turats traditions, surrounding scientific relations, and the moral ethos that shaped Sanusi's understanding and delivery of the messages of the Qur'an. The results of the study show that the pesantren tradition is not only a biographical background, but also functions as an epistemological foundation that guides the pattern of interpretation of verses, the selection of classical references, the Shafi'i fiqh style, and the way of contextualizing the teachings of the Qur'an with the social conditions of society during the colonial period. This interpretation uses the ijmali method, communicative language, and social criticism rooted in the role of the kiai as an educator of society. This research shows that Tamsyiyyat al-Muslimin is a unique representation of pesantren interpretation that emphasizes the close relationship between scholarly tradition, pedagogy, and the construction of interpretive thought in the archipelago.

Abstract

This study examines scholarly article publications on the theme of ethics of speech and conduct from the perspective of Prophetic hadith. The background of this study highlights the need for a more comprehensive understanding of Islamic moral values that emphasize the importance of guarding one’s speech and improving one’s actions as reflections of faith. The purpose of this research is to analyze the trends, characteristics, and tendencies of academic publications discussing the ethics of speech and conduct from a hadith perspective in Indonesia. The main focus includes mapping publication years, journal accreditation, authors’ institutional affiliations, and the development of research themes. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method with a literature review approach. Data were obtained through a systematic search of scholarly articles using Google Scholar and Dimensions with keywords related to maintaining speech and conduct. A total of 20 relevant articles were analyzed systematically and further mapped using bibliometric analysis assisted by VOSviewer to identify term relationships and thematic trends. The results indicate a significant increase in publications during the 2020–2022 period. In terms of themes, the studies are dominated by legal perspectives, particularly those related to verbal agreements and their juridical implications, followed by cultural themes focusing on oral literature and local wisdom, as well as religious themes addressing the ethics of speech within Islamic and Sufi perspectives. Social, educational, and interdisciplinary themes remain relatively limited. Moreover, only a small number of studies explicitly position hadith as the main object of analysis, while most research still discusses the ethics of speech and conduct in a partial manner. These findings reveal a significant research gap, highlighting the need for the development of more holistic hadith-based studies to strengthen ethical and moral formation in contemporary society.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of sharia dispute resolution mechanisms in strengthening consumer protection in Indonesia. This issue is crucial as the rapid growth of the Islamic economy has increased the complexity of disputes between financial institutions and customers, while existing mechanisms have not fully reflected substantive justice. Although the Religious Court and the National Sharia Arbitration Board (BASYARNAS) have a strong legal foundation, their practical effectiveness remains limited due to institutional and social challenges. This research employs a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach, using in-depth interviews with 18 informants consisting of judges, arbitrators, OJK officials, representatives of Islamic financial institutions, and consumers. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, including stages of data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with validation through source and method triangulation. The findings reveal that the effectiveness of sharia dispute resolution is still low at the implementation level. The main influencing factors include low public legal literacy, weak inter-institutional coordination, limited human resources in sharia law, and suboptimal application of maqashid al-shariah principles. A hybrid model combining litigation and sharia-based mediation is identified as a potential alternative to strengthen consumer protection and increase public trust in sharia legal institutions. This study concludes that the effectiveness of sharia dispute resolution must prioritize substantive justice and social welfare rather than mere procedural compliance, to enhance trust and fairness within Indonesia’s Islamic legal system.

Abstract

This study aims to trace the evolution of Islamic thought in science and technology from the classical era to the present day. To prove the continuity between classical and modern thought, this study uses a descriptive qualitative method, which provides an overview of the development of science and technology from the classical era of al-Khawarizmi to the modern era of Abdus Salam through literature review or library research. The results of this study show that there has been continuity from the classical period to the present, with Aljabbar and al-Khawarizmi making significant contributions to science. This study concludes that the development of science and technology has been continuously influenced by the Islamic world, rather than being exclusively the result of the West. However, there are several things that Muslims must pay attention to in order to maintain their intellectual quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development, trends, and quality of scientific publications related to the Implementation of Deep Learning in Elementary Schools based on article searches on Google Scholar. This research employs a qualitative method using a library research model, in which data were obtained through searches of scientific articles using the keyword “Implementation of Deep Learning in Elementary Schools,” followed by filtering, classification, content analysis, and data presentation in the form of tables, graphs, and narrative descriptions. The results of the study show that there are 20 related articles, with a significant increase in publications in 2025. Affiliation analysis reveals that these articles originate from various regions in Indonesia, particularly West Java, Central Java, West Sumatra, and Central Sulawesi, indicating that the application of deep learning has gained national attention. Meanwhile, the journal accreditation classification indicates that 85% of the articles were published in non-accredited journals, while only a small portion were indexed in Sinta 4 and Sinta 5. Overall, this study concludes that the implementation of deep learning in elementary school learning is increasingly developing and has been proven to contribute positively to literacy, numeracy, critical thinking, discipline, and teachers’ pedagogical competence, although the quality of scientific publications still needs improvement to achieve stronger academic impact.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively examine the phenomenon of bullying in schools by examining behavioral patterns, causal factors, and their impact on students. The focus of the research is directed at understanding the development of forms of bullying in educational environments and trends in academic studies over the past decade. The method used is qualitative research with a library research approach. Data were obtained from scientific articles indexed by Google Scholar and Dimensions with a publication period of 2015–2025 to ensure the data remains relevant and up-to-date. Furthermore, bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer was used to map research developments, the distribution of study areas, and the interconnectedness of themes in the school bullying literature. The results show that academic attention to bullying has increased significantly since 2020 in line with awareness of the importance of a safe educational environment. Verbal bullying is the most dominant form, followed by physical bullying, social bullying, and cyberbullying, which has grown rapidly due to advances in digital technology. The main contributing factors include weak parental supervision, peer influence, individual character, a less conducive school environment, media exposure, and unequal power relations reinforced by patriarchal and feudal cultures. The impact of bullying is complex, including anxiety, depression, low self-confidence, decreased academic achievement, and an increased risk of self-harm. Bibliometric mapping also shows that bullying research in Indonesia is still concentrated in West Java, Central Java, East Java, South Sulawesi, and North Sumatra only.
