Abstract

This paper examines the relationship between Human Capital Management (HCM) and the philosophy of progressivism in education. Progressivism, as developed by John Dewey, emphasizes learner-centered education, rejecting rigid traditional approaches while promoting active learning experiences as essential preparation for social life. Rooted in pragmatism, progressivism highlights practical benefits, flexibility, and the role of human intellect in problem-solving. Thus, education is not merely the transfer of knowledge but a process of holistic human development—intellectual, moral, and social—enabling individuals to adapt to changing times. This research uses a qualitative approach with a library research approach. This approach was chosen because the discussion focuses on a conceptual analysis of the philosophy of progressivism and its relationship to the concept of Human Capital Management in education. Data analysis was conducted in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. In the context of modern educational management, progressive ideas strongly align with Human Capital Management. HCM positions humans as the primary capital to be developed through investment in education, skills, character, and well-being. The process includes planning, implementation, and evaluation strategies to ensure that individual potential creates added value for both organizations and society. The integration of progressivism and HCM affirms that educational management must focus on optimizing learners’ potential to be adaptive, productive, and responsive in facing global challenges.

Abstract

The Sufi order plays a significant role in shaping the spiritual character of Muslim communities through Sufism teachings that emphasize morality, ethics, and closeness to God. This study aims to analyze how the order contributes to the formation of individual and societal character through the practice of worship, the practice of dhikr (remembrance of God), and the development of morals. This research used qualitative methods. The results indicate that the order plays a role in strengthening spiritual values ​​such as patience, sincerity, trust (Tawakal), and compassion. Furthermore, the order also serves as a forum for the formation of social solidarity and the strengthening of Islamic identity in community life. Thus, the order not only serves as a path to individual piety but also contributes to building social harmony and improving the quality of spiritual life of Muslims.

Abstract

This study explores the learning process of children with special needs, particularly deaf and autistic children, whoexhibit distinct learning styles compared to typically developing children. The research is grounded in theunderstanding that every child has unique learning preferences, and children with special needs require inclusiveand adaptive educational approaches. This study employs a descriptive literature review of previous research onteaching strategies for deaf and autistic children. The findings indicate that deaf children learn more effectivelythrough visual media such as pictures, objects, videos, and written texts, while autistic children benefit fromlearning methods that emphasize emotional engagement, social skills, and direct interaction. In conclusion, thelearning process for children with special needs should consider individual characteristics, focusing on the use ofappropriate media, strategies, and approaches to achieve optimal educational outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of the token economy method in reducing online gaming addictionamong college students. The study uses a single subject design with an A-B design, involving one 21-year-old subject who, in this case, exhibited five of the six indicators of online gaming addiction, namelysalience, euphoria, conflict, tolerance, relapse, and reinstatement. The intervention was conducted over7 days using a token method in the form of coins, which were later exchanged for cash rewards, basedon a reduction in the intensity of online gaming from a daily baseline of 5 hours. The results of this studyshowed a significant decrease in the intensity of online gaming, with a final percentage of 95%, from anaverage of 5 hours of online gaming activity to only 15 minutes per day. Additionally, subjects exhibitedpositive behavioral changes, such as increased social activity and reduced solitary behavior. Ultimately,this study serves as evidence that the token economy method remains effective as a behavioralmodification technique for addressing online gaming addiction among students and can serve as arelevant intervention strategy to be applied in the current digital era.

Abstract

An in-depth study of the comparison of Client-Centered and Behavioristic approaches to counseling has important significance in the development of effective counseling practices. The aims of this research are (1) to know the concept of client centered approach. (2) to know the concept of a behavioristic approach. (3) to know the comparison of client centered and behavioristic approaches. Literature research is carried out by collecting information through the literature, then recording and processing the data that has been obtained. The results of this study are (1) the client centered approach is an approach that empowers clients to think for themselves, solve their own problems, and achieve self-actualization. (2) The behavioristic approach in counseling is an approach that emphasizes changes in client behavior through the use of techniques based on learning principles. (3) The client-centered approach encourages counselors to create an environment that supports client exploration and problem solving, while the behavioristic approach involves identifying unwanted or maladaptive behaviors, as well as using structured techniques and strategies to reinforce desirable behaviors and change unwanted behaviors.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer melalui survei dan bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi masyarakat Kecamatan Tegalsari Kabupaten Banyuwangi mengenai pembatasan masa jabatan anggota legislatif (DPR RI, DPRD Provinsi, dan DPRD Kabupaten). Dalam teori demokrasi modern, pembatasan masa jabatan dipandang sebagai mekanisme penting untuk mencegah konsentrasi kekuasaan, memperkuat akuntabilitas, serta memastikan terjadinya sirkulasi elite politik yang sehat. Namun, regulasi di Indonesia saat ini belum mengatur pembatasan jumlah periode bagi anggota legislatif sehingga menimbulkan perdebatan mengenai perlunya pembatasan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik multistage random sampling. Penentuan lokasi dilakukan secara purposive, sedangkan pemilihan responden dilakukan secara bertingkat mulai dari desa, dusun, hingga rukun tetangga (RT), kemudian menentukan kepala keluarga dan memilih responden secara acak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 75,5% masyarakat Kecamatan Tegalsari Kabupaten Banyuwangi menilai masa jabatan anggota legislatif perlu dibatasi. Sementara itu, 14,7% menyatakan bahwa anggota legislatif boleh dipilih berkali-kali, dan 9,8% menyatakan tidak tahu. Temuan ini mengindikasikan adanya preferensi publik yang kuat terhadap mekanisme pembatasan kekuasaan dan regenerasi politik sebagai bagian dari penguatan kualitas demokrasi lokal. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran empiris mengenai persepsi masyarakat terhadap isu pembatasan masa jabatan legislatif dan dapat menjadi pertimbangan bagi pembuat kebijakan, partai politik, serta penelitian selanjutnya terkait penguatan tata kelola demokrasi di Indonesia.

Abstract

The era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0 has positioned digitalization as a key strategy to enhance business competitiveness in the post-COVID-19 period. Digital transformation opens new opportunities for the maritime sector, which holds significant potential yet remains underutilized. This study examines the integration of the Blue Economy concept and digitalization in the development of coastal MSMEs in Payangan Beach, Jember Regency, as an effort to sustainably improve community welfare. The utilization of marine resources in the area is still limited to raw forms, which have low economic value. Processing marine products into value-added items such as fish floss, fish skin crackers, and fish meal is considered effective in boosting the local economy. Digital marketing through social media and online marketplaces is employed to expand market reach. The implementation of this initiative includes training in product processing, financial management, and digital marketing for housewives and youth in Sumberejo Village. The Blue Economy concept is applied by emphasizing environmental sustainability and waste reduction. The results of the study indicate that integrating digitalization and the blue economy holds the potential to create new economic opportunities and strengthen the foundation for sustainable development in coastal areas.

Abstract

The work of Allah SWT is reflected in the perfection of His balanced creation, as depicted in Surah Ar-Rahman, verses 7-9, which emphasize the harmony of heaven and earth, and the balance of the universe. This paper analyzes the relevance of these verses from the perspective of the Qur'an and modern science, with the aim of uncovering the synergy between divine revelation and contemporary empirical discoveries. The approach used is thematic interpretation (tafsir mawdu'i) based on the Qur'an, combined with interdisciplinary scientific studies such as physics, cosmology, ecology, and the laws of thermodynamics. The analysis shows that the Qur'anic description of "the heavens raised high without pillars" (verse 7) aligns with the concept of the expansion of the universe (the Big Bang theory), while "the balance of the earth" (verses 8-9) reflects the principle of ecosystem homeostasis and the law of conservation of energy in science. This perspective not only strengthens Muslims' belief in the scientific miracles of the Qur'an but also opens a constructive dialogue between religion and science to address the global environmental crisis. In conclusion, the perfection of Allah's creation demands that humans maintain the balance of nature as a divine mandate.

Abstract

Sexual harassment is a form of violence that not only causes physical injury but also has profound psychological consequences for victims. The impacts of sexual violence may include depression, phobias, nightmares, and long-term distrust toward others. The purpose of this study is to describe the forms of psychological trauma experienced by survivors of sexual harassment and the adaptation processes they undergo in their daily lives. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through in-depth interviews with three informants who are survivors of sexual harassment. The findings reveal that the victims experience various forms of psychological trauma, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), a drastic decline in self-confidence, sleep disturbances, and persistent negative thoughts. In addition, social impacts also emerged, such as withdrawal from social interactions and heightened suspicion toward the opposite sex. Therefore, adequate psychological support, social rehabilitation, and the creation of a safe and supportive environment are essential to help survivors begin their recovery process and regain their quality of life.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses pengurusan Sertifikat Keselamatan Konstruksi Kapal Barang oleh PT. Putra Andalas Samudera di Kantor Kesyahbandaran dan Otoritas Pelabuhan (KSOP) Kelas I Dumai. Sertifikat ini merupakan dokumen vital untuk menjamin kelaiklautan kapal sesuai standar Direktorat Jenderal Perhubungan Laut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara, dan studi dokumen selama praktik kerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prosedur pengurusan dilakukan secara digital melalui Sistem Informasi Perkapalan dan Kepelautan (SIMKAPEL). Meskipun sistem telah terintegrasi, ditemukan beberapa kendala utama, yaitu: (1) kesalahan pengunggahan dokumen oleh pemohon, (2) ukuran file dokumen yang terlalu besar sehingga sulit terbaca sistem, (3) ketidakstabilan jaringan internet yang menyebabkan gangguan server, dan (4) keterlambatan lampiran dokumen terbaru yang memicu revisi ulang. Upaya optimalisasi dilakukan melalui peningkatan ketelitian validasi dokumen sebelum pengunggahan dan koordinasi intensif antara pihak agen, pemilik kapal, dan petugas pemeriksa kapal (Marine Inspector) guna memastikan kelancaran inspeksi fisik dan penerbitan sertifikat tepat waktu.
