Abstract

Background: Mother's milk (ASI) is the only source of natural nutrients produced by humans, breast milk contains a good nutritional composition and contains non-nutritive bioactive components that function for development. Breast milk can save the lives of more than 820,000 children under 5 years of age each year, the majority 87%, especially babies under 6 months of age. Objective: to determine the effectiveness of oxytocin massage and efflurage massage on the milk volume of primiparous postpartum mothers. This research method uses a quasi-experimental type, a research design with two groups (Oxytocin massage group and Effleurage Massage group) pre-test post-test design, to determine the effect of oxytocin massage and Effleurage massage on increasing the volume of breast milk in primiparous postpartum mothers. Sampling with non-probability sampling technique obtained a total sample of 34 respondents. Methods of data analysis using non-parametric static analysis techniques Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney with α 0.05. Results: From the results of the study on 17 respondents, the results showed that there were differences in the pretest and posttest in the oxytocin massage and efflurage massage groups, namely an increase in milk production after treatment, namely there was a difference in the mean pretest and mean posttest with the result P = 0.001 < α 0.05.   Conclusion: From the results of the study on 34 respondents there was an effect of Oxytocin massage and Effleurage massage on increasing milk production in postpartum mothers

Abstract

Background: As many as 46 million people (17%) of the total population of productive age in Indonesia are in the adolescent age group (10-19 years), with a classification of 48% female adolescents and 52% male adolescents. In Indonesia, the prevalence of nutritional status based on BMI/U in the population aged 5-12 years is 2.4% very thin, 6.8% thin, 10.8% fat and 9.2% obese. While the prevalence of nutritional status based on height / age, 6.7% very short and 16.9% short. Purpose: describe the nutritional status of the pre-adolescent group. Method: The research design uses a cross-sectional study, through physical examination and documentation studies. The research sample was conducted using a random sampling technique of 50 students, and analyzed using descriptive analysis. Results: The research results revealed that 58% of the 50 student samples were female, and based on the results of examination of weight and height, the prevalence of nutritional status of the 50 student samples, the majority of 82% had good nutritional status. Conclusion: Gender is an internal factor that determines nutritional needs, so there is a relationship between gender and nutritional status. In standard anthropometric assessment of children's nutritional status based on BMI/U at the age of   5 to 18 years is used to determine the categories of malnutrition, undernutrition, good   nutrition, over nutrition and obesity

Abstract

Background: Menstruation is a normal part of the cyclical process that occurs in healthy women between puberty and the end of the reproductive years (Rahayu, Pertiwi, and Patimah 2017). During menarche (menstruation) there are disturbances in the form of cramps, pain and discomfort. One of menstrual pain in young women is dysmenorrhea (Abarca, 2021). If dysmenorrhea is not treated immediately, it can have a negative impact on women's activities or activities, especially young women. Counter pressure is persistent pressure exerted by a person by pressing a fist or the bottom of the palm against the sacral area. The aim of this research is to develop a counter pressure technique for pain.Methodology : This study is a quantitative study with a pre-experimental design. The design of this study uses a two-group pretest-posttest design that uses a comparison group (control). In this study, the first test (pre-test) allows researchers to examine the changes that occur after the intervention. The sample of this research obtained a sample of 90 female students. Data analysis using a statistical test that can be used is the Wilcoxon test. Results: The Wilcoxon test results for the intervention application group obtained a PValue of 0.000 <0.05, then: Ha was accepted, Ho was rejected, therefore it can be concluded that there is an effect of the counter pressure method on the intensity of dysmenorrhea pain in young women at MA Sultan Agung Ngawen. Conclusion: there is an influence of the technique of developing the counter pressure method on the intensity of dysmenorrhea pain in young women at MA Sultan Agung Ngawen

Abstract

Background : One of the goals of child health efforts is to ensure the survival of children through efforts to reduce the mortality rate of newborns, infants, and toddlers. The most common cause of neonatal death in 2021 in Indonesia are Low Brirth Weight (LBW) conditions of 34.5% and asphyxia of 27.8%. Other causes of death include congenital abnormalities, infection, COVID- 19, neonatal tetanus, and others. Factors that influence the incidence of LBW are maternal factors including the presence of diseases experienced by the mother during pregnancy (pregnancy complications, one of which is due to anemia), maternal factors (geographical), namely maternal age and parity, social economic conditions, educational status of the mother. Purpose: to determine the factors that influence the incidence of low birth weight babies (LBW) Method: This research is a quantitative study using an observational analytic survey with a cross-sectional approach, with a sample size of 207 respondents. Bivariate analysis with Chi Square test. Results: The results of the analysis in this study showed that maternal age (OR = 1.836) and parity (OR = 0.950) were not risk factors for low birth weight in newborns, while the variable Hb level (OR = 15.782) and LILA size (OR = 9,538) is a risk factor for low birth weight. Conclusion: The results of this study are that the Hb level and LILA size in pregnant women are risk factors for low birth weight, while maternal age and parity are not risk factors for low birth weight babies

Abstract

Background : One of the goals of health efforts for pregnant women is to ensure the health of the mother and fetus through efforts to reduce maternal and newborn mortality rates. : The existence of problems in pregnant women, such as complications that can endanger the safety of pregnant women, is often caused by pregnant women not making Antenatal Care (ANC) visits. This can be seen from the failure to fulfill the K4 Coverage target in the Central Java region such as Grobogan Regency, 90.2%. Meanwhile, in 2023, there will be a K1–K4 Drop Out (DO) of 4.5 percent. This means that there are still 4.5 percent of pregnant women who do not receive fourth-term antenatal care. Purwodadi I Community Health Center, which is one of the Community Health Centers in Purwodadi District, Grobogan Regency, has low Antenatal Care (ANC) visits in 6th place, namely, the coverage of K4 visits in 2023 is felt to be still less than the set target of 95%. The lack of Antenatal Care is influenced by the lack of husband's support in terms of emotional support, facilities, information and appreciation, causing pregnant women to be disobedient in carrying out antenatal care during pregnancy.Purpose: To determine the effect of husband's support on pregnant women's compliance with antenatal care Method: This research is a quantitative study using an observational analytical survey with a cross sectional approach. The study population was 98 third trimester pregnant women. The sample technique used accidental sampling with 46 respondents. Results: In this study, there is a relationship between husband's support and compliance with antenatal care examinations for pregnant women at the Purwodadi I Community Health Center in 2023, with a P value = 0.001. There are sub variables in this research, namely there is a relationship between emotional support (P value = 0.001), instrumental support (P value = 0.007), and appreciation support (P value = 0.034) with compliance with antenatal care examinations for pregnant women at the Purwodadi Community Health Center I Year 2023. Meanwhile, there is no relationship between informational support and compliance with antenatal care examinations in pregnant women with a P value of sign = 0.053. Conclusion: The results of this study conclude that husband's support consisting of emotional support, instrumental support, informational support, and appreciation support plays a role in increasing pregnant women's compliance with antenatal care. Health workers are advised to provide explanations and increase information about the importance of complying with ANC examinations during pregnancy at least four times. Husbands are also expected to provide extra support to pregnant women, such as providing the necessities needed during pregnancy and accompanying the mother when visiting ANC
