Abstract

A rattan furniture manufacturing and exporting company faces challenges in its supply chain, especially related to the scarcity of raw materials that hampers the production process. This study aims to identify risks that affect the supply chain of rattan products and exports using indicators from the SCOR model. In addition, this study also aims to design and determine the priority of supply chain risk mitigation strategies, by integrating the House of Risk (HOR) and Analytic Network Process (ANP) methods. The SCOR model is used to identify risks by grouping activities based on five main supply chain processes: plan, source, make, deliver, and return. After that, an assessment is carried out on each risk event, risk cause, and priority risk that has a major impact on the supply chain, using the HOR Phase 1 method. Furthermore, risk mitigation actions are designed using the HOR Phase 2 method, and priority risk mitigation actions are determined based on company criteria, using the ANP method. The results of risk identification show 29 risk events and 30 risk causes. As a solution, 6 risk mitigation actions are designed to overcome these supply chain problems. From the research results, the priority risk mitigation actions recommended to be implemented first by the company are to carry out planning and control of raw material availability.

Abstract

Design of reinforced concrete columns in certain conditions requires a hollow cross-section for plumbing lines and cable lines. This hollow cross-section requires more careful analysis calculations. Because construction planning practices are more complicated if always calculated manually. So this study aims to develop a universal analysis calculation method regarding the interaction diagram of hollow columns using a computer program. Column strength analysis uses the strain compatibility method. Analysis of cross-section properties uses the closed polygon geometry method. Where the vertex points of the cross-section polygon are labeled numerically. The numbering of the exterior boundary vertex points is arranged in the order following the counterclockwise direction, while the internal boundary is arranged in the order of the clockwise direction. The calculation results of this method are compared with the calculation results of the PCA-COL program in the case of the same column. The results of the NMSE performance index test for 3 models are distinguished by 3 different cross-section rotation angles, each 00, 300, and 450. For the axial force capacity of the 3 models, the respective NMSE performance indexes are obtained; 0.0000212066, 0.0000244858, 0.0000300786. While the NMSE performance index test for the bending moment capacity of the 3 models was obtained; 0.045109796, 0.048488446, 0.04994925. All the results are close to zero, so the calculation method has high accuracy.

Abstract

The health industry is currently developing rapidly. One of the products that is currently developing is Platelet Lysate. Platelet Lysate is an alternative medium for cell growth. In industry, the makers of Platelet Lysate produce quite a lot of waste. Therefore, the waste is reprocessed into a new product called Platelet Lysate Nusantara (PL-Nusa) to reduce waste. Because PL-Nusa is reprocessed waste, something is needed to increase the value of the product. One way is to make packaging. Packaging is not only to increase the value of the product but also as a protective tool so that the product is protected from infection. To make packaging, packaging design needs to be carried out to suit the desires and needs of consumers. In the PL-Nusa product, the design was carried out using the Nigel Cross approach. The results obtained are that the packaging used for PL-Nusa is 100ml with a circular, serrated, and rotated lid. While the packaging shape is in the form of a tube with the same size from top to bottom. And the material used for packaging uses PP (Polypropylene).

Abstract

The Kabanaran area and its surroundings, Mandiraja District, Banjarnegara Regency, Central Java is an area located on the banks of the Serayu River and borders the southern mountain range. The research area is also an area that allows landslides to occur, this is due to several natural factors and human activity factors that cause landslides. This research was conducted to explain the relationship between geological conditions and landslide vulnerability factors in the research area. The method used is the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. This method matches several parameters that are considered as factors in the occurrence of landslides and is given a value based on the weighting criteria. Based on the results of the study, there are several parameters, such as natural factors, geology, and other activities that affect landslides in the research area, including rainfall intensity, lithology, assessment frequency and weighting as to obtain the final value in determining the landslide vulnerability zone. The results of these calculations produce 4 levels of landslides, namely low landslide vulnerability zones, moderate landslide vulnerability zones, high landslide vulnerability zones, and very high landslide vulnerability zones.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the eight largest plastic waste-producing countries, generating 3.4 million tons annually. Most of this waste remains underutilized and ends up in landfills. A potential solution is incorporating plastic waste into asphalt mixtures to enhance road performance. This method not only reduces plastic waste accumulation but also improves road durability and crack resistance. This study examines the effects of different LDPE plastic forms pellets, shredded, and powder on asphalt performance under optimal plastic content. The dry mixing method was chosen for its ease of field application, where plastic is added to hot aggregates before mixing with hot asphalt. Asphalt with 5% binder was modified using LDPE pellets at 3%, 5%, 7%, and 9%. After determining the optimal plastic content at 9%, further modifications were conducted using shredded and powdered LDPE. Marshall test results showed no significant stability differences among the plastic forms, but LDPE pellets achieved the highest stability, increasing conventional asphalt stability by up to 20% at 5% binder content. The highest flow was also observed in the LDPE pellet mixture, increasing by 0.18 mm. These findings suggest that using LDPE pellets enhances asphalt crack resistance.

Abstract

Jacking box tunnel is a tunnel construction method which can be a solution when there are other buildings adjacent to the tunnel construction area. Jacking box tunnel is also a solution when the use of open excavation methods is not possible. The use of Culvert Box Segments inserted into the ground can minimize the impact on surrounding buildings so that soil stability can be maintained. PT Jaya Real Property provides pedestrian tunnel access to connect Jurang Mangu Station with BXC Mall. This tunnel has a total planned length of 161.4 meters, consisting of a total of 4 Culvert Box Segments. In the Culvert Box Segment 3 area, it intersects with the existing Jakarta-Serpong toll road abutment, therefore in order not to interfere with the existing abutment, the Jacking Box Tunnel construction method is used. In this study, a design analysis was carried out on a tunnel using this construction method. The results show that with the planning of Culvert Box Segment 3 along 41.7 meters, the implementation of the Jacking Box Tunnel requires a work area as deep as 7.6 m from the original ground surface. In this study, there are 3 groups of bored piles used to hold the soil for working area and supporting the implementation of the jacking process based on the existing load conditions. Bored pile 1 and Bored pile 3 are planned to use a diameter of 600 mm with 18 - D25 reinforcement, while Bored pile 2 uses a diameter of 800 mm and 18 - D25 reinforcement. Furthermore, the structure of the Culvert Box Segment is made of reinforced concrete with a reinforcement diameter of 22 mm and a jacking load requirement of 4901.9512 kN to push the Culvert Box Segment. One Culvert Box Segment requires 2 hydraulic jacks with a maximum capacity of one hydraulic jack of 400 tons.

Abstract

Cutting metal materials using Laser Cutting can determine the quality of the cutting material. This is because laser cutting uses high speed, so it can improve the quality of the cut material. SS316 L metal is a metal used in the manufacturing industry. The choice of SS 316 L metal aims to prevent corrosion, have high strength and be easy to maintain. The aim of this research is to determine the cutting speed parameters in laser cutting using SS 316 L material. The method used is by varying the cutting speed of the laser machine with speeds of 60 mm/minute, 70 mm/minute, 80 mm/minute, 90 mm/minute, 100 mm/min. Observation of surface roughness tests with two variations vertically and horizontally. Test samples three times for each test object. The results of this research were that the lowest (smooth) surface roughness was obtained with a cutting speed variation of 100 mm/minute and the highest (coarse) at a cutting speed of 60 mm/minute for both vertical and horizontal sampling variations. So, the faster the cutting speed of the laser machine can reduce the roughness of the SS 316 L metal surface.

Abstract

This study evaluates slope stability in Pit X, located in the open-pit mining area of PT Bukit Asam, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra. The site was previously used as a disposal area for overburden material, resulting in heterogeneous geotechnical characteristics and a higher potential for slope instability. The approaches applied in this study include the limit equilibrium method to calculate the factor of safety (FoS) and the Dump Slope Rating (DSR) method to assess the risk level of the slope empirically. The data were obtained from field observations and laboratory testing of shear strength parameters. The results show that section B–B’ had the lowest FoS of 1.61 and a DSR score of 63, classified as poorly stable, while section D–D’ had a FoS of 3.36 and a DSR score of 93, indicating very stable conditions. The consistency between both methods confirms that the integrated approach is practical in evaluating slope conditions and providing technical recommendations under complex geotechnical settings.

Abstract

In the digital era, the number of internet users continues to grow, with internet penetration in Indonesia reaching 79.5% in 2024. Along with this growth, website performance becomes a crucial factor in providing an optimal user experience. Slow response times and high server loads can lead to decreased user satisfaction. One solution to improve web application performance is the implementation of caching systems, which temporarily store data to speed up access and reduce server load. Relational databases (RDBMS) are still commonly used, but they have limitations in access speed due to hard disk-based storage. As an alternative, In-Memory Databases (IMDB) such as Redis offer higher access speeds by storing data directly in RAM. Effective cache management requires the right strategy to determine which data should be retained or removed when memory is full. Several popular cache replacement algorithms include Least Recently Used (LRU), Least Frequently Used (LFU), Random Replacement, and First In First Out (FIFO), each with its own advantages. This research aims to analyze the impact of IMDB-based caching systems on improving data access performance in web applications and to provide insights for developers in selecting the optimal caching technology and strategy.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a manufacturing company that produces soy sauce, chili sauce, tomato sauce, vinegar and syrup which also acts as a distributor of its products.. Product distribution is carried out through traditional channels by salesmen. However, the determination of salesman visit routes is still based on experience so that it is not optimal in terms of distance, time, and cost. This study aims to develop an algorithm to produce a more efficient salesman visit route at PT XYZ. Data were collected through interviews with the owner and salesmen, then analyzed using tabu search and genetic algorithms with MATLAB software. The results show that both algorithms are able to produce a more optimal route than the existing route. The initial route has a distance of 63.74 km, a travel time of 177 minutes, and a cost of Rp 54,181. The tabu search and genetic algorithms produce a route with a distance of 62.68 km, a travel time of 174 minutes, and a cost of Rp 53,278. Both algorithms provide savings of around 2% compared to the initial route. The superiority of the tabu search algorithm can be seen from the much faster computing time (0.005381 seconds) compared to the genetic algorithm (113.02 seconds), while still finding the optimal solution. This study recommends the use of the tabu search algorithm to optimize salesman visit routes for distribution efficiency at PT XYZ.
