Abstract

This study examine the consequences of the EU's black campaign on the volume of Indonesia's crude palm oil (CPO) exports to the EU from 2019 to 2023. Using qualitative methods, it analyzes primary data from informants and secondary data from relevant documents. The findings reveal that the Black Campaign and the policies implemented by the EU have significantly contributed to a decline in Indonesia's CPO export volume towards the EU, caused by the damaging portrayal of Environmental issues that are not accurate and the hindrance of export growth caused by protective policies such as RED II. This research contributes to theories in international trade and offers insight for strengthening standardization and certification on of CPO in Indonesia. The implications of this study are critical for understanding the intersection of Environmental concerns and trade policies, for fairer practices in international trade that consider the realities faced by producing countries like Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines adolescent e- money usage behavior in Ambon, influenced by lifestyle, self-control, and family socioeconomic status. Data from surveys, interviews, and observations were analyzed using cluster and descriptive statistical analysis. Findings show that adolescents are grouped into three behavioral categories: Good, Fair, and Poor. Higher family socioeconomic status increases spending tendencies, while low self-control leads to impulsive transactions driven by promotions and peer influence. Additionally, the more money stored in e-money, the more frequently adolescents spend without financial consideration.

Abstract

Digital technology has transformed tourism promotion, especially through digital marketing and storytelling. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the use of social media and e-commerce, with storytelling helping build emotional connections and improve destination images. In Indonesia, the Ministry of Tourism uses platforms like TikTok and Instagram for this purpose. Research in West Papua Barat Daya shows that short videos, photos, and blogs effectively raise awareness and attract tourists. Despite challenges like limited infrastructure and skills, digital storytelling remains a powerful and sustainable tool for tourism promotion.

Abstract

This study examines how narcisim influences job performance through creativity as a mediator. A survey of 96 lecturers in Indonesian universities used established measures for narcisim, creativity, and job performance. Statistical analyses assessed validity, reliability, and a mediation model to understand the impact of narcisim on performance through creativity. Findings: Narcissistic traits lowered creativity, which reduced job performance. However, fostering creativity can mitigate some of these negative effects, highlighting its importance for improving lecturer performance. Practical Implications: To manage the impact of narcissism on lecturer performance, organizations should focus on fostering creativity through training programs, innovation-supportive policies, and selection and evaluation processes that emphasize creativity. Additionally, psychological support for lecturers with high levels of narcissism can help mitigate negative effects and enhance overall performance. Originality: The study provides new insights for developing strategies that can enhance lecturer performance through the management of narcissistic traits and the promotion of creativity.

Abstract

The persistent rise in staple food prices presents a strategic challenge that affects community welfare, particularly in East Java as a central hub of national food distribution. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using secondary data from SISKAPERBAPO (2023–2025) to analyze the government's role in food price stabilization through allocation, distribution, and stabilization functions. The findings reveal that climatic conditions, seasonal demand, and uneven distribution contribute significantly to price fluctuations. In response, government interventions such as market operations, subsidies, and policies promoting sustainable production and equitable distribution are essential in maintaining food price stability, enhancing food security, and managing regional inflation. Thus, effective and continuous policy coordination is necessary to ensure stable access to affordable staple foods.

Abstract

This study assesses the quality of public services at the Benteng Village Office in Nusaniwe District, Ambon City, utilizing the SERVQUAL model across five dimensions: Tangibles, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Empathy. While most indicators for Tangibles, Reliability, and Assurance are being met, there are notable gaps in the comfort of physical facilities and the technological proficiency of staff. The Responsiveness dimension aligns with community expectations; however, there are concerns regarding staff friendliness in the Empathy dimension. Key factors affecting service quality include the professionalism of human resources, IT infrastructure, and community oversight. The study recommends enhancing staff skills, upgrading facilities, and promoting a positive service culture to elevate service quality in Benteng Village.

Abstract

This study examines community participation in village development planning in Nusa Maju Village, Belitang III District, South Sumatra. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the research explores the extent of participation across four stages: planning, implementation, evaluation, and utilization. It also identifies key factors influencing engagement, such as socio-economic conditions, government policies, and cultural norms. The findings reveal high levels of participation during the planning and implementation stages, but limited involvement in evaluation and monitoring. The study emphasizes the importance of government transparency, inclusive decision- making, and community empowerment in fostering greater participation. It contributes to the broader understanding of participatory development and offers recommendations for enhancing community engagement in future village development initiatives.

Abstract

Forecasting is a method used to predict future values based on historical data. This study aims to analyze and apply the Single Exponential Smoothing (SES) method to forecast the sales volume at Cafe Sibu-Sibu 01 for the upcoming period. The data used in this research consist of monthly sales records from January 2022 to December 2023. The forecasting results are then evaluated for accuracy using Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD), Mean Squared Error (MSE), and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). The findings indicate that the sales volume for January 2024 is projected to increase to approximately IDR 68,882,000. With a smoothing constant of 0.1, the obtained values are MAD = 8,210.9, MSE = 114,138,110, and MAPE = 11.4%. Based on these results, it is concluded that the Single Exponential Smoothing method can be effectively used to forecast sales volume at Cafe Sibu-Sibu 01.

Abstract

This study aims to empirically test the influence of career development on employee performance with self-efficacy as a mediating variable at the Regional Tax and Retribution Management Agency (BPPRD) of Ambon City. The research used a quantitative method with 38 civil servants as the sample, selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using Smart PLS 3. The results show that career development has a significant and positive effect on employee performance. Additionally, self-efficacy significantly mediates the relationship between career development and employee performance. These findings suggest that employee development programs should focus not only on technical skills but also on building self- confidence to enhance performance outcomes.

Abstract

This study investigates bureaucratic issues within poverty alleviation programs in Batumerah Village, Ambon City, using a qualitative phenomenological approach. The findings reveal that corruption, nepotism, and ineffective policy implementation severely undermine the success of these programs. Additionally, limited awareness and poor governance further exacerbate these problems. To address these challenges, comprehensive bureaucratic reform is essential, emphasizing transparency, accountability, public participation, and improved data management. Developing evidence-based policies and promoting long- term economic empowerment, including job training and financial support, are crucial for enhancing community well-being and ensuring the sustainability of poverty alleviation efforts.
