Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of tourism attractiveness and motivation on visiting decisions at the Tagepe Noinbila water tourism site in South Central Timor (TTS). The research employs a quantitative descriptive approach using both primary and secondary data collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and literature review. Instrument testing was conducted through validity and reliability assessments to ensure data accuracy. The findings reveal that tourism attractiveness and motivation have a significant effect on visiting decisions, both partially and simultaneously. These results indicate that improving the quality of tourism attractions and strengthening visitor motivation play an important role in encouraging tourists’ decisions to visit the Tagepe Noinbila destination.

Abstract

This study explores the condition of non-star hotels in Kupang City in response to government efficiency policies using a qualitative approach with four hotel owners. The findings show that these hotels primarily serve small events and personal stays rather than government institutions. While the policy has no direct impact, it indirectly reduces income stability, with occupancy declining by about 50%. To cope, owners cut operational costs, and most employees often family members are paid below the minimum wage, sometimes with delayed payments. Government support is perceived as limited, leaving non-star hotels operating in a vulnerable condition.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of e-service quality and customer engagement on customer loyalty, with customer satisfaction as a mediating variable among DANA digital wallet users. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 150 university students in Kediri through Likert scale-based questionnaires and analyzed using SEM-PLS. The findings reveal that e-service quality and customer engagement positively and significantly affect customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. Customer satisfaction also has a significant positive effect on loyalty and successfully mediates the relationships between e-service quality, customer engagement, and customer loyalty. These results indicate that improving service quality and strengthening user engagement can enhance customer satisfaction and ultimately increase customer loyalty in digital wallet services.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the government management process from the perspective of the organizing system, including division of labor, departmentalization, distribution of authority, and coordination in achieving efficiency and effectiveness at the Department of Settlements and Infrastructure of Ambon City. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through literature review, observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the division of labor is not fully aligned with main tasks and functions, departmentalization is relatively well implemented, while the distribution of authority and coordination remain weak, resulting in suboptimal integration and overall inefficiency and ineffectiveness in organizational performance.

Abstract

This study examines cross-factional political communication in public policy formulation within the Central Maluku Regency DPRD using a political sociology perspective and qualitative methods. The findings reveal that formal and informal communication complement each other in facilitating negotiation, conflict resolution, and consensus-building throughout the policymaking process. Communication effectiveness is strengthened by integrated political networks, digital media adaptation, and political party coordination through ideological alignment, organizational discipline, and coalition-building. Deliberative negotiation and the integration of constituents’ aspirations further enhance policy legitimacy. These findings highlight the critical role of effective cross-factional communication in strengthening legislative performance, promoting inclusive governance, and improving public policy outcomes.

Abstract

Ethical business practices are essential for corporate sustainability, transparency, and stakeholder trust. This study examines whether companies listed on the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) disclose business ethics more comprehensively than non-ISSI firms. Using panel data from 1,512 firm-year observations of Indonesia Stock Exchange-listed companies during 2015–2018, the study employs independent sample t-tests and regression analysis. The findings show that ISSI-listed companies exhibit significantly higher levels of business ethics disclosure, particularly in governance-related practices. These results suggest that Sharia compliance enhances ethical transparency and supports stronger corporate governance, stakeholder trust, and long-term organizational sustainability.

Abstract

Fire disasters remain a major public safety concern in Indonesia, with more than 10,000 incidents recorded annually during 2020–2024. This study examines the quality of fire management services provided by the Ambon City Fire and Rescue Service, identifies factors influencing service performance, and proposes strategies for improvement. A qualitative approach was employed through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that service quality has not fully met community expectations due to inadequate facilities and infrastructure, limited human resource capacity, underutilized information technology, weak inter-agency coordination, and low public awareness of fire prevention. To address these challenges, the study recommends an integrated strategy encompassing human resource development, infrastructure modernization, digital technology utilization, strengthened regulations and coordination, and community empowerment. These measures are expected to enhance service quality, improve emergency response effectiveness, and strengthen public safety in Ambon City.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of road and electricity infrastructure on economic growth in West Seram Regency, Indonesia. A quantitative approach was employed using a field survey supported by a literature review. Primary data were collected through structured questionnaires, while secondary data were obtained from official government publications. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The findings demonstrate that road and electricity infrastructure jointly exert a significant positive influence on regional economic growth. Improvements in transportation and electricity infrastructure enhance accessibility, facilitate the movement of goods and services, increase economic productivity, and strengthen regional connectivity. This study contributes to the limited empirical evidence on the complementary role of road and electricity infrastructure in promoting economic growth within island regions. The findings also provide practical insights for regional governments in designing integrated infrastructure investment policies to support sustainable economic growth and reduce regional development disparities.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become an important strategy for improving administrative services in higher education. This study examines the relationships among organizational support, digital transformation, and administrative service performance in vocational higher education. A quantitative explanatory approach was employed using data from 144 students at Politeknik Negeri Ambon, which were analyzed using path analysis. The results indicate that organizational support positively influences digital transformation and administrative service performance. However, digital transformation neither directly improves administrative service performance nor mediates the relationship between organizational support and service performance. These findings suggest that effective digital transformation requires not only technological investment but also strong institutional commitment, organizational readiness, and responsive administrative practices to achieve sustainable improvements in service quality.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of distributive justice and work life balance on employee performance through the mediating role of work engagement among operational employees of SPX Express in Cirebon, Indonesia. Using a quantitative causal associative design, data were collected from 123 employees selected through purposive sampling and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0. The results indicate that distributive justice and work life balance do not directly affect employee performance but significantly enhance work engagement, which subsequently improves performance. Work engagement fully mediates the relationships between organizational resources and employee performance. These findings emphasize the importance of work engagement as a psychological mechanism linking organizational practices to performance outcomes. This study contributes to Equity Theory and Job Demands–Resources Theory while providing practical implications for improving logistics employee performance through engagement based strategies.
