Abstract

The purpose of this study was to measure the effect of phubbing behavior on student academic procrastination. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of correlation research. The instrument used was a 'Generic Scale of Phubbing' developed by Chotpitayasunondh & Douglas, while the academic procrastination scale adopted the scale developed by Hariati. Research subjects were 278 students taken by probability sampling by determining the number of samples using the Isaac and Michael tables. Research analysis using simple regression analysis. The results showed that the behavior of 'phubbing' had a significant effect on academic procrastination. The results of this study contribute to education that phubbing behavior in addition to reducing the quality of relationship satisfaction and personal well-being can also make a habit of academic procrastination, which is will adversely affect students.Keywords: phubbing, academic procrastination, student

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to look at the description of academic procrastination of FKIP students at Universitas Riau. Academic procrastination is the behavior of delaying or avoiding starting to do academic work by stalling, causing discomfort. Data collection in this study was carried out using quantitative techniques through the Academic Procrastination Scale-Short Form. The results showed that students' academic procrastination was in the medium category. Even though they are in the medium category, institutions, lecturers, and students need to be more vigilant in avoiding academic procrastination behavior and avoiding the adverse effects of such behavior.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of solution-focused group counseling to improve students planned happenstance skills. The experimental research method way repeated measures with pretest design and multiple posttest design, involving 5 students as participants which from 24 upperclassman of the guidance and counseling FKIP ULM which have low planned happenstance skills. The result of the research by using one-way ANOVA for repeated measures test showed that solution-focused group counseling was effective in improving the planned happenstance skills (F (2,8) = 325,895; p<0,001).

Abstract

Abstract: Prosocial behavior is any action taken or planned to help others, regardless of the helper's motives. Prosocial behavior is positive behavior that benefits or makes other people's physical or psychological conditions better, which is carried out on a voluntary basis without expecting rewards. This study aims to determine the development of prosocial behavior in adolescents in Indonesia, to determine the factors that influence adolescent prosocial behavior, forms of prosocial behavior, and efforts to increase prosocial behavior in adolescents. This research is a literature study research. The instrument used in this research is a combination of national and international journals. Data analysis in this study used qualitative. The results showed that among teenagers this prosocial behavior was quite developed because of the efforts made by family, teachers, and peers. This prosocial behavior has been improved in schools where teachers have used services and guidelines in improving this prosocial behavior. Which is in the process of increasing peer group is also one of the factors that influence the development of prosocial behavior in adolescents.Key Words: Literature study, Prosocial behavior

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to develop an educational module to overcome academic procrastination behavior in junior high school students. The research method used is research development (Research and Development) concerning the flow of R&D level 1 steps. The instrument used is a validation questionnaire which is validated by 5 material experts, three BK lecturers, and two BK teachers. The assessment module is reviewed from the physical or appearance aspect, the preliminary aspect, the content aspect, the summary aspect, the task/evaluation/assessment aspect, and the utilization aspect. The results of the study indicate that the development of an educational module has been implemented to overcome the behavior of academic procrastination in Junior High School students through 5 stages, namely through: potentials and problems; Collection of data or information; Product design; Design validation; Proven design. Of the five stages, an educational module has been produced to overcome academic procrastination behavior in junior high school students in terms of the physical aspect or appearance can be categorized as feasible, the preliminary aspect can be categorized as feasible, the content aspect can be categorized as feasible, the summary aspect can be categorized as feasible, the task/evaluation/assessment aspect can be categorized as feasible and the utilization aspect can be categorized as feasible. The best advice that can be given in this study is, for BK teachers it is expected before using this module to do an information service about the procrastination module. In hopes of detracting procrastination behavior on junior high school students. While the suggestion for the following researchers is to perform an effective test of this module to reduce academic procrastination in junior high school students (SMP).Key Words: education module, R&D, academic procrastination

Abstract

This study aims to determine the procedure for developing the self-study technique module and the effectiveness of the self-instruction technique module in applying the Waja Sampai Kaputing (wasaka) values. Wasaka means it is a well-known motto from the province of South Kalimantan, which means that endeavor until the end. This type of research is research and development with the ADDIE model, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection techniques in the form of observation and questionnaires. The module was tested on 21 students. Data analysis used paired sample T-test. The result of this research is the creation of a self-instruction technique module. It has a significant effect on the application of wasaka values to FKIP Universitas Lambung Mangkurat students with indicators of hard work, toughness, responsibility, and independence, so that the self-instruction technique module is effective in applying the values of Waja Sampai Kaputing (wasaka) on students.

Abstract

The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic does not only affect physical health aspects but also hurts mental health. One of them is self-confidence, which is found in students of class VIII at SMPN 25 Banjarmasin as many as 30, 92% of the 152 students identified as experiencing a crisis of self-confidence. The method used is collaborative-consultative, involving guidance and counseling teachers at SMP Negeri 25 Banjarmasin. The service subjects were 5 students of class VIII SMP Negeri 25 Banjarmasin. The activity is carried out in four stages of the meeting, namely the stage of explaining the concept and planning of coping strategies, the stage of formulating behavioral activities that must be stopped/controlled, the stage of implementing the formulation of the planned behavior activities. The results obtained were that coping strategies were very successful in helping to overcome the crisis of self-confidence during the Covid-19 pandemic. To support the consistency of positive self-confidence behavior that is formed, the counselee members are given directions to encourage each other and develop the confidence that has been obtained to continue to be consistent in a positive way and develop other aspects of positive behavior.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk ; 1) Untuk mengetahui gambaran perencanaan karir siswa sebelum diberikan layanan informasi tentang studi lanjut. 2) Untuk mengetahui gambaran perencanaan karir siswa sesudah diberikan layanan informasi tentang studi lanjut. 3) Untuk mengetahui perbedaan perencanaan karir siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberikan layanan informasi tentang studi lanjut. 4) Untuk mengetahui pengaruh layanan informasi tentang studi lanjut terhadap perencanaan karir siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode Quasi experiment, dengan menggunakan One group pretest-postest design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru dan sampelnya adalah 50% dari populasi, dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data maka perencanaan karir siswa sebelum diberikan layanan informasi tentang studi lanjut sebagian besar berada pada kategori sedang, sedangkan sesudah diberikan layanan informasi tentang studi lanjut perencanaan karir siswa sebagian besar berada pada kategori sangat baik dan baik. Dari perhitungan uji-t diperoleh thitung lebih besar dari ttabel (20,9 > 1,960) maka hipotesis diterima, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara perencanaan karir siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan layanan informasi tentang studi lanjut pada taraf kesalahan 5%. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan koefisian korelasi dan koefisien determinan, maka kontribusi layanan informasi tentang studi lanjut terhadap perencanaan karir adalah sebesar 38% sedangkan 62% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan media pembelajaran merupakan kompetensi penting bagi guru PAUD, termasuk melibatkan teknologi sehingga dapat memenuhi kebutuhan pembelajaran Generasi Z. Namun, beberapa guru masih mengalami kendala dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran yang erat kaitannya dengan teknologi. Metode yang digunakan adalah melatih guru PAUD yang belum pernah menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis mekatronik. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran mekatronik sehingga proses belajar mengajar lebih efektif dan efisien. Peserta yang menjadi sasaran pengabdian ini adalah delapan orang guru PAUD Kabupaten Kampar, Riau. Hasil pengabdian ini adalah meningkatnya kompetensi guru PAUD dari segi pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam hal penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis mekatronik dengan persentase 100%.

Abstract

Kasus Covid-19 memberikan dampak bagi dunia pendidikan sehingga dilakukan penutupan sekolah. Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan RI menerbitkan Surat Edaran Nomor 3 Tahun 2020 pada satuan Pendidikan dan Nomor 36962/MPK.A/HK/2020 tentang Pelaksanaan Pendidikan dalam Masa Darurat Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) maka kegiatan belajar dilakukan secara daring (online) untuk mencegah penyebaran virus lebih luas lagi. Perubahan pembelajaran dari tatap muka menjadi pembelajaran dari rumah membuat siswa kesulitan dalam belajar, sehingga menyebabkan perilaku membolos pada siswa masih saja terjadi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui  perilaku membolos yang dilakukan siswa di SMAN 12 Pekanbaru selama pembelajaran daring. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan survei dengan sampel sebanyak 122 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala perilaku membolos yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya, serta dianalisis dengan teknik persentase. Hasil analisis yang diperoleh perilaku membolos siswa berada pada kategori sangat tinggi pada perilaku masuk kelas online berganti hari. Selanjutnya  perilaku membolos pada kelas X dan kelas XI yaitu tidak mengikuti pembelajaran daring dan pada kelas XII masuk kelas online berganti hari. Sedangkan perilaku membolos paling tinggi terjadi pada siswa perempuan
