Abstract

The beliefs and religious practices of Kalimantan’s indigenous peoples have been documented by social scientists and others for well over a century. Hindu Kaharingan, however, is unique in the robust level of scientific attention that it has attracted. Anthropologists have had the privilege of investigating and analyzing part of Hindu Kaharingan’s unfolding story. The vitality of Hindu Kaharingan and its role in local identity continues to generate interest among Indonesian and foreign researchers alike. This presentation examines changes in how Kaharingan has been portrayed by anthropologists over time. It argues that the recognition of Hindu Kaharingan was a watershed moment in indigenous religious activism. Since that time, Hindu Kaharingan has often been cited as an example of a native religion that has survived and thrived in the face of social transformation. Yet, interest in Hindu Kaharingan is not limited to academicians only. In 1996, with the encouragement of local cultural activists, the National Geographic Society produced a television film about Kaharingan. While the film led to broader appreciation across the globe of Dayak culture, its production also raised complex issues regarding how controversial aspects of Ngaju death rituals should be portrayed. The presentation concludes with a call for new research, conducted by adherents of Hindu Kaharingan themselves and published in multiple languages in scientific journals with the highest peer review standards, to add more perspectives to this exceptional story of cultural survival and identity in contemporary Indonesia.

Abstract

?nv?k?ik? science of inquiry has been recognized as a branch of learning in Hindu knowledge since 650 BCE. Medh?tithi Gautama is the Founder of ?nv?k?ik? par excellence, and this knowledge has continued to develop into the modern age while still having a strong function in building Hindu methods of knowledge. ?nv?k?ik? is the light of all knowledge. However, until now, it has not been widely studied in Hindu universities in Indonesia. Even though it is essential as a gateway to understanding the Hindu scientific paradigm, just as Hindu philosophy sharpens the machine of human intelligence, ?nv?k?ik? is a very sophisticated tool. This grinder sharpens intellect quickly and leads it to the development of logic and reason that is smooth and sharp. ?nv?k?ik? in its usable form also provides knowledge for discussion, debate, and as a critical study that helps in research and book writing.

Abstract

Ida Sang Hyang Widhi/Ranying Hatalla Langit created men and women into this world to complement each other in living a life that continues to move forward. As we are currently facing is the life of society 5.0 where technological innovation is a solution to various problems of life today. Of course, this makes every human being, especially women, no longer underestimated by anyone. Women are able to play a role in every field of life in this world, especially in the field of education. Women, whether as housewives or working women or both, must have a good education so that they can have an impact on their children, their families and even the surrounding community for the better. Women's participation in education is also explained in the teachings of Hinduism in the holy book of Yayurvedha XIV.21. that women are the best teachers in the family, there is no difference in social treatment between men and women. Because of women too, various forms of offerings will be carried out, because of women too, tranquility and peace will be realized, therefore people who want to prosper should always respect women. But the journey of a woman in the life of society 5.0 is of course has many obstacles. Barrier that occur to women in the field of education is socio-cultural factor where there is a view in society that a woman do not need to get the higher education, because they will end up being housewives eventualy. This view makes women hesitant to dream of having a higher education and having a good career. In fact, if a woman is able to have a higher education and work, of course she can help her husband, who is the head of the family, in improving the family economy. In addition, women who have education will certainly affect the pattern of educating their children even if they choose to become housewives. Women's education affects the education of future generations because women are the first educators in the family.

Abstract

Dasaksara as it is widely known in Balinese Hindu society, is composed of a series of Panca Brahma (Sa, Ba, Ta, A, I) and Pancaksara (Na, Ma, Si, Wa, Ya) scripts. The ten holy scripts were first found in the book of Saiwa Religion in India where His "descendant" had time to go to Bali through the spread of Hinduism to the archipelago in the past. Careful excavation of the religious books of the Shiva Darsana group such as Pasupata, Saiwa Siddhanta, Vira Saiwa, Nandikeswara Saivism. The concept of rwa bhineda which is an inversely proportional concept of Liberatioan or its opposite which has the same goal to achieve balance. In this concept of divinity, there is also the embodiment of Lord Shiva, which is the teaching of these gods, which is a symbol of the attainment of Liberatioan. It is necessary to know the structure of the organs in the human body to know the path of the atman to heaven and hell in the human organs. Starting from the name of the structure of the organs in the human body, the work system and metabolism of the body as the place where the atman resides and the atman comes out in the process of release. Knowledge of the structure of the body and work systems is used to help focus the mind as it is very important in the attainment of detachment The combination of the atman with the body causes humans to live which is also called Jiwaraga. Man's freedom from the world is one with God that achieves liberation in the text of the Tutur Brahmokta Widhisastra the highest freedom, which is to focus the mind on achieving spiritual freedom towards God, avoiding reincarnation

Abstract

The environmental awareness growing today is a reaction to the environmental chaos caused by the selfish technological achievements. Today, people are actually suffering from problems such as pollution, Population growth, and imbalance in environmental cycles etc. Therefore, humanists of 20th cen. have anxiously stated thinking for such problems, with various dimensions. Param?tm? is nirgu?a (without any quality), akha??a (whole), advaita(only one), nitya (ever existing), nirmala (pure), svayamprak??a (self –luminescent), satya (Truth) and jñ?na svarupa(wisdom incarnate). Puru?a is used as his synonym. The energy (?akti) emanating from the Parm?tm? is the nature (prak?ti) . First this energy is avyakta (unmanifested). Then it becomes mahat( effervescent). Next it attains ahamk?ra (inexorability). And it results in ?abda tanm?tr?s (sound etc. qualities) and turns tangible into the ?k??a pa?cha mah?bhutas (sky etc. five elements). Of these five, water becomes all-pervading. And innumerable brahm??das (universal eggs or universes in spherical shape) begin floating on that water. This is the process of initial creation.

Abstract

Character education has long been under pressure on informal education in Indonesia. During the first Jokowi administration, it was emphasized the importance of character education in the Nawacita program through PPK (Strengthening Character Education) with an emphasis on religious values, nationalism, fighting power, independence, cooperation, and honesty. In this character education, an educator must be able and able to explore the good values ??that already exist in the local culture of society, religious values, Pancasila as the basis and view of the life of the Indonesian nation. This will further expand, be more selective, better known, more explored so that students will be able to choose, recognize, understand, and live it in their lives.

Abstract

Visual-spatial ability is the ability to understand the perspective of space and dimensions. Good visual-spatial skills will make it easier to learn spatial geometry because it is easy to remember images and has a strong imagination. One of the visual-spatial abilities is influenced by gender factors. So in this case the ability of a person, especially a prospective elementary school teacher, must be able to have good special visual abilities. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. This study aims to describe the visual-spatial intelligence of students in understanding spatial structures viewed from gender using the flipped classroom model. The researcher himself as the main instrument of the study, while the supporting instruments are in the form of tests of visual-spatial abilities and interview guidelines. The results of this study indicated that visual-spatial intelligence that is assumed to be owned more by men than by women is not necessarily true, because the intelligence of each person is not only seen from their gender but also their ability to understand spatial or visual patterns they have. Therefore, in the future teachers or lecturers are expected to frequently train students' spatial intelligence in their classes so that students will be able to visualize images and translate images in their minds.
