Abstract

This research is based on the phenomenon of the emergence of various new brands, especially for motorcycle matic category. Currently the market share of motorcycles matic controlled by yamaha mio. This indicates the increasingly tight competition in world sales of motorcycles in seizing the market. This study aims to examine the effect of product differentiation variables, brand image and brand preference on motor Matic Yamaha mio purchasing decision in Semarang city.The number of samples of 100 respondents was taken by purposive sampling technique. Data analysis method used is multiple regression analysis, where the analysis include: validity test, reliability  test,  classic  assay  test,  linear  regression  test  bergannda,  t  test,  F  test,  test  of determination.The result of multiple regression analysis showed that all independent variables of product differentiation (0,273), brand image (0,330) and brand preference (0,284) have positive and significant relation to dependent variable that is purchasing decision.

Abstract

The background of this study is the sales decline of Micro and Small Business Enterprise (MSBE) in Semarang, and the controversy of the research findings about the influences of Entrepreneurial Competence, Market Sensing Capability and Competitive Advantage towards Marketing Performance. The number of sample in this study was 385 Micro and Small Business Enterprise (MSBE) in Semarang, with purposive sampling technique. The questionaires was distributed on March 2015. The data collected from the questionnaires was then processed using multiple regression method.The results of this study show that the two of the independent variables have positive influences to the competitive advantage and market performance. Entrepreneurial competence has the biggest influence to competitive advantage and competitive advantage has the biggest influence to market performance. This results support the previous research that entrepreneurial competence and market-sensing capability has a significant positive influence to competitive advantage and competitive advantage has proven to be an intervening variable to market performance. The conclusion of this study shows that entrepreneurial competence and market-sensing capability has positive and significant influences to competitive advantage and an indirect influence to market performance.

Abstract

The online shopping nowadays has represented a significant escalation. A lot of e- commerce types have emerged in line with the changing of the way people shop from market place to market space. Lazada.co.id is one of e-commerce sites founded by Germany’s Rocket Internet, that now has become one of the most popular e-commerce sites in Indonesia. But, the popularity of Lazada.co.id should be reviewed due to the decrease of marketing performance from 2015-2016 that can also be seen from the decrease in the brand share of e-commerce Business to Consumer (B2C) values. The decrease of marketing performance is able to weaken Lazada.co.id site. This research is conducted to analyze factors that affect trust, buying interest, and transaction security in order to increase consumer buying decision of Lazada.co.id site in Semarang. By using data from 200 respondents who have made a purchase in Lazada.co.id throughout 2016, nine  hypotheses are proposed through Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis. The result of this research has shown that purchase decision is affected by trust. Consumer trust will be increased if quality of product information given by the website is considerably good. Thus, it will form a consumer trust.

Abstract

The research was inspired by Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) of food and beverage (F & B) industries which have not receive a certificate of SPP IRT from BPOM. The certificate is given to SMEs that have passed for quality test in production process. The objective of the research is to analyze influence of quality management implementation to SMEs’ organization performance which similar to Total Quality Management. The research was also a replication and modification of the previous research written by Salaheldin (2008). The object of the research was focus to SMEs of F & B industries in Salatiga, Central Java.This research was an empirical study by using the whole population called census technique in data collection. The data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to the 42 owners of SMEs or who were authorized to manage the SMEs above. Data analysis was performed by Structural Equation Model (SEM) with the PLS (Partial Least Square) Smart Software.The analysis of hypothesis showed that all of proposed hypothesis were accepted. The variables of Strategic, Tactical and Operational factor; had a positive and significant impact on Operational Performance, Financial Performance, and Non-Financial Performance. And the variable of Operational Performance had a positive and significant impact on Financial Performance and Non-Financial Performance

Abstract

The existence of information asymmetry and the tendency of external parties (investors) to pay more attention to profit information as a parameter of corporate performance, encouraging management to perform earnings on firm size, laverage, institutional ownership, and managerial ownership.The research was conducted to analyse the effect of firm size, laverage, institutional ownership and managerial ownership as independent variable to earnings management as dependent variable either partially or simultaneously. This study uses Discretionary Accruals as a profit management proxy calculated using a modified jones model. Sampling method used in this research is purposive sampling. The sample used is 20 manufacturing companies for the 2012-2015 observation year. So as many as 80 samples of observational research. Sources of research data obtained from the financial statements of manufacturing companies in Indonesia are listed in Panama Paper.Based on the results of the calculation of the classical assumption test is known that the data used in this study normal distribution, can not multikolonieritas, free autocorrelation and free heterokedastisitas. Of the four hypotheses proposed, only firm size significantly affects earning management, while leverage, institutional ownership, and managerial ownership have no significant effect on earnings management. For futher research it is expected to use other variables that influence earnings management in addition to the variables that have been used in this study, prolong the observation time, and increase the number of samples with the expectation of synchronization between partial hypothesis and simultaneous hypothesis.

Abstract

Firm value is a depiction of how success is a firm in running their business. Therefore, this research is conducted to analyze the effect given by some factors such as Profitability (ROE), Leverage (DAR), and Firm Size (Size), and Price Earning Ratio (PER) to Firm Value (PBV) on the company that registered in the LQ-45 index between 2011-2014 period.The sample in this research are 22 companies that always exists on the LQ-45 index between 2011-2014 period.  The sampling method used is purposive sampling. The data in this research obtained from the companies’ annual report. Data analysis in this research done with multiple linear regression method.The result from this research showed that Profitability, Firm Size, and  Price Earning Ratio have positive significant effect to Firm Value; while Leverage has a negative significant effect to Firm Value. The adjusted R2 score of 0,907 showed that ROE, DAR, Size, and PER have 90,7% to PBV, while the other 9,3% are determined by another variable.

Abstract

Intention to quit is one of the most widely researched areas in organizational analysis because the lack of competent employees can negatively impact the organization's competitive advantage. Employees who are less competent can be caused by work family conflict and family work conflict when they work. Imbalances of both roles can cause employees experiencing burnout due to prolonged stress. Continuous burnout conditions can trigger employees to have intention to quit from their work. The aim of this study is to describe and analyze the influence of work family conflict and family work conflict on intention to quit with burnout as an intervening variable.This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to all female employees of PT Telekomunikasi  Indonesia,  Tbk.  Wilayah Semarang  which  amounted  to  46  employees.  Data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis. Mechanical testing data used this study include the path analysis and sobel test to test the effect of mediation.The results showed that work family conflict positive and significant influence to burnout and intention to quit, family work conflict positive and significant influence to burnout and intention to quit, and burnout positive and significant influence on intention to quit. Additionally, burnout capable  mediating the  relationship  between  work family conflict  and family work  conflict  on intention to quit.

Abstract

Funding decisions a company to fund its operations, must be in accordance with the main objectives of the company. The funding decision was able to minimize the risks and costs that the company's main goal is reached. To achieve the goal, the company must have an optimal capital structure. The many factors affecting capital structure or debt policy, the study aims to analyze the factors that influence the policy of the company's debts. The independent variable of this study consisted of liquidity (CR), sales growth (SG), company size (SIZE), profitability (ROA), institutional ownership (INST), and managerial ownership (MOWN). Meanwhile, the dependent variable is the Debt to Equity Ratio or DER.Object of this research is manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2009 until 2013. The sample used in this study were 8 manufacturing company. The sampling method is done by using purposive sampling. Analysis of data using multiple linear regression analysis, which is preceded by the classical assumption, consisting of normality test, multicollinearity, autocorrelation, and heteroscedasticity test. Hypothesis testing is done by using the F test and t-test.The results of this study indicate that liquidity, sales growth, firm size, profitability, institutional ownership, and managerial ownership together influence the company’s debt policy. While, in partial, liquidity (CR),  profitability (ROA), and managerial ownership (MOWN) significant negative effect on the DER. Variable institutional ownership (INST) did not significant negative effect on the DER. While, firm size (SIZE) and sales growth (SG) had no significant positive effect on the DER. The degree of determination (Adjusted R Square) is 0,457. This means that the independent variable (CR, ROA, SIZE, Sales Growth, INST, and MOWN) can explain the dependent variable (DER) by 45.7%. While, the remaining 54.3% is explained by other variables outside the model study.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of Working Capital to Total Assets (WCTA), Total Assets Turnover (TAT), Debt Ratio (DR), Return On Assets (ROA), Shareholder Equity to Total Assets (SETA), Inflation Sensitivity, Exchanger Rate Sensitivity, BI Interest Rate Sensitivity toward Financial Distress on manufacturing companies listed in BEI from 2010 to 2014.             The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling technique using 95 manufacturing companies listed in BEI. Secondary data in this research using manufacturing companies financial reports during 2010-2014. The analysis technique is using logistic regression.            The result of this research shows that WCTA, ROA, SETA, and BI Interest Rate Sensitivity had a negative and significantly influence on financial distress. Variable TAT had a negative and no significant effect on financial distress. Variable DR and Inflation Sensitivity had positive and no significant effect on financial distress. Variable Exchange Rate had positive significant effect on financial distress..

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Brand Image, Perceived Quality and  price to the buying decision. This study is a descriptive type of research, ie research that describes the objects that relate to decisions of a general nature. Samples used in the study of 100 respondents. In this study using accidental sampling means sampling is that sampling is done by giving a questionnaire to be filled to the consumers who make purchasing decisions on the Bandeng Presto. Data analysis methods used in this study is a descriptive statistical analysis and regression analysis. Descriptive statistical analysis is the interpretation of data obtained in this study and the data processing which is executed by giving descriptions and explanations. Regression analysis include validity and reliability, the classical assumption test, multiple regression analysis, determination of test, test of Goodness of Fit via the F test and t test. The results prove that the three independent variables namely brand image, perceived quality, and price has a positive and significant effect on the dependent variable, namely  Bandeng Presto purchase decision. The results of multiple regression test showed That all independent variables (brand image,  perceived quality, and price) a  positive influence on purchase decisions. The greatest positive influence on purchase decisions Bandeng Presto are on a variable-brand image with a coefficient of 0.478, then the variable  perceived quality with a coefficient of 0.207, while the most influential variables are low that price of the value of the variable coefficient of 0.198.
