Jurnal Nengah Nyappur adalah Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat telah memiliki e-ISSN 2828-741X yang diterbitkan oleh Jurusan Sosiologi, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Lampung. Periode penerbitan jurnal ini akan dilaksanakan sebanyak 2 (dua) Kali dalam satu tahun pada bulan Mei dan November. Jurnal ini bertujuan untuk menyebarluaskan ide dan gagasan dalam pengembangan ilmu-ilmu sosial dan budaya khususnya bidang Sosiologi. Jurnal Nengah Nyappur mengundang dan menerima artikel hasil Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dari internal Jurusan Sosiologi FISIP Universitas Lampung ataupun dari pihak eksternal untuk dapat berpartisipasi didalamnya. Penulis yang akan mengirimkan naskah pada jurnal ini diharapkan membaca petunjuk penulisan naskah yang ada pada halaman web ini. Apabila penulisan naskah tidak sesuai dengan petunjuk penulisan naskah yang tersedia maka naskah akan ditolak atau dikembalikan kepada penulis untuk dilakukan penyesuaian terhadap petunjuk penulisan naskah yang tersedia.

Abstract

Kabupaten Tulang Bawang Barat memiliki potensi ekosistem perairan berupa bawang (rawa) dan aliran sungai yang secara historis telah menopang kehidupan masyarakat tani dan nelayan. Namun, pengelolaan sumber daya air dan lahan pertanian masih dilakukan secara terpisah, sehingga potensi sinergisnya belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran warga Tiyuh Gedung Ratu tentang konsep Pembangunan Biru (Blue Development), meliputi sistem Mina Padi, pentingnya menjaga kualitas air sungai, dan penguatan peran kelompok tani sebagai wahana partisipasi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 21 Mei 2026 di Balai Tiyuh Gedung Ratu, Kabupaten Tulang Bawang Barat, diikuti 30 warga. Evaluasi menggunakan instrumen pre-test dan post-test dengan 10 butir soal. Hasil menunjukkan rerata skor pre-test 52,4 meningkat menjadi 78,6 pada post-test, dengan peningkatan (N-gain) sebesar 55,0% yang termasuk kategori sedang-tinggi. Seluruh peserta menyatakan ketertarikan untuk menerapkan inovasi Mina Padi dan berkomitmen menjaga kebersihan sungai di lingkungan masing-masing.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide training to strengthen the role and function of Posyandu in improving community health resilience in Panton Reu Subdistrict, West Aceh. Panton Reu is an area with a high stunting rate in Aceh and was affected by the tsunami disaster. In addition, many residents still lack awareness of the importance of bringing infants to posyandu, especially for immunization. To address this issue, APPSI together with the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of Teuku Umar University and Lampung University conducted training using socio-cultural approaches through family sociology and health anthropology perspectives. The activity involved communities and posyandu cadres through socialization, training, and mentoring. The results showed an increase in participants’ understanding of the role and function of posyandu, indicated by the increase in average pre-test and post-test scores from 7.3 to 9.6. Participants also showed active involvement in improving family health resilience and stunting prevention. The outputs include journal publications, seminar presentations, videos, and activity reports.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to strengthen the role of the Penyimbang Adat (traditional leaders) in delivering services for the welfare of the Buwai Khunjung Indigenous Community at the Central Secretariat of Pekon Maja, Kalianda Subdistrict, South Lampung. The Saibatin traditional governance structure in this area still faces problems, including the limited understanding of some Penyimbang Adat regarding their roles, stagnation in the renewal of the customary institutional structure, and the low effectiveness of the penyimbang's role in promoting the economic welfare of indigenous communities. The activity was carried out through a sociological approach involving preliminary observation and interviews, brainstorming and focus group discussion (FGD), as well as socialization and training delivered through lectures, discussions, and simulations to 15 traditional leaders and community members in Pekon Maja. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test instruments to measure changes in participants' understanding, complemented by an impact evaluation through questionnaires. The results showed an increase in participants' understanding of customary governance leadership, the functions and roles of traditional government heads, and the role of the penyimbang in services for indigenous community welfare, with the average score increasing from 62.67 in the pre-test to 76.00 in the post-test, or a 13.33% increase. Participants also demonstrated strong enthusiasm through active involvement in discussions and simulations. This activity contributes to strengthening collective understanding of an ideal model of customary governance structure that can be replicated in other Saibatin indigenous communities in Lampung Province, while also providing a foundation for the sustainability of local-wisdom-based customary institutional mentoring programs

Abstract

Kunjir Village South Lampung Regency possesses considerable ecotourism potential through its coastal ecosystems, coral reefs, local culture, and community-based micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). However, the management of these resources has not been fully optimized due to limited public understanding of sustainable ecotourism principles, weak institutional capacity, and insufficient community participation in tourism management. This community service program aimed to strengthen community capacity in implementing sustainable ecotourism principles using a participatory approach. The activities consisted of field observation, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), brainstorming sessions, village potential mapping, training, and mentoring involving village officials, tourism managers, MSMEs, and local communities. Program evaluation was conducted through qualitative pre-test and post-test assessments to identify changes in participants' understanding. The results indicate significant improvement in community knowledge regarding environmental conservation, community empowerment, sustainable tourism management, and stakeholder collaboration. Furthermore, the program successfully identified the village's natural, cultural, historical, and creative economic assets that can be integrated into sustainable ecotourism packages. The program also generated strategic recommendations for strengthening local institutions, improving MSME competitiveness, and enhancing destination governance to support Kunjir Village as a sustainable and competitive ecotourism destination.
