Abstract

Learning motivation is a key factor in the success of the educational process, especially in learning the Quran. Students who have high motivation will be more enthusiastic in learning and understanding the material and will be more consistent in reading and memorizing the Quran. Conversely, a lack of motivation can hinder the development of students' abilities in mastering the knowledge of the Quran. Therefore, effective learning methods are needed to motivate students to learn so that they are more enthusiastic and diligent in learning. This study aims to describe how the use of the Tilawati method in learning the Quran to motivate students to learn, including: the steps in its implementation, the strategies of the female teachers in motivating students to learn, and the success of the Tilawati method in motivating students to learn. The research location was at the Nahdhatul Quran Quran Memorization House in Manarap Village, Danau Panggang District, Hulu Sungai Utara Regency. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects were six Quran teachers and three female students, while the informants consisted of the caretaker of the Nahdhatul Quran Islamic boarding school, the head/coordinator of the RTQ, and the RTQ administrators. Abstract

Empiricist epistemology is a major school of thought in the philosophy of knowledge that emphasizes that the primary source of human knowledge comes from sensory experience. This school of thought developed rapidly in the Western world, especially in the modern era, as a reaction to rationalism, which prioritizes reason as the source of knowledge. Figures such as John Locke, George Berkeley, and David Hume were central figures in shaping the foundations of empiricism. This paper discusses the definition of empiricism, its key figures, its basic concepts, and its influence on the development of modern science.

Abstract

Abstract

The concept of the essence of humanity in Islam emphasizes that humans are created by Allah SWT as noble beings with the primary purpose of worshipping Him and serving as stewards (khalifah) on earth. Humans are endowed with intellect, conscience, and an innate nature (fitrah) that distinguishes them from other creatures. The essence of humanity in Islam encompasses three main dimensions: spiritual (ruhaniyah), intellectual (aqliyah), and social (ijtimaiyah). As stewards, humans have the responsibility to cultivate the earth, maintain the balance of nature, and uphold justice. As servants of Allah, humans are required to constantly worship and draw closer to Him through all activities performed with sincere intentions. Understanding this essence of humanity has profound implications for the social behavior of Muslims, encouraging them to uphold justice, promote equality, and care for social welfare. Values such as mutual assistance, solidarity, and tolerance form the foundation for building harmonious social interactions. However, Muslims also face challenges in implementing this concept, such as individualism, social injustice, and moral degradation. To address these challenges, serious efforts are needed through religious education, the enforcement of Islamic values in society, and the development of collective awareness of social responsibility. By understanding and practicing the concept of the essence of humanity in Islam, Muslims can build a just, harmonious, and civilized society

This study aims to determine the role of Islamic cultural history teachers in increasing student learning activities through cooperative learning methods in learning Islamic cultural history in class XI A MAN 4 Tabalong and the factors that influence the role of Islamic cultural history teachers in increasing student learning activities through cooperative learning methods in learning Islamic cultural history in class XI A MAN 4 Tabalong. This study is a field study using a qualitative descriptive approach. The informants included the principal, Islamic cultural history subject teachers, substitute Islamic cultural history teachers, and students in class XI A at MAN 4 Tabalong. Class XI A was chosen as the research object due to its high enthusiasm for learning, stable learning patterns, and responsive and cooperative students. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews with Islamic cultural history teachers, documentation, and data analysis, including data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the research findings, Islamic cultural history teachers have diverse roles in carrying out their duties and responsibilities. These roles have been proven to increase student engagement in Islamic cultural history learning. Teachers not only deliver material but also facilitate meaningful learning experiences and encourage active student involvement in discussions and group work. This finding aligns with constructivism theory, which asserts that knowledge is actively constructed through social interaction. This increased learning activity is influenced by both internal and external factors. However, both factors have the potential to become obstacles if not handled properly, and therefore need to be addressed to ensure optimal learning.

Abstract

.  This research aims to analyze the implementation of SIM and BPBD Subang Regency's social media content management strategy in the context of education and disaster mitigation, as well as identifying the technical and non-technical obstacles faced. Using qualitative methods through interviews, observations and documentation studies, this research found that the Subang Regency BPBD has implemented a strict report verification mechanism to prevent hoaxes and ensure the accuracy of information before it is followed up by the BPBD team. Social media, especially Instagram, is used as the main channel for disseminating emergency information, public education and cross-sector coordination, although the quality and consistency of educational content still needs to be improved. Findings also show that the greatest resistance lies in two-way communication with the Community, especially the inconsistency of reporters in providing additional information which hampers field responses. Overall, the implementation of SIM for the use of social media by BPBD Subang Regency is considered quite effective, but still requires strengthening the aspects of disaster literacy, optimizing digital features, increasing the capacity of media managers, and collaborative integration between agencies to strengthen preparedness and reduce disaster risk in Subang Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively analyze the objectives, benefits, and functions of accreditation in improving the quality of Indonesia’s national school system based on established standards. It focuses on how accreditation operates as an external quality assurance mechanism that is both evaluative and transformative in fostering continuous improvement within educational institutions. The study employs a qualitative library research method, analyzing recent scholarly sources, including national and international journal articles, academic books, and relevant policy documents. Data are examined using content analysis to identify patterns, themes, and conceptual relationships related to accreditation and educational quality. The findings reveal that accreditation serves three primary roles: quality assurance, performance evaluation, and public accountability. It ensures the fulfillment of National Education Standards, improves teaching and learning quality, enhances teacher professionalism, and strengthens school management effectiveness. Functionally, it acts as an external quality control system that promotes transparency and public trust. The study also finds that its effectiveness depends on schools’ follow-up actions after evaluation. Its novelty lies in integrating the objectives, benefits, and functions of accreditation into a unified standards-based framework, highlighting its role as a transformative system grounded in continuous improvement, institutional reflection, and innovation
