Abstract

Excerpted from The World Factbook of data released by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in 2013, Indonesia is the fifth largest force among the countries with calculations 118.1 million people in 2012. According to data from ILO (International Labour Organization) to Indonesia in 2013, as many as 52% of the Indonesian labor is dominated by women. Economic factors are the main reasons women choose to be workers. This condition then made the woman labors want the welfare given by the company to be maximum and fulfilled. The factors that support the well-being of labors among others is the role of unions labor and compensation. Through the union labor they sent their aspirations so the role of union labor is very important to specify the welfare of women labors. In addition, compensation is also important for the labors as individuals because of the amount of compensation reflects the size of their work among the workers themselves. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of union labor’s role and compensation for the welfare of women workers PT. Hanil Indonesia. This research type is explanatory research. The population in this study were female workers of PT. Hanil Indonesia and the number of samples taken were 95 respondents. The sampling technique used is theSlovin formula. The analytical method used is the correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, T test and F test with SPSS version 16. Research results through coefficient determination analysis shows that the role of union labor and compensation has a positive and significant effect on the woman labors welfare partially (with results respectively 30.5% and 43.9%) and simultaneously 54.4% for the woman labors welfare.            Based on the results, it can be concluded that the role of union labors in PT. Hanil Indonesia is good, besides the compensation is important in supporting their welfare. The advice given in this study is the union labors should be more responsive and quick in responding to complaints of labors as well as the company further improve the welfare of women laborsthrough the compensation.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the influence of organizational culture, self-actualization, and esteem to employee performance of PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) DAOP IV Semarang. The sample method is census of the entire population of 110 respondents was sampled. The author used SPSS 16.0 program to test the regression on the data analysis. The result it can be concluded partially that the variabels has positive influence and significant to employee performance. Organizational culture on the employee performance by during t test (5,772) > t table (1,659). Self-actualization on the employee performance by during t test (5,772) > t table (1,659), and esteem on the employee performance by during t test (7,325) > t table (1,659). Simultaneously, these variabels have a positive influence and significant on the employee performance with the result of F-test (27,262) > F-table (2,690). To improve employee performance, PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) DAOP IV Semarang shall be improving the innovating potency of employee, open up opportunities for employee to take education and training, and increasing rewards.

Abstract

This research aim is to know the influence of the brand awareness, perceived quality , brand associations , brand loyalty to the Purchasing Decision of Blackberry Smartphone. The type of research that used is explanatory research which is using population of a number of active student from Undergraduate Program of Bussiness Administration .Population that is used is about 88 respondents with sample  taken method using purposive sampling ( sample taken method using some considerations). The technique to get data in this research is interview and questioner as the collecting data instrument.The result of the statistic test and F test known that the brand awareness , perceived quality , brand association , and brand loyalty simultaneously have positive influence and significant to the purchasing decision. This can be seen from the result test of determination coefficient influence of brand awareness , perceived quality , brand association , and brand loyalty simultaneously have positive influence and significant to the purchasing decision as big as 0,604 or 60,4 %.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to determine the effect of service quality on customer loyalty through customer satisfaction variables services servicing. Sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling technique with samples gathered from 100 people. Linear regression analysis and significance test were used to test the hypotheses using SPSS 22.0. Result of data analysis Quality of service is significantly positive effect on the customer satisfaction (21.7 percent). Quality of service is significantly positive effect on customer loyalty (7.8 percent). Customer satisfaction is significantly positive effect on customer loyalty (16.8 percent). Service quality significantly affect customer loyalty through customer satisfaction (t count > t table). As a suggestion to improvements increase promotion and advertising, organize events aimed at maintaining social relationships with customers, increase awareness and ready to assist customers difficulties.

Abstract

Some of the factors that affect the performance of the employees include motivation, leadership, and work environment. This study aims to identify and explain the influence of motivation, leadership, and work environment on employee performance of operational Boshe VVIP Club Bali. This type of research is explanatory research. The technique of collecting data using interviews, documentation, observations, and questionnaires. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of price , product and service quality to customer satisfaction Gramedia bookstore Pandanaran Semarang . The sample in this study amounted to 100 respondents using purposive sampling method. Linear regression analysis and significance test is used to prove the hypothesis using SPSS 16. Results of this study concluded that the positive effect on the price to customer satisfaction ( 27.1 percent ) . Product positive effect on customer satisfaction (30,1 percent ). Service quality has positive influence on customer satisfaction ( 18 percent ) . Price , Product and Service Quality influence on customer satisfaction ( t > t table ) . Suggestions for implementing pricing strategies through discount or exhibition event , adding the characteristics and diversity of products and improve service to customers .

Abstract

Banking stocks are the biggest contributor to the existing capitalization on the stock exchanges in Indonesia. Banking stock price movements will be able to directly affect the performance of the Indonesian capital market because of large capitalization . The movement of stock prices are influenced by many factors , one of which is the macro economic factors. In relation to macroeconomic Indonesia, the bank acts as a control over the monetary policy issued by Bank Indonesia . Because of this, the study raised the BI rate, inflation, and Rupiah-US $  Exchange Rate as macroeconomic factors suspected to affect stock prices subsector banks.               This study aims to determine the effect of the BI Rate , Inflation and Rupiah - US $ Exchange Rate against the banking sub-sector stock price  years 2009-2013. Methods of data collection using secondary data of each variable . The sample in this study amounted to 13 banks with purposive sampling technique. Scale measurements using a measuring scale ratio. In linear regression analysis was used and the significance test using SPSS 15.0 .               From the analysis of data it can be concluded that  BI rate has no significant effect on stock prices of banking sub- sector . Inflation has no significant effect on stock prices of banking sub- sector . Rupiah -US $ exchange rate has no significant effect on stock prices of banking sub- sector. Simultaneously, BI Rate, Inflation and Rupiah - US $ Exchange Rate has a significant impact on stock prices of banking sub- sector amounted to 14.2 % .               The advice can be given that investors consider also other factors in addition to the factors BI Rate, Inflation and Rupiah - US $ as a material consideration in decision making stock purchases, especially in the banking sub-sector stocks .

Abstract

                     This research was motivated by the phenomenon of the development of services that controls 72 per cent and 67 per cent of gross domestic product ( GDP ) in developed countries around the world ( Christopher Lovelock , 2007: 7 ) . One of the services needed by society today is insurance . This is why the competition between insurance companies is very sharp which is characterized by the emergence of new insurance companies , so the competition will be intense . Life Insurance is one of the set of branches of AJB Bumiputera 1912 that provides insurance services to a group or collection and also always give the best to the policyholders . Bumiputera prove that the policyholder satisfaction on the product by obtaining Indonesian Customer Satisfaction Award ( ICSA ) , Top Brand Award , and gaining recognition as a leading insurance company in Indonesia for 10 consecutive years from 2003 until 2013 ( Company Profile AJB Bumiputera 1912 ) , but the achievement of policy from 2010 to 2013 never reached the target .                    The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of quality of service , reputation and price premiums to the policyholder 's decision in choosing the group life insurance products ( askum ) AJB Bumiputera 1912 Semarang . This type of research is explanatory research , with data collection through questionnaires and interviews . Sampling technique using purposive sampling technique . The sample in this study amounted to 76 respondents who are policyholders AJB Bumiputera 1912 Askum branch office in Semarang . This study used quantitative analysis techniques . Quantitative analysis using validity , reliability test , correlation coefficient , simple and multiple regression analysis , the coefficient of determination , tests of significance ( t test and F test ) with rock SPSS for windows version 20.0 .The results of this study indicate that the quality of service ( X1 ) , reputation ( X2 ) and the price premium ( X3 ) partially and simultaneously influence the purchase decision ( Y ) .                    Based on the research results , the researchers suggested that the company further improve the quality of care in the form of making the system claims handling standards , maintaining product quality and post various Bumiputera achievement on the internet in order to raise the reputation of the company as well as providing a policy to lower the insurance money so that premium rates can be quite low but still with good service and benefits are balanced so as to increase group life insurance purchasing decision AJB Bumiputera 1912 Semarang.

Abstract

PT. Nasmoco Pemuda Semarang is a company engaged in the marketing of Toyota products for Central Java and Yogyakarta. The tied competition of automotive business led to decreased supposed to be adjective in the number of buyers and many new products from Toyota competitors sells new products with a more elegant design and reasonable price. This study is aimed to identify the driving factors of purchase decisions, specifically differentiation (X1) and promotion (X2) factor on purchasing decision (Y) in PT. Nasmoco Pemuda Semarang. The research type employed is explanatory research. The population used is the consumers buying Toyota Avanza in PT. Nasmoco Pemuda Semarang. The sample used in this study were 98 respondents calculated using the formula Slovin. The sampling technique uses accidental sampling technique. Instrument data collection technique are in questionnaires and interviews. Data were analyzed using linear regression analysis. This research concludes that the differentiation and promotion have an influence on purchasing decisions. Differentiation and promotion explained the purchase decision variable at 24.8% where differentiation has the effect of 26.1% and 15.1% promotion. Differentiation and promotion has significant effect on the purchase decision in PT. Nasmoco Pemuda Semarang, where differentiation has the highest influence. PT. Nasmoco Pemuda Semarang are suggested to frequently conduct sales promotions and provide discount that can make consumers interested to buy Toyota Avanza. Beside that, it’s suggest that PT. Nasmoco Pemuda Semarang increasing  personal selling’s aspects and direct marketing so that consumers knew the product of Toyota Avanza.

Abstract

Product development is one thing that is important and should be done by a business that sells a product that can be accepted by consumers. This study aims to determine the strategy of product development at Batik Semarang 16 and determine the impact of internal and external factors that encourage the development of products. Methods of data collection using interviews and observation. Key informants in this study were employees of Batik Semarang 16. This study used qualitative analysis techniques.The survey results revealed that the product development strategy conducted by Batik Semarang 16 is to develop a design motif of products and also adding new product lines. Jug external factors play a role in encouraging the development of more effective products
