Abstract

The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of Perceived Family Support, Workplace Support, and Work-Life Balance Policies on Employee Performance through Work-life Balance as Mediator. This study was conducted on female health workers who remained working during the pandemic of Covid-19. This study used primary data sources distributed through the research questionnaires. This Study used purposive sampling that distributed to female health workers in Banyumanik district. This study used Partial Least Square using the SmartPLS 3.3.9 to determine the path coefficient, and the direct or indirect effect of exogenous variables on endogenous variables. The results of statistical test analysis using alpha = 0.05. Meanwhile, the results of this study showed that Perceived Family Support and Workplace Support has a positive and significant effect on work-life balance, as well as work-life balance has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Whereas, Work-Life Balance Policies has no significant effect on Work-Life Balance

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of independent commissioners, managerial ownership, institutional ownership, total asset turnover, and leverage on financial distress. The example used is the property and real estate sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2017-2020 period which is selected using the purposive sampling method. The number of samples obtained is 16 with 4 years of observation so a sample of 64 is obtained. The analysis used is logistic regression analysis with the IBM SPSS 25 program after having previously carried out the goodness of fit to test the feasibility of the data. The results of this study indicate that total asset turnover has a significant negative effect on financial distress. Independent board of commissioners, managerial ownership, institutional ownership, and leverage do not affect financial distress. In this test, the results of the Nagelkerke R Square test were found to be 52.2% and the value for Hosmer and Lemeshow Goodness of Fit was 96.4%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the reaction of Facebook users when they see personalized ads on Facebook. Data obtained leads to characteristics of ads that are liked by the user. Qualitative methods combined with think aloud and observation techniques result in a deep understanding of what the users think when they see ads on Facebook, how they respond to those ads, and why they react in certain ways. Semi-structured interviews with open-ended questions were conducted with 12 subjects. The analysis technique is processed through data reduction and then conclusions are drawn by triangulation to produce valid results. The results are based on the model of the effects of perceived personalization which are the behavioral reactions (ad attitude, ad avoidance, ad credibility, and ad skepticism). Ads that are liked by the users have characteristics of relevance; interesting content; easy to understand context; arouse curiosity; and provide offers such as discounts or promos.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of emotional intelligence on employee performance with affective commitment as an intervening variable. Employee performance is the most important factor, but there is a decline in performance at PT BESS Finance Semarang Branch. There is also a Research Gap which is the background of this research. The population in this study were employees of PT. BESS Finance Semarang Branch using a saturated sampling technique (census) in sampling with a sample size of 100 employees involved in this study. This study uses descriptive and quantitative analysis methods and uses multivariate analysis tools so that it can provide complex variable analysis results through the Smart Partial Least Square (PLS) 3.3.3 application program. The results of this study indicate that Emotional Intelligence has a positive and significant effect on affective commitment and also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Affective Commitment is proven to mediate the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze a phenomenon called social loafing that occurs in students, especially those who are or have experienced heartbreak. Based on social loafing which is a tendency for individuals to expend less effort (Myers, 2012)it often occurs in employees of an organization or company. However, it is possible for students as future HR candidates who often carry out group responsibilities because of a factor, one of which is heartbreak. This research was conducted qualitatively using the phenomenological method, which means interviewing students as resource persons who have experienced social loafing when they have group responsibilities both in organizations and study groups where the results contain the phenomenon itself, itsimpact, and the best solution for the resource person which is compiled so that be a research answer. The results showed that it was true that there was a social loafing phenomenon that occurred in heartbroken students. This phenomenon affects the performance in the group and affects the situation in the group and as a result theresults of the group are not optimal. Solutions in dealing with social loafing certainly vary, including group evaluation, self-introspection, and healing. Referring to the previous literature that examines the workforce, it shows the significance of the occurrence of social laziness on student/individual performance affecting group performance.

Abstract

Along with the times, there is an increase in living standards and lifestyles that make people compete to improve their appearance in terms of hairstyles following the trends. To meet these needs, barbershops have sprung up that offer barber services to specific for men. In Sabang, the barbershop business started around 2020. One of the barbershops with an exclusive nuance is Prestige Barbershop. The target of this business is men who need an attractive appearance. However, Prestige Barbershop is not the only barbershop in Sabang. Various phenomena experienced by Prestige Barbershop, ranging from a decrease in the number of visitors to the receipt of many complaints. Therefore, this study is conducted to examine the effect of quality of services and price on the intention to repurchase Prestige Barbershop services mediated by customer trust. The sampling technique in this study is non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling procedure. A total of 110 respondents were obtained through the distribution of online questionnaires. The respondents used in this study are men who live in Sabang City and have used the services of Prestige Barbershop, then the data were analyzed using the structural equation modeling (SEM) method with the the program of analysis moment of structural (AMOS) version 24. The findings of this study indicate that service quality and price have a positive and significant effect on customer trust. Furthermore, service quality and price have a positive and significant effect on repurchase intention. This study also proves that customer trust mediates the relationship between service quality and price on repurchase intention. Therefore, it can be concluded that all research hypotheses are accepted and are expected to be a reference for Prestige Barbershop in order to increase the trust and repurchase interest of its customers.

Abstract

Online Customer review presents as a liasion between consumers and online product information that can be seen through pictures and descriptiosn provided by other consumers. This reserach aims to develop an empirical research model to overcome the gap between online customer review and consumer trust to create more consumer through purchase decision. This research started with developing a research model to analyse the relations between online customer review, brand image, purchase decision, and consumer trust based on the teory of consumer culture theory and expectation confirmation theory from the previous research. Then, data were collected from 147 respondents using questionnaire consistsing of open and closed questions. The criteria of respondents are user of Tokopedia, residing in Semarang city, and above eighteen years old, and have made at least one purchase on Tokopedia. The data were then analyzed quantitatively and structurally using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method using the Analysis Moment of Strcutural (AMOS) program ver.24 as the analysis tool. Result from this research indicates that online customer review give a significant and positive impact towards purchase decision. Brand imaage also positively & significantly impact purchase decision. A significant and positive relation was also found between purchase decision and consumer trust. Hence, all of the hypotheses are accepted. The findings could be taken into consideration by PT Tokopedia to improve consumer’s level of trust and purchase decision.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Competitive advantage in the franchise business can increase the interest of franchisees because it is considered to have a stable market, good reputation, and an established business. The franchisee's decision to purchase a franchise is based on what they value as providing benefits such as profit, and business continuity. This study aims to examine the effect of brand positioning and franchise fees on franchise purchases. This study uses a survey method and is distributed to the franchisee "Segara" with a total of 27 people, and analyzed using multiple linear regression. Based on the results of research, brand positioning partially affects franchise purchases with a comparison of thitung 4.366 > ttabel 2.063 and sig. 0.000 < 0.05 (Alpha), and also the franchise fee (franchise fee) partially affects the purchase of a franchise with a comparison of the value of thitung 2.218 > ttabel 2.063 and sig. 0.036 < 0.05 (Alpha), besides that brand positioning and franchise fees (franchise fees) simultaneously affect the purchase of franchises with a comparison of fhitung 27.656 > ftabel 3.39 and sig. 0.000 < 0.05 (Alpha). The dependent variable can be explained by 69.7% based on the R Square value of 0.697.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The rapid development of today's technology, resulting in the growth of the number of social media users. With the increase in social media users, E-WOM in the current era has become the most commonly used medium for sharing and exchanging information about various products from a brand. These developments require companies to convince customers in making purchasing decisions for the goods sold. Related to this, the purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of E-WOM on purchasing decision making and customer satisfaction through brand trust in Starbucks consumers in Semarang City. The population in this study are Starbucks consumers in Semarang City, who actively use social media TikTok. The research sample used was a total of 110 respondents and the sample was collected using the purposive sampling method and then the data would be processed using SPSS 21 and AMOS 24. The results of the study show that E-WOM has a positive and significant effect on Brand Trust, and then Brand Trust has a positive and significant effect on Purchase Decision and Customer Satisfaction.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the relationship between the board of director diversity and financial distress. This research used board of director size, gender diversity, age diversity, and nationality diversity as the independent variable, while financial distress measured with Altman Z-Score was adopted as the dependent variable. This research also implemented control variables using ROA and firm size. The sample used in this study is conventional bank listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2020. A total of 36 conventional banks were used as the sample obtained using the purposive sampling method. The analytical method used in this research is binomial logistic regression analysis using IBM SPSS 25. The result of this study discovered that board of director size has a negative significant effect on financial distress. Meanwhile, gender, age, and nationality diversity does not affect financial distress. The score of Nagelkerke R-Square is 29,1% which means there are 70,9% of factors not included in this research that affect the possibilities of financial distress
