Abstract

Social distance forces all sectors to innovate, one of which is in the world of education. Where the government asks schools to implement distance learning using online learning. Online learning activities are much more difficult to do than face-to-face learning because they have to utilize several technologies in their application and are able to use appropriate models, strategies, media, teaching materials and assessments. This situation is a challenge, especially for teachers. Therefore, optimal readiness is needed in the implementation of online learning, especially in elementary schools located in the watershed (Watershed Area). This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach that aims to describe and describe the readiness of teachers in online learning. The research subjects were 24 teachers from three schools using random sampling technique. The results obtained from the implementation of learning from these three schools are that the preparations made by teachers are still not optimal, due to several factors, namely the community environment and parents / guardians of students who are less supportive, facilities and infrastructure in schools that are still lacking and human resources are inadequate. there are some schools that have not been able to carry out online learning activities well. So that later it is hoped that there will be improvements and problem solving solutions from the less than optimal preparation for the implementation of online learning in several schools.

Abstract

Abstract

The implementation of cultural literacy in elementary schools still tends to be content-centric and has not been systematically integrated into digital instructional design, particularly in the context of Dayak culture in Central Kalimantan. This study aims to develop a Mahilung Mobile Learning instructional design based on the 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) as an ethno-edugames framework in strengthening Dayak cultural literacy in elementary school students. The study uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with a mixed-methods design. The definition stage includes needs analysis, student characteristics, and curriculum review to identify Dayak cultural values relevant to Theme 8 "Our Friendly Environment." The design stage includes mapping cultural values into learning objectives, game mechanics, and assessment components. The development stage is carried out through the development of an Android-based application prototype that can be accessed offline, equipped with interactive audio-visual materials, exercises, and ten mini-games based on true-false validation with a scoring system as part of the gamification strategy. Expert validation and limited trials were conducted to refine the design. Qualitative data were analyzed thematically, while quantitative data were analyzed using Likert scores to assess feasibility and user response. The results of the study produced a processual ethno-edugames design framework that structurally integrates Dayak cultural values into digital game-based learning. This research contributes to the development of a contextual, adaptive, and applicable culture-based instructional design model in primary education.

Abstract

Visual-spatial ability is the ability to understand the perspective of space and dimensions. Good visual-spatial skills will make it easier to learn spatial geometry because it is easy to remember images and has a strong imagination. One of the visual-spatial abilities is influenced by gender factors. So in this case the ability of a person, especially a prospective elementary school teacher, must be able to have good special visual abilities. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. This study aims to describe the visual-spatial intelligence of students in understanding spatial structures viewed from gender using the flipped classroom model. The researcher himself as the main instrument of the study, while the supporting instruments are in the form of tests of visual-spatial abilities and interview guidelines. The results of this study indicated that visual-spatial intelligence that is assumed to be owned more by men than by women is not necessarily true, because the intelligence of each person is not only seen from their gender but also their ability to understand spatial or visual patterns they have. Therefore, in the future teachers or lecturers are expected to frequently train students' spatial intelligence in their classes so that students will be able to visualize images and translate images in their minds.

Abstract

Designing learning using learning scenario must be mastered by teacher in terms of the theoretical elements in it. Today teachers need to learn how to design learning scenario that is adaptable to the conditions of online learning by applying problem solving skills using a problem based learning model. Online learning scenario also needs to be designed to match the demands of abilities in the 21st century, namely learning and innovation skills, life and skills, and digital literacy. This study uses a mix method design that combines quantitative and qualitative designs at a simple level (Concurrent Mix Method). The population of this study was the 3rd semester of Elementary School Teacher Education Program (PGSD) students by taking a sample of 75 people through purposive sampling technique. The research assessment instrument used an assessment indicator for making online learning scenario adapted to the syntax of the Problem Based Learning model. The findings and results of the research showed that there were still many students who were not skilled in preparing online learning scenario with Problem Based Learning model. It can be seen by only 5% of students who had very high ability in making learning scenario, 29% were categorized to those who had high ability, while 21% were categories to those who had average ability; and 44% belonged to the category of having low ability. This low ability was seen from the aspects of making KKO and adjusting ABCD elements to learning objectives and making final learning activities that still need to be improved. These results can be the reference for both the teachers and the students that in the future the PGSD students can further improve their skills and abilities in designing online learning scenario for the implementation of effective, innovative and meaningful learning in accordance with the demands of the 21st century. Abstract

The Independent Curriculum implementation requires a paradigm shift in learning assessment practices from outcome-oriented approaches toward assessment supporting continuous, student-centered learning. Assessment should function not only as a measurement tool but also as a foundation for pedagogical decision-making. However, empirical evidence regarding elementary school assessment practices within the Independent Curriculum context remains limited. This study examined learning assessment practices in Independent Curriculum implementation at SDN 7 Panarung, focusing on diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments, and the utilization of assessment results for instructional improvement. This qualitative descriptive observational study involved 12 classroom teachers (grades 1-6), students, and the school principal. Data were collected through participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis, then analyzed using triangulation techniques. Findings indicated that teachers implemented diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments aligned with Independent Curriculum principles. Formative assessment constituted the most prevalent practice, primarily through oral questioning, classroom observation, and daily assignments. However, feedback quality was generally generic rather than specific and constructive. Summative assessment employed various instruments, though written tests remained predominant and higher-order thinking skills assessment was not yet optimized. Assessment results informed remedial and enrichment activities, but implementation lacked systematic documentation. The study concluded that assessment practices at SDN 7 Panarung demonstrated general alignment with Independent Curriculum frameworks. However, continuous professional development, strengthened institutional support, and systematic assessment data utilization are recommended for enhanced implementation quality
