Abstract

The problems that exist in the new learning system are the main focus in solving educational problems on a national scale. The problems that arise are regarding the learning support facilities experienced by students in carrying out distance learning and limited face-to-face learning. This problem allows student assessment to be non-objective in the learning process, so that it will affect the achievement of the learning objectives that have been set. One aspect of good education services is to provide the best possible facilities to students, both in terms of individual, social, aspirations, needs and potentials. For this reason, student management is needed to be able to provide convenience in facilitating it. One of them is through coaching and developing students so that the student learning experience can be carried out optimally and effectively.

Abstract

Planning is something that must be prepared before the main thing is carried out. Planning is needed to assist in realizing the learning objectives that have been previously set. Careful planning will be able to determine the outcome of learning activities carried out by a teacher or educator. Learning planning is the design of learning activities which can be in the form of a syllabus, learning implementation plan (RPP), and SAP. These three things are the development of the curriculum. Learning planning during the COVID-19 pandemic, namely learning activities carried out remotely or often referred to as distance learning. Teachers and students are not in the same place. To prepare for distance learning there are three main tasks in designing and implementing distance learning, where these three things must also be applied in planning Hindu religious education. The three things are 1) What (Content); 2. Who (Learning Profile, Current Conditions, and Needs); and 3. How (Design and implementation of learning).

Abstract

Designing learning using learning scenario must be mastered by teacher in terms of the theoretical elements in it. Today teachers need to learn how to design learning scenario that is adaptable to the conditions of online learning by applying problem solving skills using a problem based learning model. Online learning scenario also needs to be designed to match the demands of abilities in the 21st century, namely learning and innovation skills, life and skills, and digital literacy. This study uses a mix method design that combines quantitative and qualitative designs at a simple level (Concurrent Mix Method). The population of this study was the 3rd semester of Elementary School Teacher Education Program (PGSD) students by taking a sample of 75 people through purposive sampling technique. The research assessment instrument used an assessment indicator for making online learning scenario adapted to the syntax of the Problem Based Learning model. The findings and results of the research showed that there were still many students who were not skilled in preparing online learning scenario with Problem Based Learning model. It can be seen by only 5% of students who had very high ability in making learning scenario, 29% were categorized to those who had high ability, while 21% were categories to those who had average ability; and 44% belonged to the category of having low ability. This low ability was seen from the aspects of making KKO and adjusting ABCD elements to learning objectives and making final learning activities that still need to be improved. These results can be the reference for both the teachers and the students that in the future the PGSD students can further improve their skills and abilities in designing online learning scenario for the implementation of effective, innovative and meaningful learning in accordance with the demands of the 21st century. Abstract

The spread of Covid-19 around the world has affected everyone in many different aspects, education is not excluded. One of the distinctive impacts of this pandemic on education is the closure of educational institutions to minimize and avoid further spreading of the virus. This has caused tremendous stress on all educators and students because both parties are left with no choice but to resort to online learning platforms to hold their classes. This shift into virtual classrooms has left them flocking to online learning platforms to resume the learning. Although there are a lot of advantages to remote learning, we must also be aware there are issues that need to be addressed regarding remote learning. The outbreak of Covid-19 has certainly been a tough time for everyone, including educators, students, and policymakers. It is therefore vital to have the right attitude in tackling the problems that arise from the current change in education. When it comes to practices, there are a lot of aspects to cover. The policymakers need to painstakingly come up with options that prioritize both the educators and learners. Educators also need to review their lesson plans and equip themselves with ICT knowledge. The best practice that they can do after the Covid-19 outbreak is they should study more about our education system and change where necessary so that students can catch up with the lesson that they have left behind because of this pandemic.

Abstract

The most needed thing during a pandemic is empathy. People need to be intellectually, emotionally, physically and socially aware that every individual has their own battle. This paper avoids being very prescriptive when discussing possible solutions. Hybrid learning has been the way of learning in the transition from school closure to reopening the school period. There are three important things to be remembered when entering the journey of seeking the best solutions. First, having the right mindset that students are the core of our business. Everyone shall take aside their interest and move only under the interest of delivering the rights of our students in learning. Second, teachers are key actors at the school level. They design, enable and execute the learning for the students. Therefore, it is a moral responsibility of everyone to support teachers’ role as instructional leaders. Lastly, there are no uniform solutions nor the same recipe for all schools. Thus, each school can optimise hybrid learning in this changing situation by balancing their ideal expectations and realities.
