Abstract

Not infrequently counselor faced with complicated problems and traumatic outstanding experienced by the client. According to Figley and Stamm (in Stamm, 1999), a trauma counselor can come to experience some of the symptoms are similar to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), which is owned by their clients. Figley (in Richardson, 2001) defines this situation with Secondary Traumatic Stress (hereinafter referred to as STS), which is something that occurs naturally, is a behavioral and emotional consequences as a result of knowledge about a traumatic event experienced by a significant other. The term 'secondary' refers to the fact that the trauma experienced by others, but then experienced by the participating parties observe, giving aid, or listen to the story (Sidabutar, 2003). This is the "price" of giving attention, care, and help individuals who experience trauma. Counselors need to be aware of this condition. Discussion professional is one important activity that needs to be done.

Abstract

Empathy and the ability to see things from the client’s perspective is also important, as is the counsellor’s ability to demonstrate an investment of their time and full attention. The purpose of this study is 1) to know the level of empathy of students Guidance and Counseling Program University of Kanjuruhan Malang; 2) To describe the difference of empathy level of students based on force and gender. The subjects of this study are students Guidance and Counseling Program University of Kanjuruhan Malang class of 2013, 2014 and 2015. The research instrument used is empathy scale which is then processed by using descriptive statistic, Test-t and Anova. The result of this research is 57,5% of students are at high empathy level, 35,7% student are in moderate empathy level, and 6,8% student student is a low; 2) There is no significant difference of empathy level of students based on force 2) There is a significant difference of empathy level based on gender.

Abstract

Self-efficacy is a strong factor in determining a person to act, think and react when faced with situations that are not fun. Students with high self-efficacy tend to have persistent effort, diligent, tenacious and persevering. This research use descriptive- quantitative methodology to indentify level of self efficacy of counseling students specifically will be identified by gender, and ethnicity. This research will identify self efficacy based on differences of gender, and ethnicity.  This research use random and purposive random sampling of 45 counseling students from University. These studies identify of self efficacy 31, 1% in low, 66, 7% medium and 2,2 in high condition. Further, there is no significant difference in the level of self efficacy based on gender, and the ethnicity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh adanya kenyataan di lapangan pembelajaran di kelas II Sekolah Dasar (SD) belum menggunakan pendekatan realistik. Berdasarkan pengamatan peneliti di SD Negeri 22 Lubuk Alung Kabupaten Padang Pariaman bahwa guru  kelas II SD mengajarkan matematika masih dengan cara tradisional dengan arti kata belum mengaitkan pembelajaran dengan kehidupan nyata siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan dan mendapatkan informasi tentang pembelajaran operasi hitung campuran dengan pendekatan realistik. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif yang terdiri dari dua siklus meliputi empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Data penelitian ini berupa informasi tentang proses dan data hasil tindakan yang diperoleh dari hasil pengamatan, hasil wawancara, dan tes. Subjek peneliti adalah guru, peneliti (praktisi) dan siswa kelas II yang berjumlah 25 orang. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan model analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif.  Hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan menggunakan pendekatan matematika realistik pada siklus I dan II mengalami peningkatan di mana nilai rata-rata pada siklus I diperoleh rata-rata 77,2 dan pada siklus II rata-rata 88,2. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan pendekatan matematika realistik dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas II.

Abstract

This research is intends develop integrated thematic learning materials by using discovery learning (DL) model in the 5th grade of elementary school. It categorize this research into research and development study. The model includes four phases, defining, designing, developing, and disseminating phases. However, it did not include the disseminating phases. The subjects of the research were 5th grade students. The results of the research show that the validity score of the learning materials developed is 3,36. Questionnaire and interviews with the teachers and the students reveal that the materials developed are practical. The score given by the teachers is 96, 43%, and by the students is 84, 5%. Based on the results, we conclude it that the integrated thematic learning materials developed by using (DL) model are valid and practical to be use in the learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi penggunaan model pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi. Model pembelajaran yang digunakan lebih banyak mengaktifkan guru daripada siswa. Hal ini terlihat dari kegiatan pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan, dimana guru lebih banyak berceramah dan bertanyajawab dengan siswa. Sehingga hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas VI rendah.  Rumusan permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model Cooperative Learning Tipe Numbered  Head Together (NHT) untuk dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam bidang studi Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial Kelas (IPS) kelas VI di SDN 08 Nan Sabaris? Hasil analisis data diperoleh keberhasilan aktivitas  belajar pada siklus I meningkat dan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I rata-rata mencapai  68,20%, dan pada siklus II; sebesar 84,15 %. Jadi menunjukkan ada peningkatan pembelajaran siswa dari siklus I sampai siklus II. Dengan menggunakan model Cooperative Learning Tipe Numbered  Head Together (NHT) dapat meningkatkan pemahaman materi membandingkan kenampakan alam dan keadaan sosial negara-negara tetangga. Kerja sama siswa dalam menyelesaikan tugas secara berkelompok juga meningkat, terbukti semakin aktifnya siswa belajar dan bertanyajawab memecahkan masalah dalam kelompok dan kemampuan mengerjakan tugas kelompok semakin cepat dan sempurna.

Abstract

The low prosocial behavior of students can inhibit the developmental tasks of adolescent such as the inability of appreciating others and getting others’ respect. Group guidance can be used to improve students’ prosocial behavior. The aim of this study was to reveal the effectiveness of group guidance service with modeling techniques in improving students’ prosocial behavior. This quasi-experimental research with pretest and posttest control group design aims to find out whether group guidance services with modeling techniques can improve students' prosocial behavior or not. Two groups were selected by using purposive sampling. They were selected from Sekolah Menengah Pertama Islam Terpadu (SMPIT) Rabbi Radhiyya Curup Tengah and Madrasah Tsanawiyah Pesantren Muhammadiyah Curup Timur. Each group consisted of 10 students. There were five meetings of group guidance service for each experimental and control group. The data of prosocial behavior were collected by using pretest and posttest, then they were analyzed by using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov Two Sample with SPSS version 16.00. The findings of this study were: (1) there was a significant difference between students’ pretest and posttest of prosocial behavior in the experimental group, (2) there was a significant difference between students’ pretest and posttest of prosocial behavior in the control group, (3) there was a significant difference between posttests of students’ prosocial behavior in the experimental and the control group. Based on those findings, it is concluded that the students’ prosocial behavior can be improved through group guidance with modeling techniques. Therefore, it is suggested for counseling teachers to do group guidance by using modeling techniques, especially in enhancing prosocial behavior and other social behaviors.

Abstract

Abuse of drugs, psychotropic substances, illegal drugs and other addictive substances (drugs) among teenagers especially students to be a problem from time to time keeps going on and it seems difficult to be finalized. So also in Indonesia drug abuse prevention efforts at the level of the student and the student assessment has been a great school for education practitioners and also involving relevant agencies such as BNN, BKKBN, the health department and the police. On the other hand, the number of victims of drug abuse among adolescents from year-to-year increase. spiritual intelligence (SQ) is low is one of the students to be drug users. Various approaches, models and techniques of counseling has been developed and implemented in schools in order to develop students' potential. Counseling logo is one of the counseling intervention model that was first introduced by Viktor Frankl who seek to build the spiritual dimension of human besides raceway and psychological dimensions, and assume that the meaning of life and a desire for meaningful is the primary motivation of men to achieve meaningful livelihoods (the meaningful life) is wanted. This research aimed to develop the logo counseling to improving the lives meaning drug abuse prevention and to know the effectiveness of that model. This research uses  research and development approach or R&D with seven essential steps, namely (1) research and information collecting, (2) planning, (3) developing preliminary from of product, (4) preliminary field testing and product revision, (5) main field test and product revision, (6) operational field test and product revision, and (7) dissemination implementation and institutionalization. The population of this research includes practitioners or school counselors, experts and both state, Junior High School, Senior High Scholl and vocational students in Bali Province. The results of research on the effect of counseling logo on the trend of drug abuse in students in Singaraja shows that students who attend counseling logo managed to increase the meaning of life and reduces the tendency of involvement in drug abuse.

Abstract

The track record of the development of science will be easily traced by the scientific community through various forms of scientific information. Social workers have thousands and even millions of aspects and scope of scholarship that can be used as materials to develop science. As a professional, social workers including counselors, psychologists and other professions are urgently needed to develop their insights and knowledge about human and territorial behavior that can be addressed through counseling services. Various things will certainly be realized by the research or research and publish through scientific articles. However, in reality, BK / Konselor teachers have not been too concerned and develop the ability and competence in the field of scientific articles. Various cases and services that should be used as material for scientific and professional discussions are not published in the form of scientific articles so that in general the parameters of the development of BK services in schools can not be known with certainty. These conditions require BK teachers to be able to have competence and skills in writing scientific articles and using digital citation program / software.

Abstract

Results of preliminary observations at several elementary schools shows that there are some constraints faced by teachers in the learning process. One problem is difficult to cultivate an understanding of the concept of identifying objects are known and their usefulness to students through observation. The purpose of this action research are (1) to determine that the method of smart games and cooperative learning make a match can improve the understanding of the concept of identifying objects are known and their use through observation, (2) to improve the students' tasks in groups in understand the concept of identifying objects are known and their use through observation. Data obtained through tests and usage observation guide, the data is processed by a percentage. Results of the analysis of the data obtained in the first cycle of learning success; 64.00%, and the second cycle; amounting to 83.50%. So the smart methods of cooperative learning the game and make a match indicates no increase student learning from the first cycle to the second cycle. Thus the smart methods of cooperative learning the game and make a match can improve the understanding of the concept of identifying objects are known and their use through observation of students. The cooperation of students in completing the task in groups also increased, proved more active play looking for a partner in the group and the ability to group tasks more quickly and perfectly.
