Abstract

The Public Information Commission (KIP) has the role of encouraging information transparency in central and regional government agencies (pemda) and conducting education related to the era of public information disclosure to the public. Consequently, KIP members must work professionally and work optimally so that people feel their existence. This manuscript is a small part of the effort to provide an understanding to the public about the importance of the Public Information Disclosure Act for citizens, especially for economic development. The business world needs information in its entirety, starting from understanding about legislation, government policies under the law, policies of state administrators at the central and regional levels in the economic/ business field, and other aspects. If this is realized, then people's welfare will be realized through development in the field of public information. The full implementation of the KIP Law is highly dependent on the government's performance, citizens' awareness, and the role of civil society as a Nation Government Organization (NGO / NGO) that controls the performance of the government. The role of NGOs can accelerate the realization of an open government which is a strategic effort to prevent the practice of corruption, collusion and nepotism (KKN), the creation of good governance, and the realization of wise public services.

Abstract

The Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) outbreak in Central Java has raised serious concerns regarding high transmission rates, economic losses, and weak biosecurity at the farmer level. This situation calls for more effective regulations and management strategies from the government. This study aims to analyze the economic impact of the FMD outbreak, identify the factors causing the spread of the disease, and evaluate the socio-economic implications for farmers and the community. The study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing data collection methods such as observation, in-depth interviews with farmers in the Pati, Rembang, and Kudus districts, and literature review. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques, including categorization and data reduction. The results of the study indicate that the FMD outbreak in Muria Raya was caused by the entry of infected livestock through cattle traders from East Java and Aceh, exacerbated by the government's delayed response and limited access to vaccination. The Central Java Provincial Government has issued various regulations and formed a Rapid Response Unit (URC), but its implementation faces obstacles in the form of uneven vaccine distribution. The economic impacts include direct losses such as livestock deaths and reduced productivity, as well as indirect losses such as supply chain disruptions and loss of market access due to zoning policies and the closure of animal markets for over a month. The socio-economic implications of the PMK outbreak are significant for livestock farmers' families, including reduced income, increased costs for traditional medicine, forced borrowing, and education expenses for children. This study concludes that handling FMD outbreaks requires an integrated approach through regulatory strengthening, responsive government economic support, and a risk factor-based prevention system. Successful control depends heavily on synergy between the government, farmers, and stakeholders to minimize socio-economic impacts.

Abstract

Islamic banking faces challenges competing with conventional banking, particularly regarding market share. To address this challenge, Islamic banks must strengthen customer relationships for long-term sustainability. This research aims to examine whether customer trust and reputation mediate the effect of CSR on customer loyalty in Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI). The study employed a quantitative approach with the SEM-PLS analysis technique. The sampling method was simple random sampling, with 170 respondents participating in an online questionnaire. The findings of this study suggest that CSR does not have a direct impact on Customer Loyalty. However, mediation through Customer Trust and Corporate Reputation is crucial. The results reveal that customers’ decisions to be loyal to Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) are not directly influenced by the observable CSR activities; instead, customer trust and corporate reputation play vital roles in mediating the effects of CSR on customer loyalty. This study implies that Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) needs to emphasize the significance of customer trust by enhancing service quality. Furthermore, building a positive reputation for the customers by disseminating adequate information regarding Sharia financial products is equally imperative.
