Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of job stress, role conflict and younger age on turnover intention. Independent variable in this study are job stress and role conflict.Turnover intention as dependent variable and younger age as moderating variable without neglecting older age variable.            Methods of data analysis used in this research is regression analysis and sub-groups analysis.Methods of data collection in this study used a questionnaire with a sample of 80 employees of New Metro Hotel Semarang. The questionnaires were distributed by accidental sampling method or each individual is chosen randomly.            Based on the regression analysis resulted that job stress has positive significant effect on turnover intention,and role conflict has positive and significant effect on turnover intention. Then based on the results of sub-group analysis suggest that the younger age moderate the relationship between job stress and turnover intention.

Abstract

This research is motivated employee discipline in the Batang DPPKAD Year 2013. Low labor discipline is because the agency has not provided compensation and oversight of the leadership is good and right. This study aimed to examine the effect of compensation and oversight leadership to discipline the employee DPPKAD Batang. This study uses Slovin formula with sample was 50 people from Batang DPPKAD employee population of 100 people. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression. The results of the study found that the following regression equation: Y = 0.345 X1 + 0.560 X2. Based on the analysis of statistical data, indicators - indicators in this study is valid and reliable. In the classical assumption test, regression model-free multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity and does not occur in normal distribution. The greatest variable is the variable leadership oversight of 0.560, while the smallest variable is the variable compensation of 0,345. The results of the study found that all independent variables are positive and significant effect on the dependent variable.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate: (1) The effect of total asset turnover (TATO), book to market ratio (BMR), and debt equity ratio (DER) to trading volume activity (TVA), (2) The effect of of total asset turnover (TATO), book to market ratio (BMR), debt equity ratio (DER), and trading volume activity (TVA) to the expected return (E(Ri)), (3) The effect of total asset turnover (TATO), book to market ratio (BMR), and debt equity ratio (DER) to the expected return (E(Ri)) through trading volume activity (TVA) as an intervening variable. Population of this research is 45 banking companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchage. After used purposive sampling technique, then obtained total sample of 16 companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchage 2011-2014. Path analysis used to be analysis technique using program SPSS 20 for windows to determine the effect of mediation. The result of this study showed that TATO and BMR significantly positive  effect on TVA. DER have positif effect on TVA but not significant. TATO, BMR, and DER have positif effect on E(Ri) but not significant. TVA significantly positive effect on E(Ri). The result of sobel test showed that TVA can used as intervening variable because significantly positive mediate the relation between TATO and BMR toward E(Ri).

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the effects of Capital Adequacy Ratio, Net Operating Margin, Financing to Deposit Ratio, Non Performing Financing, and Profit Sharing toward profitability of Sharia Commercial Banks of 2011-2015 period. The writer used the data from Quarterly Publication Financial Reports of Sharia Commercial Banks of 2011-2015 period.The populations of the research were 11 Sharia Commercial Banks in Indonesia. However, after passing the purposive sampling stage, there were only 5 samples of Sharia Commercial Banks that were feasible to be investigated, which were Bank Mandiri Syariah, Bank Central Asia Syariah, Bank Rakyat Indonesia Syariah, Bank Muamalat Indonesia, and Bank Negara Indonesia Syariah. The analitical technic that the writer used in this research was multiple linear regression which purpose was to obtain the whole image of the relation among variables. Classical assumption test that the writer used in this research were multicollinearity test, autocorrelation test, heteroscedasticity test, and normality test.The result of this research shows that CAR variable affects negatively and significantly toward ROA. NOM variable affects positively and non-significantly toward ROA. NPF variable affects negatively and significantly toward ROA. Meanwhile, FDR variable affect negatively and non-sicnificantlu and Profit Sharing affect positively and significantly toward ROA. The prediction ability of the five variables toward ROA is 26,5%, while the rest is affected by other factors that are not investigated in this research.

Abstract

This study condected to analyze the effest of Capital Structure (Debt to Equity Ratio/DER),  Profitability  (Return  On  Equity/ROE,  Dividend Policy  (Dividend  Payout Ratio/ DPR), Firm Size (SIZE) to the  Pay Book Value (PBV). The data used in this study were obtained from the data published annual financial reports companies listed at Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2008-2012.The selection of the sample using purposive sampling and number of sample used by 20 wholesale and retail trade companies. Variables used in this study are Capital Structure (Debt to Equity Ratio/DER), Profitability (Return On Equity/ROE, Dividend Policy (Dividend Payout Ratio/ DPR), Firm Size (SIZE) as an independent variable; and Pay Book Value (PBV) as an dependent variable. The analysis technique used are multiple linier regression.The result showed that DER and DPR have no significant impact to PBV. ROE and SIZE has positive and significantly impacted to PBV.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of organizational culture, transformational leadership style and job satisfaction towards organizational commitment at PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia Witel Semarang.The sampling method used on this research is proportional random sampling. Samples were collected from 70 respondents who are employees at PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia Witel Semarang. Analysis method used here is multiple regression analysis which includes validity test, reliability test, classic assumption test, multiple linear regression test and hypothesis test.The result showed that organizational culture, transformational leadership style had no effect on organizational commitment. While job satisfaction is the only variable that has significant influence on organizational commitment.

Abstract

The background to the problem, that the various efforts made by the company are not offsetby increased sales. The results of the field survey showed that in the last three years of customerloyalty to the service delivery HIRA Cargo Semarang branch decreased. This study aims todetermine and describe the effect of service performance, reliability and customer satisfaction tocustomer loyalty in using freight forwarder Cargo Branch at Hira SemarangPopulation of the research are a HIRA Cargo consumers who are still actively using theHIRA freight Cargo Branch Semarang until October of 2012. Data collection is done usingquestionnaires. The analysis including validity and reliability, the assumption test, test hypothesesthrough F test and t test, coefficient of determination (R2). Data analyze techniques using linearregression analysis.Hypothesis testing using t test showed that the three independent variables studied wereservice performance (X1), trust (X2), and customer satisfaction (X3) have significantly affect to thedependent variable, customer loyalty (Y). Then through the F test showed that the variables serviceperformance, trust, and customer satisfaction have a significant effect in Customer loyalty.Adjusted R Square proving that the customer loyalty variables can be explained by three variablesservice performance, trust, and customer satisfaction.

Abstract

The problem that arises in Ken Saras Hospital is a decrease in employee performance which can be seen from the decline in the employee performance index and supported by the results of a survey which states that patients are less satisfied with the services of employees. Variables suspected of influencing employee performance are person-organization fit, workload and transformational leadership. This study aims to analyze the influence of person-organization fit, workload and transformational leadership on the performance of nurses at Ken Saras Hospital.The population and sample used in this study were nurses at Ken Saras Hospital. The sampling technique used is the census. Data collection methods in this study use questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis method uses multiple linear regression analysis.Based on the results of the study, person-organization fit, and transformational leadership have a positive effect on the performance of nurses at Ken Saras Hospital, while the workload has a negative effect on the performance of nurses at Ken Saras Hospital. Employee performance can be explained by the independent variable, person-organization fit, workload and transformational leadership, amounting to 82.2%.

Abstract

This research has purpose to analyze the influence of transformational leadership and work motivation on employee performance with job satisfaction as an intervening variable (research in PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 4 Semarang).The respondent for this research totaled 100 employees PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 4 Semarang. Technique of sample collection used Accidental Sampling and used the analysis of Linear Analysis, Path Analysis and Test Sobel.Research result showed that the transformational leadership has a positive and significant influence on the job satisfaction, work motivation has a positive and significant influence on the job satisfaction, transformational leadership has a positive influence but is not significant on the employee performance, work motivation has a positive influence but is not significant on the employee performance, job satisfaction has a positive and significant influence on employee performance. Additionally, job satisfaction just capable mediating the relationship between work motivation on employee performance.

Abstract

Along with the growth and development of the furniture business in Indonesia which has increased  very  rapidly.  The  number  of company  that  offer  furniture  product  are  increasing. Particularly at “Gading Makmur” company that wood based processed wood products. Increasing competition  between  furniture  company to  sell  their  products  ,  causing  Gading  Makmur Company’s sales decline. Gading Makmur should be able to use the best marketing strategies to stay afloat.This  study  uses  five  variables:  perceive  quality,  country  of  origin,  promotion,  and purchasing decisions. This research hypothesis testing using the data of 34 respondents. The analysis technique used in this research is to use a software program Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) 23.The result of this study indicate that variable perceive quality, country of origin, and promotion are positively affect to purchase decision.
