Abstract

Global warming often causes the weather to become more unpredictable. Especially in Indonesia, currently the dry and rainy seasons often come unexpectedly. Unpredictable weather can also interfere with household chores, for example, drying clothes. An automatic clothesline control system is proposed as a solution to this problem. This research aims to build a prototype of a smart clothesline based on ESP8266 using the prototyping system development method and analyze its quality using the product testing method with product quality dimension attributes. The hardware used in the development includes Arduino Uno, NodeMCU ESP8266, rain sensor, infrared sensor, LDR sensor, and servo motor. Meanwhile, the software used is Blynk. The attributes assessed in the test include performance, durability, conformance to specifications, features, reliability, aesthetics, perceived quality, and serviceability. In other similar studies, the use of such product testing has never been done. The results of the study show that the smart clothesline prototype that was built has passed the product test with a product test value of 90.10.

Abstract

Reinforced concrete is a composite structure combining concrete as the primary compressive element and steel reinforcement to resist tensile forces. In reinforced concrete beam systems, optimizing the use of reinforcement is crucial for structural efficiency. This study aims to analyze the effect of reinforcement configuration on the flexural capacity of concrete beams by comparing single and double compression reinforcement systems. An experimental method was employed using four beam specimens measuring 124 cm × 15 cm × 20 cm, designed with concrete mix proportions following SNI 03-2834-2000 standards. The variations included STR T25, STR T50, STR G25, and STR G50, categorized by the type of compression reinforcement and spacing. Test results revealed that the highest flexural strength was achieved by STR G25 (838,474.985 kg/m³), followed by STR T50, STR G50, and STR T25. Beams with double compression reinforcement and closer spacing demonstrated superior performance in resisting bending forces. This research confirms that appropriate reinforcement configurations significantly enhance the flexural capacity of reinforced concrete beams while promoting material efficiency.

Abstract

Thermal comfort is where someone feels comfortable in hot weather and correlates with factors of air temperature, wind speed, humidity, user activity and user clothing. The purpose of this study is to analyze the thermal comfort conditions in the classroom of the architecture study program at the University of Bengkulu by utilizing the CBE Thermal Comfort Tool software. The research method applied is quantitative. This study has several stages starting from collecting primary and secondary data. Furthermore, analyzing the data that has been obtained by comparing it with the thermal comfort standards according to ASHRAE-55. The simulation results show that the comfort conditions in the classroom are not in accordance with the thermal comfort standards according to ASHRAE-55 with the highest PMV and PPD values in classroom B with PMV values for female and male users of 1.59 and 1.57 and PPD values of 56% and 54% with temperature and humidity factors with an average value of 29.5 ℃ and 70.6 for that it is necessary to add the magnitude of the wind speed. In adding the magnitude of the wind speed to this classroom, it is necessary to set several strategies that include building orientation, opening position, and opening dimensions. By implementing this, the simulation of increasing wind speed shows that the classroom has met the thermal comfort standards according to ASHRAE-55.

Abstract

Purwokerto Station is a major transportation hub in Banyumas Regency with significant potential to bed developed into a Transit Oriented Development (TOD) area. This study aims to evaluate the sustainability of the area within an 800-meter radius from the station based on six core TOD principles : walkability, mixed-use, connectivity, density, transit service, and public space. The method used is a descriptive approach based on literature review, planning documents, as well as spatial and visual data. The assessment was conducted using a scoring system with technical indicators for each aspect on a scale of 0 to 5. The evaluation results show that area only score 14 out of 30 (46,67%), indicating a low level of TOD compliance. While connectivity and transit service performed moderatly, aspects such as walkability, mixed-use, and public space remain far from the ideal standard. These findings highlight the need for re-planning strategies and RDTR policy revisions to support TOD principles, including improving pedestrian infrastructure, integrating transport modes, and providing public spaces. This research serves as an important foundation for the sustainable development of TOD-based areas in Purwokerto.

Abstract

The growing demand for adequate housing in Indonesia, fueled by rapid population growth, continues to pose a substantial challenge, particularly due to inefficiencies in conventional construction methods. Prefabricated housing offers a compelling alternative, with advantages in quality, cost effectiveness, time efficiency, and waste reduction. However, limited early stage integration often leads to poorly defined designs, hindering its broader adoption. This study aims to develop a prefabricated house prototype by integrating DFMA with BIM. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, utilizing secondary data derived from literature. The process began with modeling a conventional house as a baseline, which was then restructured into a prefabricated system through DFMA principles, BIM modeling using Autodesk Revit, and a systematic evaluation using DFMA assessment tools covering manufacturing, transportation, and assembly aspects. The study resulted in two prototype models based on a modular panel system. A 30% reduction in component count was achieved in transitioning from the conventional model, while a 7.45% reduction in panels was observed between the two prefabricated models. The integration of DFMA and BIM significantly improves design efficiency, ensures better structural organization, and enhances readiness for implementation presenting a viable strategy to support housing provision efforts.

Abstract

The Cibenda area, located in Ciemas District, Sukabumi Regency, is part of the Ciletuh Geopark, which has important geological diversity that requires detailed study. This study aims to determine the petrographic characteristics of the main rock units and to compile an interpretation of geological evolution based on microscopic data. The method used is thin section analysis of rock samples taken from the field and observed using a polarizing microscope. There are three main rock units studied, namely the Sandstone Unit, the Breccia Unit, and the Andesite Unit. The analysis results show that the sandstone unit consists of fine- to medium-grained rocks dominated by rock fragments and feldspar, the breccia unit is composed of polymictic components in the form of crystal tuff and sandstone in a sandstone matrix, while the andesite unit shows a porphyritic texture with plagioclase and pyroxene phenocrysts. The results of this study indicate that the depositional process and magmatic intrusion occurred gradually, forming a geological sequence that reflects the evolution from a marine environment to tectonic and magmatic activity in the Cibenda area.

Abstract

The Tambulun Prospect, Sulit Air, Solok Regency, West Sumatra, is one of the locations indicating the presence of a copper (Cu) skarn mineralization system. This study aims to identify the mineral paragenesis in the skarn system through petrographic and ore microscopic analysis. The skarn formation process is caused by the intrusion of Sulit Air granodiorite that penetrates the Tuhur Formation limestone, resulting in alteration zones in the form of exoskarn (garnet–pyroxene, garnet–pyroxene–wollastonite, pyroxene–quartz ± epidote ± chlorite) and endoskarn (pyroxene–k-feldspar–chlorite–epidote) alteration. Skarn formation is divided into four main stages, namely: (1) isochemical metamorphism, (2) prograde stage with the formation of high-temperature calc-silicate minerals, (3) retrograde stage with the emergence of lower-temperature minerals such as epidote and calcite, and (4) supergene stage. The dominant copper mineralization is chalcopyrite, bornite, covellite, and chalcocite. In the prograde phase, chalcopyrite fills fractures along with quartz veins in the garnet–pyroxene zone. The retrograde phase is characterized by the presence of bornite and chalcocite along with calcite and epidote veins that intersect the garnet–pyroxene–wollastonite alteration zone. The supergene phase shows secondary mineralization such as covellite, hematite, malachite, azurite, and chrysocola that fill fractures and pores in the rock. Understanding mineral paragenesis can explain the hydrothermal evolution of skarn systems and provide information for exploration efforts for economic metal deposits in the surrounding area.

Abstract

The northern region of East Java is known as Indonesia's largest oil and gas producer. The southern region also exhibits several potential petroleum system manifestations, such as shale outcrops that extract biogenic hydrocarbons in Dongko District, Trenggalek Regency. Identification of palynofacies/palynomacerals can be determined based on the kerogen composition of sedimentary rocks. This is crucial for more detailed exploration of hydrocarbon potential. The kerogen composition of samples K4 and K5 was analyzed from surface outcrop profiles. Previous research indicates that samples K4 and K5 are Middle Miocene in age and were deposited in a mangrove environment. Palynofacies identification from kerogen analysis indicates that sample K4 was deposited in an environment farther from the source of organic material, or in a mangrove environment in the lower deltaic plain, characterized by fine-to-very-fine carbonate sandstone. Conversely, sample K5 was deposited in an environment closer to the source of organic material, or in a mangrove environment in the upper deltaic plain, characterized by black shale with launau-clay lithology. Samples K4 and K5 have the same organic material composition, namely inertinite, vitrinite, and exinite, although the material sizes are different.

Abstract

This research focuses on the design and production of eco-friendly products using Polylactic Acid (PLA) material for the mini 4WD kit components, utilizing the Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) approach. The objective is to reduce plastic waste in toys by replacing conventional plastic materials with biodegradable PLA. The research evaluates the potential of PLA in manufacturing, addressing consumer requirements for speed, durability, and aesthetics. The study highlights how DFMA optimization leads to efficient processes while maintaining the eco-friendly benefits of PLA material. Using additive manufacturing technique by 3D Printer for making 4WD mini kit component we got material filament PLA consumption is 11.81 m and 37.21 g. Time for production running is 8,89 hour for all part and prodcution cost is IDR 159,302. For the future market awarness and consumer purchase interest is to implement a branding strategy that highlights the product’s environmentally friendly attributes. Businesses may create environmentally friendly products that satisfy customer wants while reducing their environmental effect by substituting biodegradable materials like PLA for conventional plastics and streamlining the production process with DFMA. Future studies will keep improving these procedures and investigating novel materials that have even more advantages for sustainability.

Abstract

GoFood is one of the key features in the Gojek application, focusing on online food ordering and delivery, and has become a top choice among Indonesians. Alongside technological developments and rising customer expectations, measuring satisfaction and identifying service improvement priorities have become essential. This study aims to assess customer satisfaction with GoFood services in Makassar using the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), as well as to determine the order of service improvement priorities using the Potential Gain in Customer Value (PGCV) method. Data were collected from 214 GoFood users in Makassar through a questionnaire. The results show a CSI score of 75.975%, which falls into the “satisfied” category. However, the IPA and PGCV analyses indicate that several attributes still require improvement, such as accountability for damaged packaging (X17), product conformity (X9), application issues (X16), and system smoothness (X4). Although customers are generally satisfied, the findings suggest there is still potential to enhance service quality to reach the “very satisfied” level. These results are expected to serve as input for GoFood and its merchants to improve service quality continuously.
